Rarely has a firing felt so satisfying. Good riddance, drama queen Stacy. I can't stand that whole "I've seen Real World: Seattle and want attention by creating an assault crisis" mentality. Good for Boyfriend Bill and Trump for calling her on the idiocy of her claiming she was threatened by him -- if Brent's talking to you with a camera crew 5 ft away scares you... you're either lying or feeble. Making yourself out to be a victim is not a way to impress the boss. Moreover, she should know, as an attorney, that she comes across as a big hostile work environment plaintiff waiting to happen. I'm surprised she didn't accuse the girl who woke her up of assaulting her, considering how completely freaked out she seemed to be.
And I got a real "dork sitting at the cool kids' table" vibe with Pepi during the pre-Boardroom bash-Brentathon. It was unseemly and unkind, and I would have expected that from the Poor Man's Daniel Cleaver and his coterie of blond former college cheerleaders, but not from Pepi.

That was absolutely horrible on so many levels. What a ame challenge; are you kidding me? And the Brent debacle was Stacy J redux; what a pile-on. After the first episode, I thought these people were amusingly awful... but now, just awful-awful.
At least Stacy is gone; I couldn't take many more episodes of her bitchface. And I've rarely seen such a pile of mush as Pepi. Wow - craptacular. The only person on the team that impressed me was Roxanne, for going against the grain and questioning Stacy on that bull. Go Roxanne!

Ok I'm in love with Ivanka. So pretty and smart. Can she take Trump's place? And Bill! Calling Pepi out, "that is so lame" LMAO!
Stacey was like a one woman coven. I'm glad Trump stopped that one. Sure Brent was annoying and he's not going to win. But riling him up isn't going to help you win and get him fired. Especially when it seemed like he was the only person managing to get the team any attention. I can't believe they didn't get to Times Square until noon and then they wandered around in bathrobes. If I'd seen that I would have walked the other way.
That was best firing yet. All the right people were fired. Though Michael could have gone for that stupid bathrobe idea.
Loved Trump laughing at Stacey not being able to handle Brent. And I loved that Roxanne noticed how wishy washy Stacey was.

I just don't get the Brent abuse. What is this shit? Pick on the fat guy and overemphasize all his flaws and talk about him behind his back like you're in high school? Jesus.

Wow! Thank God...because I don't think I coudl have looked at Stacy's horrific travesty of a nose job for another task.
She is the typical NYC biyatch who walks around thinking her shit doesn't stink while, in reality, she's the biggest misfit of them all. So glad she was canned. She incited a riot after Brent talked to her in the hallways and then back pedaled. I work with women like her everyday and was so thrilled to see her get the axe. Why is it that every "native New Yorker" thinks they know the best locations? Time Square is a horrible place to get people to stop and look at somethin or take a flyer or pamphlet.
Pepi, you're a pussy. Buh bye.
Neither team wowed me with their creativity. No call to action. No urgency. How about every tenth caller wins a say at a spa. A contest? A giveaway? Somethin?
The signs were piddly and the number to which people were to text were almost invisible.
The redhead? The one Bill calle dout and said her "Brent needed to be managed" excuse? Looks like a tranny. The women on that team all blow. Stacy was the one distracting people with her "fear." She didn't like Brent because he wasn't polished looking. If he were good looking she would have giggled and batted her eyes. As it was, she barely had enough nose to turn up at Brent. Newsflash, dear....Ya ain't all that.
The English guy reminds me of Scott Foley. Jennifer Garner's ex. Anyone else?
RE: The guys whom the winning team dressed. Anyone else get a "substance abuse problem and that's why I got fired and didn't see it coming" vibe? Because sales people, if they're good, don't get fired.

