If this is alright by Jacob, I created this particular thread for all of us to come clean about our "in the minority" opinions regarding all things Apprentice. It's kind of like attending a confessional without all the guilt. I will start off:

What are my unpopular opinions?

- I actually liked Omarosa. Despite all the bickering, she handled her business when it came down to it. I also found her to be quite comical. She should have made it to final interviews only to be cut there.

- Jennifer M. should have won season two. Trump should have wiped that smugness off of Kelly's face by hiring Jen.

- Sometimes, I find Carolyn to be a bit condescending and bitchy. It seems like she just has moments where she feels the need for attention.

- Season three was the most entertaining season of all as well as my favorite. I loved all the crazy and kooky. Lots of those people were riots. Of all the castmembers to ever be on The Apprentice, I find myself remembering the season three cast the easiest.

- Angie was my favorite Apprentice candidate ever. When she turned on the potty mouth, she was hilarious. I also think that she had been shafted when she was fired.

- I agreed with Tana when she said that Bren was basically worthless. I also thought that Tana should have won season three. I feel like she was definitely sabotaged on that final mission.

- Alex should have been fired first on the third season.

- I am actually on Markus's side 100% when it comes to editing sabotaging candidates.

- Despite having the bad attitude, I thought that Clay actually had more potential than Alla.

- I sometimes feel that when Bill is subbing for George in the boardroom, he holds personal vendettas against some candidates. For example, I think that he really personally disliked Jennifer Murphy and was gunning for her throat in the boardroom.

- Erin and Michael from season three had absolutely NO BUSINESS WHATSOEVER even applying for the Apprentice. They were the absolute worst of the lot. I was not at all impressed with them in the slightest in Kendra's final task either.

- Verna was not all that crazy. In fact, I don't think she was crazy at all and I have no problem at all with her quitting. I believe she quit due to keeping herself from punching Michael and Erin.

- I actually liked the final three in season three and felt they all deserved to be there based on their own merits. I still like Craig, Tana, and Kendra equally.

Those are just a few of my unpopular opinions to get us started. I am interested in hearing more deep secreted opinions from others here.

-- I don't hate Ivana. I came into the second season after a few episodes had passed and remember agreeing with a lot of her interviews.

-- I like Kelly, and not in a just 'Anyone but Jen. M.' kind of way. I thought he was a good leader, extremely competent, and the most deserving of the win.

-- Having only seen the last few episodes of the first season, I don't understand why Kwame is so revered. He seemed like a nice enough guy, but he lost a lot. So if he could lose and make the final two, why can't Rebecca?

-- I never liked Tana, and when her edit started to turn, I laughed and laughed. And gloated.

-- I liked Josh.

-- I wasn't sad to see Chris go before Markus. No, you cannot always go through life by giving swirlies to the little guy.

-- Trump's sex talk didn't freak me out. I actually found it kind of amusing.
CheekyCricket
--I liked Josh too. I didn't think he was going to win, but I enjoyed his commentary.

--I don't have any problem with the Bloven, or whatever you wanted to call them. I think they've gotten an unfair rap, especially Alla and Felisha, all to the benefit of Rebecca, who is overrated, given her meager accomplishments on the tasks.

--On that note, and with apologies to Jacob, I don't see what is so great or impressive about Rebecca. I have tried to view her as intense or powerful or impressively crazy or whatever, but I just don't see it. She seems like an intelligent, well-educated, strong-willed but smug middle-class girl to me. That's about all.

--I liked Raj and think he was a better candidate than he'd been given credit for. He and Andy were my favorite candidates of Season Two.

--I didn't like Pamela, and I thought she should have been fired.

--I don't agree with the "Apprentice was much better the first season" nostalgia, and I don't think the show has gotten worse since then. A few good candidates during the first season have overshadowed mediocre or worse candidates such as Jessi, Heidi, Tammy, that season's young dark-haired guy whose name I've forgotten . . .
highlander
I always liked Heidi from S1. Her using the F-bomb never bothered me. She was being herself and real.

I hated Omarosa and thought she got a better edit than she deserved if that is at all possible. I wanted Omaroso fired sooner.

Glad Ivana of S2 wasn't fired sooner otherwise I wouldn't have had the pleasure of her glorious moment in the M & M task.

I hated Jenn M of S2 and was happy Kelly won. He deserved it and Jenn M. was one of the least creative people of all the seasons as well as one of the nastiest. Her one exception was her defending Stacie J. but I saw that as Jenn M's move to get rid of Elizabeth.

I loved watching Andy of S2 and was hoping for a Kelly vs. Andy final.

I liked Josh.

