There is always a moment in your life when you have a crush on somebody and think that person is cute and very pretty. Television is no exception. Since today is Valentine's Day, I figure its the right time to name your favorite TV Crush. It can be a TV actor or TV character from the past and/or present.

I know that she doesn't smile very often on 24, but I really like Chloe O'Brian.
Backstagebear
Scott Patterson (Luke Danes), before the current season of Gilmore Girls. He's a modern Cary Grant. Handsome, charming, funny, clever. Perfect.
daisycat71
My biggest case goes back to my teenybopper days with David Cassidy.

Today, I'd say McDreamy truly is McDreamy, though I'm past the age when I would fantasize about an actor.
Nikki125
The list would be way too long if I named all my TV crushes since the beginning of my TV viewing history, but my current favorites are Wentworth Miller (Prison Break), Josh Holloway (Lost), and Tahmoh Penikett (Battlestar Galactica).
janeybird
I seem to have this sudden obsessive crush on Cesar Millan (The dog whisperer).
Maybe its the accent.....
Nikki125
Today, I'd say McDreamy truly is McDreamy

Yeah, Patrick Dempsey is gorgeous, but this reminded me of the huge crush I had on Kyle Chandler. I first saw him on Homefront and then I watched him on Early Edition. I think I watched that show longer than I wanted to just to get a glimpse of him every week. And damn you, Grey's Anatomy for blowing him to pieces! Why couldn't you have made him a regular?
labprincess
Right now it's Sayid on Lost. Not only is he hot, he can fix any mechanical device (he's the Iraqi McGuyver :), whip up a nice picnic on the beach, and build a jungle love shack! He can tie me to a tree and um, interrogate me any day.
Now, if only they'd give him more than 2 minutes of screen time...

I'm also becoming increasingly fond of George on Grey's Anatomy. He's a sweetie. I would've gotten rid of the dog before I'd even think of letting George move out of my house.

Before the bastards killed him, Vaughn on Alias. He was the only reason I continued to watch through the crap that was season 3. He's pretty. He even looked hot dressed up in Goth-gear.

And back when ST:DS9 was on, Dr. Bashir. So many fans hated him, but I loved him. I guess it helped that he was cute and had a nice accent, and that I was 13 when the show premeired. But to this day, I'll still watch pretty much anything Alexander Siddig has a part in.

ETA:
Why couldn't you have made him [Kyle Chandler] a regular?
Word. Blowing him up was stupid. He's a good actor and he brings the hotness.
McKay
Lilly Rush. Complex, troubled, intelligent, tough as nails (yet vulnerable!), dedicated, likes broken cats (my biggest weakness) and beautiful. What's not to love?
And my crush on Rachel Gibson is coming along nicely. Scared, but does her damnedest to suck it up and kick ass anyway.
Anakerie
Javier Vachon on "Forever Knight". Then again, I also had a major thing for LaCroix, especially when he did his Nightcrawler radio broadcasts. "If you love something set it free. If it comes back, it's yours. If it doesn't, hunt it down and kill it."
Rozinante
If I listed all the celebrity crushes I've ever had, we'd be here all night. (Oded Fehr, Hugh Jackman, Dale Midkiff, George Eads, Tom Selleck, Richard Dean Anderson, Scott Bakula, Jacques Torres, Sam Elliott, George Peppard, Alton Brown, Alan Rickman, Paul Gross...)

But one of my more recent ones is Max Mixson with the Houston ASPCA (Animal Cops: Houston).

I don't know why, but he's the main reason I kept watching AC: Houston, because my initial reaction was that there were already two animal cops shows, and they didn't really need a third one.

I still believe that, but I think I'm also developing a little crush for Lt. Michael Scott of AC: SF. It happened when that weeny little Chih fell for him so hard. I think I did, too. Heh.
Mack the Spoon
A lot of mine have already been listed, but I must add Hugh Laurie. He is brilliant in every way. Amazing.
Queenrikki
God, after this past Sunday's Grey's Anatomy George is pretty much the list right now. I almost died from George-cuteness overload.
fuzzy_ears
I had a crush on Mr. Sark of Alias....