Whoa, Tarek’s deathless words of wisdom are “Second is first in a long line of losers”?
Jackass.
Ugh, I’m sorry, but getting marketing text messages to your phone must be totally obnoxious.
Brent. You stand out because you're totally obnoxious. But, I actually do think they don’t like Brent because he’s sort of unattractive. But, sigh, I’m not a big fan of the whole group deciding to gang up on someone to get them kicked off. So they’re setting someone up to fail, and Pepi handled it pretty poorly.
“It’s more simple than the whole Earth.” Heh, laconic Russian wisdom.
And, once again, this comes down to...making an idiot of yourself on the street. I swear to god, this is a marketing technique that only works in New York. In DC we’d all avoid you like the plague because you are being LOUD and CONSPICUOUS, and, well, that’s not how we roll in DC.
Wow, they are diagnosing him as mentally unstable? Wow, that is totally insulting. It’s very presumptuous of them to sit there and say shit like that. Though interesting that they’re suddenly questioning Stacy’s story. But, wow, he’s superdefensive.
Now Trump is broadcasting multiple firings?

Have to admit I sort of watched it in the background and didn't pay full attention. I think I'm over this show but turning in out of habit.
When will they learn? Don't say Brent was "threatening", it's not necessary. Just say "He acted like a spastic fucking retard." Only say it in ApprenticeSpeak. "His behavior was inappropriate for a professional, unless you are a professional clown hired to scare people away."
Michael is fun to look at.
Ivanka seemed pretty sharp.
I like Bill but he annoyed me when he tried to pin it all on location. He might be right- like I said I wasn't paying much attention- but just the way he said it made me want to smack him.
At first I thought, "this is the Shania Twain perfume thing all over again" because it sort of was. But Brent managed to make it even worse. HATED his smug sweaty grin in the elevator on the way up. I know he's "special" and I should pity him but he reminds me too much of Newman on Seinfeld.

Another meh marketing episode, and a meh crop of candidates with no one to like. I think wee blondie from last week (Alli?) is being given a favourable edit because she was shown to be nattering at Brent less, and she was able to label him as her choice for firing in the boardroom with a minimum of histrionics.
The two most deserving people got fired. Stacey was a whining drama queen, and Pepi was a people pleaser. Michael is a smug moron who isn't long for this game. And on behalf of Canada, I'd just like to say that we're really, really sorry about Brent, and would like to offer Celine Dion in trade instead.
Ivanka may be a Bratz doll with flat affect, but she was more competent that I expected her to be. Not a brilliant businesswoman in training, but a competent business school student. Plus she's an alto. Plus it was fun seeing Trump fawn over her and make Rancic kiss her ass.

I have no clue what the winning team did that made them win. There's no way I could evaluate any of their performances.
I'm not interested in watching a hysterical woman and an obnoxious man talk over each other and act like they are in junior high school.
I'm not interested in George & Carolyn both being gone in the same week. It's too early in the season for that kind of crap to happen, because it already feels like I'm watching another show.

I have to take Trump's side on this one. Even Ivanka was calling bulls**t to Stacy's claim. And the fact that the night before she was vacillating on whether she was really threatened or not really belies her claim that she was afraid of Brent.
Trump and Bill had a point -- if she's going to be going off on feeling threatened by an encounter that was really not that bad, that happened with a film crew right there to step in, how is she going to cope if something does go wrong? I think they just saw through her crap -- they were all trying to scapegoat Brent, and though Brent I'm sure isn't destined for a job with the Trump Organization, he was not the reason they lost the task. He is probably the reason they got half as many calls as they did.