I didn't like Bill of S1 ever since he whispered to Amy referring to Troy and Kwame "dumb and dumber." No one puts Troy in a corner.
seltzer4
I didn't think Tammy was all that bad. Yeah she was a bit loony, but she did made some contributions. Episode 2 she was the one who came up with the phallic symbol. I felt that it wasn't that she was loony, but she was just a bit socially awkward....and it was basically a really crappy way for (ereka and katrina) to pounce on that, by not being upfront with her. I mean, who knows? maybe Tammy would have been more aware had Amy, or someone else told her to watch what she says. If people can go to Omarosa head to head...then they definitely can be upfront with Tammy.

Come to think of it the first 2 women fired from the first season were actually pretty strong. Kristi and Jessie were pretty strong contributors.

I didn't think Chris from season 2 should have been fired. I think it should have been a mass firing...or a double firing for that. It definitely wasn't only Chris' fault that they lost.

I actually liked season 3. Yes there were a lot of incompetent people. But there were some pretty competent people (Kendra/Bren/Alex/Angie/Tara/Erin/John/Craig) I felt there was definitely more honesty compared to other seasons. People were willing to step up, unlike season 2 where people totally set up for the pm to fall.
MCalamari
S2:
Kelly - was the right choice to win. He's boring and stiff, but he was a good leader, worker, and at times, thinker (Pepsi Edge bottle).

Ivana - Bad leader, but she was a very good worker. I think editting made her look a bit more aloof than she was (she probably had let her guard down to the camera whenever she's wearing her glasses).

S3:
As a whole, hated the season. Too many people had too little credibility that Trump would simply NEVER hire. Some good moments here and there, but Kendra's "sell to businesses" tactic was simply too easy.

S4:
Mark - Good background and personality, was part of the winning team most of the time, put on a much more embarassing costume than the women's team for DQ, and did HIS job (and it seemed like it went well) at his last task. Little "i" never bothered me, the pictures were the worst part. Sad to see him go as an attempt for Trump/Burnett to add shock value to the show.

Clay - Yes, he seemed like an ass, but bottom line, he was a winner (2-0). If bosses fire every money-making employee that annoys them, then those companies will never succeed. Just as Trump said in one task, money (results) is everything.
SkippyUpwood
Agree strongly with Tammy being pretty good (though she was extremely undiplomatic at best and very disloyal at worst). Also agree with Kelly being underrated (though still not as good as Bradford). Verna was unfairly castigated (I probably would have done something stupid had I worked for 48 hours straight).

Don't agree with anyone who says S3 was good (for me it had as much relevance to business (and S1) as professional wrestling has to Boxing).

Some unpopular opinions:

1. Katrina should have won S1 for her business skills. The fact that she rather than Amy was fired for the Casino debacle was the worst decision of the series and the only decision I can't understand (though my best guess is that Trump had a crush on Amy - though she's pretty plain IMHO).

2. Kendra was overrated. She was whiny, flew under the rader and was overemotional. In short she behaved (and to be frank looked) like a petulant teenager. Whenever I saw her on the TV screen the phrase 'don't sell something that's already sold flitted through my mind' (not because she was a good salesperson - more because she remined me of Fitz).

3. Bradford should have won S2 and his behaviour vis a vis Apex was brilliant (except his sex sells pep talk). Right from the start the team didn't want him and were looking to sabotage him - eg the stupid ideas for the toys - his decision to ignore them and only change tack when it was obvious his idea was flawed was correct. Conversly Pamela was overrated - she was a poor leader of Moasic and let the stupid crustacaen idea go through (though she shouldn't have been fired when she was or patronised by Trump).

4. The show should focus mainly on business skills rather than personalities and start casting credible businesspeople who have personalities rather than personalities who once slept in a P&G dumpster (to paraphrae dilbert). Being a fashion photographer (Jen C), heathcare clerk (Jessie), beauty queen (most of the contestants) does not qualify you to be a CEO (even of Trump's organisation).

5. The S1 tasks were the best out of all the series. Selling Trump Ice to restaurants, or getting people into Planted Hollywood, or even selling stuff at a flea market is a damm sight harder than dressing up as Star Wars characters.
Calreusop
I have had a major thing for Elizabeth ever since Ep1 of S2.

I have loved Rebecca, as well, although in a more minor way.

At the beginning of S2, I actually liked Ivana and thought she was funny. If she'd have been fired in Ep2 when she probably should have been, I'd have remembered her like that. Conversely, I hated Pamela at the start of the season, but was completely on her side by Ep5.

