My wish list for season 7:

No Lana.

No more soap opera sh!t.

Clark getting a JOB or going back to school.

Clark moving in with Chloe (or she could move in with him).

Chlark love scene (either real or dream, I'm not picky).

Clark/Lex conflict is back to being about ANYTHING but Lana.

Lionel is a double agent.

ENOUGH with the red/blue jacket- WE GET IT!

Clark back at the FOS with Jor-El.

If season 7 is the last one I want the last shot to be Clark wearing the Superman outfit and FLY….
PepSinger
My biggest wish for next season is that Chloe's "power" disappears faster than Lana's witchy tattoo and is never, ever spoken of again.
Totally. I want this plotline dropped so bad that I wouldn't mind them never mentioning it again.
hodl2003
My wishlist is pretty simple:
- Drop the romance entirely...ALL OF IT
- Clark, whether in a red jacket, spandex or pink tutus, I don't care. Just get back to Clark.
- Clex, Clex, Clex
- Bring back Jor-El; enough of Lion-El
blankslate
The season starts with Shelby barking, Clark still in the straight jacket, and the phantom gloating. If JR can appear in the shower and erase crap why oh why cant we get a reset on the last 6 months?
DarkPriestess
my wishlist:

The Haitian wipes everyones memories of Lana.

Clark stops wearing the red/blue combo. Remember back in S1 when he had other clothes? Lets give the boy a new wardrobe.

Lex in more casual clothes. As fine as he looks in business attire, he too used to have a varied wardrobe.

Dude, we are so on the same wavelength it's scary! A resounding "Yes, please!" to all of this.

Lex in more casual clothes. As fine as he looks in business attire, he too used to have a varied wardrobe.

Agreed. And Lex hasn't had a shower scene yet, an omission that needs to be rectified.

Amen. *nods*

My wish list for season 7:

And everything RogerRocks said.

No more soap opera

Clark getting a JOB or going back to school.

Clark/Lex conflict is back to being about ANYTHING but Lana.

A few things I thought of this past week.

- I would still like to see Clark and Chloe (and maybe MM too) testing Clark's powers. I don't think it has to be elaborate, and I think it could be done as an easy way to stumble into the teaser. Like the jumping 1/8th of a mile (hello canon) and have Clark jump into danger, or into saving someone, or something. It could be cute and fun, and it makes Clark look more proactive, and more human. Who wouldn't want to know their limits in that case?

- I would love to have Bart come back. Yes the JL is fun and there is a time and place for that. But if Manhunter is going to be around which the finale seemed to set up - and I DO hope he is - then I'd love to have Bart visit for a day to see the polar opposites Clark gets to deal with. Plus like Pete, it would be great to have someone young, his age, knowing his secret to just get some stuff off his chest. And another case for fun - superhoops? Who knows. Plus it would be a great teaser to see the guys (and gals, what about BatChica, er Acrata/Andrea at some point) filter in and out of his life. And everyone loves Bart.

- If there is truth in Chloe, Jimmy, and hopefully next year Clark going to Met U/going to school then a mention. Nothing more elaborate than Lockdown or Wither (working at the beginning of a scene, or mentioning a source) would be needed. Similarly, it would be great if Clark really *had* a term paper that he was working on after all those excuses. "I can't save the world, I have a finale tomorrow!" Something like that. Again, it doesn't have to be much [even though I love the Met U sets and thought it was brilliant the way that you can introduce a lot of people and things naturally though the coming and going of a major campus] just a little bit.

I would second those who say I would also love to see Clark getting a job in the mail room, Chlois still, more evil Lex, more variations on the wardrobe [I'll go for a longer red jacket. what? I like the symbolism.], and Chloe's power to go away.