Stacey made me sick. She interrupted and was rude and seemed more intent on complaining about Brent, then trying to complete the task. Why not just do your job, and leave Brent alone. My mind is still boggling over the supposed critics who blare it is the best season ever. Well so far we have seen suckitude beyond all other seasons; even craptastic #2. And then there are the performances. Trump's alone is putting in such ultimate douch-ery it deserves some kind of award. Maybe a 2x4 shoved up his ass? Not that there is room. But still.
Two tasks down and neither is any exercise, simple or complex, in any real business acumen whatsoever. No matter how many suits Lee wears. And if it had been anyone else but Lee, Tarek was talking about it would have pissed me off. But Lee looked so far out of his league. Lenny is blunt and not really a likely win. He has shown little real savvy but at least he has common sense.
And damn Tarek's smug ass for looking rather fine in the meet on the street shot with Trump pulling up in his stretch penis. And oh goodie, out pops Bill "Oops I just pissed myself hope no one notices" Rancic. Ivanka is rather pretty for Trump spawn. But neither George or Carolyn is ridiculous. Wonder if Trump is irked that both get more respect than he does?
I'm still unable to decide which is sadder. That Brent considers what he was doing at any point "dancing"? Or that he lists both his "dancing" and "robotics" as a talent/skill. It was like I was watching The Office on acid. Or from George Michael's car.
Michael? Still cute. Silly idea. Not great. But not the huge incredible disaster that Trump tried to make it out to be. Trump does not like male pretty. And to sneer about seeing the men in their bathrobes. What a tool. Not to mention the rest of the team went along with said idea. The old adage that used to be on a wall at Wharton said "there are no bad ideas, only bad ideas implemented". It took the PM and everyone else on the team to carry out Michael's idea. It wasn't bad until they all decided to follow through with it. And not being out until noon? Is what lost the task. Had they been out by eight am? They might have won, bathrobes or not. In fact if the times were not tricy editing, the losing team did more in the same time frame. Brent's "talents" notwithstanding.
And keeping Brent was a typical Trump histrionic moment. So was the double fire. Especially the way he announced it.

This was like the second episode last year in someways. Brent is just as annoying as Markus, and isn't as smart as he thinks, but he defintley didn't deserve to go. And his team did seem to interupt him a lot. It's not like he's going to keep blabbing on about nothing, like Markus. Just let him suggest his stupid ideas, and move on.
Glad that Stacy and Pepie were fired. Michael fucked up with the bathrobes, but it wasn't fire-worthy (IMO). At least he remained quite in the final boardroom. Glad that Roxanne went against the grain. That probably means that she is going soon. Right now, she's the only Syngery person I actual like. Besides that, I just want Tammy and Charmaine to stick around, because they are hot. And Sean is at least somewhat entertaining (I did chuckle at "Brent in a psycho house" comment, even though he was exsaggerating.)
Gold Rush was meh. I like Lee, but he really wasn't doing correctly at first. At least he admitted that he was wrong, and gave Lenny credit. In other new, Mensa Orlando Bloom is still a jerk.
I compared Lee to Andy last week, and now I have another one. For some reason, Dan's facial features remind me of Raj. Weird.
Ivanka was... pretty good. No one can replace Carolyn, but I liked her. She had more emotion then Alexis Stewart. And damn... she's hot! Now that I said that, Trump will probably have me killed. Then again, knowing him, he might love that blunt, tactless comment. Heh.

I don't know. I'm a woman, and this idea that women need to be treated with kid gloves or we'll feel threatened sort of bugs me. Not saying that's the idea you're conveying, but that was what Stacy was trying to milk, and it really discredits both women trying to make it in the workplace without special "be more sensitive" accomodations and actual violence against women.
I guess the difference is that there are those who are going to believe Brent's acts were threatening, and those who don't. I'm in the "no reasonably sane person could be threatened by that" camp, so I'm generally irked by Stacy and her lame, regressive ploy to get attention.

It was so apparent that Mark Burkett was whispering "keep Brent - he's great TV!" into the Trump's wacky weave.

Pepsi was doomed. I agree with the poster above about New Yorkers choosing locations. I live in NYC as well, and know the product all too well. It's geared for men in their teens and twenties. I would have headed to NYU or Wall Street. Even Fifth Avenue south of 57th has more foot traffic.

Everyone seems to forget Stacy's profession: Criminal Defense Attorney.
She was acting like an unscrupulous defense attorney. I think Brent failed to get that across when he was criticising her behaviour.
She was going after Brent the way she would put a prosecution witness on the defensive and try the witness rather than the case.
Brent still sucks. And Pepi lost it when he didn't sideline Brent. I think it was back in S2 when Bill asked an apprentice "Why didn't you put her/him on the bench?"
Sidelining Brent two weeks in a row would have cooked him. Period.

