Dude, I had a Hello Kitty pen and paper set in about '84. It rocked my world at the time. The set contained teeny weeny little writing implements but man, oh man, the pink ink and stupid paper was the shizz. The image of Hello Kitty on some skanky stripper-fied undergarments is just wrong. On that note, the next time I'm at my local Hustler store I will so be looking for it. Does that make me wrong?
Edited for.....Oh, and btw, if memory serves--the paper and pens were scented.

Considering the girls' and Hef's ongoing fascination with Arby's and KFC, I guess Holly possibly once working at Sonic isn't such a huge stretch...they're lovin' the fast food over at the Mansion!
Which sorta makes me strangely envious---must be nice to have a rock hard body with foobs that still looks good with a steady fast food diet. Again though, perhaps the rumored lipo treatments are indeed a fact. Or Holly really is supposedly bullimic, as JillAnne hinted at in her book...

Speaking of product placement, you know what I am surprised about? I am totally surprised they don't talk about condoms regularly. I mean I know they don't use them but shouldn't they of all groups endorse them? It would be such an obvious product endorsement. Its almost conspicuous in its absence, and gives credence to the rumor that they go without.

The director of operation just so happened to be there. Very contrived. But they are an sponsor. It was funny when Julie popped up there too.
I believe Sprinkles has a deal with them too.
I like that the girls have a carefree attitude about their diet though. I think it's good for viewers to see girls with awesome bodies like Kendra (who eats fried chicken in many episodes) and Bridget (who loves sweets) can eat and workout normally. That is one of my favorite aspects of the show.
Is it just me or are they more heavy on the sexual innuendos this season?
Yeah, I noticed it too. INHO in the beginning they just wanted to emphasize the normalcy and wholesomeness of the "relationships" and character develop in seasons 1 and 2. The sexual stuff I guess is shown to remind viewers how desirable the girls and Hef are meant to be?
This hasn't been mentioned but did you guys notice Kendra had no part of the christmas charity? Holly called Bridget down to wrap their presents and they arranged the delivery.

I always knew that Holly and Kendra really hated each other, but I think this episode really makes it clear. Holly arranges for everyone's costume, and gives Bridget an awesome costume to match her own, but hands Kendra a busted Snow White costume? Pretty clear message sent there, eh?
But then Kendra accidently sits in Holly's cake. A slightly clearer message there, eh? The look on Holly's face after that was absolutely priceless.

I totally see that- more than Holly just smirking about how sex is the only exercise she gets, maybe this season will feature a full-blown discussion of the baby oil. Hey, maybe that's what Holly means when she coos 'baby love' at Hef! Cause he sure as hell isn't a baby!
This episode pissed me off so much- how is a dethroned and executed queen consort a good theme for a fucking party! Next, will there be a color themed party, Khmer rouge, perhaps? Plus, Marie Antoinette was not the last queen of France. Not even counting empresses, post-revolution there were queen consorts, and kings during the continuation of the reign of the Capetian dynasty (both the Bourbon and Vendome branches). I believe Louis XIX was the last, but I'm not sure
And M.A. was not even French, queen of France, yes, but she was Austro-Hungarian by birth. Of course, I don't expect Holly to know shit about history, but still. I'm all about the European history, but disregarding the factual errors, it's still somewhat of a ghastly theme in my mind.
Also, is Hefner completely unable to deviate from his routine of movies and other old peopleactivies even for one day? I thought Holly was fighting the butler about when to air the movie on her birthday?
As for Holly's gift- why did she even bother snooping if she asked for it, and probably gave specific orders and to what she wanted? And of course, everything must be Playboy themed! Do these women use tampons with bunnies on them? If they cry, do they wipe away their tears with bunny-printed tissues? Are their implants filled with wee silicone bunnies?
I love how Holly bought her 'friends' costumes, yet neglected to get Kendra anything, other than a cheap-ass hand me down Snow White getup. Then her look at poor Kendra after she accidently sat on the cake? Pure evil.
Finally, are these idiotic hos incapable of going anywhere without a passel of yappy dogs? Another child-woman thing that I JUST DON'T GET.