More fun things when/if I think of them.
PepSinger
I hope Chloe and Clark become roommates next year. I think it could make for interesting interaction and dialogue.
savingpeople
My Wishlist for S7

- MM and Clark discussing flight.
- PERRY WHITE.
- I wouldn't mind some Met U. stuff every now and then. Maybe Clark, Chloe, and Jimmy could take a journalism class? :)
- InvestigativeChloe. In S4, she said she was thinking about making a career out of snooping. Can we get back to that, instead of her always stuck behind a computer?
- Clark seeing the REAL Lana. You know, the manipulative, selfish one who locks people in wine cellars for her own gain?
- Clark interacting with kids. I really enjoyed his time with Ryan, Maddie, and even Javier. I think he's so Supermanly when he encourages the kiddies. Heck, I wouldn't even mind seeing Chloe bond with a small child over some injustice in Metropolis. Maybe even flip it around to the other extreme and have them help an elderly person.
- Jimmy in a dress.
- Toyman or Metallo. Or both. But, make them CREEPY like the Animated Series and JLU.
- Mercy Graves.
- Bring back the FoS! I've really been missing it. I think Clark needs to be interacting with his BioDad more since both of his adopted parents will be missing from now on.
- More Level 33.1.
- Chloe's meteor power to go away. We should only be seeing ONE character developing superpowers, right?
- More HumorousClark. I love when he cracks a joke or plays a prank. Gives him a lighter side and in some ways, makes him seem intelligent.
- No JerkyClark with Chloe. He got on her case in S6 for the stupid same reason way too many times and it was really silly. And, not a good silly. Stupid silly. I'd actually like to see him appreciate her more.

Oh, and I echo the folks who like Clark getting a job in the DP mailroom. It'd give him a start there as well as paying off some "Noir" foreshadowing.
Prospero
I hope Chloe and Clark become roommates next year. I think it could make for interesting interaction and dialogue.

I don't even want them to have time for dialogue. Chlarky sex! 24/7!
Luthors may come on Tuesdays and Fridays.

hello everyone! I am new to TWoP so i thought I would begin at this thread...with my wishlist for the future:

-Clark and Lex begin real animosity over anything besides Lana. I get that they both want/love her, blah blah...but if this is the extent of their animosity, then that is just sad

-MM serves to be a role model/mentor for Clark..and they have deep, profound discussions about life...

-bring back season 4 & 5 Chloe ASAP!!!!!!!!!! with her having a more proactive role in bringing down Lex Luthor

-Chlo-Lo love...with some karaoke in the mix: as long as they keep true to the Chloe that we have seen for many years

-i want to see Pa Kent again (I can dream cant I?)

-evil, malicious, sly, twisted Lex...not "ohhh, I want her to love me...nobody loves me...booohoooo!Lex"

-MUCH more Shelby: i really miss that dog :)

-sorry..i could do without Jimmy

-i really hope the Kent house does not become: Flavor of Love: Kent Style *shudders*
quietone
Hi nwp01! Welcome to TWOP.

Some things I'd like to see...

Clex animosity that doesn't involve Lana

The return of the JLA and MM

A Clark POV episode with TW doing voice overs

Another 'vision' episode with Jonathan Kent and Lillian Luthor

Lionel/Lex showdown

Lara
Firebunny
I think it would be nice to get a Lana AU ep. Lex and Clark both got glimpses into an AU, I think Lana should get one. I don't really care what the AU is, just that she realize what a horrible, bitchy person she is and how everyone lets her get away with everything. And the lesson she can take away from it is that she doesn't need to change because there are no consequences for the things she does. I would appreciate an episode like that.
scout1279
I want to see a complete adaptation of this comic. It's got all the makings of a classic Smallville episode, in that there's plenty of the Goughlar's standard devices, combined with some complete and total crack that I defy anyone to not get a kick out of.

We have:
Jimmy Olsen checking out some sweet ass
Alien abduction
Clark's robot teacher (who is there to help him master his powers now that he's on the edge of manhood)
Clark's identity revealed (but not really)
Twice!
Bigfeet!
Pointless death
Creepy mindwhammied romance (and given the Kents' comments at the top of this page, it's even got Smallville brand of dubious sexual morality)

But I think it's obvious that the Goughlar's holding out on this particular story until the end of the series, because, after the events of this story, he "deserves to be called a man."
MsSullivan
*Perry needs to come back and interact with Clark and Chloe. I liked Allison's idea that Chloe needs to earn his respect.

*Chimmy should end ASAP. It drags down both characters.