Kendra was highly overrated, but mainly I just found her boring. I wanted to shoot Erin the minute I first saw her.
Probably the most unpopular opinion of all: Randal is a bit overrated, as well.
gastrolyor

Probably the most unpopular opinion of all: Randal is a bit overrated, as well.
God, no. Randal does nothing for me. He's a nice enough guy, but he doesn't strike me as God. He's very smart, it appears, with all his degrees, but he's not creative and doesn't seem to have done anything particularly wonderful yet. Meh.

1. Katrina should have won S1 for her business skills. The fact that she rather than Amy was fired for the Casino debacle was the worst decision of the series and the only decision I can't understand (though my best guess is that Trump had a crush on Amy - though she's pretty plain IMHO).
I don't think she should have won the first season, however, I do think she did deserve a shot at the interviews to prove herself. She might very well had if she didn't screw up the Taj Mahal task (and remember, had they won that task, we might have had a different winner of the first Apprentice since Katrina would not have been "fired" then and either Troy, Bill or Kwame would have been "fired" then with another of those three "fired" the following week assuming Nick, Amy and Katrina won the leasing task as Nick and Amy did).
thuganomics85

--I liked Raj and think he was a better candidate than he'd been given credit for. He and Andy were my favorite candidates of Season Two.
I agree. I hated when he got fired. Yes, he screwed up the house task, but he clearly (IMO) had a lot more to offer then someone like Ivana.

I also agree with the unpopular Tammy opinions. She was sort of a ditz, but she seemed nice. And I hated how she got fired for being "disloyal." Just because she claimed her team was duped. And they were duped. I hated how Katrina and Ereka jumped on her for that, and I even lost some respect for Bill when he joined the railroading.

I notice that this is an unpopular opinion now, but I still hate Katrina. Only thing she seemed to do good was using her looks to win. For someone who was suppose to be great a real estate, it's kind of sad that she lost a task that was made for her, to Troy. Someone who was in "the top 3%" got beaten by a country boy from Idaho. Nice.

I always liked Kevin. Telling Elizabeth to shut up was wrong, but it didn't make him a bully. If I was in his place, I would have been annoyed too. It was a bad moment, but it wasn't like he was an abusive husband on a Lifetime movie.
ghettofabman
Guys, this is so fun. I got some for the current season as well:

- Chris Valletta deserved his firing. Actually, I think that Trump should have had a double firing at that point....Chris and Mark, not Markus.

- Speaking of the two Marks, Genie with a Boner Mark was utterly worthless in my opinion. I saw absolutely nothing special about him. Of all the people involved in the Boardroom Massacre, I felt he deserved it the most. He employed a fly-under-the-radar strategy as far as the interview process and PMing is concerned.

- I believe that James thought that he would give himself the Kendra edit in order to get ahead by also flying under the radar. I think he had much more potential than Josh and Mark, but less than Clay.

- Toral was totally pigeonholed. She was sabotaged. I am sorry, but I agreed with most everything she said with exception to her lying in the boardroom. I thought that she was absolutely right about Kristi, Felisha, Jenthura, and Jennifer Wilbanks. They were completely worthless as well. I also didn't think she was all that elitist and condescending. Sorry, I didn't see it to that much of a degree. (I know that is as UNPOPULAR as it gets. Please don't hate me for this, Jacob.)

- I also like Rebecca. True, she may be a bit worthless as far as performance is concerned, but there is something about her that commands respect and attention...a quality I find quite admirable.

- Jennifer Wilbanks, I think, stood in the WRONG damn line when she applied for The Apprentice. I think she meant to stand in Martha's line because she had NO BUSINESS being on The Donald's show at all. In fact, I don't even think that she would be cut for Martha's show.

- I actually started out liking Kristi in the first episode, then I agreed with the majority concerning her portrayal in later episodes.

- Melissa was not all that bad. I actually thought that she was a contender and I kind of agreed with her on the Bally's task. She didn't deserve to go first. Kristi should have taken that honor.

- Markus should have been in the final five instead of Adam. Markus had much more potential than Adam the Choir Boy in my opinion.

