but then we had that "You're still you ? " I'm still me " bit and I am blown away. I got nothing now.
Absolutely freaking nothing. My brain is mush. Best freaking Meh/McD moment in S2 so far, that didn't involve hair sniffing.
Beffers-- I'm right there with you! I melted! He basically admitted to her that he still wants her.... I know he didn't say that, but it's not like he can right now.
I don't understand why Addison would project something so painful on another person, especially when she had gone through it herself. Wouldn't she find some other way to "teach" Izzie then to torture and lie to her?
flux-- yes! So just because Addison went through it, that means she has to put Izzie through it???? Give me a break... I thought that was very unoriginal of Addison, this is an intern program, not a hazing!

I loved Mere's idea of putting the two babies together-- now that there are only four, why not put the other two in an isolette together?
Poor Izzie-- she was unjustly tortured.
Rosanna Arquette murdering because she didn't want to be sans boyfriend???? That's kind of pathetic, no???
Alex-- feel sorry for him, but he fucked up. And I really don't hate Olivia like everyone else does.

Yeah, I am clueless on Izzies "big" lessson too. WTF ? I loved how Izzie said " it will make me a better doctor " with such distain in her voice. You could sooooo see her thinking " Well unlike you, you cold hearted bitch, I'd really prefer to be a better "person", but maybe that's just me "
How cool was it for McD to share that little snippet with Alex, from his own past ?
Loved Meh not wanting McD to give up the trailer. Unlike McS, she gets how much peace he gets from living on his land and lets him get on with it. Another indicator that McS really just doesn' get her husband.

I get very creepy vibes from Addison and Chief convos.
And I suspect the dog that is yet to be named (anybody want to get a little pool going?) will be spending a lot of time at Joe's.
Loved Mama Bear Bailey's hoochy coochy banter with the quints.
Interesting how McSatan still has to do all the chasing. Also that George is privvy to MerDer stolen moments and she's not. So the audience knows what she doesn't: that McDreamy still isn't over Mer. And until he's not, wifey won't inhabit his trailer the way Mer does.

I thought at first that Emily wasn't really dead, that the nurse was told to tell Izzy that as part of the "lesson", but I couldn't figure out why. Then when Dory was holding the infant, I thought it confirmed that Emily was indeed alive. Alas, she wasn't, so I was all wrong.

Okay, was I the only one pissed off that TPTB want the audience to like Addison so much that they have to HIT US OVER THE HEAD with the fact that "really she's a nice person, but she just had to do that to Izzie to make her a better doctor" *PUKE* The scene with Dr. Webber was overkill.
Oh, I think they are totally playing this *so* right by making Addison likable. I wasn't even a Syd/Vaughn 'shipper on "Alias," but the writers blew their entire show to hell by introducing Lauren and trying to make her so likable we'd be torn by the triangle. To say it didn't work is an understatement. The trick to a good triangle is making the opposing partners equally likable so the viewers are okay with either pairing, even if they prefer one pairing to the other. My intense Shepard hates makes this difficult for me, but from an objective point of view, Meredith and Addison are equally intelligent, pretty, snarky women -- he's just not deserving of either. This is clearly a triangle, and if anything, I think the insta-Shepard/Meh love is the weak link, not making Addison likable.
Okay, I missed it. What exactly was Addison's lesson to Izzy?
She needs to stop getting attached to her patients and making it personal. It's a problem of Addison's as well, and Derek scolded her for it in the episode with the crack baby. I guess Izzie invested herself way too far into Dody's life, and Addison was tired of her judging everyone.
And if Mer/Alex actually go anywhere, I'm never watching this show again.
Me too! Other than being easy, I don't really see Meredith's appeal. I love her friendship with Alex and their snarky banter, but it needs to stop at friendship.

Hate McD, but love the resident/intern relationships the writers are building. Geogre/Burke, Izzie/Addison, Christina/Bailey, Alex/Shepard...guess it's just Meh left out in the cold.

I agree but so much of teaching in medicine is like that. All the attendings before you had to fight through the same shit, so they make the underlings do it too.

Dear Addison: You're a cold bitch, just as I knew you were. I get she was trying to teach Izzy her "doctorly wisdom", but to basically torture an infant to do so...she sucks. Izzy should've clocked her.
The baby wasn't suffering. She was dying and they had her on all the pain meds she could have. If doctors and nurses get too attatched, particularly in that specialty, they are going to have their hearts broken a lot. My brother-in-law's niece had a problem with her heart, there was nothing they could do but make the baby comfortable while she died.
I am not a shipper. I just don't see the Meh/Deh some of you do. I know some of that is my dislike of PD which makes me dislike his character.
I cannot wait to see how everyone except Izzie ands together to help Alex pass his boards. Or will she let go of her anger and end up helping him too?