*I want more bad!ass Chloe from Zod, pissed @ Clark Chloe when he left her out of the investigation in Sneeze, heroic!Chloe that used her stun gun to free Clark in Wither, competitive!Chloe from Arrow, on top of her game!Chloe in Fallout, investigative team!Chlark from Rage, L33.1 curious!Chloe in Static, article chasing!Chloe in Subterranean, scrappy fighter!Chloe in Hydro, partner to Clark Kent in Justice, best friend to Clark Kent in Labyrinth, always reporter!Chloe from Progeny.

*SO NO MORE freak, passive, lana-worshiping, not!reporting Chloe from Reunion, Crimson, Trespass, Freak (loved it, but I hate that Chloe is a freak), Promise, Combat, Nemesis, and Phantom.

*More Chloe and Clark going undercover a la Thirst and Vengeance.

*More Clark playing a central role, instead of Lana.

*If Lana is cloned have her eat some frogs.
scout1279
I was looking for something else entirely when I came across this in the Wikipedia entry for Kryptonite:

Pink Kryptonite!
From an alternate timeline in a 2003 Supergirl storyline by Peter David, this bizarre variety of Kryptonite apparently turned heterosexual Kryptonians temporarily into homosexuals; it was seen in just one panel, with Superman giving flattering compliments to Jimmy Olsen about his wardrobe and decorative sense. It spoofs the more "innocent times" of the Silver Age (Lois Lane is depicted in this story as not understanding what's gotten into Superman).

I would like to see that.

Also, why should Chloe get all the powers having fun? Back in the Silver Age (and also in the current series Countdown), Jimmy Olsen used to acquire powers all the time, including turning into Giant Turtle Boy, a Gorilla, and Flamebird. I would really like to see Giant Turtle Boy. The Bottle City of Kandor would be cool too.
Cyb
I've just watched the first episode of the new Creature Comforts and my new wish is that next season, all the Smallville characters are replaced by little clay animals.
Chlarkolate
Pink Kryptonite!

* squee! * I would pay, pay I tell you!, to see an episode with pink kryptonite. Please, please, oh pretty please with sugar on top!
nwp01
MsSullivan..I like your thoughts! :)

Pink Kryptonite??...Ahhh...so that's what Lana is huh??..I can see the parallels between them...but in fact, both Clark and Lex suffered from the effects of Pink K this season.

But on to more of my wish list:
I just rewatched Covenant. There were so many things right with this episode that I dont know where to start. This was a full, solid hour of good SV that I haven't seen in a long time. It gave me goosebumps and the 'good feeling' that I used to get when I watched SV seasons ago. Haven't felt like that since some time in season 5.

Please, please, for the love of everything good, can we get back to this kind of Smallville?
- A Chloe not afraid to stand up to the Luthors
-Solid plots
-A Jonathan and Martha Kent who had a real presence in their son's life
-A Lionel who is an undoubted Magnificent Bastard...even from a jail cell
-Jor-El: even though he was questionable, darn..I still miss him
-Mythology
-Heck, even the Lexana and Clana were tolerable..and even thought Clark was fighting it for a while, he actually (albeit reluctantly) accepted some destiny.

*sigh*..I miss this kind of Smallville. I dont know what it has become now, short of a soap opera.

This is what they need to get back to. I wish. :(
Cyb
Ok my serious wish is one that I've had for a long time now. I want a competent Lex. Not just in his supervillain plots, but in everything. His politics, his lovelife, his business... all of it. If the show is so crazy about lightswitches, they might as well switch off the lovesick, insecure, no-plan-having, incompetent weasel and switch on the smooth, charismatic, powerful, competent badass.

He can still blackmail and coerce other people, but I want his minions to work for him because they think he's the guy to work for. They should be loyal to him. A baddie who can't get his shit together with plans that always blow up in his face just isn't scary or exciting to me. He shouldn't be whimpering over Princess Squirrelana or anyone anymore. People should be giving him the moon-eyes.

Now that I think about it, I don't want any of the mains to be lovesick on this show. They waste so much time on long, lingering closeup shots of longing and pain and angst. They could use the time for something better, like Shelby playing fetch, or a freshly painted wall drying.