DEAD at this. I noticed it too. I was like why the hell did she get the girl a snow white costume? And it wasn't even a good costume either like the ones from Trashy or whatever. Holly looked like she wanted to KILL Kendra when she heard that she sat on the cake.
Was I the only one that was pissed that HOlly was trying to get dude to tell Hef to change the movie time? The poor dude was trying to explain that he couldn't tell Hef what to do and Holly kept pushing it. I was like, why the hell is she trying to get eh poor man fired??

I thought this episode had the most obvious moments of the dislike amongst the girls. The fact that Kendra waited until that day to get her outfit and didn't really care about getting it showed her disregard for Holly's birthday, which was pretty funny. And then the sitting on the cake was well, the icing on the cake. I hope that they keep this up, because it's so entertaining.
I did really like the costume that Holly had on. I thought it was kind of cute, but her bleach job is just horrible. And I still can't believe that she's the same age as me. There's just no way.

I almost choked to death tonight. Thank you for that visual! Wee little bunnies....
I am seriously annoyed by everything having the playboy theme though. Enough is enough. My kid works at Best Buy. That's wonderful, and the employee discount is wonderful. But after you've gotten your thirtieth electronic-related gift, it gets old. I told him for her birthday he absolutely HAD to buy his girlfriend a present that is unattainable at Best Buy. Just on principle, to prove he cares enough to buy without the damn discount. He was a good boy and got her a saddle (she rides equestrian, so that was a good gift for her).
And that's what bugs me about the playboy gifts. There's just not enough thought, money, and effort that goes into playboy branded gifts. If you give someone a present you should have to make some effort and thought about it. They say it's the thought that counts. Yes, it is. Exactly.

Supposedly she's 21 or 22...now think about most gals at that age.
Goofy theme parties with your 80-year-old 'boyfriend' and his equally loony girlfriends and plastic surgeried out harem isn't exactly the highlight of fun and action for ANYONE at that age, I'd assume.
Holly's hair is AWFUL this season, btw!!!
Her interview segments this episode just showed what a lifeless mop her formerly well-styled hair has suddenly become, which is oddly unsettling for someone who seems so otherwise polished...
How is it that Kendra's hair isn't looking nearly as offensively white as before, but Holly's is? Perhaps she thinks Hef will like her better if she goes even white blonder than Kendra??
Also, it's weird how Holly and Hef never seem to kiss on the mouth...I mean, I know they've been together for five years or more now, but I just figured most loving couples didn't ALWAYS smooch cheek-first.

She's really all over Holly and went all out for her gifts, then picked out and decorated Hef's. How romantic for Holly.

That snow white costume looked like something Holly found in a pile of crap they were throwing out. And her saying it was "Chargers Colors" was too funny. That costume didnt even match the theme...
And I cant believe that Kendra didnt think of buying an outfit or a gift earlier. I guess with the sucess of the GND she knows they aren't going to get rid of her.

Was that a small price to pay to have Kendra look ridiculous? Sigh. If only I could get into the mind of Holly.

Either on Holly's myspace or group was an
old pic of her in the costume with a black Snow White wig. (She's had a thing for Disney and Disney princesses for her entire life. I remeber the pic well because I assumed she
had been Snow White at Disney and was corrected)

Serious word to this. Everything from the charity idea and wrapping to the horsebacking riding is decided by Holly. Bridget cowtows to her. Kendra just tries to put her own spin on everything or jokes.
Kendra effortlessly was chosen to be a girlfriend, is very independant, and is the youngest. Holly and Bri have to work hard and might be jealous.

Yes! She also had that bad haircut when she was going through the obsessed-with-Marilyn-Monroe phase. I always thought she stood out among the other girls, but not in a good way. It's like "one of these things is not like the other!"
I also liked when Holly told Kendra she had an outfit for her. Kendra seemed genuinely surprised and said something like, "That's really nice of you." Like it was unexpected. But, seriously, what was with that outfit? I thought it was definitely a loaner, but then she said she bought costumes for all of the guests so they fit the theme, so why wouldn't she check with Kendra to see if she had something? She obviously coordinated with Bridget and I'm sure they spent tons of time on their outfits. Weird.

