Bye George. Good riddance.
Evergreen
I missed the part where Bree figures out that George killed Rex! Please, someone tell me what tipped her off! Thank you.
Mosquito
Okay, that nun? SO not hot. While watching, my roommate and I had this exchange:

Roommate: That nun looks like what a robot would look like if it tried to look like people.
Me: And if the robot was kind of a dude.
espresso
That was some dramatic ish. Great episode. Carlos and Gabby were hilarious. Bree was absolutely breathtaking in more ways that one. George was just... yeah. The last ten minutes killed me, but I especially loved the last shot of Bree walking away from George's bedside.
Toga
Wow! Great episode! It made up for last week's.

Wait, so Gabrielle and the lawyer had been working for months trying to get Carlos out of jail, and then all of a suden he's out on parole because of some nun? Bah, who cares, I'm just glad to see Carlos out of prison. And I loved Gabrielle's "Eeeee!" when Carlos threw her on the bed.

The nun was not hot. She was scary.

I find it ironic that now Gabrielle has become the jealous one in the relationship.

Bree looked gorgeous in that white, low-cut gown.

I kind of felt bad for George at the end...
lexualhealing
Damn, that nun is ruff. "I'm from the south side, bitch!"
Abbagirl
Ohmigod! Good for Bree. Although I think 'bellboy' knowing about her going to the room will probably come up again at some point.
No more George TG!
kmp
All I could think of when I saw the nun was the girl who played the nanny (and was kicked off by Kirk Cameron for her PlayBoy past) on Growning Pains. I actually had to look the actress up on imdb to make sure it wasn't the same person.

The police found evidence (Rex's prescriptions and George's Diary entries) at George's house and the Detective told Bree on the phone. She called the police right after she received George's note that he took pills.

You mean it wasn't? I thought it was the same actress too!

And Susan still bugs me!
baconrocks
Okay, the nun certainly wasn't hot, but she was cool as shit!!! I think that's going to be a fun storyline.

Tonight, Lynette was great, and looked fantastic. Bree has never looked better, Susan was a grown-up. No moody Mike and some great Edie. George is dead and Sophie didn't appear - I don't think the episode could have possibly been better!
ptfull
Hooray! for KimberBree!
I was screaming "Call the police! so they can fry his ass" but Ill take what I can get as long as George is gone.

Yay! Dr. Goldfine is back!

I guess this is the end of Bossy Boobs.

For some reason I like Gabby and Carlos better apart. But I did enjoy the BaaadJealous Gabby. That "Nun" and George would make a great couple, and we got a shoutout to Chicago.

Its official, I HATE! Lynette. Injuring innocent animals-pass, injuring innocent bystanders-pass, her antics costing people their jobs and the company millions-thats it, HATE!

Susan, I gotta say I did feel for trying to start something with her dad, but girl you gotta learn to let it go. It says ALOT about her relationship with men.

No applewhites, but Ill let it go, it was good episode aside from Lynettes antics.
LaPetiteSinge
Nun was so not hot. I was hoping it'd be Elle MacPherson or something. "I heard some of your...talk." BWA!

Only problem with the Bree thing is that her fingerprints will be on the door handle. But I'm sure she can come up with some excuse - she'll be fine. I'm so on her side - that dude is CRAZY. "She loves me...she loves me not..." Holy shit. And she looked amazing in that Marilyn Monroe dress.

Poor old Susie. That "guardian angel" bit was actually pretty smooth.
gymdiva22

Okay, that nun? SO not hot. While watching, my roommate and I had this exchange:
Stepford Nun...

In other news, Bree is back!!! Damn George in the hotel room was extra cold and extra great.
Losky2
Yessssss! Bu-bye George! THIS is what DH should be.

Dr. Goldfine is alive, George isn't and Bree has come to her senses. "all is right with the world... almost."
Sunidesus

Word! I thought that the big deal was going to be that the nun was going to turn out to be a transexual or something.

So, anyone think George will somehow make it?
dorakpasa
Sister Mary HotPants! Loved it.

Agree that she's not so hot but she is hot for Carlos. Gaby vs the nun. Should be fun.

