The Futon Critic lists the show as having completed airing its current season (10 episodes).

eta: It is strange, I checked the IMDB to see the number of episodes for previous seasons (15) but for this year only 11 episodes (#1-10 and 15 the clip show). That may mean that episodes 11-14 will still come or they ended the season early.

That is really weird, because I could swear that they even showed previews for the upcoming Holly's family visit episode, right after the crap-tastic clip show. Does anyone else remember this?

Rumor from the street (wikipedia to be exact), is that 4 more episodes are slated to air in August, and a season 4 will start in December. But take it with a grain of salt.

Yes, apparently E! suddenly decided to put the show on hiatus for two months. The remainder of the season starts airing in August. Bridget's been rallying her fans (again) to complain to E! I didn't see the clip show but I definitely heard they were promoting a new ep with Holly's family.

Poor Bridget is afraid that her 15 minutes (and thus her Playboy ride) are over!

Keep in mind, the other 2 still have some time but for Bridget, every second counts 'cause she's aging as you're reading this. Even in the latest eps, she's looking so much more obviously older. Her skin tone doesn't look as good and her hair is looking like a ropey mess. I still think Bridget is 40+ and Ana is her daughter and the "mother" is her sister.

I think Bridget's really feeling the insecurities and panic of just being too old for this lifestyle. And watching an aging prostitute is not a pretty thing.

Yea, I know bridget said that they just came back from their trip to Alaska, maybe things went terribly wrong and the footage they were gonna use was from the trip and maybe now they can't, lol. Oh and by the way it was only the girls and Hollys parents, Hef did not go! and yea it sucks no more girls next door! WAH!

Not terribly hard, and I went to a school with a really good telecommunication program (Indiana U). I went out five nights a week and graduated with honors (this is mainly due to me being awesome, but a physics major it wasn't).
My current sociology master's program (thesis defense next week!) is way harder, and I'm sure my PhD will kick my ass. Bridget's program appeared to be the test-based kind, where no original research or work is done, which is automatically easier.

Regarding the Alaska episode,I thought that Hef said that it was going to be part of season 3 during his interview on Larry King. Remember when he said that he was going to be a lonely character since all of the girls would be gone for three days?

The E schedule just shows repeats as far I can see though so who knows? Maybe August is the continuation of the season?

Last night, I rewatched the episode where they go to San Diego to visit Kendra's family and if anything, the repeats are good to watch just for Holly's bitchface. She looked so bothered to be on the train, or in the living room, or wherever. And you could tell she thought it was awesome that she was calling Kendra out on not "being from the ghetto", because it was brought up twice. But the whole thing was all about Kendra, and at least Bridget was trying to have some fun. Holly... was not.

Even though it's always talked about and one starts to become desensitized (just a little!) to the age difference, I still squirmed a little again upon rewatching when Kendra's mom addresses that Hef is as old as Kendra's grandfather. And then the two men shake hands, and it's just... squicky. And then Kendra's shows Hef her prom picture (which is, of course, very recent) on her wall and says, "This is the guy I broke up with for you." I get the shudders. Oh yeah and the home movie from 10 years prior, so that would make Hef in his 70's and Kendra in her... 10's? 11's? Ugh weird.

Ohmigawd! In that scene, Hef went directly to Pedophile-ville!!!!!


The weird thing is he does that same sort of Pedophile Corner thing in the magazine - where the centerfold girl's profile includes childhood photos. It's like Hef's monthly shout out to all the molesters out there..."Hey guys! Jacking off to our centerfold?? Here - jack off to these childhood photos of her as well!"

I have been wondering this lately, I know we talk a lot about Kendra and Holly not getting along, or Holly feeling threated by her. Bridget and Holly seem to be best friends. But I haven't seen a lot of interaction between Bridget and Kendra. What kind of relationship do they have? Any ideas out there?

When Bridget was sobbing over the Playboy pictorial, Kendra went to comfort her. I don't think they're BFF but they don't seem to hate each other.

You really sense the jealousy that Holly feels for the other two when theyre not talking to the camera (which by the way makes Holly sound even more fake), when there's something happening like a party - and we catch Holly making a face somehow in the background. I always try to look for those moments.

I NEVER see Holly making a bitchface! I don't know if it's just me, but I really try to look for those moments when she's spending time with her Puffin and the other girls just walk in and interrupt them. The only bitchy thing that Holly has said outright is that Bridget was too pudgy for the cover shot of Playboy.

I've realized that Kendra is now my favorite (Bridget used to be, now she's just pathetic!) because she seems genuinely kind and down-to-earth and I love her family. She seems really close with them.

