Bringing this over from the 'most distracting thing' thread:
Thank gods there's no electric fencing in SV --Bregaladiel
Given how competition fencing works, if they did it in that style, the point scored/match would only take seconds. A lot of non-fencers don't dig watching fencing because it's quick instead of dragged out like basketball or football. --
ShadowknightOh my goodness! An electric bout between Lionel and Lex would be the most hilarious thing ever. Seriously. And if they were fencing sabre? I would pay good money to see Lionel whap Lex over the head (mask) with a sabre. Or vice versa. Can you imagine?
'Guard, prêt, allez!'
*stomp-stomp-stomp-whop!*
'Halt! Touch left!'
Or maybe épeé, and have them stab at one another's feet.
'Allez!'

I want to see all of Lex's ex-wives, girlfriends (& boyfriends?) come popping out of the woodwork, just like they would in a real election. That's right: I want to see Desiree, Helen, the awesome Carrie Castle and the entire Generic Brunette Diamond Earring Brigade. I want Clark to go crazy-bitch-jealous over this because JealousClark is my favourite thing. And I want to know if Lex and Nell ever had a fling because there seemed to be little hints along those lines in S1 and it would drive an ice dildo straight through the heart of Lexana.

Dear Santa,
I've been reasonably good this year and there's only one thing I want under my "Lexmas" tree. And that is Lex knowing or finding out Clark's secret in some way, shape, or form and dealing with that knowledge during the romanticized dream part of the episode.
That, and an entertaining turn for Lex down the dark path that doesn't sacrifice character complexity. Okay, so I want two things. I'm sure they're within your power to bring about, Mr. Kringle, and it would so ever make my Christmas.

Amen to that; hell, at least show one member of the staff once in awhile. Seriously, that castle is way too empty considering the size
and the fact Lex is loaded with a capital "L." Throw us a bone and add some realism AlMiles! Oh yeah, I forgot who I'm pleading with here, with our luck they'll dress the Pink Pwincess up in a naughty French maid's outfit and have her bend over to dust Lex's armoire; with a hot-pink feather duster of course.
I would also like to see the return of Stompy. Preferably with a puddle of pink marshmallow goo under his hooves.
I also want to see the return of product-placement Pete, if nothing else for a breath of fresh air in an increasingly stale series.

Pete would win. Now I'm not so sure if I want the product-placement aspect of Pete; could you imagine the recap? "Smallville! Ok; this is what I REALLY want to see - knowing all the while that in asking for it, I'm asking the writers to make my empathy bleed internally and on a visceral level akin to being shot by what I love. But what the heck, Carpe Diem. :)
I want them to boldly grab their protagonist with both hands, and give me a truly gutwrenching fall from grace worthy of a Greek tragedy. To see them lift Lex Luthor high enough to not only be within reach of love, but to actually touch it. Let him find his soul mate and salvation. To know what it's like to finally feel loved - only to have it cruely snatched away and by his own misguided efforts for ironically trying to protect it. For given he's been fated to fall from the start like Milton's Lucifer in Paradise Lost, let it be from heaven then if he's ultimately destined to a hell of his own making.
The greater the height from which you fall, the greater the resonance of it when you hit the ground. Let that be the lasting legacy of his character. Not that he fell in the first place, but that he fell better than any protagonist before him on television; for allowing viewers fall with him when he did. No half-measures. No umbrella under which to stand. Let us remember Rosenbaum's Lex with an ache so profound, the pain of it becomes a pleasure like the memory of a eulogy written by Shakespeare recited in the rain.

Some random things I want to see.
1. Some scenes showing Chloe and Lana as roomates. (I'm thinking that episode of Buffy where her roomate is a demon)
2. Lex really pushing Chloe for information about Clark.
3. Lana getting a decent niche in the show. I get the feeling they're really laboring about what to do with Lana this year. I don't like the whole "The Truth is out there" Lana. I guess it's better than witchy Lana though.
4. Some decent villians. Braniac was such a letdown in my opinion. Not really a mega-Buffy fan but I'd like to see Smallville adapt the format where a villian is featured for a whole season then a big fight happens in the season finale.
5. More Chloe. This may just seem like blatant Chloe worshipping but I just feel the show runs more smoothly when she's involved. Just filter everything through her.
6. Something major happening on the show. I want one of those shocking plot twists where all the fans freak out and it's talked about incessantly. One of those moments where you remember exactly where you were when it happened.

The last thing I want to see is Lana break up with Clark. It should be the other way around. I want to see Clark realize that he's got to move on and Lana is just holding her back.
And if Lex always loving Lana is now part of canon, per the line in Lexmas, then I'd like to see Lex realize that there are things that he values much more than love and/or Lana Lang, like power and the need to stop a possible alien invasion for example.

How about this? After Lex and Lana inevitably get together (I know it's gross, but go with this), lex is put in a position where he has to knowingly put Lana in mortal danger in order to get something else that he wants. He of course chooses the Lana death scenario. Clark manages to save her, and Lana takes his efforts as a sign that she still loves her and they can get back together. Clark then laughs in her face and leaves Lana humiliated.

Believe it or not, I want to see Quentin Tarantino direct an episode. He did a bang up job with a CSI episode he did because he's a fan of the show and I hear the crew were jazzed to work with him. Considering that QT actually knows MR plays Lex, he must watch or has watched the show and I figure that the crew would be jazzed to see him at work.

While I would love it if QT directed an episode of Smallville, I don't think it would work. Smallville has a much different style then ER. Almost every director that comes into the show directs it the same way. The Smallville Close-ups, the soap opera staging of scenes..etc. I don't know if Smallville lends itself to QT. But God how I would love it. ...

