He is, y'know. And that's hot.

Remember the scene where he drew a little face on a surgical glove, blew it up, and then flicked one of the fingers at Meh? SWOON.

I loved that scene! What made me love it even more was the fact that he do it while everybody was completely stressed out.

I want George's cool little t-shirt collection. Mostly, I want those t-shirts with the Beautiful Boy in them. My GOD, those eyes! *swoon*

George is pretty. I love the pretty George!

He's already on my Christmas wishlist. Sorry. ;)

dibs on George! (too bad I'm late...)

remember the scene with the little girl who had to have half of her brain removed? he was so cute with her... aww!
TV aholic
I LOVE George! He is so adorable and really becoming the shining light of the surgical interns! I loved him in the elevator doing what no one would have thought possible!

Hoping for great things for George in the future!

I can see George switching to pediatric surgery, so we can get more AdorableGeorge.

More George lurve. The way I see it, if McDreamy and Alex are the kind of guys one sleeps with, then George is the kind of guy one marries if they're lucky, smart or both.

Thank you. I'm still holding out hope for George/Izzy.

Edit: Woot! George bumped me up to Couch Potato!
CloudyGumdrops
George is so sweet and a cutie. I like him more and more every episode.

I too am hoping for George/Izzie.

I love George. *snuggles* He's so adorkable.

Loved how he took charge in the elevator the other week...
Excuses
The best part about the elevator scene for me was his whole protective roommate role, reeming out Alex over Izzy. I love that he is no longer completely a bumbling idiot when he's with Meradith, but you can still see his admiration of her. It's also great fun when he gets frustrated and baby-stomps off with his torso leading the rest of his body.

One of my students looks (and sounds!) a lot like George. It's very unsettling and is causing me to keep my George-love under wraps for the rest of the semester. So I'll be sure to be properly gushy about him again come January.

yay. I'm not the only one. I've been rooting for a hookup ever since Izzie took his toothbrush.

Yes! I'm all about George/Izzie. Alas I don't see it happening (two nice people=too nice a relationship). But really they deserve each other in their sickeningly decent, competant, all around attractiveness.
Meaghan Edwards
I love me some George. He's like a little puppy.
Bohemian Taco
I still laugh whenever I think about,

"Make the lambs stop screaming!"

.. heh

He can be my investigative sponge anyday. Georgie-Poo, I heart you.

I have to say, George is my least favourite character on the show. That being said, I still love him - I'm just not obsessed like I am with all the other characters.

I don't know, his brand of adorkable just doesn't do it for me. In order for adorkable to work, he needs to add way more sarcasm, kind of like Seth (who is incidentally one of the only characters on the O.C. I actually care about). Maybe some Cristina snark will rub off on him? Just a little bit?

markedel, that's exactly what I've been saying in the Izzie/Izzy (?) thread. I usually don't like when friends hook up, but I really want to see George and Izzie give it a go.

Oh man, can you imagine all the great story lines we can get with George and a bunch of kiddies running around, totally messing with him?

Ugh. It would only take two episodes to turn adorable into annoying charicature. Keep George with the more varied storiy lines. He's the most sensitive of all the interns and has had great rapport with tons of patients, from the little girl to Ellis.
Curare
That line about the lambs was damn funny. It was all in the delievery.

How many people found George *sexy* in this episode? Am I the only one? I thought the part where he tells Mer that McD is crazy for not picking her was so good. I feel the sparks fly between them. I think I’m actually warming up the idea of Mer and George getting it on, especially now that McD is an ass.

Also, I found his whole “strung out on the scalpel” comment very sexy! My only complaint about him is that someone needs to change his hair. It is unfair to make him look greasy every week!

Yes! I would love that.

I don't think Meredith is good enough for George and when it was revealed that he had a crush on her I was actually disappointed in him!

Me too. I hate it when kind, decent people fall for selfish whores. I liked George with that red-headed chick, even though she did give him syph.
tvjunkie2008
I do not want GeorgeMeh even a little bit. She needs to stay as far away from my George as possible. I know they live together, but still.
jewlmc
I don't think a Meh pairing would be good for him in the long run, but he needs some good angst.
tvjunkie2008
He does need some angst, but not with Meh. Maybe a GeorgeIzzieAlex triangle. That could be good stuff.
DrCher
George is just too good for Meh.
maki

