Me first? Yea!
And to think, I almost skipped tonight because I was getting bored with the whole thing.
Best moment? Randal's sheepish little giggle about seeing his wife. And we got to see it again at the end of the episode!
Anyone else think Felicia had it in the bag until she started crying?

Oh. My. God. I can’t believe he fired Alla. I was biting my nails all the way through the boardroom thinking that Alla was going to get the axe from the way Trump and the Viceroys were talking and then he fired Felisha and I was so relieved. And then “Alla – sit”. Uh oh. That can’t be good. And sure enough, she got sacked. I’m still in shock. How is Alla better than Rebecca?
I think I love Randall. His “I got to see my wife” voice was the cutest. Evah!

Wow. I so did not see that double-firing coming.
And now I'm sad that there won't be the round of interviews that weed out the weaker members of the Final Four (or Three, as the case may be).
ETA: Jacob, a couple of us started threads at the same time. Could you please lock this one and merge it with the one AlmondEyes started? (AE beat the rest of us by about 20 seconds.)

Trump: Alla, sit down.
Me: Holy shit, he’s gonna do it again.

Thanks for starting this, Almond Eyes.
What do you guys think? Was he planning to fire them both at the outset? Eg, move into the final two regardless of the outcome? The cynic in me says yes. But the kid who likes surprises likes to think not.
I know the multiple firings have been done before, but THIS was totally satisfying to me. The look on Alla’s face. And on Felisha’s! Carolyn, of course, still rocks. And Donald slomostriding to the suite, a hoot. Randal giggling about getting to see his wife. Almost helps me forget last season. Almost. Oh, what fun!

TRUMP! You DA MAN! Thank you for firing Alla! Thank you!
Alla was insufferable this episode! From her lackluster performance on the team, to her STUPID idea to add all that text (and it was HER idea, not Felisha's), and then the lying in the boardroom about it..
Just GO, Alla! Get the hell off my screen, you big liar!
Felisha? Good luck, sweetie. I was really hoping you'd be in the final three, but that's the way it goes sometime.
Randal and Rebecca in the final two? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ! I wasn't impressed with their video, either.
The only way I'm going to be excited about the finale is if Markus or Toral come back to screw someone over royally.

I loved how Alla practically took off running...she suspected a second firing I bet, or she wouldn't have tried to beat it out of there. Trump's "sit down, Alla" was awesome - and so was the look on her face. She knew! So happy to see her go - her voice grated on my nerves.

Goes down as the best boardroom yet. If not for the sheer shock value for the fact that Feleesha says "I'm sorry I let you down" like she has some weird-ass parent issues! I love love love Alla getting fired - totally unexpected and the reason why I hate to say it but I am Trump's bitch!

THat was BULLSHIT. Personally I love Rebecca compared to many female contestants and I would hang out with her anyday over Alla. She is cute as hell and is booksmart, but she has no business being in the final two. I am glad Felisha is gone. I don't like Alla, but even I will admit she is deserving of the final two and has been the best candidate in past tasks. As annoying as Alla is, she is no phony like Tana from last year who was just annoying. Though I admit Alla didnt have any good ideas for this task despite Felisha's insecurity. OVerall, Alla was superior to Rebecca.
Maybe Alla should have been on Martha's show.

Whoa. I was totally not expecting another multiple firing, but it was awesome. I really liked Felisha and was hoping that she would pull it out, especially when Carolyn was pretty much defending her, so I'm sad to see her go, but it was her time...
On a side note, what was with Rebecca's bf? Did she even kiss him at all?

I too did not see this coming. But if you think about it, it is a 13 week "job interview," and this was week 11. If you think about it, week 13 would be the finale, which would make week 12 for the final two.
How about Rebecca's reaction to her boyfriend showing up for the reward? Randal was all happy and excited to see his wife. But Rebecca was like: "Who's there? Oh, hi..."

Well, lurker here posting now. I just about died when he told Alla to sit. That was so funny. She was so over confident by getting up and leaving. She deserved it tonight, getting fired. As uch as I would have loved a Randall vs. Alla final, she was just too abrasive to stay. And loved The Donald's swagger in for the previews too.

Loved how Alla tried to jump up outta her seat and run upstairs before she got fired.
Sit down biatch...looks like you got kilt in there too.
I am not really sad to see either go.
Congratulations Randall...unless Donald's surpise is that Rebecca is hired as well. (which has been speculated by many other prior to tonight)

Alla was so impressive until now, and I think she even did okay on the task. I was shocked at her "All I can do is laugh" attitude to Felisha's unhappiness. I think Randal is equally or more skilled than Alla but he's way more compassionate.
Totally agree with this and that is why I not sad to see Alla go. Karma baby!