ETA: About minions... Lex needs a Dominic. Perhaps he could clone one, and instead of being loyal to Lionel, this would would be loyal to Lex.

Word to the nth degree.

Cyb, that's my biggest wish for the show too, but I fear that I have a better chance of seeing Giant Turtle Boy.

Would you settle for a frogboy of some kind? I want Lex's next big Offscreenville project to be revealed as an attempt to breed a frog with his favorite colors. They could even get Aquadude back in on the action.

Aquadude: First you kill a bunch of fishes and now you're diddling with frog DNA!
Lex: Would you rather I diddle with your DNA?
Aquadude: No! Never in a million years! Never, ever! .... Oh ok.
kitmerlot
I'm almost afraid to wish for anything, because I've wished for a romance for Chloe and we got Chimmy instead.

So I'm kind of afraid of now TPTB will twist our wishes around.

But a competently evil Lex, with all of the Lana-blinders gone, would be excellent.
Massena1
Wishes based upon spoilers:

I wish Kara would

1) Admire Chloe tremendously. Recognize how awesome she is and mention how impressed she is by Chloe to her. She deserves it.
2) Absolutely NOT pimp either Lana or Nois. Show no signs of unearned admiration for either of them.
3) Motivate Clark to be more active in his life and get a job and go to school.
4) Try to play matchmaker for Chloe and Clark. Or Chloe and her editor. Or Chloe and anyone because while she likes Chloe, she wants Jimmy for herself.
5) Mention how incredibly HOT Lex is. Repeatedly.
6) Use her x-ray vision to peek in on Lex in the shower. Repeatedly.
7) Mention how cool Martian Manhunter is.
8) Be sweet to Shelby.
9) Kill Nois off permanently by accident. **** If this happened, she'd become my FAVORITE character on the show.

I wish the new editor will serve as a catalyst for Clark to get a job at the DP and for Pod!Chloe to vanish forever and for real Chloe to get her mind back on her work and her goals again.

Other wishes for S7:
- Lex gets a new competent minion and possibly a love interest = Mercy.

- Lex meets a thug, Otis, in jail and beats him up a la John Lithgow in "Ricochet" to show him who is boss and becomes one of the most feared guys in jail and Otis becomes Lex's minion.

- Clark and Chloe working so hard, they can hardly keep their eyes open. (E.g. Chlark working late doing undercover work to crack a story so Clark is yawning all the time because he can barely keep up with school and work and the farm.

-Chloe and Jimmy fighting because she has to work and he's feeling neglected but Chloe presses on regardless because her career matters to her.

- Lex planning big projects so zealously that he picks up a drug habit to let him keep up with all his big mad plans.

-Chloe back working hard on *HER* 33.1 story to avenge her mother's sacrifice and get even with Lex.

- Martian Manhunter featured in several episodes guiding Clark on being a superhero.

- Bart stopping by early in the season to be Clark's pal and do fun stuff with him. And listen to Clark's issues and tell him to move on.

- A new interesting villian - perhaps Darkseid?
Cyb
I want a sense of danger. (This is different from the general sense of doom the show has, especially when we're 5 minutes from the end of the episode and Clark is in his loft and the situation is ripe for a Clana staring contest.) A sense of danger means having a competent Lex like I wished for earlier. There's no danger in Lex discovering the Thecret or creating supersoldiers if he fails at everything he does or spends most of his time making plans for Lana's holy uterus.

A sense of danger means having an arc that lasts all season, gets mentioned and is shown onscreen pretty often, instead of being pushed to Offscreenville until the last couple of episodes or coming out of nowhere like black alien ships, Bizclarko, Evil Plane-Sabotaging Helen, etc.

A sense of danger means having something important at stake, knowing what it is, and seeing all the different players doing their part on screen, instead of just vaguely wanting Stones of Knowledge for vague purposes.

Most of all, it means being consistent with characters so people can be somewhat assured that lessons will stick, threats will mean something, and dangers won't be ignored or swept under the rug when they become inconvenient. If a character makes bad choices, then there have to be consequences. They did it with Chloe and Lionel's deal, so they can (theoretically) do it again.
Littlbit
I'd like to have MR and TW write an episode together before the series ends. IMO, they know the characters better than some of the writers do.
Chlarkolate
That would be awesome!
Cyb
I think I'm giving up on wishing for anything good or logical. Now I'm going to wish for pure cheese on a crap cracker. That way, if things turn out better than what I wished for, it will be a pleasant surprise!

