More stories like that please, MC
Word! I really, really enjoyed this one! By that I mean, I don't necessarily agree with the character actions (Bree saying "okay?" and pregnant Gabby fasting for two days). But I did find more entertainment in them, all the same.
On the Bree side--after she was weak enough to have sex with George just to keep him (!) the getting-engaged didn't surprise me. AND her hesitations sent George on another murder spree, which is kinda fun when it's not Rex biting the dust.
I hope Dr. Goldfine is okay. I suspect not.
On the Gabby side--the comment about "You DO deserve Dolce & Gabanna" sold the whole fast-for-two-days part for me. That was priceless. AND it was nice of them to finally note that yes, she might be showing a little bit.
I hope Gabby's baby is okay. I suspect not.
As for Susan? Way to be grown up, Susan! I mean that seriously, btw. Oh sure, she slept with her ex-husband. But I could buy that; I've heard that ex-sex can be very hot (the comfort of a spouse, the freedom of a one-night stand), AND they were drunk, AND she's been hurting over Mike, AND she got to one-up Edie, even if she was grown-up enough not to throw it into Edie's face.
Okay, yes... "yet." But still. She was also grown-up enough to try to talk to Mike, and to walk away when he was all ass-hat about it. She was grown-up enough to tell Carl that this was a one-time thing, and that she didn't want to go backwards. As far as I'm concerned, Susan shone.
And I didn't hate Lynette. I didn't hate Lynette!!! It's a rare and beauteous thing.

Susan was actually tolerable tonight! I love it when she acts her age and not like a yelping 12 year old. I'm glad she's through with Mike. If he couldn't understand that she sent Zana away to protect her daughter from a pyro, stalker, almost!murderer, then he has another thing coming.
The fall down the stairs was a bit too soap for me. The writers probably wanted Gabby to lose her baby so they wouldn't have to worry about putting off her pregnancy weight gain anymore.
I want the old Bree back. She wouldn't have put up with any of this George crap.
Am I the only one who really doesn't care about the whole axe murderer plot?

As for George, I knew he was going to murder Dr. Goldfine. I guess he'll murder anyone who stands in the way of him and Bree. Maybe Andrew will be next.
No...I think Andrew is safe because of the bond of complete evilness the two share. I think Danielle might have a big ole target on her back. Maybe MamaRex will come back so George can kill her too.

Maybe I;m in the minority, but I think Karl and Susan are a much better couple than Mike and Susan. Mike's a jerk to totally not understand how a woman could be wary of a psychotic son. Karl still obviously carries some sort of torch for Susan, and I actually felt bad for Edie. She's being used.
I also felt bad for Gabby. I loved Bree at the end of the episode, taking care of Gabby. God give Marcia an Emmy PLEASE.
But ... god, Bree's a smart woman. Can she not see how CREEPY George is? This storyline stretches my credibility because how can such an intelligent woman not run for the hills with such a creep? And George offing Bree's therapist on the bridge? Wow. That man is more psycho than I thought.
Lynette and Gay-Matt's storyline was actually funny tonight.

I agree, great improvement tonight.
Though I'm still dissapointed with Bree for her letting George walk all over her, its fun to have a psycho villain. And Doctor Goldfine! noooooo! I love that man.
(when MAVO was talking about cameras at the end, I swore she was going to mention someone filming/taking a picture of George killing Dr. G. eh, maybe not.)
Lynette, Gabby and Susan's storylines were alot of fun too...Unfortunatley I think they're going to have Gabby lose the baby and then realize how much she wanted it..or something.
And agreed on Carl being awesome tonight. Hilarious lines to Julie, I'm glad he's sticking around...(I missed the last Edie/Susan scene, what did Edie say exactly?)
Overall, good episode.

I'm assuming that Gabby will lose her baby, because if she really is going to do a turnaround, it's going to have to be with Definitely Carlos, as opposed to Possibly Carlos. Maybe she'll be so devastated that her next storyline will be trying to get pregnant. Then of course, finding that Carlos has lazy swimmers, then of course the fight with Carlos over that....but by the time she gets pregnant through in vitro, George will have killed everyone that Caleb (now played by Sarah Chalke) has missed....

Way to go Geroge!! You give hope to losers everywhere. I hope Bree marries him and doesn't find out he killed Rex for 4 or 5 seasons!
Danielle smoking? Tsk. Poor Bree.
I really hope Gabby doesn't lose the baby, that's so cliched, forgot General Hospital try (insert name of any show) but that would be better than showing her at 8 months still not looking pregnant.