- This season's cast is the least memorable cast ever.
tjmor
- I liked the crazy chewing Chris:S3. I percieved him as honest, hard working, trusting and somewhat naive. I think he is a talented businessman.
- I completely despised Alex:S3. To me, he was all wrong, fake, and lazy. He was responsible for staff training on the first task, and, of course, didn't do much. He should've been fired.
- Audrey:S3 was very unattractive. And useless.
- I agreed with Tana in her assessment of Bren:S3 - I too think he was completely useless.
- Tana made herself a laughingstock of The Apprentice.
- Erin, Stephanie, Angie, Michael, John, Audrey and Brian - I still don't know what their role on that show was.
- Hated Craig. I perceived his chauvenistic attacks on Kendra as stupid, ungentelmanly and coward (only a coward can bully a woman). I think Craig was truly stupid.
- The toy box he put together on the Home Depot task was useless. They won because of the presentation, not the product.
- I think Kendra was the strongest Apprentice of the first three seasons. Loved her marketing lessons.
- I was rooting for Jen M:S2. Didn't like Kelly at all.
- I think season 4 is the best so far - all because of Alla.
- Agree that Randal is overrated. I am disappointed in him.
- Here is the most unpopular opinion: I enjoy watching Adam. He is truly a good, unspoiled and intelligent kid.
- Clay has a personality disorder. He needs a therapist.
- Carolyn is a bitch.
- If Verna ever writes a book about The Apprentice, I will not buy or read it. She does not deserve to profit from that experience.
Tegan Jovanka
I enjoyed every scene with Tammy, and I didn't think she was "disloyal". Katrina was a whiny little brat and Tammy called her on it. They were looking for a reason to fire Tammy. Tammy was never going to win, but I liked her. She was spacey, but never mean or nasty or backbiting.

I would have an easier time working with Clay, who is competent if you handle him correctly, than with Adam or Alla. Adam has to be told what to do, he's needy, and he was a really bad PM. Any skills Alla has are mitigated by her diva routine. I remember in episode 2 when she was talking down to the crew while she was making a video, one of them rolled his eyes at her need to say these things over and over, in such a condescending way.

I wish Marshawn had been given another chance.

Season 3 Chris was, after a while, one of my favorites of any season. He was also kind of handsome.

I don't think Kwame deserved to be in the final 2, and I would have fired him over Troy.

What ghettofabman said above - the season 4 cast is not memorable. I'd go further - they're terrible. This was the worst final 6 of any of the seasons. I never thought Bren, Craig and Alex would seem talented, but they do after this season.

I think that season 4 Brian was the best looking man ever on the show. I don't care how tall he is, he was very, very handsome.

I think that Ivana, as much as I disliked her, was one of the best looking women ever on the show.

I liked Raj.

I wanted season 2 John to stay only long enough for us to see him with as few clothes on as possible.

Looking back, season 2 Chris wasn't that bad.

I think Sandy should've won season 2.
ghettofabman
More fun confessions!

- I still hate season 2's Chris Russo to this day. I thought that he was an ass in the boardroom where he dissed Raj and his entire team. I was more than happy to see him fired the next week.

- Alla is way overrated. I agree with Clay's assessment of her for the most part.

- I liked Toral for the most part. I think that she is more qualified for the Apprentice than Alla.

- I also think that Felisha was indirectly responsible for Alla's positive edits on tasks.

- I agree with whoever said they hated Alex. I still hate him as well. In fact, I knew that he was completely useless when I first saw him. How the hell did Trump consider even calling him a star?? He barely fucking twinkled!

- However, of all the people who have participated on the Apprentice, I hate season three's Michael Tarshi the most. He was just a balding ass amorphous blob who wasted space along with oxygen and sat back while others did his work. He still had no business ever seeing the light of day on the show, period. In fact, I hope that Michael is reading this. I want him to.

- Stephanie Myers was kinda shafted as well. I think Alex was the reason she was fired, not Chris's temper tantrum.

- Speaking of which, I still love Danny's song "Pizza Girl" written about Stephanie. Man, that was a hit in the making.

Can I get a pizza, girl
Stephanie my pizza girl...
ETA: I would love to hear a recapper/moderator's personal unpopular opinions. I wonder if Jacob or Miss Alli have any to share.
SkippyUpwood
Probably the most unpopular opinion of all...

The O'Jays song was rubbish, depressing and totally innapropriate for a show extolling leadership and wealth creation. Either of the S1 DVD songs (esp the one that played over the opening credits - had a chorus of 'Next big thing') would have been better.
johnnywang57
I loved Ivana to a shameless degree. As I did Erin.

But I have to say, of every season I've seen, S4 is my favorite so far. I've never been this much "OMG OMG OMG IT'S THURSDAY" with any of the others.
cudareef
- I liked David and I was disappointed he was fired on the first episode, I thought Jason or Bowie should have went in the first episode even though they didn't do anything or that much to deserve to be fired that episode. I thought David would be a good bad guy to watch on the show.

- I liked Sam.

- I thought Kwame was rude to Sam during season 1.

- I liked watching Omarosa.

- I thought Bill was a know it all.

- I thought Stacie J deserved to be fired.

- I liked Jen C.

- I liked Stacy R.

- I disliked Elizabeth.

- I disliked Wes.

- I liked Maria.

- I liked Ivana.

