ITA with everyone about the issue of wearing those outfits in a place you know will be filled with very young children. Tasteless.

In the girls' defense, however, one must keep in mind that the amount of bleach in their hair has undoubtedly affected their already diminished mental capacity. They seem to think they are American royalty (as delusional as we find it) and think that everyone adores them or wants to BE them. They don't understand that outside their small legion of fans, most people find them to be nothing more than offensive skanky bimbettes. And even most of their "fans" would never duplicate their lifestyles since the majority of people have way too much self respect.

They are people who see nothing wrong with what they're doing. To them, they are doing something we "all want to do". Because we all want to sleep with the crypt keeper.

If it was a planned photo op, then they should have informed the patch owners and had some type of sign posted that there would be risque type clothing/situations that day.

Has anyone else had the wonderful experience of going Hollyween shopping with your kids and coming face to face with Kendra and Bridget in the Playboy Costume display? I have to admit...Kendra's "Sexy Gangsta" costume wasn't half bad, but Bridget! She's like this tragic child trapped in the declining body of a 30-something concubine.

Why yes, just today. I'm just thankful that I had my 3 year old with me and not my 7year old. I will say, I am now a bit scared to take them to the pumpkin patch. I'll just keep reminding myself that I live on the other side of the country.

There are only three reasons why Kendra must've stayed home from the pumpkin patch:

1) It was during the day and cut into her sleeping time.
2) She knew there wasn't going to be any hot rappers or professional athletes there.
3) Duh... she already used her costume of the "Go to hell!" t-shirt she wore during last year's Halloween outing (the one where they went to "haunted" places around LA/LA-area). (Plus, don't you remember how unexcited she was during that episode's pumpkin carving and then how she fucked it up anyway?)

Notice none of those reasons involved good sense.

glad to see that Kendra made it into a video! more surprised that she isn't/wont be in the Eminem song "Shake that", the lyrics sound like he wrote it for her! and I wouldn't be shocked in Eminem wanted a piece of that...his wife/ex/wife/ex Kim is sort of Kendra-esque (bleached blonde). seems to be what he goes for.

while I am sometimes a fan of some of Eminem's music, I don't know if I would automatically assume he would reject Kendra because of rumors of what goes on in Puffin's bed. I mean, the man married, divorced, remarried and then re-divorced his ex (a woman who had a drug problem and attemted suicide), raps about killing her & about raping his mom among other things...plus, I don't know that any of the other "video hos" are much cleaner than kendra would be, you'd think SOMEONE would try to get with her....

I think Kendra has the body I would most like to have. Bridget looks the most real (in terms of body), and Holly could be even prettier without the bleached straw hair and 10 lbs of makeup--she also gets the prize for most delusional. Hopefully these girls get a cut of the profits, they'll need something to support them after they are evicted from the mansion, I mean Hef won't live forever (as we've all been saying)

I think Holly's the prettiest, or would be, if she took off all the make-up. But I like Bridget the best. Kendra was cute for a while, but now she just kind of bugs me. I'm sure she's bored with the whole set-up, and it is a creepy sort-of world of pretend, but if you're going to live there, you kind of have to play along.

Okay, who will admit to watching tonight?

I really liked this episode. It talked a lot about the relationships between Hef and the girls, and I'll be damned if Holly actually seems to love him. Crazy. All in all, I was semi-impressed at how realistic she seemed to be in interviews tonight. There seemed to be a minimal amount of engagement and baby blathering, which I was expecting.

Didn't understand the logic of "It's easier to completely recreate a restaurant here (involving a trip for the chefs to go taste all the food) than to drive an hour and a half to just go there." But whatever. In their bizarre universe, I'm sure it is.

Sad to see that cute Sarah from season one has made it into the circle of regulars...she was so cute and I was hoping she'd remain uncorrupted.

And finally, Holly buys Hef tropical fish (fairly expensive), and he buys her a single red rose. WTF? $1.99 at the gas station, anyone? It even came with baby's breath.

I was glad to see that Dr. Drew wasn't charmed by the Girls Next Door. Holly made me cry. That's the first time she ever cried on the show.

There was a really clear shot of Hef when he was talking to Kendra about the Eminem situation, and gosh he looks horrible. At least he could whiten his teeth. They don't even look yellow, they look green and brown.

I noticed the teeth. I figured he's lucky to still have them all and not be dentures. Holly crying was the high point of the episode, in a bizarre way. I really saw her human side, but then the first thought that came to mind was,"Is she thinking, my days here are numbered? Women don't stay too long here!". And that was sad.