George is just too good for Meh.[/quote]Word. But, then again, I'm a George/Izzie shipper.
tvjunkie2008
George is infinitely better than Meh. She doesn't even slightly deserve him.
whatthedeuce
I think the only person who deserves George at this point is Izzie. I'm rooting for Gizzie all the way! Ooh, the slogan should be "Gizzie or bust!" Ew, I can't believe I just said that. Or typed it. Whatever.
alyrae
I'm all for George/Izzie, but I see them as a couple who gets together later on. You know, after they go through all the drama and angst, they end up together with a Volvo and 1.5 kids.
whatthedeuce
1.5? I think they need to make a whole brood of sweet, sympathetic babies to balance out all the evil in this world. Yeah, I really dig that idea.
Bruin4Ever
With a 'ship name like Gizzie, they should be having babies well into the future. Sorry, couldn't resist.
whatthedeuce
Seriously, they should be pregnant with their fifth kid right now with the shipper name we've bestowed upon them!

I've already mentioned this in the old thread(so, apologies if you've heard it before), but I think there is a strong similarity between George and character of Xander Harris from Buffy The Vampire Slayer- so much so that I wouldn't be suprised if someone working on this writing staff was either connected to the BTVS world, or was just a big fan. Here's my quick thesis on this:
1. Both had/have major love for the main character of the show, but are relegated to the role of 'male best friend'. Time will tell if this will change for George/Meh- but I hope it doesn't. I think it's important for their dynamic that the relationship not become romantic.
2. Both are characterized as incredibly sweet, loyal, funny, self-depricating guys who aren't technically the 'romantic leading man' types, but are attractive in their own ways.
3. Both carry much of the humor of the show and a lot that humor is based on these guys getting themselves into humiliating situations. At the same time, however, both guys are portrayed as the 'heart' or 'conscience' of the show, and are incredibly perceptive, though others don't often give them credit for being that.
4. My personal favorite- both have had Syph!!!

Thanks for indulging me on my theory. George is a great character.
whatthedeuce
Well, Seth's adorkableness can get really irritating sometimes so I prefer our sad sack George over him.

Love it! He could be like Patch Adams!

Also, don't want he and Meh to be together, and I don't think its going to happen, since he reminds Meh and her mom of "Thatcher," Meh's daddy. That would be a little wierd for her don't you think?
whatthedeuce
Didn't George interact really well with a little girl patient last year, or am I thinking of the wrong show/character? He just seems like he's well-suited to work with kids. Izzie does, too. That bodes well for the numerous babies they'll have in the future. Yay!
Tabulous
I just heart George. He is so funny. He comes up with some really great lines. The lambs screaming, the strung out on the scalpel (very sexy by the way), and my absolute fave- Maybe he gave the chief syphillis too.
He's a smart guy who the other don't appreciate the way I do. But I love how in the last few eps he's gained some confidence, because there's nothing sexier than that. Especially in a man that is already so great.
The fact that he's so close to the girls is just funny. I never really cared for Meh, and agree with everyone that says George is too good, but G/I, yeah I could get on board with that. If I can't be with him that is.
He also has the greatest facial expressions ever. Love that boy

I must confess, I am a big fan of the George. He's all "I have my finger in a heart". I accosted those around me for days with that line. I loved that he got something to try and finally dispel the 007 problem back in season one. But my personal favourite moment? Ellis Grey thinking he's her husband and motioning for him to get into bed with her. And then kissing him on the cheek. Priceless - and excellent acting all round.
MelMelW
I have never posted in a character thread, but I must post here. George is my favorite character on any television show on TV - maybe ever, but I can't think that hard right now. He is so freakin' cute in this kind of innocent, earnest, teddy bear way, and I totally dig his roommate relationship with Meh and Izzie - I think it's a classic kind of Three's Company deal. I love that the girls treat him like a brother and his reactions to them - "Men don't buy tampons!" - and their invasion of his space . . . but he loves them and cares about them so he puts up with all of it.

I do NOT think he should get together with Meh ever, but not because I don't like her, but because she and McDreamy are meant to be. I never even considered George and Izzie because I have been caught up in why Alex got weird on Izzie and I think that relationship has a ton of potential - Alex is deeper than people (on the show) are giving him credit for - and can't wait to see how it plays out. I think George will end up with someone we don't even know yet. Me, hopefully.
simpatico
I hope George never gets with any of the lead girls. He has zero romantic chemistry with any of them, including Izzie. And I think that's how they all see him - very little-brothery. Of course that can change, and inevitably will on this TV show, but I just don't see a girl like Izzie and a guy like George ever being seriously interested in each other.
jewlmc
I don't think that's true. He has a lot of chemistry and comedic timing with Izzy.