- I thought Chris Russo was fun to watch because I thought he seemed like a New York taxi driver living perhaps the American dream being on the Apprentice.

- I didn't like Andy.

- I didn't like Kevin.

- I thought Jennifer M should have won on season 2.

- I liked Brian on season 3.

- I liked Danny.

- I liked Kristin.

- I liked Michael.

- I didn't like Tara.

- I liked Audrey.

- I liked John in the later episodes.

- I liked Chris.

- I liked Alex.

- I liked Craig.

- I liked Tana in the later episodes.

- I disliked Kendra.

- I liked Melissa.

- I liked Markus.

- I liked Clay.
GoddessMelissa
S1: Troy's "dumb hick" act bugged, but what bugged more is him really thinking that no one saw it as an act. Really felt he came with a copy of "Act Like a Hick for Dummies."

Bill is a bitch, never remember him doing anything accept complaining about other people.

S3: Can't remember them to save my life.

Carolyn is not attractive in the least. If she was so damn brilliant, she would've gotten rid of that tired ass hair color.
wishiwasahunter

I think that season 4 Brian was the best looking man ever on the show. I don't care how tall he is, he was very, very handsome.
Oh man, agreed. Come back Rubble Man!

I loved Season Two, and think they had the best final four of all four seasons, but I would have preferred the final matchup to be Kelly versus either Kevin or Sandy. Is it unpopular to love Sandy? Because I really do.

I also grew to like Kelly a whole lot. I did think he was pompous in the way he dealt with Andy, but overall he was very competant and made me laugh.

I never thought Bren was homophobic or condescending towards women. In fact, I think he was better than Alex, Tana or Craig, even though it wouldn't seem right for him to have made it to the final two. Thinking back on Season Three, I actually can't think of any contestant who probably could have gone up against Kendra in the final task.
lauriecake
S1:
I liked Heidi. I never thought she was a real contender and wasn't surprised when she was fired, but I did like her scenes.

I never liked Amy. I don't know why, but I never could warm up to her and thought she was overrated.

S2:

I liked Kelly. Even though I think he's not the strongest winner, I thought his win was well-deserved.

S3:

I loved Season 3. After the disaster that was Season 2, it was so refreshing to see people who worked to win the task, not to lose to drag people into the boardroom. At one point or another, every contestant appeared to be competent in one way or another, and most of them didn't seem to be in it for the fame either. I was very happy with this season.
alzwife
S1
I liked Troy. I liked Kristi.
I did not like Bill, Nick, or Amy.

S2
I liked Wes, Andy, and Elizabeth.
I figured Kelly would win, but thought he was a gerk.
I did not like Jennifer M. or Jennifer C.

S2 was my favorite season.

S3
Liked Bren and Kendra.
Totally disliked Tana and Craig.
S3 was a horrible season

S4
Liked James, Mark, Josh, Rebecca, and Alla.
Dislike Toral, Markus, and Clay.
SkippyUpwood
(sorry if this should go on the other season's thread).

Some unpopular opnions regarding TA1:UK

I think Saira should have been fired before the final (either for her rudeness and general incompetance during the Spurs task or for the fact that she lost the Art task).

I think the interviewers, especially the headhunter, were brutal but nonetheless essentially correct.

I think Tim should have been fired rather than Miriam for messing up the QVC task (though I'd like to have seen a Tim v Miriam final)

Raj should have been fired for his disloyalty on the advertising task.

Adenike should not have been fired for the flower task nor should Miranda have been fired for the scavenger hunt. Matthew shouldn't have been fired for the art task.

A couple more Unpopular Confessions (erm, Opinions):

- After last night's reairing of the clipshow, I am officially on the Toral Love train. It's off to Delusionalville I go! Wheeee!

- I definitely believe that Toral was set up by the rest of her team. She had the right attitude about the business and I think that she wasn't elitist in the least bit.

- I am still on Markus's side as well. I think that Markus was totally made a fool of and I don't believe that he gave editors that much leverage for him to be portrayed in that light.

This is TRULY as unpopular as it gets. I am definitely the single passenger on that one-way trip to Delusionalville. Time to get high there! Hoohah!
wishiwasahunter
ghettofabman, I don't entirely share your sympathies for Markus and Toral, but I can see where you are coming from. I think Markus most definitely has a persecution complex, but during other interviews he seems articulate enough that some of his oddities were most likely exaggerated for effect. Then again, there is that last cab ride..

But I do like Markus.

As for Toral, her delusion is kind of funny. I'm all for anything that makes me laugh, so I can't entirely dislike her.
Housewonder
- Amy should've won the first season. 11-1, pretty much responsible for all those wins...yet you follow the opinion of people who met her for 1 hour as opposed to that fantastic record? LAME.

