Does this mean that there will be a second season? I just saw a few episodes last week and I'm fascinated by this whole thing.

On E!, it was really awkward when Holly was talking about a T shirt that said "How to marry a millionaire". Yeah, we got it Holly. Good luck.

That said, I really hope there's a second season. I really can't look away from this show.

Why is Holly so secretive about her past? There's this awkward silence after an interviewer asks her about her past. You can see where she's pausing to make something up, but why? What is she trying to hide? It's not like she's superfamous where if she gives away too much about herself some stalker will try to find her. We already know where she lives, so what's the big deal? We already know that Bridgit has 10 useless degrees from college, we know that Kendra was a stripper before she met Hef, but what we don't know is the truth behind Holly.

I don't watch this show. I catch as I'm flipping. I must say that Kendra and that hair scares me. It reminds me of this movie where the kids had blue eyes, really blond hair and were killers. Was that Children of the Corn? I can't remember. She needs a more natural blond. And how old is she? She was acting like a teenager.

Her family visiting on her birthday? They looked so uncomfortable. I think her bro was uncomfortable b/c he was trying to conceal his excitement.

His child Christie is running the mag, but do you think he is leaving her any piece? Ummm no, she is not getting it. I remember seeing or reading an interview of Christie and they asked her how does it feel to not have the magazine or any piece of Playboy left to her at all--his two young sons are getting something but for the most part Christie has been frozen out of his will. If he can do that to his own child, what is he gonna do with the three stupid whores (oppies, I mean girlfriends)?

I think it was on 60 mins, or I read it in Vanity Fair; when I have a moment I will try to research it. Basically the world of Playboy will not be in her hands so to speak, and she doesn't have the same that her baby half brothers have, even though she has been running it.

BTW, I do know someone that works for the Playboy Mag here in Chicago--I won't say too much, because I don't want to out him, but the stories he tells are amazing. And apparently when Heffy brought his little whores to the Chicago office the mocking of the girls behind the doors, by Hef's employees, is something to make any snarky comments here look like praise. And yes, the employees did use props to mock them, and still mock them to this day.

The Whores Next Door had two tiny appearances during the Super Bowl commercials for (what else) Desperate Housewives... they didn't speak, though, they just made little facial expressions as Hef said which D.H. was his favorite or whatever.

Short answer clairedawn: No. I kind of got the feeling that when Bridgette and Holly were calling out to her from the house after leaving the party early, that what they were really saying was "Kendra, you're flirting too much with hot guys who are not yet eligible to receive social security, and its past 9.30!!". Also Holly's "I don't know anyone"? How about getting to know someone, like I don't know, Matthew Perry or Michael Vartan or some other celebrity who could give you some perspective on what lies outside the gilded cage of the Playboy Mansion?

That makeover was surreal. Reminded me of the YA books by Scott Westerfeld about a futuristic society where all 16-year-olds get made over as generic "pretties" and live in New Pretty Town. Love how the brazilianing of the girl was paired with the shaving of the struggling kitty. Also love how Bridgette says, "She's insecure because she's not blonde" and then catches herself, "Not that she needs to be blonde!" Oh, but in New Skank Town you do.

I just bought the Playboy video game. It's actually alot of fun . You get to be Hef and meet a bunch of celebs and photograph girls for the magazine. This game is pretty explicit showing alot of sexual situations. From there, you build your popularity and the empire as a whole. I recommend you go out and buy it.

That game got pretty horrible reviews. Many game reviewers dismissed it as "The Sims with implants."

By the way, has E! been taken over by the Playboy Channel? For a while there it was like this ridiculous show was on ALL THE TIME! This actually makes me glad that they have Lisa Loeb's show on now so that the network can run it into the ground instead.

ITA. I was really upset at the end of the episode. All Anastasia really needed to be "made over" was a decent haircut, and maybe a little bit of help with her makeup. The haircut was cute, she didn't need to be blonde, and the red dress she picked out was MUCH cuter than the whore lingerie she ended up wearing. What disturbed me the most?
