Finally caught up with all the posts, now my thoughts on the episode...

Running for the helicopter? Funny, yes, but completely unfair. Maybe they should have tried weightlifting instead... just to make sure nobody has any advantage. I remember one of the former contestants saying that teams tend to go on winning or losing streaks, because the losers get to stress out about the boardroom while the winners get to rest between the tasks. I just thought it was embarrassing and stupid, and I don't understand why Trump went for it if he wants people to take the show and contestants more seriously.

Markus - I kinda felt bad for him, and I really really hated the rest of the men. They said that he should be the PM, then they blamed him for not wanting to be the PM, then they blamed them for being a bad PM, then they won but they gave zero credit to him. Sure he talked a bit too much to Trump but he was nervous and I can understand that. It was obvious that the other men noticed that he's digging himeself a hole, and they just kept quiet - I am sure as soon as they lose they'll turn on him as a bunch of sharks. Quite disgusting, I think.

Melissa - deserved to get fired, nothing much to say that hasn't been said already.

Kristi - something bugged me about the way that she asked Trumpy if she can take one person to the boardroom. It was good, both from strategy standpoint, and from the fairness standpoint (there was really nobody else to blame), but something about the little girl voice how she asked "daddy", "Can I please take one?" and his paternal way of saying "Suuuure" bugged. I think if it was Bradford, Trump would say Sure and then fire him for being stupid.

At the end I ended up liking the women's team much better than the men's team even though the women lost. I liked the fact that they did not scream that Melissa made them fear for their lives, but instead substantiated their arguments very well (particularly Alla and Rebecca). The men just sucked. Except for Randal. If I was playing the Fantasy game he'd definitely be my pick to win. If he crashes and burns halfway through the season, I might stop watching. For real this time.

Also, did anybody see the commercial for the "winning" Bally's class? And Elizabeth in the AWFUL! RED! "Billionaire in Training" T-shirt that's supposed to be a prize (or come for free, not sure, I had a few drinks by that time). I wouldn't wear that shirt if someone paid me... even at home... my cat would laugh at me.

Yikes! There's nothing worse than feline laughter . . .

Hee!

7. Rather than just voting on whether the PM should receive an exemption or not, I would opt to require the team to grant someone an exemption, but allow it to be anyone on the team. That would start a discussion on who was the MVP on the team. Some of the "reward" footage could be sacrificed in lieu of this feature.
Oh, Abso-freakin-lutely! And the prime example of that is the Wedding task, where Kelly stood back and let ... um ... whatsherface .... do all the work. They nailed the task, but not because of anything Kelly did. So, the team (if they had Option 7) could have voted to have whatsherface win exemption instead of the PM.

And that's? o.k.

I'm rather in favour of Randal because he seems both polite and competent. I considered backing him out of university solidarity, then remembered that, with five degrees, he'd have about half the world on his side if everybody took that view.

One rather jarring note, though, was the questioning of him after he got the phone call. "Whose mother was it?" is a strikingly irrelevant question, given that none of them know either of his parents and are never likely to.

It was a strange question (Whose mother was it?) but people often say silly or strange things when a very personal event is discussed among virtual strangers. People just don't know what to say, generally.

And the weasels ran. Ran like all hell was chasing them. Hilarious . . .
These people are dancing monkeys brought here for my entertainment. I say make them dance!
Now if we can only get them to stick their obsequious little heads through some holes so George and Carolyn can play 'Whack-A-Mole' with them....

I'd like to see the PM exemption gone completely - these people should be fighting to be PM to prove to Trump that they've got what it takes - even though being PM is a risk as well. If they don't want to be PM without it - that should tell Trump something.

Melissa was a complete idiot - but I do think they might have gotten more than twice as many in for a $10.00 class as a $20.00 class. The classes needed a lot more work - if you are going to pay for a one time class, you should get something. Make up an exercise chart with the routine being taught; give away some essential (and cheap) piece of equipment - something...

Marcus kinda looks like one of my uncles.... even to haircut.

Trump was nice to Randall, and the producers couldn't have predicted this happening. It's really nice not only to give him the time off, but to give him the helicopter to speed things up so he won't lose much time from the competition. I'd have also asked which grandmother - to be able to ask how his mother/father was holding up, etc.
I Q Too Much
Finally watched The Apprentice episode that I taped and must say that I would love to see more of George and Carolyn chewing out the mouthy candidates than see the ride in cab afterwards. Mouthy Melissa needed a kick in the head for announcing that she cannot work with women because they're all intimidated by her. Does she honestly think that women are afraid of her? Why can't she see that women dislike her because she's a boisterous, overopinionated, stuck-on-herself shrew that doesn't know when to shut-up? She hung herself in the boardroom, Kristi didn't even need to speak!
And for Kristi to advertise a triple X flyer and claim that porn never popped into her head is just not smart. Dimwit perhaps?

HATE it when I don't post the first night, then I have to read every page.... but finally it's done.

Totally agree!! Why aren't people fighting more to be PM??? Okay, it turned into strictly a blame the PM game, but if you really believe you have what it takes you'd fight to be PM every time, even if you lost, to prove yourself. DT doesn't back away from jack shit, good or bad, and you think these people would see that and step up. But what do I know, I'm just a lowly admin....

Wouldn't that be a fun season of Apprentice? Mid-level managers versus admin/secretaries??

I really liked that they gave Randall the chopper to get home for the funeral. And I thought it was very classy of Randall to say thank you not only to Trumpie, but to Carolyn and George by name on the way out as well.

Was hoping Melissa would get canned without even having a boardroom, it was so obvious that she needed to go. At least she's gone.

"at the end of the day"

Melissa is still doing it - just read an interview with tvguide.com that was published today - painful that I even read the interview...but there it was... "at the end of the day."

I so hate that phrase. It means absolutely nothing. And yet, there it is all over this ding-dang show.

That would be a great videogame! George and Carolyn would be rich. Trump could be the bonus mole. They'd probably buy that.