First wish: Lex needs someone to talk to, right? His minions are always dying. His wives are always trying to kill him or just plain leave him. He has no friends. He needs someone to talk over his evil plans with, to listen to him when no one else will. So the Great Gazoo shows up. They can talk about how they're both sooo misunderstood and they don't really want to destroy the universe.

Second: The Daily Planet is bought out by Hooters. Chloe and Lois both work there in tiny shirts and short-shorts. Clark goes to work there cooking up hotwings. It's so hot that he frequently has to cook with his shirt off.

Third: Kara earns money by opening up a bikini carwash. In their spare time, Clark, Chloe, and Lois all help out. Lex shows up often (he has a lot of dirty, dirty cars) with sexy results.

Fourth: In the last episode, everything is revealed to have taken place in Lana's dreams. Everything was just the narcissistic ramblings of her demented mind and that is why everything seemed to revolve around her. I guess this one is actually slightly logical...
scout1279

As much as I am not one to complain about Clark taking his shirt off, cooking hot wings shirtless seems both unsafe and unsanitary.
Cyb

But it's ok because he's super! If anyone asks questions or gets suspicious about why he never gets burned, he can just distract them by putting on some short-shorts. As for the unsanitaty part... he can wear hairnets. On his nipples.

Shirtless!Clark wearing short-shorts...WOW!

Fourth: In the last episode, everything is revealed to have taken place in Lana's dreams.

This would explain SO MUCH.

I too love the idea of TW and MR writing an episode.

I wish in s7 we find out that Lana has been working with Lex all this time. She pretended to still have feelings for Clark to learn the secret. The Lex/Lana conversations in the study are staged knowing they were being videotaped (for Lionel's benefit). Lana is aware and okay with 33.1 and the silver-pantsed army.

Their plan goes off-track when Lana finds out about the faux!baby. She believes Lex is behind it and is angry enough to work against Lex with Lionel. Lex is confused. He doesn't understand what is going on. Lana finally decides she can't forgive or be with Lex and fakes her death (implicating him for the murder).

In s7 Lana finds out that Lex wasn't behind the faux!baby plot, Lionel was. She returns to Lex with full knowledge of Clark's secret.

Hey, it makes about as much sense as the last half of s6. I can dream, can't I?
KRehnberg
My wish is that Clark accidentaly ingests some kind of Psychotropic hallucinagen that makes him think Lana is actually Doomsday, and he realizes that he has no choice but to Lobotomize Doomsday a la Justice Lords Supes on JLU
Littlbit

Da Da Dum da dum! Will she tell Lex? Or keep Clark's secret? Find out next week on Smallville. Sorry, I had to do it. :-)

nzs, I like your wish and I wish that would be the way it happens. But I think the writers would be so confused by it they'd never be able to continue that story. :)

I think it makes more sense than the last half of S6 though.
blankslate
How much of a loser do you have to think your son is to fake pregnancy and when that isn't enough, blackmail someone to marry him?
KRehnberg
Season 7, IMO, could really be succesful if they stick with the whole 33.1 / Silver Pants Army arc for Lex. I think it could make for some excellent episodes. What I really wish is that Lex's Silver Pants army is so strong that Clark needs to call in the JL AND use Kara and Martian Manhunter to help. That would most likely be the best episode ever. Just don't know if they can afford to make an episode that BIG.
scout1279
For various reasons, which I am not going to go into, I think that Warner Bros. has decided that Smallville exists to boost the profiles of superheroes that they might want to do something else with in the future. To that end, I would really like to see Black Canary show up.

I know I've said in the past that I have serious misgivings about the Goughlar getting their hands on any of the female superheroes because they will just use them as love interests, but Black Canary needs the exposure. Also, Black Canary works better in that kind of scenario, IMO, than Wonder Woman, who is so way beyond Smallville.

