Many of the posters have noted: Hef's cheapness, shabbiness of the Playboy mansion, far-from-excessive lifestyle. Perhaps the reason is the simplest of all - Hef isn't that well off and neither is Playboy Enterprises.

It would be ironic if it ultimately turns out:

1. Holly is older than she claims.
2. Bridget's sister is her daughter.
3. Holly is as dumb as she seems but turns out OK.
4. Hef's nearly broke at the end - all of his wealth was in PB stock.
5. Daughter Christie gets the majority of the assests.
6. Sons get a trust fund each.
7. Mary, gets a big payoff for her years of loyal service. Note that Hef sticks with old cronies and pals and probably is actually closer to her than any of the three girlfriends.
8. In fact, few if any of the present or former girl friends are even rememberd in his will.

Those are spoiler tags. You black something out when it can be considered a spoiler, so as no to ruin it for anybody else.

I just saw the rerun of the time when they were in The View, and how Kendra was bitching about the women there needing breast implants and being haters and what not. The View doesn't air here, so I never found out if they were really mean to the GND or what went on. Did anybody catch that interview?

Good trivia on the theme song "Come on-a My House" (for those who care). The original song was a big hit for Rosemary Clooney (George's late aunt, for you youngsters). And it was written by cousins William Saroyan (famous author) and Ross Bagdasarian, who was much better known by his stage name, David Seville, and his songs by the Chipmunks.

The GND were on the Fangoria awards last night. Holly look gorgeous, as always, Bridget looked thrilled to be a part of horror movie awards ceremony, and Kendra looked good in her little corset but bored to be there.

On "Robot Chicken" - only Bridget and Hef sounded like themselves. I was convinced Holly and Kendra were voiced by other women til the credits rolled. Very funny with the flowchart - "We don't like the quilting bee".

Maybe they were just considered inappropriate by the mods? One of the blacked out sentences had to do with the Black Dahlia's state at the time they found her body. Not a spoiler, imo.

No, the mods didn't do those. The posters just used them innappropriately because speculation isn't considered being spoiled. You'd know if a mod edited a post by looking at the bottom of it and it says "Edited by Sars/Glark/anyone who's name doesn't match the original poster."

I'm trying to savor Bunny Tales, but I far prefer it to Jennifer Saginor's book. The idea of 7 yr olds in the Mansion is just too creepy to enjoy.

I don't think the Mods are who put the spolier tags on the posts you may have seen blacked out.
Anyone can use a spolier tag in their post - for material they think is gonna give out the true scoop on a show.

When you go to the screen where you are posting a reply in a thread - look up near the top of the box you are typing in, and you'll see the icons for "wrap in quote" "bold" type, "italic" type, insert image/link, etc.
The last icon on the right says "SPOILER".
So when posting material that may be a spolier a member here will highlight the part they want covered in black and then click on that spolier icon.
Voila .... the black lines are then in the post.

Of all the shoots I liked Holly's the best, altho I think it was incredibly rude for Kendra to show up late. Did anyone catch the first pictorial episode. I'd never seen that one before. Bridget really did come unhinged when she found out they shot without her. Interesting.

Do they always blur the nudity on E! in the US? Do they blur nipples? In England, the nudity isn't censored at all, at least not after the watershed (10pm). The weird part, though, is that over here GND airs all the time, even during the daytime, and for those episode they do blur it a little, but it's still a bit much if you're eating breakfast or lunch. It's the weirdest thing, because they just put a tiny little bit of blur right over the nipples (so you can see the whole breast, it just looks smooth, like the women have no nipples) and a small part of the pubic area. I caught the second Playboy shoot episode during the day recently, and I swear, it made the women look exactly like Barbie dolls. Creepy.

Oh yes, and why did Hef have "Land of Hope and Glory" played during the Playmate of the Year luncheon (slumber party ep)? Is Hef British?

Hey, Derek, if you check out the Playboy layout of that photo shoot, you will see that they airbrushed out the "nether" regions of the girls. No info I've seen has explained why they did that. And they DO look like Barbie dolls like that! Partly, I'm sure, because they got rid of their fur bikinis.

rawhide, according to Jill Ann's book, Hef has trouble hearing on one side, I don't remember which one. However, I have yet to see him do the little head-twist people with hearing problems do, in order to point their good ear towards the speaker, so I'm not sure if that is true.

And yes, Kendra is definitely hoping for some athlete or rapper (preferably black) to be her next sugar daddy. I hope she gets him, pronto. This poor girl looks like she's bored out of her mind with Hef and the whole situation.

As for Kendra being attracted to black guys, I think she just wants to land a rapper or a professional athlete, period. It might just happen to be that most of them are black. But, honestly, if the guy is either a rapper or a pro athlete, Kendra would hit it (when she's finally free of the old man, of course. Although, I wouldn't doubt she's gotten some on the sly anyway), I don't think race would matter to her.