- Kwame was one of the worst candidates on any season. He was responsible for about half of the losses he experienced. He had no drive, no motivation, and was unbelievably dull. (Randal is the anti-Kwame).

- Troy is by far the most overrated candidate ever.

- Jen M should've won the second season. Kelly was a robot with no drive, Jen M (though very abrasive) was bold and determined.

- Verna is not crazy, and if you see her website..she is very funny.

- Alex: Worst contestant ever.

- Felisha is MUCH stronger than she has been potrayed. Alla is a cold bitch, Felisha is funny and likeable.

- Rebecca, is an intense nutcase. LOVE HER!
thuganomics85

- After last night's reairing of the clipshow, I am officially on the Toral Love train. It's off to Delusionalville I go! Wheeee!
Heh. Can't say I love her, but I thought she was hilarious in the clipshow. I actual kind of understood why she felt that way about the rest of the women. Her reaction to the Felisha/Marshawn cryfest was pretty much my reaction as well. And her reaction shots to Melissa were also priceless.

I'm not saying I wanted her to win, but I kind of wished she lasted longer. She would have at least been an entertaining villian. Might have even rivaled Omarosa has the most delusional.
ghettofabman

Wanna know something else that's funny? I feel the same way about Tana and Craig. In fact, I absolutely LOVED them as the dynamic duo. They are still phenominal in my opinion. I can't help it.

-- I like Trump. I like him a lot. If he weren't running the show, I wouldn't be interested. Yeah, he's a bit of a whack-job, but I think he's a harmless one. More often than not, I think that he means well -- the sex talk was fucked up, but I don't think he meant to offend, and, actually, I don't think he was homophobic at all in dealing with Clay. Misguided and marble-mouthed, yeah, but it was funny: he seemed relatively free of prejudice, at least as I saw it. In other words, I think he's crazy, not stupid, and if I ever saw him, I'd probably tip my hat to him.

-- I think Toral had legitimate reasons to look down on the dynamic of the women's team, but I also think she was a fucking bitch and was happy to see her fired. Ah, Toral. See what happens when you won't be the morons' mascot?

-- I think Markus has the potential to be articulate. I believe him when he says his cab-ride interview was really forty-five minutes long and edited to make him look like a jackass. That doesn't excuse all of his behavior, but I'm willing to give him some benefit of the doubt.

-- I think Andy was somewhat overrated, and I say that as a huge fan of his.

-- I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why people love Wes so much. Yes, he's very attractive, but he lost twice as PM, deferred to Maria's incessantly (yoooge red flag), and I thought he was the one who hung up on someone during the ice cream task. So ... not all that competent, as far as I can see.

-- I liked season two. I watched some of season one, then jumped into season two partway through and became obsessed. I think season two's contestants were actually the most well-qualified, most well-rounded cast of all the seasons, but that the backstabbing and bitchy dynamics overpowered any chance of genuine teamwork. That would have been a good season for gender-mixed teams, I think; I expect it would have reduced some of the backbiting.

-- Season three was the most pleasant viewing experience, though it felt, frequently, like I was just watching regular people compete in the tasks. No one had enough experience to be an authority.

-- The quadruple firing was a let down. I felt half the firings were unjustified.

-- I kind of enjoyed, in a sadistic way, watching Jen get trampled at the finale.

-- I never liked Pamela and wasn't heartbroken when she was fired.

-- While I like Randal, I don't think he's going to bring a puppy back to life soon. Again, somewhat overrated, at least as far as he's been depicted on the show. I haven't seen anything extraordinary from him yet.
ghettofabman
Ooooh, I just love divulging my dirty little secrets!

I gotta second this. I love Mr. Trump as well. If I ever saw him in person, I will definitely turn into a sniveling and squeeing little schoolgirl!

I also agree here. In fact, I think that Markus was only frustrated because everyone else kept cutting him off all the time. I believe that he is definitely articulate and he interviews well.

-- Season three was the most pleasant viewing experience, though it felt, frequently, like I was just watching regular people compete in the tasks. No one had enough experience to be an authority.
Whaaaaaaaaal, Let the chuuhch say AMEN!

It was oh, so delicious. I loved it as well! This was the season that produced strong personalities (and Kendra) if anything. I was hooked and it was good.

One more confession:

- In season three, I was actually hoping that Kendra would have been fired at final interviews. I was all for a Craig/Tana Final Two showdown. It would have been such a RIOT!

ETA: Okay, okay, I just got one more. I don't get all what is so special about season 4 Brian's looks. In fact, I think that Brian looks like a baby velociraptor from the Jurassic Park movies.