Bree. You are awesome.
BleuBelle
I didn't think the nun was so hot either...anyone know who the actress is? She does have this 'evil' borg-thing look going on with all the white -- white hair, super white skin, white-ish outfit....will be fun to watch her fight it out with Gaby.
Kris
Dayum....what kind of nun is that???? I think Gabby may have met her match with that one.

Oh and by the way...that nun is totally NOT hot.

Can't say I feel sorry for George...Bree finally realized what a sick, sick man George was.

Lynnette's little scheme against Nina really backfired against a lot of people and probably herself.

Susan is still an idiot. Trying to force a relationship with a man who was merely a sperm donor...not a great idea.
KatrinaD
If I'm not mistaken, the nun was on Nip/Tuck a couple of episodes ago, as a Kimber wannabe. She wasn't any hotter there. :-)

On topic: Great episode. Bree with a gun? Brilliant! George plotting his suicide to manipulate Bree? Brilliant! Bree going up to his room after hearing that George had killed Rex? Not so brilliant.

Can't wait to see next week - Andrew's back! Yay!
LaPetiteSinge

Can't wait to see next week - Andrew's back! Yay!
And so is Justin! Not just yay, but HoYay! (Maybe.)

Never mess with a woman with pearls and a gun.
Benedictine
I was right!

Two weeks ago, I was the first one to call Dr. Goldfine as NOT being dead! Yes, I rule! (doing the "Look at Me, I am so Right" dance around the room while pointing at myself).

Okay, getting back to tonight's episode.

Loved Sister Mary Bernard! She rocks my Catholic world. Be afraid, Gabby, be very afraid --- she has God on her side!

Lynette, what have you done? In the pursuit of getting Bossy McBoobs, you got others fired, too, AND you inherited a boss who will be more challenging than the twins. Good luck.

Bree, --- I am going to need some time to absorb that.

Susan, let it go.

Overall, one of the better episodes.

Pax Vobiscum! (Peace To You -plural- in Latin, in keeping with the theme of Carlos' Born Again Experience with his Catholic roots).
Kris

I totally agree. That was a foolish and potentially dangerous move.

She should have just told that Detective that he was in room 619 and let them handle the situation.
Losky2

Only problem with the Bree thing is that her fingerprints will be on the door handle. But I'm sure she can come up with some excuse - she'll be fine. I'm so on her side - that dude is CRAZY. "She loves me...she loves me not..." Holy shit. And she looked amazing in that Marilyn Monroe dress.
Nahhh, not a court in the world would convict her... the detective has proof that she knew what George did before she went into his hotel room. She's not responsible for his death at all... he's the idiot that tried to play to her sympathy by taking those pills.

I'll miss Roger Bart but I'm ssoooo glad George is outta here - and Bree now knows that Rex had reason to suspect a problem - she won't be pissed at him anymore and will hopefully grieve honestly now.
Yesmar
That episode rocked. Gabi Vs. The "Hot" Nun looks like it's gonna be hilarious.

Yay! Andrew!
rachna78
YAY Dr. Goldfine! I love that man.

Having worked in Domestic Violence Shelters I can tell you it is actually a very common thing for people to do. I had a client whose husband ran in front of a car, one who shot himself, and so on.

But to the episode....

I thought the whole Bree/George thing was a MAJOR let down. I am glad that she finally found out he killed Rex and cried in the elevator. I would have liked to have seen that last a bit longer. But I would have liked some kind of struggle in the end.

I do like how he was trying to manipulate and she did not let it work. But its over now? I also wish that she had talked to the other housewives about his stalking.

I just feel they let George die too soon. Kind of like Rex. The whole storyline just seemed to have been tied up way too neatly for me.

I dont think that Bree will be arrested for this or charges placed against her, although that concerned me. She can show the note, and can always say she freaked on the elevator (I am sure they have cameras) and could claim he was dead when she got up there.

I am not even going to comment on Lynette and Susan. No point really.

But I love Gaby. I really do. The whole nun thing is pretty crazy. I thought she was fabulous in this episode.
Annamary
I'm loving the Gabby/Carlos/nun plot--should be funny!