You know, the longer I watch, the more it seems Hef keeps all three around because, like I was telling my friend the other day, "You really can't get everything you need from just one person." (Note- I wasn't talking about cheating. Just how people in your life are usually varied, because one's a good listener, one's wild and crazy, one is really blunt, ect) He gets all the adoration and affection and a sort of "mothering" from Holly, he gets his laughs and stays young with Kendra, and Bridget's that crazy friend who always has the elaborate ideas and parties and gives you the best presents because she really listens to people. I don't know. Holly and Bridget sort of compliment each other and at this point are more like one super girlfriend rather than two. Hef just puts them all together in one house and fucks them all, where most of us would just keep them as friends.

WTF was Holly wearing to the anniversary dinner?? A silver sequined bra and a shirt opend to the crotch? That was supposed to be a complete outfit?

And Hef is so taken with Holly that he can't even be bothered to leave the house to take her out to dinner. And Hef wants to dip Holly in cheese??? Honey, she's already swimming in it.

I hate having something in coommon with Holly, but I have had the hots for Dr. Drew for years, too. Wonder what Dr. Drew would think about their sexual habits? He has talked on his show before about women caving into anal sex because of their boyfriends and about the importance of using condoms.

Remember...Hef brings all his own food to the restaurant. So it probably is easier to bring the restaurant to the mansion.

Did anyone else catch that Bridget said something to the effect of "As long as Holly and Hef welcome me, I want to be a part of this as long as I can." I remember thinking BS, as long as Hef welcomes you, you'll be here, because Holly wants you and Kendra gone five years ago.

I love Elvira and loved her subtle snarking (her reaction and eye rolls to things like Bridget's pink room and saying that Holly and Bridget were going to jump to their deaths off of the balcony in the prescence of her beauty). LOL!!!

I could tell that she was weirded out by Kendra's sleazily, sapphic flirting:

Elvira (after awkward silence with Kendra): ...where are the other girls? This is the Playboy mansion, isn't it?

Kendra: I'm all you need. (followed by annoying braying/laughing)

Also, Hef's line of "easy come, easy go" was a bit more telling than Holly would probably like to admit to herself.

Granted "Elvira"/Cassandra Petersen was in full make-up/costume/character, she is still amazing for 60 years old compared with what the GND will probably look like at that age.

On a plus side, I did think the Halloween decorations were very creative and cool and props should be given to the Mansion staff.

Also, what is going to be on the Playboy Haloween Party DVD?

The mansion did look great! I especially liked the life sized Crypt Keeper--what that was Hef? Darn!

Last night was the first episode I watched since I started "Bunny Tales" and I also finished the book last night. It was almost as if the episode was created for the readers. The way Holly mentioned hating the big group, Bridget mentioning getting in good with Holly to date Hef, Holly mentioning that she recruited the other two, the fact that she prefers Hef to stay home to keep the group small, the inclusion of the anniversary, etc. I watched that episode with a totally new set of eyes and I'm not sure I liked it as much.

You know, kind of random, but I really hope the mansion staff gets paid well, or wonderful benefits, or a huge holiday bonus or something. That one guy that was the bikini hunter a few episodes back and the waiter tonight? Deserves a medal for what he puts up with. I'd totally date him, just because he must have the patience of a saint.

I think that one butler they always show answering the phones- you know the one who was all, "Sir, now you're pretending to be your own father!" is kinda hot. I'd totally date him.

So, out of boredom/curiosity, I just perused the bonus footage on E's website. There's an interesting interview with the GND--when the interviewers asked them where they'd be in 5 or 10 years, Bridget said something to the effect of, "Holly will still be here, and I'll still be coming over to visit, but I'll probably have moved on by then." I always knew she had a good head on her shoulders, despite the editing to the contrary! Interestingly, they have an interview with Hef where he only responds to relationship questions with answers about Holly...saying he's been waiting for a relationship with someone like Holly for a long time, etc. Seems to me like it's a pretty well established fact around the mansion that Bridget and Kendra are, well, disposable. Hmm.

Did they show Kendra's answer to this? (I already know what Holly's would be.)

That does ring a bell but I can't recall where I first learned that or any of the details. Was it on their whirlwind tour of NYC?

The one instance I remember was during their "club night" but I don't remember the name of the restaurant they went to. I think he had pork chops brought in for him and then we were subjected to his spastic dance moves yet again.

I hear ya there! I don't know what it is about that Dr. Drew, but I've had a crush on him since he had the show on MTV. They didn't show many comments from him on this episode. I could just tell he was trying not to roll his eyes when Holly was talking about her relationship with Hef.

IIRC, she was silent. For pretty much the first time ever. Hee. I do remember her saying that she wanted the show to go on forever and ever because it was so much fun. Also, she of course talked about her massage therapy backup plan, but for now she just wants to have fun. And she did say that whenever she does something stupid, she immediately says "Oh crap, that's going to be on the show." They all acknowledged that they play characters on the show, and the editing reflects only that.

Surprisingly, Hef's interview on the website made him seem pretty articulate. But he's also an alum of my alma mater, so I guess I can't expect anything less! ;)
