With deepest apologies to my husband, I'd like to proclaim my undying love to the music editor on this show. The lovely little French horn riffs whenever Markus babbled at Mr. Trump... ah, bliss.
Aw, gosh, poor Melissa. "Everybody's intimidated by me because I'm so beautiful and smart and wonderful and birds trill whenever I strut by and my voice is ever so dulcet and my poop doesn't stink." It's Audrey all over again, only without the unique vocabulary that made her such a wonderful asset to the TWOP forum.
I'm already picking Josh as the one to take over for Bren next year as Yahoo's recapper/Snarkmeister.

Wow. Good firing because one more show of Melissa and I was going to have to kill her. Cause I'm jealous of her beauty, you know.
What kind of moron says "I can't work with women"? With Carolyn in the room! And she tried to back track but it's obvious she meant it.
I felt bad for Markus because they did push him into the PM spot but eh, he talked way too much.
The women team sucks. And what's the name of the tiny guy.
IMO Kristi was a bad PM (don't know how she "got under" Melissa's skin) but I loved that she only brought Melissa in.
Hee, he made them run. Loved that.

I have a major problem with Trump saying that the girls' PM did terrible. They lost by 11 dollars. If they got stomped then I'd agree but with the popularity of strip aerobics, the XXX on the flier isn't that horrid. 11 dollars is not an ass kicking and therefore I don't feel he should tread all over the girl. Not with the byotch Melissa there. Stomp on her...it'd do her face some good.

It’s interesting enough for the first show. Better than Season 2 start, I think. (I didn’t realize how much I missed the opening song).
Apprenti:
Markus? Asshat. Even before he talked Trump’s ear off. And then hung up on him. (Hee! Sars, glad I wasn’t the only one who couldn't stand him)
Melissa? XX asshat. Kristi was a dumbass to put the XXX on the flyer, but smart enough to only bring Melissa in the boardroom with her. Great strategy.
The look on Caroline’s face! when Melissa said women were intimidated by her because “I’m beautiful and smart.” Unbelievable. She took the rope, stuck her head through, wrapped the other end around the light fixture. Got on the chair. And stepped off.
Having these people learned? When you’re in the boardroom and the other guy is in the hot seat. Shut. The Fuck. Up.
By the way, who was FloJo? She looked pretty good running flat out.
Trump and the Consiglieres:
Trumpy, thank you, for sending Randal home in a helicopter, even if it was just for TV, though I don’t think so. He’s generally sensitive to genuine family issues.
Friars Club as a reward? Blech. What was second choice, Papaya King?
Was Carolyn’s hair blonder? She looked good.
And finally, who do we think The D is going to have a crush on this season?

Fastest way to get your ass handed to you on a stick? Say "Me and Mr. Trump are kindred spirits". Silly Markus, you're so toasted.
Here's an idea, Donald, maybe if you didn't cast similar looking attractive people every season you could tell them apart.
Randal reminds me of a cartoon character, it's been driving me nuts for two weeks because I can't remember the character's name. Felisha looks like Molly Stanton in 7 years (Passions and Twins).
What a horrible flyer, but it isn't as horrible as Caroline's fluffy hair.
Melissa is deluded. You can't pull that "they're intimidated by me" crap in a corporate setting. That barely works in Junior High when you're explaining to your Mom why you got in a fight in gym class and landed in detention.

It's going to be almost impossible to keep all of the "Apprentices" straight between Martha's show and Donald's. There were several people in the boardroom I hadn't even remembered seeing previously - including the first guy to vote for Markus' exemption.
Decent premiere - I liked the humorous background music. Stand-outs: Randal and Josh ("the beauty supply/store owner").

Wow, Trump must have a thing for Southern women. It seems like quite a few of them had a twangy accent.
I love the editors for the music they played when Markus was talking...it was the music equivalent of "This guy's a tool." He'll hopefully be gone soon...I'm not sure I can take much more "Gee, Mr. Trump, I mean, the thing is, I stepped up, and we're, I tell you, so happy to be here..."
And why is it that when people like Melissa say, "I don't work well with women; they're intimidated by me," they always assume it's the rest of the world and not them? Way to not learn from it. Good riddance.

Wow, I was so afraid he was gonna keep Melissa around for "drama". She was grating on my nerves in the first 15 minutes.
OK the show is new, it always takes me awhile to sort out who's who except for the loudmouths but, first impressions:
Markos- jowly, obnoxious. Go away.
Josh- you're going to be fun.
Marra? The blond with the skinny top heavy face? You look like a muppet gone awry. Hate to be shallow- oh wait, no I don't. That's why I'm here.
Female project manager- you are an idiot. XXX flyers don't exactly inspire the average person to read them.
Find the helicopter? Kooky, and totally silly, but I ended up liking it.

I swore off after last season, it just seemed so boring, but here I am suckered in again.