I've said this like a million times but I'd like to see a Chloe and Lana scene. Hell, let's just make it a huge fight, let's have a full-out Chloe and Lana feud, not over Clark but just in general. Maybye Lana telling Clark not to be friends with Chloe anymore.
Like what Lana said to Clark, I'm saying it to the WB:
Can we please have some teen drama? It does seem to be the one thing you're good at.
Or at least claim to be.
ETA: Scratch that what I'd really like to see is Chloe gets drugged and becomes really paranoid and she imagines Lana and Clark doing it on her bed. And Lana has put on Chloe's clothes and is wearing a blonde wig and talking to him in Chloe mannerisms.
Then Chloe shows up and Lana and Clark laugh at her and then Chloe pulls a gun out and shoots Lana.
Like that Star Trek TNG episode.

I'd like to see a flashback to the summer Lex hid Chloe and to see what their interaction was like that summer. Did they play board games? Did he bring her presents when he visited? What were their talks like?
I don't really read fanfic, but when I asked people to recommend some Chlex fics most of them had to do with this summer. I'd like to see what the Smallville writers could do with that set up - it could be interesting to know especially given how tense their relationship is now. And since the writers seem to love to retcon things, I'd like to get the benefit of some of the retconning.
The other thing I would like to see is Lex finding the video of him in Asylum telling Clark that he knows his secret. I think it would drive Lex nuts to know that he had the knowledge at one point and to imagine that Clark might have let him be brain-zapped to keep his secret. Heck, it would be nice for Lex to throw that in Clark's face to get him down off his soap box.

This is what I want for the season finale. I want Clark captured by Braniac. That would be the season finale cliffhanger. Then in the season premiere of season 6 Chloe has to find a way to save Clark. But she can't do it alone so she seeks Lana's help. But Lana acts all bitchy and won't do it unless Chloe explains exactly what is going on so Chloe is forced to spill the beans on Clark's secret. After Clark gets rescued somehow by Chloe and Lana Clark is furious at Chloe for revealing his secret to Lana. I want this because it finally lets Lana know who Clark is for real and it takes advantage of the fact that Chloe also knows. It would also setup some interesting storylines like Lana finally knowing and Chloe facing the consequences of knowing the secret.

Heck, it would be nice for Lex to throw that in Clark's face to get him down off his soap box.
I'd like to see Lex present an entire music video of Clark's sudden appearances and superfeats in various Luthorcorp facilities. I'd love to see the chagrin on Clark's face when he sees himself ripping the door off Lex's vault in the study.
Not only should Lex have that Belle Reve footage, he ought to still have the video of Clark's high-speed blur at the museum, from Rogue, along with all that cool stuff from the C.O.C.K. (He could probably round up some interesting footage from Clark's Red Summer, as well. I'd also like to see Chloe bring up the Masked Marauder to Clark, since she was on the case and those Verizon ads are said to be canon.)
Lex has So much evidence by now, there's just no way out of him knowing the truth by the end of this series.
Lex Knows. That's my expectation and top entry on the wish list.
But she can't do it alone so she seeks Lana's help.
Why would she ever do that? Wouldn't she go to Martha?
In a Lex-Fine supervillain team-up, if Clark was captured by Brainiac, Lex might also capture Chloe, just to keep her from meddling (or maybe just to gloat a little about knowing the truth). In a situation like that, Chloe might crack in an effort to stop Lex from honoring any bargains made with Brainiac. Because she knows (via Clark) that Brainiac wants to kill all humans. So, Chlex would then have to team up to pull a fast one on Brainac and free up Clark to duke it out with him.
Then again, she might be able to pull this off without admitting to the truth, simply by listening to Lex, gleaning the scheme, and then filling his head up with doubts about the wisdom of trusting the sincerity of a devious android from a distant galaxy. Whatever Lex may believe about Clark's origins, Chloe can appeal to his knowledge of Clark versus his knowledge of Brainiac. Which of them could Lex realistically consider to be more on humanity's side? The one who was raised by humans or the cold robutt?

5. A guy for Chloe. Someone less dumb than Clark. It's unbelievable that a girl like Chloe is alone. Despite the fact that they make it look like "her private life is off-screen". I'd like to see Clark's reaction. Maybe he can even become jealous?

A shoutout to Smallville fans, that's all I want. I can picture like three Smallville fans getting excited and cracking up while everyone else in the theater not getting it.
Back before the costume for
Superman Returns was unveiled, there was a lot of talk among the sane, rational
Smallville fans (as opposed to the lunatic fringe known as the Wellingites, who won't accept anything less than
Smallville and its cast as the sole existing Superman canon) to try and work the show's cast into small roles, or even as members of the publicity team.
1. A commercial where Welling and Kruek would be looking thru the movies section of a newspaper and saying in unison, "This looks good!" Cut to the them pointing at a
Superman Returns ad, which segues into footage from the movie.
2. A sequence in the film of Sam Jones III as an out-of-work actor working as a cabbie, unloading his horror stories about incompetent TV producers on an unsuspecting Clark Kent.
3. Annette O'Toole as a friend of the Kents who's trying to look after Clark for Martha...to the point of repeatedly embarrassing him in public and being a total mother hen.
4. This one was the most popular of them all...
Welling is playing basketball in a Metropolis park with Dean Cain. They hear a scream of sound overhead, and look up to see Superman streaking by.
WELLING (disgusted): Did you see that? I wouldn't be caught dead wearing an outfit like that!
CAIN (daydreaming): I don't know...I think it'd look good on me.
Welling does a double-take in disbelief.I don't suppose I should mention the most popular cameo idea was an attempt at turning Welling's decision not to play the adult Superman into a joke...which may account for why it was the most popular cameo idea.