Lt. Michael Scott

Which reminds me, I am currently crushing on Jim from The Office.
vorpal_poet
Max Mixson with the Houston ASPCA

Oh, me too! To me he looks like a slightly chubbier Bradley Cooper. Yum.

My newest favorite is Burke on Grey's Anatomy. He's just so, you know. Hot.
Namarie
Mark Harmon, David James Elliott. So nice...

Many of the previous ones apply to me, as well.
Spookster831
Hmm...

Well, Wilson from House. House from House. Mulder from the X-Files. Hell yes.
Nikki125

ITA! I always thought George was cute in a dorky-guy-who-needs-to-comb-his-hair kind of way, but I found him so sexy after the last ep. I loved when he was talking to Bailey, touching her face, and then jumped behind her to help her deliver the baby. Mrowr!

Funny, sweet, overall awesome guy I can see, but I just can't find George sexy. The post-Superbowl fantasy shower scene confirmed it. Now, Dr. Preston Burke (Isaiah Washington) on the other hand, I like.

I think Joey Cheek is cute, too. And Sawyer on Lost. And Weevil on Veronica Mars. I'm a closet fangirl.
bettymojo
My absolute first was Kirk Cameron, shortly followed by Johnny Depp.

Most recently I had the major hots for Burton from Survivor.

Nowadays it's Benjamin McKenzie, Wentworth Miller and - don't kill me, I take plenty of flak for this, let me tell you - Robert Knepper.

It's bad, and wrong, but I can't help it.
lilxprincess
Three words:

Anthony. Stewart. Head.

He's my McDreamy. He's only 34 years older than me...
Unraveled
Wentworth Miller and his character, Michael, are totally hot. They both seem like intelligent, caring, and hot men. He could give me his Blue Steel and his shirt off anytime.

I have a tiny girl crush on Summer Roberts from the OC. Granted, in real life, if I was gay or a straight male, I would never date her. But she [and the actress] is adorable!

Along those lines, both the characters that Adam Brody portrays, Seth from the OC and Dave from Gilmore Girls are characters that I would gladly date. They have "quirky" interests, and really sweet guys.
Queenrikki

Oh, you poor dear. Okay, I loved him too. It just sort of makes me sad now.

Since it seems to be going around these days, I'll admit I loved Kyle Chandler. I watched Homefront, I watched Early Edition, I watched him become "pink mist" on Grey's Anatomy *wails*. He's awesome and cute and I wish I could take him home with me.

I never found Isaiah Washington attractive before Grey's, but he is oddly hot there. I didn't really find George sexy until the last episode. Then, well, if he'd walked by me, I would have jumped him in the middle of the hallway. And since I'm talking about Grey's Anatomy any way, let's mention Derek. God is he hot. I always thought Patrick Dempsey was odd looking as a young man, but good lord, were his 30s good for him.
Jetjat
Girl crush: Jennifer Garner

Heterosexual crush: Bradley Cooper *sigh* (and the character\Will Tippin, post wussy-ass reporter turned hot construction worker, sometimes undercover CIA agent, witness protected Jonah.)
Pronger44
So many to choose from...lately, I have been watching my Angel DVD's so Wesley Wyndham-Price (Alexis Denisof) has to be at the top of my TV crush list. My all-time laminated crush list would be this:
  • Byron Sully (Joe Lando)
  • Michael Vaughn (Michael Vartan)
  • John Crighton (Ben Browder)
  • Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard)
  • Ben Covington (Scott Speedman)
  • Alternate: Wesley Wyndham-Price (Alexis Denisof)

I just love Wesley. From his first goofy-uptight introduction on Buffy to his scruffy bad-boy in season four of Angel, he just does it for me. It doesn't hurt that he's super-hot and has an awesome accent. YMMV, of course.
MelMelW
I want in on this . . .
Which reminds me, I am currently crushing on Jim from The Office.

Hell yes. I can't believe Pam - one of the better female characters on TV - hasn't dumped stupid Ray yet.

I am on board with the George love, also.

Loved Josh Randall on Ed, but cannot stand Courting Alex, so I had to give him up.