Anyway, Black Canary is awesome, but not enough people know how awesome she is, so let's get her on the show.
Littlbit
I'd like to see Selma Blair on SV. Maybe SB play an assistant for Lex. Something where she can interact with Clark and Lex would be great.
Orestes96

This would mean that Lana is secretly awesome. Therefore, it's an impossibility. I'd love to see it though. Well, no more romantic Lexana; Just "lets be EVOL partners" Lexana...

Today, in honor of Cyb and thanks to those inescapable "Bratz: The Movie" trailers, I want to hear Lana say the word "bratitude" just once.
Firebunny
So, this isn't something I want to see on Smallville but...

I so wish with all my heart that TW and MR would host SNL together. I think that would be the most awesome of awesomeness.

And if they did that I would so want TW to do this sketch...

Clark, Lois, Jimmy, and Perry are at the DP when they hear someone scream "Help, help!"

Lois: This looks like a job for Superman.

Everyone freezes except for Clark, and there's some kind of sound effect to let us know he's gone into superspeed.

He rushes over to his desk and starts taking off his clothes, folding them nicely, and stowing them away in a desk drawer. Then he pulls out the Suit and has to struggle to get into it. Maybe he has to lie down on the desk and really kick his legs into the tights. Then he puts on the boots and the belt and the cape, making sure it drapes nicely down his back. He gets out a comb and some hair gel and and does the little curly cue on the forehead. Then he brushes his teeth.

Finally he's ready. He jumps forward, arms akimbo.

Superman: Have no fear... (glances down) Ah f*ck, I put them on the outside again.

I would be the happiest fangurl on the face of the universe (yes, the universe doesn't have a face, but I'd be so happy, I'd draw one on it) if they did something like that. TW getting to do physical comedy (and taking his clothes off) and making fun of Superman. It's what I wish for more than anything else right now, more than world peace.

ETA: Pitched the idea to my sketch troupe today at rehearsal and they really liked it. So, maybe someday we'll film it or do it in one of our live shows. I just have to figure out how to get TW to Philadelphia because I want him in it.
Chlarkolate
Firebunny, that whole skit would be hysterical!
I haven't watched SNL in, well, more than a decade. Has TW or MR ever hosted on their own? Cause either one would be great. But a duo would be good too. Has SNL ever had a pair of hosts?
Sometimes SNL seems to pick people who are famous but lack charisma. They should really focus on talent and charisma for hosts rather than name only.
Kahhhn
They should really focus on talent and charisma for hosts rather than name only.

Truer words have never been spoken, but the big names are the ones that bring in the ratings. But they have gone for the more off beat type stars lately. Zach Braff hosted and was very funny, Payton Manning probably did one of the funniest sketches they have done in years.
Femvamp
Femvamp's Wishlist - AKA the 5 things that will never EVER happen.

5. Lana is really dead and is reanimated by Lex. Lana has no memory of hating Lex or of loving Clark.

4. Clark realizes that Lana isn't the girl for him and sets his sights on Chloe who is still dating Jimmy.

3. Lana and Lex set out to take over the world.....they are just sooooooo evil. (I really really really really...ok one more really want to see Lana being all evil with Lex.)

2. Martha and Lionel having a torrid and slighty twisted affair. I know it won't end well but hey what does on this show?

1. Chloe with a decent superpower and having her and Clark do something super powery together and then having hot sex in Clark's uhhh secret lair.

Ok that's my list.
Bkwurm
I'd like to second Femvamp's list and specifically number 2. It's just so wrong that it is right.
Liv06
I'd say Lana dead as a doornail, crushed, flattened and pancaked, but I'm pretty sure they'd bring two clones back instead.
RepairmanBob
1) Dead Lana.
2) Dead Lana.
3) Dead Lana.
4) Real Chloe. Wearing the Power Suits of Chloevage. Or nothing at all.
5) Heroic Clark.
6) Evil, Competent Lex.
7) Dead Lana.
8) Really Evil Lionel.
9) Return of the Justice League.
10) Chlark having hot sex... to celebrate Dead Lana. Angry Chlex sex for the same reason would also be acceptable.
Chlarkolate
Everything RepairmanBob said. Especially #10.