The horseback riding episode when they were having lunch at the restaurant had Holly making some of the best b*tchfaces ever

After not having cable since Sunday, I watched one of last night's repeats (I really needed a late night TV fix!) in which the gals gave some girl (Anastacia) a "make over". Gah! She looked like Bridget! That certainly was a waste of time... yeah, how tacky was it to give her those fake boob inserts, anyway?

Don't hate me, but I think Anastacia looked pretty as a blonde. It wasn't that "children of the corn" white blonde but a warmer shade.

The tacky thing about the fake boobs was giving them to her at a diner and expecting her to insert them there. Well, that and sort of backhanded trashing how she looks on national TV.

Kendra is the GND I'd miss the least if she moved on. In the MND episode they played last night, she really sounded like she wasn't caught up in the lifestyle so much anymore and really could leave and be fine. What I think she likes is the partying and the connections she can make, but the rest is probably getting old (not to make a bad pun).

I thought Anastasia looked great and it just goes to show how many of us could look that hot with enough makeup, extensions, etc. However, I will say that she had the great body in the first place, which you can't fake (except for the boobs).

From what I have observed, Hef is way too much of a micromanager to have let an assistant do anything without his approval. I actually stongly suspect that Hef does a lot of his own writing since at the beginning of it all, wasn't he a journalist? I love that he even suggests the author shoudl write a longer article for other publications! That's what makes me think it wasn't just a form letter.

I'm surprised Hef wasn't offened by the writer's attitude towards him, namely the part where she seems to ridicule him for having his heart broken by his ex-wife and suggests it might be justice. I must say, I didn't find the article flattering to anyone. I also don't think she delved far enough into the show's appeal to women, she took a brief stab at it, but nothing incisive. I've read better articles from women's magazines. I don't think this writer is up to the standard of The New Yorker or the Times.

When I saw the Anastasia makeover episode repeat last night, I noticed that at certain points Bridget seemed to feel a little threatened with her younger sister receiving the makeover.

I hadn't noticed this before but after one of the posters here noted that Bridget was competitive with her sister when she was picking up that new dog in Atlanta, either for camera time or the dogs affections, it kind of got me thinking. And with Anastasia being younger yet able to look a whole lot like Bridget, it must make the older one insecure. After all, Bridget is not dating a one woman man!

Especially on Hef. They make him look like he's one of the residents shuffling along the hall of the nursing home. They actually make him appear more elderly and feeble.

Old people do look cute when they dress up- think Grandma in a formal dress at your cousin's wedding. However, it's cute in a "look at that puppy" way, not an "I want a piece of that" way.

Hey everyone! I'm stepping out of longtime lurkdom here because I have solid info on Bridget for you all, and I feel bad for not having shared it already.

So Bridget? Really is the age she says she is. For sure. My boyfriend grew up in Lodi, CA and went to high school with her. He graduated in '94 and said she was a year or two from him in school, although he doesn't remember her personally (said she was nothing special back then- which, was really surprising to hear from him because I know he was quite the jock-y player guy back in the day, and would have probably thought anything with legs and a rack was mesmerizing.) Anyhow, he also says she is married to someone named Chad, and that right now he is serving time in Iraq. (Or has been up to recently- when the bf wakes up, I'll ask him again to confirm.)

Also, he says she actually grew up in a town outside of Lodi called A Campo and was annoyed that the entire "Grapes of Wrath" episode, Bridget kept plugging the name "Lodi," and not the name of her own town. Apparently, this is a common feeling among Lodi-ans- sort of a small town thing where they don't want the even smaller, crappier town down the road to tarnish their image by claiming residency. I guess most of his friends and other folks in the community are annoyed by Bridgets proclomation of Lodi heritage as well, and its not a secret that she's really a (shudder) A Campo girl. Ha!

For the record I said several times that she looks 33-34. I really never understood how anyone thought she was in her 40's. She looks like a typical 34 year old to me. It's just that most women on tv in their 30's have already had some plastic surgery and it looks like Bridget has not. She may have fake boobs but her face doesnt' look botoxed or like she had a lift. And I think that is why people think she's older. The other girls obviously have had something done to their face. Kendra looks like she's full of botox every time she laughs and her face doesn't move.

Her husband is in the military? I thought that was her brother? Didn't we hear that the husband owned a clothing store?

Ah, so when I woke the boyfriend, he said that what I was supposed to say was that her brother is in the military (Ed Sandmeier) and was once a mortician and that her husband is actually an attorney (that must be Chad.)

Great on the Bridget info. I'd love to find out an insider perspective on how he feels. I can't imagine having my husband be some hideous old woman's stud, and to have that fact be broadcasted to the world on TV. This Chad must either not care too much about his wife, or really, really cares about money.