Has Carolyn lost weight and 'had some work done'? It looks like she has some Khatie Couric leg thing going on there now.
Peg Amy

She would have at least been an entertaining villian. Might have even rivaled Omarosa has the most delusional.
Hee! I actually am envisioning Toral as the star of a Fawlty Towers-esque sitcom now, running one of Trump's hotels. I can just imagine her making scathing remarks about all the guests and coming up with grandiose schemes that never quite pay off. I think she was pretty funny in retrospect, even if I wouldn't want to work with her. She's sure as hell good TV.

I liked Kendra a lot, but I liked Tana and Craig too. I didn't agree with everything Tana and Craig said but I was impressed with their performance for most of the game. And my love for The Box knows no bounds. Also I never stopped liking John Gafford.

I liked the Kelly/Kevin/Ivana trio a lot too. I think Ivana deserved to be fired when she was, but I thought she was really funny. And pretty. She seems like she'd be fun to go have cocktails and gossip with. I genuinely liked Kelly and thought he was a great player and deserved to win. I never thought Kevin was overly aggressive and I was frankly kind of offended by the exec who said that he was. I never grew to like Andy and think his attempt to sandbag Sandy was really pretty gross.

Jen Massey is so polarizing that I'm not sure loving or hating her is unpopular. This is my unpopular opinion on her though: I don't think she played the game masterfully, I think she played it quite poorly. If she had just had more confidence in her skills and gone full out on tasks instead of concentrating on boardroom maneuvering, I think she would have won the whole thing.

I thought the "Cucumber Porn" commercial from season 3 was kinda funny. Miserably produced, but still kinda funny . . .

I hate almost all of the "street tasks." Selling lemonade, selling ice cream, harassing passerbys to call 800 numbers for yet another celebrity-branded perfume . . . not sure if that counts as an unpopular opinion, but there ya go . . .

On the other hand, the Star Wars promotional display and the XM Radio task have been two of my favorite tasks to date.
Debbie Joan

I think season two's contestants were actually the most well-qualified, most well-rounded cast of all the seasons, but that the backstabbing and bitchy dynamics overpowered any chance of genuine teamwork. That would have been a good season for gender-mixed teams, I think; I expect it would have reduced some of the backbiting.
I agree!
S1 I loved Troy but also thought Jason was kinda cute.
S2 Wes is hot. Leader, (in real life, yes) not on the Apprentice, but nice eye candy.
S3 Bren is sweet, dirty minded, but sweet.
S4 James is hot, I watched him at Dicks ,and he was sweet to look at.
Calreusop
I have had such a wide range of feelings about Pamela. I hated her at the end of episode 1 of S2, with her inappropriate comments and such. By the end of Ep2 and into Ep3, when she was fading into the background, I thought she was okay. Then, when she was fired under the horribly unfair circumstances under which she was fired, I became a Pamela convert and supported her 100%. She was brought over without being asked to lead for the second time when many others hadn't led once. She brought a team that had been losing pretty badly up to a loss by only about $15, or ONE call either way by a QVC viewer, and then is fired for this loss. Mindblowing.

LOL... Hee! Although, I do think he's cute... then again, I'm pretty damn short myself, so...

I liked Tana. I was rooting for her the whole time. Even if she made me cringe at the Finale.

Jennfer M. from S2 was ROBBED!

I was secretly really hoping for Nick and Amy's "romance" to pan out... =)

ETA: one more... I really, really liked Adam, in a crushy way, and was oddly attracted to Markus, even though he irritated me...
LilWharveyGal
Get out of my head, Debbie Joan! To me, S1 Jason and S4 James are the most physically attractive candidates ever. Wes was nice too, but I have a thing for the dark haired guys. However...IMO Bill is not good looking. *ducks*

I tend to prefer blonds, hence Troy, Wes, and even Bren. But once in a while a dark haired guy (Jason and James) is just so nice!

I'll fess up to being right there with you, as well as crushing on Andy from Season 2 and Bren from Season 3. Markus..eh, though I would have preferred him to any of the frats except perhaps James, who seemed sweet AND coherent.

Perhaps it's just that some of us have a taste for the embarrassingly awkward.

Your comments about Pamela are interesting, Calreusop, because I went through the same back-and-forth series of feelings about her. I also think her firing for the QVC episode was mighty close to a setup, since Trump had already decided that he wasn't going to hire her. However, I was disappointed that she bluntly refused to acknowledge that her price-point for the sponge-stain remover thingie may have been "off," since in stores, the product was priced noticeable lower, and that refusal gave Trump an excuse to fire her.