Alla was so impressive until now, and I think she even did so-so on the task. I was shocked at her "All I can do is laugh" attitude to Felisha's unhappiness. I think Randal is equally or more skilled than Alla but he's way more compassionate.
Edited to add that Alla was horrid in the boardroom. What was all that phony crap about how shocked she was that Felisha supposedly lied about the person responsible for filling that video up with incomprehensible text? And just how smug was Alla prior to the boardroom, suggesting that Felisha should just bow out gracefully?
Ugh, I was rooting for this woman! (but happily, not as much as I was rooting for the cute, giggly, in-love-with-his-wife Randal).
Edited yet again to add that I thought the Rebecca/Randal video was hopelessly amateurish. I didn't think either video was particularly good, but I'm pretty sure Trump knew from the outset who he wanted to lose.

Rebecca and Randal in the finals, are you fucking kidding me? Biggest mismatch ever, way to have just about no point in even watching. Randal vs. Alla would've been fun, too bad Trump had to go and ruin this season. I wonder if he was afraid of the possibility of Alla tearing Randal a new one in the final boardroom and making him unable to justify this season's pre-planned affirmative action hire.
Yeah, Alla was completely right about Felisha's insecurity. I don't think it was because of Alla actually being overbearing, it was about her feeling the need to show to the boardroom that she was in charge, particularly after Carolyn's bitchy comments during the last boardroom. Felt bad for her, I could feel her sense of panic, and it was really uncomfortable to watch her implode like that-- I think I felt more sorry for her than I have for anybody else on the show at any time.
All the hemming and hawing about making Alla director and then not letting her direct was driving me nuts. And I think Rebecca sucks, but it seemed like the same thing was happening to her.
Rebecca's stupid mumbling actor sucked, she shouldn't have said "That's fine," she should've got someone else in there. She was lucky Randal was there to tell her exactly that. That actor better hope nobody sees his shitty national audition tape. Randal was hideously over the top, but it was a cute performance. :D
Oh holy hell, Felisha and Alla's video was horrible. So much for the suspense. The silence! The words flying by! "If you want to know what the hell you just saw, visit
http://microsoft.com/livemeeting." Oh man. That was so bad it even turned most of the sympathy I'd been feeling for Felisha into plain annoyance. It made me start to want to see a boardroom bloodbath.
I'll let others snark on Rebecca's boyfriend, I don't wanna kill the warm thoughts of seeing Randal and Zathura being happy together.

That's pretty bogus and confirms for me, at least, that the 5 call win margin last week was rigged. Felisha definitely needed to go. But Alla? She's definitely stronger than Rebecca and deserved to be in the final 2.
When I read the stuff on The Smoking Gun about her, I wondered how Trump could have Alla as a legitimate executive. Now I guess we see he couldn't.
I don't know, the whole thing seems fishy to me.
But, hey, at least it saves me from having to watch any more episodes this season.

I think Trump already had his mind made up before the boardroom...he knew he wanted Randall and Rebecca for the final 2, so while it was stunning (IMO) to see both Felicia and Alla fired, I think he knew it before he got into the boardroom.
And that said, I think Alla was truly stunned to be canned...

I was disappointed in Alla. Nobody wants a crybaby on their hands, but a good manager is also capable of feeling and exhibiting sympathy when appropriate.
Rebecca's boyfriend? He seemed sweet, but they don't "match", in terms of appearances. Randal and his wife were freaking adorable though.

It seemed like Alla was getting "the bitch who needs to be put down" edit. Starting with the clip show where she was shown as the orchestrator of the anti-Toral campaign ("there'll be nothing left of Toral," I think she said), then showing her play Adam and Felisha against each other, now this task and the clip of her saying "All I can do is sit back and laugh [at Felisha's tears]" -- there was something of a "she's too strong, take her down" tone that I didn't like. However, I did have issues with her performance on this task. She undermined Felisha repeatedly and the video had her touches all over it -- remember the too-fast-to-be-understood video from the second task she designed? I have no problem believing it was her idea to do the text blurbs on the Microsoft Office video.
I'm loving these double-firings. It's not to have so many Dead Apprentices Walking stuck around; just cut to the chase and get rid of the ones you won't hire, Donald. Save us all some time.