Also: Bradley Whitford. I don't know what it is, but I love that man.

Going back in the day, I have to go with Fred Savage, and I know people are laughing their asses off at me, and I don't care.
eagle
Going back in the day, I have to go with Fred Savage, and I know people are laughing their asses off at me, and I don't care.

Hell, no, I'm not laughing. Fred Savage was my very first TV crush. I was only 9, but in my head, Kevin Arnold was totally my boyfriend. I even tried to grow my hair long like Winnie, but my curly hair wouldn't cooperate.

Longest running crush on a fictional character would have to be Jordan Catalano (Jared Leto). I actually used to break into hysterical giggles whenever he was on the screen. You know that line Angela says, "You're so beautiful...it hurts to look at you"? That completely expressed my feelings.

Current crush would have to be Jim Halpert, on The Office, which several people have already mentioned. Stop by the subforum! It's tons o' fun!
Videostar
Now and forever, my #1 TV crush is Jordan Catalano from My So-Called Life, even though he kinda sucked as a boyfriend.

I also have a cartoon crush on Goliath from Gargoyles.
purple hippo
Three words, six syllables: Dr. Daniel Jackson. Yeah, I said it. Apparently, I’m a sucker for men who have gorgeous blue eyes, cute little nerdy gold-framed glasses, and the ability to speak faster than the speed of light. Go figure.
murphsully
I so had a crush on Almanzo (Dean Butler) from Little House on the Prairie. I can't think of any others right now, but I'm sure that there were more....
MysteriousKitty
My first tv crush was Dr. Doug Ross. George Clooney was gorgeous and so hunky. I still like him but I am not fan girl crazy like I used to be.

My new crush: Doug Wilson from "Trading Spaces". Yes I know he is a cad and a nuts designer but something about him just makes me want to jump him.

For my girlcrush it's a tie between Susannah from "Ballroom Bootcamp" and Giselle Fernandez from "Dancing with the Stars". Both ladies so sweet and so funny. Both so sexy and flexible.

Edited becuase incorrect spelling is not hot.
VersesBatman
Tom Welling, even though Clark is such a dickweed.
AeroGirl
Poor Kyle Chandler. He seems to be suffering from Stephen Culp Syndrome whereby if you show up on a show and AeroGirl squeals with excitement that you're there you're destined to die an unfortunate death in the very near future.

Can't help it though, I love him. I'd forgotten how much until he showed up on Grey's last week. And Stephen Culp, which is harder to explain to myself because he's not really that cute but there's something there. I'm sad everytime he gets offed on a show which, really, is happening entirely too often.

The very hot Mark Valley (formerly of Kean Eddie, The 4400) is someone for whom I'd almost brave the dreck that is Boston Legal. That's got to say something.

All the lovely men on Lost, of course. Josh Holloway, Naveen Andrews (also totally hot in the English Patient), Daniel Dae Kim, Matthew Fox. God, that show's like an overload sometimes.

And perhaps my all-time favorite, Connor Trineer as Commander Charles 'Trip' Tucker. Probably the only watchable thing about Enterprise. I'm not sure if it's the actor or the character but I adore him. He's the embodiment of the cute, cocky, mad-talented engineer that I have a terrible weakness for in real life and hardly ever see on television. Naturally, they killed him too.

Seriously, it's been a bad few years to be my TV boyfriend...
Namarie
Oh, I can't believe nobody has said this yet! (I can't believe I haven't said this yet!) David Krumholtz/Charlie from Numb3rs. He's the cutest math genius ever.
SoniaPL
My biggest TV crush of all time is on Xander (Nicholas Brendon) from Buffy.
My biggest current TV crush is Seth (Adam Brody) from The OC.
My current TV crush that does not fit the pattern of being a cute yet slightly nerdy brunette high school student is Turk (Donald Faison) from Scrubs.