What else? Again, not sure if this qualifies as an unpopular opinion, but I loved it (in a totally mean-spirited way) when Trump made the candidates race for the helicopter in the first episode. Hilarious! As someone else remarked, "Run, little monkeys, run!" None of them were expecting that . . .

- I openly admit to rooting for Markus and Toral to make it to the final five and I am proud of it and of them for standing up for themselves. (I rooted for them when Toral started talking to him about when she hated cliques, fraternities and sororities and the like.)

- I still hate Mark and find him useless. Same for Joshitface.

- I think Adam should have waited a couple of years to apply for the Apprentice.

Same here. Even though it didn't and Amy not only married someone else and is now a mother, Nick and Amy obviously remained great friends who wound up doing a speaking tour together as I recall for much of 2004 after the first Apprentice finale.

I sort of still love Alla.

The funny thing is Trump used the fact that Pamela did not assess her new teammates abilities correctly and let them tell her what their strengths were as the excuse to fire her. Pamela told Trump this was her first time working with them and she had to go by what they told her what they can do and he fired her. That is why so many of us thought it was bullshit when he fired her. Of course, she shouldn't have insisted that the $10 difference did not mean they lost.
nodoze
I think Trump's real reason for firing both Pamela and Alla was because they were too aggressive and strong for his taste. They both exhibit raw "hunger" and I think Trump is turned off by that. But both women are extremely smart and capable, so Trump did not want to give them further opportunity to trounce the people he preferred to hire.

- Amy should've won the first season. 11-1, pretty much responsible for all those wins...yet you follow the opinion of people who met her for 1 hour as opposed to that fantastic record? LAME.
Was she? Pretty much responsible for all those wins? I don’t know about that (I honestly, truly don't remember).

One scene from S1 that sticks out in my mind is when both teams were literally playing hot potato with Amy by sending her back and forth week after week. I distinctly remember Trump’s saying to them, “Maybe I should just hire her right now.”

The biggest problem with Amy was that when it came to crunch time, she had no strategy for what to do in the boardroom (what with never having been there but once). That’s what killed her. Had she been able to put up a coherent argument as to why she should’ve been kept around over Nick, Bill, or Kwame, she probably would’ve had it nailed.

- I think Adam should have waited a couple of years to apply for the Apprentice.
Him and Andy both. While both were good contestants, there’s just no way that Trump is going to hire anyone as young as either of them. Unfair? You bet but that’s [sadly] the way it is.

I loved both Bren and Raj. Yes, both come across as sexist but these are two guys with whom I could work. And, no, I don’t have a thing for bowties! I'm actually in love with Bren's voice. I'm a sucker for a Southern drawl.

Bee-yotch or not, I am still holding a first class ticket on the Alla Love Train.

This seemed like the appropriate thread to bring this up, because it is most certainly an unpopular opinion. Going into the finale, it seemed pretty inevitable that Randal would be hired. However, when Trump asked Randal about hiring Rebecca, and he refused, I lost all respect for him. It's no skin off his teeth if Rebecca is hired also. He still receives his prize regardless, and Trump did hire him first. Just about anyone who I might have liked this season changed my opinion of them last night. Someone can say that it wouldn't have been a smart business decision to hire Rebecca, too, but no matter what Trump says, or Randal thinks, it's a game. It is a competition. I liken this to in the controversial Guatemala car decision, Cindy being offered the chance to give everyone else a car, but she gets to keep hers, too. Regardless of what decision she makes, she doesn't lose anything. Randal still gets the title of winner, but someone else gets a prize, as well. It sounds sort of like selfishness to me. I realize that hardly anyone else is of this opinion, which is why I posted it here, but I had to say something. It seems wrong that the two fired candidates I come out of the season with the most respect for are Toral and Chris. I don't know if I'll watch next season. The whole concept seems to have degenerated into basically a commercial. You may now feel free to flame me as much as you want.

To this day I think Kwame was robbed in S1.

JenM wasn't nearly as bad as she's made out to be, and deserved her slot in the final 2 on S2.

Love Kendra and think that she was every bit as competant as the S1 final four (Nick, Amy, Kwame, Bill).

Have the major hots for Raj (S2), Bren (S3), and The Donald.

Unpopular Season 3 Opinions:

- I admit that I was rooting for Tana during the season three finale, even though I equally liked Tana, Kendra, and Craig. In fact, I was hoping that somehow she would be able to fight for herself during that final boardroom and miraculously turn out a win. I also agreed with her assessment of Brian, Chris, and Kristen and still stand by my belief that she was sabotaged deliberately during the final mission.

- I actually thought that Kendra somehow was starting the whole feud between her and Craig. I actually believe something happened where she disrespected him first and he lashed out at her the whole way after that.