Ha. That totally made up for the suckitude of last week. I still don’t know how I feel about the result but it sure was an entertaining show!
I thought at the beginning Excel had it locked up because they seemed like they were going to show the product, and CE was more focused on showing the problem and not the solution. When they switched gears at the end after they had too much material, I thought Alla was going to pull it off again. She’s been so fun to watch. Like a superhero that you kind of want to root against but can’t help rooting FOR.
But their video truly sucked. Alla SEEMED to be into it but I’m not convinced she didn’t get sick of Felicia and just muck it up to send her home. Since Felicia should have recognized Alla as the rightful winner anyway. Ha. She’s got some pretty good ego there, but she was also absolutely right.
Did Rebecca say, on the boat, “We looked up and saw the HORROR of my boyfriend and Randal’s wife?” I thought she said that in a joking way but it doesn’t seem right. When I first spotted her boyfriend I thought he was David from TA:Martha come to be put on one of their teams for the final task.
LOVED Randal squeeing- “I got to see my wife!” If I didn’t love him before I did after that. No way does he not win this. He sure has gotten better looking as the season went on.
I think word of the reward leaked to Alla & Felicia and they dressed for the reward instead of the Microsoft presentation. Geez. They don’t do professional dress all that much, do they?
I don’t know what I think of the final boardroom yet. I’m stunned. It was fun to see Alla told “sit back down” and find out Trump hasn’t already painted her name on a parking space. But on the other hand- DAMN, why is she fired and Rebecca still there? But it was great. But it was terrible. AUGH. I can’t decide. But I loved the episode!
Next week- Randal and Rebecca crap their pants when The Hair comes in, thinking that in a boardroom first, Trump has decided to fire the winners instead of the losers. HA. I love this stupid show. Even when I hate it.

I only suspected Alla being fired when Trump started to interrupt her and not focus on Felisha's mistakes. She was insecure and she did overcontrol... however, Alla's arrogance and bad karma finally bit her in the ass.
I probably should have picked up on the over confident Alla interviews too, but I didn't catch any of the spoilers prior to the double fire.
I am not sure when Alla's stripper backgrond came out, but I always suspected that it would be an impediment for Trump, whether he said so or not.

It's official. The double-firings have gotten old. However, this last one was worth it. "Alla, sit down." This is followed by Trump making the walk back toward the suite. Priceless!
Yay for Rebecca for winning as P.M.! And yay for Randal and Rebecca's reunion with their S.O.'S!

Neither did I. I turned the channel as he was giving the heave-ho to Felicia, thinking she was the only one to be fired and turned back to see them both sitting in the cab. I guess showing text on the screen that no one has time to read isn't exactly a great strategy for a video. Did they not notice that when they had those 4 boxes on a single screen it was on for five seconds?

Cripes, this season is like the battle of the Somme--they get mowed down willy-nilly.
Did not see Alla getting fired, although the way she pumped herself up, I was suspicious. The friendship in this season is more reminiscent of the glory days of season one.
Dorkiest thing ever--Trump doing the slo-mo walk. God.

Ugh, I knew before hand because I can't stay away from the spoiler thread, but I still don't understand why he fired both. So Alla's a strong leader, hard to lead, well, at this stage in the game you need to be able to lead the strong players.
I also don't like the way the Microsoft execs looked when Alla and Felecia entered. It just gave me the vibe that they had already made up their minds.
Both videos sucked, I guess Excel's sucked less, but personally I thought both were just as good as the other.
Oh well, off to a boring final two that will only be saved if some of crazier rejects live up to their reputations.
Best part of the show for me was Trump telling the wife she's lucky to be married to him and he can't even keep a straight face.

Naah, I don't think so. Alla touted herself as queen bee throughout the entire task, and Felisha was just one of her little worker drones she planned to CRUSH KILL DESTROY. You could see it on Alla's face after Trump fired Felisha; "okay, my work is done, onward to the final two." Except not, of course. Maybe if Alla was a bit more gracious and had some humility, they wouldn't have canned her.
Damn, that was good.

Dec 1, 2005 @ 10:11 pm
Goodness. Alla just refused to not hand her ass to trump in a gift box nicely wrapped with a bow on it. I didn't feel sorry for her after being such a raging bitch and basically lying her ass off about the direction of the video. It also was great vindication for her craptastic directing and editing skills back during the car task. Watching their presentation and all I needed was a stale donut and a Sunny D in pac and I would have been back at "Successful SATs Skills: Your Gateway to the best Edcuation and future" at the local Radisson Ballroom B.
Both suck. Both are gone. And Trump so enjoyed laying Alla's take no mercy ass to waste. He practically lifted the table with the woodie he got when she stood up and let him make her sit back down.

Holy shit! Best final two ever. I really wanted them to show us Trump telling Randal and Rebecca tonight though.