...have to clarify on my previous post.
I have no problem with Pepi and Stacy leaving. Pepi was useless, Stacy everbearing and annoying. Before the task was even over, I knew Brent wasn't going to go - he actually (IMO) got any of the votes they did.
However, no matter how BS Stacy's contention was that she was physically threatened, Trump's "you deal with criminals and are afraid of Brent?!?" ad naeseum, was horrible.
I am a senior business management professional myself (and a woman), and Brent's behaviour was appalling. This would have been an HR issue in the real world.

Yes, Brent is funny looking. Yes, he sweats a lot. But he's a member of our team, and bitching about him and working on ways to marginalize him isn't helpful. The PMs should have had more focused brainstorming, i.e., let's all spend fifteen minutes thinking and jotting down ideas and then we'll discuss. Then there's less interrupting and pettiness. Or, you know, pass around the talking stick or some old sorority/fraternity custom they can all respect, snap!
I can already tell that the next Synergy PM is not going to be thinking about "hmm, how can I integrate Brent into the group so we can all function smoothly" but rather will be thinking "how can I further push Brent out, make him a 'problem' and/or a 'distraction' requiring 'babysitting.'"
What I don't get was the fact that the ticket booth is ALSO in Times Square, it couldn't have been very far from where Synergy was hawking. Does 100 feet in midtown Manhattan make THAT much of a difference?
I think the big difference was that Gold Rush had a captive audience with all of the people waiting in the long TKTS line to get tickets. Synergy was trying to catch people on the way to shows, to restaurants, in transit elsewhere -- people who really aren't paying much attention to the moronic displays going on around them and are not interested in stopping to participate in marketing schemes, b/c they have places to be.

I am a senior business management professional myself, and Brent's behaviour was appalling. This would have been an HR issue in the real world.
I have to agree. I work in the construction industry and I've gotten into some pretty heated disagreements with some guys who work in a much more agressive atmosphere than yourtypical white collar corporation, and I've never had anyone get in my face like that. That's just out of line in that situation.

Ivanka has a gorgeous speaking voice. Get that woman on the radio!
And get Brent off my TV! Loud, obnoxious, clueless -- and did you see that smug little "fuck you" smile he had as he boarded the elevator to the Aspiring Corporate Weasel Suite?

I think it was more a question of timing. Gold Rush was there first thing in the morning when oodles of people are standing in endless lines, trying to get cheap tickets. They are literally a captive audience and most probably have nothing better to do.
Some on Synergy - Stacey, I think, I'm still working on the names - said they were there when people were trying to get to shows and dinner. Now, that means around 6:00 or even later. Times Square in the summer is a nightmare! Why do you think so many people never notice A NAKED COWBOY PLAYING THE GUITAR? It's wildly distracting, you have business people as well as tourists trying to get through Times Square as quickly as possible.
And why was there no incentive to text at all?
Dumb as dirt task. Did Gillette capture any legitimate target names? And did anyone else think Trump meant bikini shaves when he mentioned women using it? Only me? Oh. Okay. Never mind. (I think Tarek Bloom was with me)

Brent? Disruptive, maybe, but not the one who should go. Trump was right this time.
It amazes how quickly Stacy tried to gather a coven, Then try to play the "Psycho Shuffle" card on Brent. What's really sad is that Pepi was so quick to jump on her bandwagon. It's Ivana Ma all over again, sadly.
But even then Pepi was strategizing in terms of past epis: "Remember Omarosa in the season 1 finale?" He was also the one who said the psycho shuffle may not fly and was wary of "making a medical diagnosis". This leads me to believe that Pepi may get his (past episode) info from TWOP.
Kudos to Roxanne (and Bill Rancic) for calling Stacy's BS in the boardroom!
ETA: Kudos also to Roxanne as wake-up caller. Get those asses outta bed!
Am I the only one that thinks that Brent wearing shaving cream, would look like Rabies?