I almost stood up and cheered when Dr. Goldfine showed up alive.

Bree rocks, but I hope George gets a more dramatic comeuppance.

Susan plot--meh.

Lynette--maybe she'll hire Mr. MomTom and establish a childcare center?
Darn
Sister Mary Hotpants: Money can't buy happiness.
Gabby: Sure it can. That's just a lie we tell poor people to keep them from rioting.

Hilarious. Loved Carlos' whole Born Again thing. Hey, it happens. And Gabby's reactions to it were keeping me in stitches.

I thought the scene with Susan and her father in the hospital was well written and really well acted. I actually felt something for Susan. It's been a while.

Lynette's whole story cracked me up. Now she's stuck with stupid, child-like boss Ed. And Nina's gone! Thank God.

I wish Bree had been more vindictive in her last exchange with George, she was so compassionate. And they left us with the thought that Bree wanted Rex to die. I've always been under the impression that she didn't, it seems to go against what we know of her, this is much more than a mental breakdown, it's subconscious willfulness.
Kris

I meant that it was foolish and dangerous for Bree to confront George in his hotel room alone after having learned that he killed her husband.

But I know you're right that abusers/stalkers/batterers often take the cowards way out and try to kill themselves when backed into a corner.
kariyaki

Okay, the nun certainly wasn't hot, but she was cool as shit!!! I think that's going to be a fun storyline.
I thought the nun was odd-looking but she was so fucking badass, I actually found her attractive. LOVED HER. Bring it on, indeed.
HypocrisyRules

Lynnette's little scheme against Nina really backfired against a lot of people and probably herself.
Her plots always backfire on her. Only this time she's finally going to taste a little of the fall-out herself. I was laughing over that one. She's escaped the fall out for too long. Nice she gets to taste a little of her own medicine.
Eegah
Edie telling Susan how idiotic her plan was made my whole night.
mizplacement
I hate this stupid show and have no idea why I keep watching it. Tonight, I got a half of a reason. I'm going to actually enjoy Gabby vs. The Nun From Heck. Oh, I love it, love it, love it! And yeah, she was so NOT hot. Will there be a fight ala Dynasty (Krystal vs. Alexis)? Oh would that rock?

Bree! You're back! Finally! And looking fab-u-lous.
kelkon
For me, episode=meh.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I really did feel bad for Susan. It seems like every time I catch a chance to watch, Susan's getting dicked over by a guy. Daddy didn't have to be that harsh. Sheesh. He's lucky Susan is his daughter instead of Bree.

George? Creepy. Had to go. Glad to see Dr. Goldfine survived.

Wha fa? Where's Alfre Woodard?
ThatBadgerChick
I can't wait until Sister Leroy Brown kicks Gabi's scrawny ass.

Baddest nun in the whole damn town.
Kris

Edie telling Susan how idiotic her plan was made my whole night.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I usually hate the snotty and catty barbs that Edie dishes out. But this one was right on target and so true.

Oh I see I read your post wrong I am sorry! You are right, he could have been lying and attacked her or something. BUt I guess the Bellboy knew she was up there. Personally I would not minded a fight though, with Bree of course not getting hurt but wacking George over the head with some long blunt object.
Annamary

I didn't think that the nun was obviously hot in a conventional way--but the whole point of a "hot" nun is that she is going to be sort of buttoned-down and wholesome and conservative-looking, I think. If her hotness were more upfront and obvious she would be...Gaby. And not a hot nun.

I wonder if this subplot is ill-conceived because Gaby seems SO shallow and selfish and callous compared to the nun. Their conflict seems like it will be entertaining--but it seems like Gaby, who only recently by ending and repenting for her dalliance with the underderage gardener has become at all bearable, is going to now look even worse by comparison.

Sister Leroy Brown
Heh. Badder than old King Kong...
nappyroots100

Its official, I HATE! Lynette. Injuring innocent animals-pass, injuring innocent bystanders-pass, her antics costing people their jobs and the company millions-thats it, HATE!
Sorry, that was not Lynette's fault. Bitchy boss had only one request made of her and that was that she be nice. Instead she amps up the bitchyness and fires her love slave...That was all her fault. Further Lynette's coworkers were a bunch of spineless idiots who hung Lynette out to dry. I don't feel that sorry for them.