It could be the same as in the case of the Bunny costume episode. OMG, you could see the look of disappointment on their faces as the night grew on, realizing that this was just a small 'dress-up' get together for Holly's birthday, instead of a typical Hef bash. They were obviously waiting for the celebs to come, and they never did. Thing is, they won a contest and the prize was an invite to an 'event' at the PB Mansion. I find that really crappy of Hef, or whoever decided that Holly's boring B-Day would be the 'event'. Were they not good looking or famous (in some way, shape for form) enough to attend a real PB mansion shindig? Remember, people who are not famous, and/or have never been to a bash there, have to send photos in for a

The fact that this was the event they were given the "honor" to attend was bad enough, but having them eating by themselves at a little table for two? The prize might as well have been "get dressed up in halloween costumes to eat dinner at a table next to Hef and entourage."
I also found the fact that Holly not getting Kendra a real costume a bit confusing. Yes, they probably hate each other but Holly obviously knew her party was going to be on television. Thoughts:
Kendra did pretty well with her costume considering she was working from her closet. It wasn't period, but it was close enough not to be too jarring with the other girls. She seriously needs to stop wiggling her ass in the mirror though. Sometimes I think the girl is just brain-damaged or something. That much ignorant cluelessness doesn't occur in nature, right?
The staff donned wigs and tried to cooperate with the theme. The girls and guests made an effort. Hef? Not even a nod in that direction. He just wore his same old smoking jacket/robe thingy as though it were just any other day. He is very old so perhaps that is a result of his age and limitations. I wonder if the younger Hef would have made more of a personal effort on Holly's behalf, or perhaps he was always so used to having the upper hand in male-female relationships that he doesn't consider it important for him to make significant gestures. It's always about him, what he wants, what he needs. The girls get crumbs that he feels like throwing their way. Good crumbs, but crumbs nevertheless.
I can't believe Holly introduced that couple to 'Hef, or Puffin!'
Kendra knew the cake was there. That was no accident.
On the one hand it was a gyp that the couple didn't get to go to a major event. On the other hand, they were present for a much more intimate and privileged event that almost no one is invited for, and that was special. I guess it's up to the couple how they choose to view their event. I'd like, personally, to have been at the more intimate event where there was more interaction with the playmates, girlfriends, and Hef. And they weren't the only people at side tables, so it wasn't as isolated as I had feared it would be. But it would have been nice to seat them at the main table.

Sadly, Holly is just that catty and pathetic enough to demonstrate her "power". I would love to see Hef develop a "romantic" relationship with Kendra or Bridget (as sickening as that may be) and watch the jealousy boil over with Holly. It would make for a great few episodes. Let's make a list of things Holly could/should have wished for:
- a boyfriend within 20 years of her age
Doubtful he'd have the money to support her in the style to which she has become accustomed. The 40 year olds with Hef's money want a different look/style than Holly.
- a man who will not insist that she hang out with his other girlfriends and pretend like she likes it
Again, most of those men aren't going to let you live in their huge mansion and do whatever you want. I could compromise a lot on monogamy if it meant I didn't have to go to work and got to live at the Playboy Mansion.
- to have sex without wiping baby oil off an 80-year-old's dick
*shrug* I think it's a fair trade. She does that, she gets the lifestyle.
-a decent dye job
I suspect that's dictated by Hef. Remember she has said in interviews that she looks like his physical ideal now...she didn't start that way. She conformed to what he wants. Maybe he likes the platinum.
-a hit out on Kendra
OK, that much would make me happy as a viewer. I cannot stand Kendra. Next to Kendra, Bridget and Holly really do look classy and highly intelligent.

I think its interesting that this season Kendra seems totally segregated from the other girls. We have seen Holly and Bridget do lots of activities together but every time Kendra is in a scene she is on her own (cleaning her room, getting ready for Holly's bday party, etc). Bridget didn't even take her to see Holly's golf cart birthday present. She took some other random playmate. The only time we have seen the three girls together is when they are making appearances at parties or when they HAVE to be together like on Christmas eve. I wonder if there is going to be some drama between Kendra and the other girls later this season because things definitely seen tense now.
