I did a search and checked the threads and didn’t see one for this, so here goes.
The one who started it all – McDreamy aka Derek
Meredith is the everpopular Meh and Mere, which I love because it can be taken two ways. Same with Merely. There’s also Meredeath.
I like Eeyore for George.
I’ll stop there so everyone can play.
What’s your favorite nickname (or suggested nickname) for the stars, guest stars, and couplings on Grey’s?

I liked McSatan, or Satan, coming from Addison herself.
Frat Boy Bitch for Alex was okay, but the scene that introduced it was better. Meredith about to kick some ass, and McD like, "Whoa. This girl can stick up for herself!"
Oh, and Erin's names and terms referring to the characters, couples, goings on, places, things...refer to the recaps for the most awesome, tongue-in-cheek GA nicknames and references of all time. Hilarious.

I'm partial to fetus. Oh, remember in the pilot Bailey called George a puppy? That was funny.

I like Christina calling Mere a 'slutty mistress' and Mere calling Christina a 'pregnant whore'. They are so awesome together.

It does fit perfectly for George, but when I hear 'Bambi', I'll always see JD from
Scrubs.

I saw Patrick Dempsey in one of his teen movies over the weekend and was struck by his youthful resemblance to Dustin Diamond. So PD will forever be McScreech in my book.

Personally, I like Fetus for George, mostly because of the Scrubs-reference that Bambi is, but also because of the mental images it so joyfully envokes.

According to Alex, George's new name should be, Georgia. I tend to agree.

Yes. Because in a world where men and women are supposedly equals, what better put-down to give a guy than claiming he has stereotypically-feminine traits? After all, no self-respecting
real man wants to have anything in common with those poor, emotional, overly-sensitive, fragile females, right? Ye gods. I like you, Dirty Uncle SAlex, but -
shut up.

Most days, I think all the characters should be nicknamed "Shut it!"
I like "McDoggieDoc" for the vet guy, but "McWoof" makes me laugh, too.
I don't think Alex's shrieking rant a couple of episodes back about "Georgia" was actually about George at all, but about how Alex sees himself. But that's not really a topic for the Nickname thread, I guess.

Here's what I call them:
Derek: McDreamy, that's a given.
Meredith: Mere
Cristina: Extina, I can't help but pronounce the "x"
Sloane: McSteamy
Addison: Satan's Whore, lovingly though, I love Addison.
Finn: McScruffy and/or McWearingASweaterByARoaringFire
Callie: Crazy Girl
Karev: FratBoyBitch
But Bambi is TOTALLY the JDizzle's

I know, right? I've argued this point before, and I can't stand that Alex chooses to degrade George by referring to him as if he were a female. I hadn't noticed him calling George "Georgia," but if he has or will do so, it's gonna annoy me. I agree that Bambi belongs to JD from
Scrubs so I think Baby Boy is perfect for him, esp. when it's Cristina calling him that.
And Derek remains McWanker as far as I'm concerned.

Didn't mean to confuse anybody. AFAIK, Alex has never called him Georgia. I just meant that since Alex referred to him in girly terms, that Georgia would fit him. I've been calling him that sometimes in my post,
whatthedeuce. Sorry if it annoys you, but Georgie whines like my girlfriends, not my guy friends.
I just can't get annoyed at Alex for this. What guy hasn't called another guy, a woman, a wuss, a pussy, a little girl, etc. etc.? It's an easy put down for a guy with no originality. And, in this case, Alex was really mouthing off to himself. I'm venturing into Alex Thread territory, so I'll save it for there.

Derek is McDouchy or McDouchebag, for brilliantly managing to betray both women who love him at the same exact time.
I like Fetus for George, but that's only recently, and he still might earn his way out of it.
But my new favorite is the just-coined "McPlotDevice" for Doctor Finn, DVM.

I call Christina "Extina", too. And Callie is always CrazyCallie for me. Though I have to say, it bugs when people abbreviate Meredith (which is my name, too) as Mere. That word either rhymes with "ear" or is the first two syllables of her name. I write Mer. Unless of course you're going for the actual word mere to describe her. Because she is merely there.