This is the most bogus final two since Kelly and JenM. The only reason why Randal and Rebecca won was because of Randal...again. This show is so freakin' bogus. I knew Trump was keeping Rebecca around for a reason...and it ain't because she's a star.
Alla is a nightmare. She was constantly trying to mak Felisha insecure with her whole "Are you sure you want to do it cause I'll do it" schtick.
Felisha potentially had a pass until she started with the tears. But I loved watching Alla get up and then get stopped by Trump and fired. Suck it, witch. You blew as bad as Felisha did. I actually felt bad for Felisha listenign to her praise and compliment Alla in her confessionals while Alla was looking down her nose and snotterviewing about how weak Felisha was. Trump described Alla perfectly...she's cunning. She was trying to usurp Felisha's leadership power at every turn. Buh bye...
Rebecca's boyfriend was dorky and she could not have seemed less excited to see him.
Gah. Another year another candidate that skated through the seasonand got to the Final Two spot. Somethign about this just isn't right.
too bad Trump had to go and ruin this season. I wonder if he was afraid of the possibility of Alla tearing Randal a new one in the final boardroom and making him unable to justify this season's pre-planned affirmative action hire.

So, this episode spotlighted how Felicia is a wimp and Alla is a cold, cold woman. Still, I thought that Trump would keep Alla around--that was a big shock.
Ah Randal, how do I love thee? You are de man. And your cutsie voice about seeing your wife! Hee!
Trump's little talk about "Family" didn't really jive with his firings--Alla has 4 kids--or does it? Because she's willing to be away from them for so long?

Alla's firing was good TV but this was the 3rd non-single firing within the past 6 weeks or so. This type of firing will get tiring.
As soon as Trump said "sit down," I knew what was coming.
Alla would have jazzed up next week's show. I think the job is Randal's for the asking. He has the charisma and can always be an actor if the consulting thing doesn't work out. The video was much better than Alla's/Felicia's. Theirs was WAYYYY too wordy. Show, don't tell.
With this show about to go to it's final week, maybe it's time to retire "step up," maybe forever. I heard it 3 times tonight - perhaps that was an all-time low!

Okay, I have to say I absolutely love this season. While it is somewhat annoying in a sense that Trump appears to have no rules whatsoever, and just does whatever he feels like, at the same time it makes a hell of a lot of sense. Alla, for all her faults, clearly deserved to stay more than Felicia--but at the same time, is there any doubt that of the 3 remaining, she would've been the one to leave? I think it makes a lot of sense for Trump to say "You know what, even if you weren't the worst person on this task, your performance still was poor enough that I don't want to hire you, so why fire you next week if I can do it now?"
Also, is it just me or did the cab at the end just brazenly run a red light? Maybe it's an odd camera angle, but it sure looks like they just fly through the light. Not that this is shocking for an NYC cab, I just thought it was funny.

Agreed! Randal has won, thanks to the firing of who should have been his toughest competitor. Rebecca has shown in so many instances (standing behind Toral, failing to "wrangle" Clay) that she just isn't Final Two material. I can't even remember why she lost her first task, it was so many failures ago.
I'm pretty certain out there isn Loserville, people like Marshawn, Brian, Clay, certainly Alla - hell, even Markus, are muttering to themselves "Rebecca?"
It's totally Randall's game to lose
Depending on his final team, particularly if he has Markus, Toral and Alla.

Dec 1, 2005 @ 10:15 pm
Based on what I'm seen of Alla up to but not including tonight, I thought she was getting sandbagged as soon as she stepped into the boardroom. Trump and the Viceroys were hitting the same theme -- she can't be led -- and I was really surprised when, after all their stroking of Felisha, Trump then fired her. And then he fired Alla.
Alla was probably the most creative and driven of the candidates this season. She often led well, being the only person who seemed to be able to make Clay follow. But I thought she was being given a loser's edit early in the show when she was shown to be nowhere near as nice as a Buick Lucerne. It's possible that there may have been a lot more strife on her teams than we were shown. Or Trump just wanted to clear the way for the coronation of Randal.
But judged by tonight's task alone, that firing made perfect sense. She stunk up the joint with that cheapass, 3 AM infomercial that didn't look anything like a Microsoft project. I was shocked it looked so bad, really, given that Alla has done well on layout, marketing and design tasks, and she rocked the Lamborghini video (although her contribution may have been largely verbal rather than visual on that one -- I can't remember now).
Felisha will do well for herself. She's likeable and competent, and didn't do anything major to embarrass herself in this show.