My first TV crush ever was Shawn (Rider Strong) from Boy Meets World.
tonitonitone
Right now, I'm crushing on Evans Farmer on While You Were Out, Marcus Coloma on South Beach, both brothers on Supernatural, and when Clark isn't such a tool - Tom Welling on Smallville.
indigo4
I'm really old. My first crush was Flint McCullough (Robert Horton) on Wagon Train -- those skintight buckskins! I also liked Pernell Roberts on Bonanza and thought he was still hot on Trapper John, MD. And I liked Steve Williams as the captain on Jump Street. There were so many more, but my most recent crush is Jimmy Smits. It started with L.A. Law, and has lasted through NYPD Blue and The West Wing.
McKay
Girl crush: Jennifer Garner

Oh, seconded. I never thought much of her 'til I saw her doing press for Elektra. She's so adorable and charming. She seems like the sweetest person alive, and like she'd be fun to hang out with.

And one that's a bit random, but Anna (can't remember her last name), Jerry Rice's partner on Dancing With the Stars. She's cute as a button with her red hair, elfin face and tiny build, but girl is a total badass, too. And she's a gorgeous dancer.
ConnieVandelay
I had the biggest crush on Vance DeGeneres, the former correspondent on The Daily Show from 1999-2001. I was OB-sessed over Vance (who I ended up calling "Vanceypants"). I hate admoitting that my "love" for him was probably the reason why my grades first semester of senior year of high school plummeted. Instead of studying I'd be watching my Daily Show tapes over and over again or working on my Vance DeGeneres fansite. Luckily he left the showl--about 2 weeks before the school year was over. Then, I could finally study.

I had a crush on Ed Helms too for almost 2 years, but Vance will always take the cake for my craziest TV crush.

This fall, I had a little TV crush on Scotty on The Young And The Restless. Too bad they phased him out.

///edit///

Ack! I totally got the dates wrong on how long Vance was on the show! And I run a fan site on him! Shows how long I've been over him.
Rozinante
(...Derek Jacobi, Sean Pertwee, Jon Pertwee, Jim Caviezel, Paul Guilfoyle, Colin Firth, Sean Bean, Kevin Smith (Ares, NOT Silent Bob), Nathaniel Parker...)

I've always loved British Mysteries, and I confess to tiny crushes on Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes, Hugh Fraser as Captain Hastings (Poirot), and Kevin Whately as Sgt. Lewis (Inspector Morse).

And please don't laugh, but I still have a crush on DeForest Kelley's Dr. McCoy.
Teagan
The first real crush that I remember (and I'm sure there were a few before this) was Michael J. Fox/Alex P. Keaton. As an adult, I've had a thing for Bradly Whitford as Josh on The West Wing and Keifer Sutherland, as well as his character Jack, on 24.

As for reality shows and TV show hosts: Matthew on Survivor: Amazon and Josh Bernstein, the host of Digging for the Truth, are/were huge crushes.

Fun topic!
katsangel
my crushs include Jordan Catalano from My So-Called Life, Eric and Shawn from Boy Meets World and Westley from Buffy/Angel
Rinaldo
I go back a long way, and so do my TV crushes.

First and foremost, Michael Warren. Every episode of the short-lived Paris, absolutely obsession with his Bobby Hill on Hill Street Blues, and whatever guest shots I can track down since then. Always dreamy and hot.

From the same period, Gregory Harrision, his costar Brian (Stokes) Mitchell, Tom Selleck (I've gone off him now, but I sure thought he was cute then, plus his hair frizzed up in the humidity just like mine). Then Ken Olin, Phil Morris, Mark Harmon, et al.
the hero factor
Agent Scully. As she said herself, "Smart is sexy." I kept watching The X-Files well past the point of reason out of devotion to her. I was finally able to give the show up as the lost cause it was when Tara Maclay from BtVS managed to steal my affections.

And I've always had a bit of a boy-crush on Angel. He's so pretty.
chyvonne
My first crush was Lucky Spencer on GH, as played by Johnathan Jackson, he was so sweet helping Emily look for her birth mother. And I also had a gynormous crush on Johnathan Taylor Thomas as middle child Randy on Home Improvement.