Definitely a first rate episode! I actually liked Susan tonight. She was mature, not making a huge deal over the morning after with Carl and not slapping Edie in the face with it (or spraying her with the hose). She was honest with Julie after getting caught and didnt try to weasel her way out of what happened. I even admired her restraint in NOT pounding on Mike's door again after he shut it in her face and NOT going home to whine and cry that it's not fair. She seems to actually realize Mike has a right to his feelings and that it IS over. Nicely done, writers!
CreepyGeorge gets creepier by the episode. He actually threw Bree's therapist off a bridge! I still cant get over it. I dearly hope the cops catch on to him soon....or at least Bree puts two and two together and realizes he's a freakin' psychopath!
The old married couple with the porno studio....comedy gold, people! I usually hate Scarvo scenes, but tonight, it was actually enjoyable.
I really really hope Gabby has not lost the baby. Although the fact that she had that little smile and wanted to shop for maternity clothes makes me think she probably did. Damn, writers, dont do that to me. Gabby being a mom could make for good TV.
Count me among those who enjoy Bree/Gabby scenes. I really like the way those two play off one another. I can see their friendship being the closest, even though Susan and Bree actually have the kids of the same age thing going on. Gabby and Bree just both strike me as having a certain "something" that the other wives dont have.
And speaking of Bree's kids....Danielle has certain grown up! I cannot believe she was actually SMOKING in her backyard. If Bree catches her at that, Danielle may be joining her brother at Camp!

And was the end bit there...oddly edited? Have they already begun to eliminate OldCaleb from the show? There seemed to be a concentrated effort to not show his face.
I thought it was just a way to make the scene look more creepy (worked for me) by hiding his face in the shadow. But you may have a point.

I also noticed how Caleb's face was blurry in the basement scenes. Maybe that was done deliberately considering that the actor is being replaced.

EvanyI just heard from a friend who works in The Industry that they've not only replaced Flash with a new actor, they're reshooting every scene he's appeared in up until now, so it would be as if...he never existed.
Bye old Caleb, never to be seen again, not even on repeats.

Okay, imo, easily the best of the season. I had several “gasp!” moments.
I said to my friend after Bree’s talk with George “uh, oh. Dr. Goldfine is going to get it!”
And now I can go back to fully hating Karl. This season I started liking him, but then I rewatched some episodes from last year, and couldn’t quite like him. But now that he “got Susan out of his system” I can hate him again. I thought Susan was going to douse Edie though with the hose.
Lynette’s storyline was boring and pointless, in my opinion. It was almost like last season where her scenes were my cue to fast forward if I was watching the episode on tape.

Still trying to figure out the episode title.
Color and Light is from Sondheim's
Sunday in the Park with George, it's all about creating art and the meter even imitates Seurat's pointillism. Good episode, but I don't see anything that relates it to the song or even the title of the song.
Oh my god! I screamed when George threw Dr. Goldfine over the cliff even though I knew it was coming. I can't wait till next week when somebody finally tells Bree that he's a wackjob.
Me too! I'm sorry to see Dr. Goldfine go, but he sort of deserves it for keeping Bree as a patient after all the shenanigans she pulled last year and for not getting her to talk about why she needs to be with a man so badly she'd settle for George.

Eeek.
Susan: I'm sorry, but she was an idiot for sleeping with Karl. I understand that they were both drunk and on the rebound, but did neither of them stop to think of their daughter? Susan lost Mike to protect Julie; then she goes and does something like this? Stupid.
Lynette: needs better storylines. Yawn.
Bree: What the hell happened? Old School Bree never would have caved under pressure and accepted George's proposal. I'm not buying that whole "Good manners" thing for a bit.
Gabby: Scared! If she loses the baby, I am going to be livid. Although I'd like to see how this whole storyline plays out with Basement Applewhite and all. Speaking of which:
Applewhites: Screwed up. (Although I think Matthew and Danielle would make a cute couple!)
George: Psycho! *screeches* Start blaring the Shostakovich!

I don't think that Lynnette and Tom were expecting THAT kind of response from the sex tape video making neighbors. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They did kind of ask for it by hanging out and drinking with the other couple in their house, though. Should have gotten out of there. Not a good situation.
George is eeeeeeeevil. Eeeeeeeeevil, I tell you! Can you believe throwing a surprise engagement party complete with relatives without telling your spouse-to-be? <Shudder.> Oh, also, it was wrong of him to kill that pychologist guy.

Oh, now I'm worried about Andrews long absence, I guess the angry farm would have called Bree if he were dead though, right?
when I saw her fall down the stairs, I was thinking it would kill her baby (cause, that's how Scarlet lost her baby in Gone With the Wind and apparently that is my only tv/movie miscarriage point of reference).
And a million soaps, and Taryn Manning's character in The Britney Movie...

The Britney Movie? Huh. Well, they all stole it from Gone with the Wind anyways, so I"ll stick with that.
And I didn't hate Lynette. I didn't hate Lynette!!! It's a rare and beauteous thing.
Hee. I didn't hate her this week either. And usually I loathe Lynette! Congrats, show.
I'm glad she's through with Mike. If he couldn't understand that she sent Zana away to protect her daughter from a pyro, stalker, almost!murderer, then he has another thing coming.
I'm glad too. Also, way to be a baby about everything, Mike, slamming the door in her face and giving back cards. I liked how she calmly told him that was an asshole move. Damn straight. She had a legitimate concern, she just went about it the wrong way.
Am I the only one who really doesn't care about the whole axe murderer plot?
No, I don't care for it either. I usually find myself yawning during those spots, the only reason I care tonight is because of Gabby. He was all kinds of scary in that scene but the fact that he came over for ice cream was funny and scary at the same time.