Oh yeah, and given how manipulative Lynette is how long do we really think her boss is going to be the boss?
kakistos
I was expecting more from the Bree/George conforntation too. Up until we saw him calling for help after he woke up, I kept thinking he was trying to trick Bree into coming up there to threaten her or plead with her or something. Even when he started taking those pills, I thought they were fakes so Bree would think he took something.

I also didn't like that they wrapped up the whole Rex murder so quickly and easily... empty bottles and diary entries? No implicating Bree in the murder? Anything? I'm assuming we'll get some emotional significance in later episodes, but I really want something more to come out of it plotwise.
AD35
Glad to see that creepy George is finally out of the picture and that Bree knows he was the one responsible for Rex's death. I really liked seeing Bree using her gun at the start of the ep. And I'm really looking forward to seeing Gabby go against "Sister Mary Hot Pants" (love that nickname). Other than helping Carlos get out early, I wonder what sort of hold she has over him so I don't blame Gabby for being suspicious about her and her motives. Lynette's storyline was kind of eh. And I hope Susan's story will actually allow her to behave like an adult, rather than a younger version of her ditzy mother.
KBear
Susan isn't that annoying when she isn't mooning over Mike. Loved Edie telling Susan her plan was stupid. Finally George is gone, our long national nightmare is over. I still wanted to see Bree gun him down though. Lynette has finally outsmarted herself, in trying to get even with Boobs she brings down the whole office and maybe has given herself a worse boss than Boobs, good work Lynette. The best storyline was Gaby and the "hot" nun. The wife from hell vs. the nun from hell, this should be fun. DH is finally back.
neciamorris

Sorry, that was not Lynette's fault.
I kinda agree. I usually loathe Lynette, but what Nina did was wrong. Lynette simply advised Boy Toy of his rights. She's kinda like a whistle blower. In those instances, a lot of people do lose their jobs. The difference is Lynette wasn't trying to do the right thing for the right reason. She was doing the right thing for fucked up reasons. Typical Lynette.

I also wanted to see more of a confrontation between George and Bree. I would have preferred it if she had told him that she was going to just let him die. He, IMHO, deserved to suffer more. Like Rex did, lying in that bed thinking that Bree had poisoned him.
ClosingTime
Yay! Another shout out to Chicago! Bring it on, Gabby!

Lynette really talked a good game she can't back up this time, didn't she? At least we can finally see some justice, though. Maybe she'll think twice before she acts.

Bree! Oh, how I've missed you! I was shocked as hell to see Dr. Goldfine after that nasty fall.

Susan still seems so silly to me, it's not even funny. When she came running back with that cowboy hat on her head, I gave her the same look as Julie. Ugh.
nappyroots100

How do we know she can't back it up? She seems to be quite good at her job so far. She might be even better without all that dead weight.
Annamary
And Lynette supposedly rocked in her old job before she left to raise her kids, so she might do really well.
Bookrat

This can't be it, can it? What a major letdown. If Goldfine can come back, can't George. The police find him in his room and he gets his stomach pumped. He tells the police that Bree and he were in the plot to kill Rex and she forced him to take the pills or something. Because I want more. Maybe George's mom will start stalking Bree. I guess the only good thing is that Andrew will find out that the man his mother had over for dinner, killed his dad.
Sunidesus

This can't be it, can it? What a major letdown. If Goldfine can come back, can't George.
I agree, it seems way too easy. I'm thinking maybe the hotel operator really did call for an ambulance? It would make sense to me to call for an ambulance even if George changed his mind half-way though the phone call.
Annamary

This can't be it, can it? What a major letdown.
I'm hoping there will be some follow-up next week, but then again, they often just drop these things and sail on to a new storyline. According to the previews, darling Andrew is back to bring joy into his widowed mother's life, so maybe the plot will twist from there.

Or not.

Or maybe Rex really didn't die and he's been living in the basement with Caleb and he'll have a happy reunion with Bree and together they'll shoot George and invite Dr. Goldfine to come live with them.

Or not.