Currently my (laminated) list would have to include:

Bradley Whitford/Josh from TWW
Scott Patterson/Luke from Gilmore Girls
David Anders/Sark from Alias
Stephen Colbert
Adam Brody/Dave Rygalski from Gilmore Girls (NOT Seth "MeMeMe!" Cohen)
with Tom Cavanaugh/Ed Stephens from Ed as my alternate.

I think I've got a thing for the snarky guy.

Girl crushes include Allison Janey from TWW and Amber Tamblyn from Joan of Arcadia.

(Edited because, although they coincide a lot here on TWoP, funny, and snarky are not the same thing)
ladyDonna
Growing up, unlike my friends, I never had crushes on boy band members or sports guys, and very few movie actors. Most of my crushes have been introduced to me thanks to TV.
It's a little scary to me to think now, but I recall as a young girl thinking that Adam West's Batman was really sumpin'.
Then the original Star Trek came into heavy syndication, and Spock came into my life.
McCoy.

Rozinante, are you me? Derek Jacobi was my first huge crush. I loved him for years. First as the title character in I, Claudius, of course, then in the BBC productions of Richard II and Hamlet.
Sean Pertwee caught my eye as Hugh Beringar in the Cadfael TV series.
I loved Tom Baker as the fifth Doctor in Doctor Who. He was just so much fun, and had such a wonderful smile and voice.
Later I fell for Patrick Stewart in ST:TNG, but ultimately it was Brent Spiner as Data that became my enduring crush from that series. So mad that Threshhold was cancelled; Brent looks good with that silver hair.

As a grown woman with children, I developed my first crush--nay, obsession--on a cartoon character, Samurai Jack. What a cartoon character he is, though.

Most recently I've loved Martin Sheen as Jed Bartlet in The West Wing. He just rocks so much.
Nikki125
Funny, sweet, overall awesome guy I can see, but I just can't find George sexy.

It's all about context for me. In the context of this last ep, in particular, the scene I described with Bailey, yeah, George was hot. He was being Mr. I'm Taking Charge, But I'm Also a Sensitive Guy and I found that very sexy. YMMV.
First and foremost, Michael Warren.

Oh, yes. I forgot about Michael Warren. Talk about dreamy. I remember crushing really hard on Bobby Hill back in middle/high school (Hill Street Bobby Hill, not King of the Hill Bobby Hill).

I had to think hard about my very first TV crushes because they were soooo long ago. I am really dating myself here, but my firsts were Dirk Benedict when he was on the original Battlestar Galactica and Erik Estrada from Chips. Yeah, Erik Estrada and don't laugh. He was a big deal when I was in elementary school.

I also have to mention Jeffrey Donovan. I was so obsessed with that man when he was on Touching Evil. He will always be one of my top TV crushes. I miss seeing him every week on my TV, but I am so happy that he will be guesting on Monk in a few weeks.
last minute
I had huge crushes on Chad Allen and Ricky Schroeder back in the day. "The Ricker" made my young self swoon. I am currently eagerly awaiting the return of Prison Break so I can drool over Wentworth Miller some more. And Sucre is just so cute.

I also had a major girlcrush on Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully, which has been revived due to her absolutely awesome performance in Bleak House.
scair

Hey, I was just going to mention him! Some of the hatred I feel in my heart for USA Network over cancelling Touching Evil will be assuaged by seeing him on Monk. No matter, I am still bitter that they deprived me of Jeffrey Donovan by giving The 4400 five-minute-long promotions and virtually NOTHING to my show.
Hey Im Jeff
Almost any guy that's been on Desperate Housewives... Ricardo Antonio Chavira, Steven Culp, James Denton, Doug Savant, Shawn Pyfrom, Ryan Carnes, Jesse Metcalfe.
MingSchwazia
Oh man, Jason O'Mara as Conti in In Justice... that guy's just fantastic. So, so pretty.

And as weird as it sounds, I've had a thing for the Piven all the way back to Ellen, before he got hair plugs or whatever. Something about that kid is sexy as hell.

And I'm with all of you on the George love. TR Knight was on Martha Stewart this past week making soap, and he was nervous and charming and oddly enough, really into making the soap. He was wearing this knit beanie that got his hair off his face. Damn cute.
