It seems to me, from the footage (and we all know that isn't the most reliable source) that the girls don't spend a whole, whole lot of private time with Hef. And he seems to keep all of them--even Holly--at arm's length. Sure she has her little stuff that she does but I don't see that romantic closeness with any of them. For example, does Hef only do the quick peck on the mouth? I've always wondered if he's ever REALLY kissed any of them. I could see it happening with Kendra maybe. And I could see Holly trying to suck Hef's face off. Bridget not so much. But then again, perhaps Hef just isn't into PDA.

That could be. But if you think about it, this has to be THE UNsexiest show on TV. And it's about PB, which is supposed to signify sex. They completely avoid talking about sex and never show anything even remotely about sex. Not that I want to see any of Hef's sexcapades -- YEECHH! But if it weren't for Izzie's book, I'd think nothing was going in that mansion except sleeping.

Are there ever any references to sex? Once in a while Kendra might -- just might -- mention that a guy is hot. And she's said a few times this season what a great boyfriend Hef is. And I think Bridget said a guy was cute once. Holly wouldn't do that 'cause she doesn't look at anyone under 80 and she doesn't refer to Hef as her boyfriend.

I'm not very impressed with the new Playmate of the Year. What happened to that dark haired girl from season one? She was in the same episode during season one with this new Playmate of the Year. She should have been picked. She was gorgeous.

Am I alone in these thoughts?...Hef, for an octogenarian or for ANY age, is still a thorough, mature, and businesslike man in his operations with his enterprise. I am surprised to see how much he still does with PB and how cool and collected he seems to be with the business and with everyday matters (what we see on TV, anyway!)

Bridget doesn't bother me; she actually seems genuinely nice (although I can't see that she has enough brains to get her through grad school but apparently she did?).

Holly tends to grate me...Someone else here wrote "Does she pee around Hef's bed to mark her territory?" and that had me ROFL. So accurate!

My fave is Kendra. She's laid back and not catty, and doesn't seem to buy into all the stuff the other girls do. I love that her mom and grandmom are so supportive of her; you always think that for a girl to seek out attention in a way that may look exploitative as far as her body goes, she must not have been raised with support around her.

As a side, I knew a Playboy model in the early 90s, she was the girlfriend of someone I worked with. Aside from being pretty with a smokin' figure, she was smart and very kind. I keep thinking of her when my mind wants to categorize the Playmates in any way. :)

I was happy that Sara got PMOY. Even thought I thought that the brunette that went to the golf course with Kendra would get it. I think that Sara is very pretty in an understated way, she's very all-american, what's so wrong with that? Who said PMOY had to be exotic? I think that there has been a good mix of all different shapes, sizes, hair colors, etc. it was nice to see the true girl next door get. I think she was perfect. And she seemed like such a sweetheart and very modest.

If you didn't know any better, besides the occasional references to Hef being their boyfriend, you'd think he was their grandfather. An icky one but he seems more grandfatherly towards them through his actions than anything.

Umm..I'd say most of the Playmates are bleach blond 'plasticine' GND types. The exotic brunette is rare, as Hef prefers blonds. Just a matter of opinion, as most remember that particular brunette as being 'naturally' drop dead gorgeous.

I finally read Jill Ann's book via the blogspot link a few pages back. Hey, it filled up some work time. Although parts of it were semi-interesting, most of it was "I got into this party, met this celeb and my bf waited in the car."

There is a huge, really candid article about The Girls Next Door (with interviews with Hef and the girls) in the new issue of Elle (Jessica Beil is on the cover). I think everyone here would LOVE it. The author mentions how Holly can barely tolerate Kendra, how Holly is delusional in her dreams of marrying Hef, and so on.

I saw the V-Day and PMOY episodes again last night. Maybe I'm boring, but I thought the dominos game looked kind of fun. If they did that every single night, I'd be bored, but they obviously don't. I'm 22, and I'll admit to playing board games in my PJs with family or friends on a weekend night from time to time. I kind of thought it was sweet that he was actually spending quality time with them when they weren't functioning as arm candy. (shrug)

I've never associated it with childbirth, but it's just a sign of extra weight and weak lower abs. We see it alot where I live, with a high number of older women wearing clothes that are meant for girls in their 20's. That's exactly what we had with Bridget on the Vegas show: she was dressed way too young.

Regarding Bridget's age and looks, I've said it before and I'll say it again, only in Hugh's fucked up world would Bridget look old and heavy. My God she's forty something years younger than Hef and people think she looks "old"? I realize she looks older than the other girls but that is Hugh's fault for only being attracted to fetuses.

