Do you remember Ms. Aliceyn Cooney?
No?
Well, she was the girl who made the Wildcard round in Season 02, despite not being an initial semifinalist. We first saw her in an omnibus episode, where they showed her Nashville audition of "Angel".
And she sang the damn song in her wildcard performance. All we heard from her was "Angel", "Angel", "Angel". I hope that they banned that song because of her.
Of the four non-semifinalists who were invited to the wildcard, she was superior. Janine Falsone was a mess, Olivia Mojica sounded like the low-talking lady from Seinfeld, and Carmen Rasmusen was a debacle.
Discuss.

And she seemed to lack any personality, to boot. Just a pretty but boring girl with a pretty but boring voice singing a pretty but boring song.
She probably put herself in a pretty but boring coma just from listening to herself sing that song over and over and over and ov....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

Don't know why I'm bringing this thread back to life, but...
After now seeing Season 2 for the first time through Rewind (I know it's not the same, but...) I thought Aliceyn Cooney had one of the best voices out of all of the semifinalists that didn't make it. I don't know how she didn't originally make the cut but people like Patrick Fortson or Ashley Hartman did. The whole "Angel" thing was interesting, but I'm surprised she wasn't put through to the finals just so she could sing something different, because then she would have to. Plus she sang much, much better than Carmen and probably deserved to be in the final 12 (Along with others like Hadas, but I guess the talent that year was so good that not everybody who deserved it could make it to the finals.) Too bad she just wasn't memorable at all, I guess.