I'm so pretty, oh so pretty, so pretty and witty and wise.....
Ugh, Melissa get over yourself. Sure Christy (?) messed up, that flier was terrible on many, many levels but you don't go off on Caroline on the first task telling her how terrible things are. They are right if you had been outside hawking the class instead of moaning and groaning you probably would have won!
Glad she went home. Christy won't win, but I won't have to listen to that shrew talk about how everyone hates her because she's pretty, self assured, intelligent, etc.
LOVE the scene of Caroline taking over for the day. Can't wait!
The intro did confuse me for a minute, thought Donald was trying to give Martha a run for her money in the touchy feely part. Oh and Good job letting, (feeling really bad, can't remember his name, though he is my favorite right now), the guy who's grandmother died to go to the funeral.
Oh and does anyone here expect that anyone will get exemption. Why would you vote to let someone else get a free pass when it could cost you a win.

This premiere really brought the meh. None of the contestants showed much promise but then again, we know the sure fire strategy for winning The Apprentice - Don't do too good or too bad, just coast along under the rader until the final 6 and then Trump will think you're awesome because everyone else has looked like an idiot.
I'm also really tired of M vs W.
I'm glad Trump flew the dude home who's grandmother died. Only good moment of the show. I like that guy. He's my pick to win. So he won't.

Marcus was hilarious.
I hated the gay guy's making a deal of his gayness already.
When the guys were choosing which gym to take on, the comment and the face one of them made when seeing that one of the gyms was in Spanish Harlem, left me with a sour taste...it reeked of a racism and elitism, IMO.
Melissa...what can I say?
She was unreal from the get-go: Shrill, abrasive and condescending, and even after being fired, she was excusing it by saying that it was all due to women being jealous of and threatened by her...(I thought she was all but gone, but then Carolyn mentioned how much she disliked the other girl's marketing stategy, and I thought that maybe Melissa wouldn't be fired after all...Trump has surprised us before...but melissa's mouth and vanity and dellusion was the death of hers.)
Good riddance, chula!

The opening race to the helicopter was so, so wrong. It's OK for something like the Amazing Race but for a show that ostensibly is about finding a good candidate for a serious business enterprise ... not so much. I wonder what they thought they would get from that exercise (shots of girls running in tight skirts is what I'm thinking).
The only things I know about golf are what I learn from listening to Wilbon and Kornheiser talk about it on PTI. So, do golf carts not go that fast? I thought for sure the golf cart would have a higher top speed than an average running human.
Gaah, we have another Jennifer M. this season.
Anyone else think it's kind of funny (as in ha, ha not weird) that the gay guy is named Clay?
Cool to see Elizabeth from The Apprentice 2 in that Bally's commercial.
It'll be interesting to see the ratings tomorrow. The Apprentice: Martha did poorly (I think 5.7 or something like that) so if this one opens weak as well, we might be looking at the beginning of the end for this show.

What a cast, that Apprentice bunch! There are very few people who cease to impress.
Melissa was the right choice to get the axe. She just could not shut up! Nag, nag, nag, nag, nag! I am so glad that Trump gave her the axe. However, I think that Carolyn was the one who subconsciously gave it to her. When Melissa said that she cannot work with women, Carolyn just had this look that said "Oh, really. Well, then I guess you won't be working with me!"
Josh got on my nerves because he seems to be the male Melissa, but he was spot on about Markus. Markus and his rambling had him digging his own grave with Trump.
I have the utmost respect for Randal. I cannot imagine being away from loved ones in the time of tragedy. I felt so sorry for him. He is truly courageous for honoring his grandparents' wishes.
Rebecca was giving me a Kendra vibe when she was explaining who should be fired and why in the boardroom. She was very articulate and succinct.

Oh, Boy, we're off and running ..... literally.
Ok, so let me get this straight, Mr. Trump: you can't tell people apart, so you group them together in such a way as to virtually ensure you'll have a hard time telling them apart?
And boo hissssss! on the foot race to the helicopter. I mean, men vs women, the women are all in high heels...and then you have them run!? Assy.
Randal: awwww. Sorry, dude. That musta been rough. But, (unlike Melissa) when faced with adversity, he sucked it up and still performed his best.
Marcus: Shut. Up. Though, as mentioned earlier, I lurved me the little toodling Bassoons of Buffoonery. Or: the Oboes of Ordinarity. (Yeah, I said it. I made up a new word. So what?) Also loved his use of the word "unpleased".
Melissa:

Letting them run (in high heels no less) across greens and fairways, driving the carts like maniacs with 5 people on board has got to be any greens-keepers nightmare. While I don't think the flier came off so great, the girls only lost by $11! That is not something Trump needs to be beating them down with. I do think I like Kristi- she kept calm and came off very well, especially compared to the bitch-fest that was Melissa. I also liked that she ONLY brought in Melissa to the boardroom with her- that was a beautiful, well-deserved firing. But, I wasn't crazy about the little smirk in the boardroom at the end- a little tacky, but I will let it go this time.

I thought it was pretty smart of her. From what we saw, there was pretty much no question that it was going to be either her or Melissa going. If everyone else pulled their weight, Kristi avoided pissing someone else off while at the same time asserting herself in front of the Donald, showing that she's ballsy and can hold her own. Plus, it didn't hurt that Melissa was going to shoot herself in the foot and all Kristi had to do was let her.

For a location that was apparently in a very bad neighborhood, the women's gym looked a bit nicer than the men's.
The gay guy thinks all of the girls will be falling over each other to be his best friend? Okay. That would be helpful possibly if he were actually on their team or something.
Carolyn looked as though she was itching to ask, "So then, big shot, am I intimidated?"