The thing that makes Bridget look old, fat, etc. is how she is always inappropriately dressed with the tummy shirts, pigtails, etc for someone in her 30's. They really make her look "Baby Jane-ish" to me.

I've heard that rumor about Ana being Bridget's daughter, but I don't believe it. There was never any source other than the rumors that Bridget was lying about her age, and seemed to have started as a joke. Ana got really upset when she was asked, and denied it. She is her half-sister, btw (from her mother and stepfather).

Has any proof been given by anyone that Ana is Bridget's daughter? Are birth certificates public records? If they are, then someone could check Lodi town hall & whatever that other CA town the family lived in to see who is listed on the birth certificate. I can't see any reason Bridget would lie about Ana being her daughter if she was. I mean, it's not like she's some goody two shoes church girl. She's a playboy bunny sharing an old man. I doubt she's so prude that she thinks having a daughter would tarnish her image. I just can't see lying about that.

I agree that the way she dresses is awful. Her pink room is really...odd. As soon as I hit 12 or13, I didn't want a little gir's room anymore and here she is in her 30's acting like 10 year old. Which makes her relationship w/ Hef all the more creepy. It's like she knows he likes the younguns so she figures she's almost over the hill in Hef's world. If she keeps herself looking as much like a little girl as possible, Hef will still want her. I'm convinced that if there was no age of consent, Hef would date 14 year olds if he could.

I don't think she would be concerned that having a daughter would tarnish her image, it's how old Anastacia is. That's not to say that I think Anastacia is her daughter. I just think that if she were, I believe that Bridget doesn't admit it because she doesn't want to admit to having a child that old.

The pink room wouldnt even be so bad if it was an adult room. The stuffed bears on the doll sofa, the crib, the Ikea childrens wardrobe would be just as bad in a blue room. Kendra's room is the only one that is close to being age appropriate. When I was her age, my room was a mess too. And Holly is sleeping in that fire trap.

As far as Bridget's age, she claims to be a few weeks younger than me. No way, no how. Granted I get told all the time I look very young, but even compared to my group of friends she looks old. I would blame it on the playboy lifestyle, but sitting around the house playing dominoes with grandpa and planning dates for the dogs cant be that taxing.

I could see Anastacia as being Bridgett's. She seems like that girl that thought having a baby would be so fun. But then she had the baby and realized there is a whole lot more to motherhood than matching mother/baby outfits. I can see Anastacia being Bridget's as well. Birdget just screams lost-little-girl-with-shady-past to me. Something is going on there, whether it was a pregnancy at 14 (or younger), getting molested/raped... something happened to her that wasn't a good thing. Stripping while your step father is there? There was nothing more gratifying than hearing the quote about Holly not being beautiful until she got her nose done read aloud. One interesting thing is they mentioned Bridget is 33- I'm surprised, I thought we'd never get to know her true age.

I posted this idea, too (though, in itself, this is no evidence that she is Bridget's daughter)...but they don't sound like names the same mother would come up with. Okay, I'm just going to put this out there and accept any backlash that results from it. As far as we know, Bridget is the only GND that has not gone under the knife in any way. And, yes, she's 34. But seriously, if I had her body I'd be thrilled! She's not a rail, she's not plastic, she's a woman with a very healthy looking body (I was going to say that she was normal, but that would have been incorrect). Even though her choice of costumes is questionable, I believe her to be an attractive girl. I will say that she could easily find a much hotter and more age-appropriate boyfriend, though!

I agree. I think that Bridget is fine for what she is. It's what she may be pretending to be that's not really vibing well. Bridget's age, whatever it may be, is at least obvious in comparison to the other girls. Also with her body type. I think she looks amazing for mid 30's-early 40's or whatever she is. I don't even think she's strange or weird for the babydoll stuff. Overall, I think it's just kind of sad for the most part, because obviously it's stemming from somewhere. Even if she didn't have a crazy past, it's got to be hard for her to try to fit in with the other girls and that lifestyle. I know it's her choice, but sometimes you get in so deep, you either convince yourself that you're OK or you don't know where or how to get out. However, I'm still conflicted about Bridget, because despite the conditions of her life, I still think there is something kind of bizarre about her. I feel so torn about the way she is shown on the show.

However, I can say that I'm so over Holly. The Cribs was just on with the Playboy mansion and I had it on mute (deep philosophical conversation with the boyfriend over beers was going on but I kept peeking a glimpse since I've never seen it) and I thought Holly just looked desperate laying all over the bed or trying to be in every shot.

I don't buy that Bridget is only 33, hasn't she been thirty-three since the show started? when kendra was 20 and now Kendra is almost 23!!!! How come Bridget and Holly never get old?
