Far be it from me to try to cover Master-P's no-dancing, practice-skipping ass, but I think he's absolutely sincere about the Kristina victims. He's put his money where his mouth is. I think he saw himself as a DWTs sacrificial lamb - sure, I'll do it for my son, and for the Kristina victims, and he skipped practices, did a lame dance . . . and got voted into the second week. Now he has to regroup. Surely he felt he'd be at home with his feet up by now. Maybe he shouldn't have volunteered himself in place of his son, but now I feel he thought he'd be first out for sure, so why attend every practice? Shuffle in time to the music, and out. Too bad, Kenny Mayne went out and now he truly is committed. He can't stand still every week.

I think he'll do more of a pro forma effort this week, and if the gods are kind to him, he'll be out. I don't think he wanted to last the whole way. He thought, I'll step in, shout out my Katrina homies - he has the right to do that, he backs that up with $$$ - and by the weekend I'll be in the hot tub. Then they voted Kenny Mayne out first. Is that his fault? He tried his best. Stood in for his son, barely moved - he should be home. It's not like he tried to last. Blame the people who voted for him over Kenny. He would hav had no problem going home.

Master P is from the Desire Projects in New Orleans. His family was there, and some of his family were at the Superdome. His recording studios are in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. His home area was flooded badly. He's very good about promoting New Orleans, and sincere about the victims.

He can't dance, but he IS a music business genius. He put Southern rap on the map, pioneered producing new sounds, and has a quiet but more, important influence than Jay-Z. He produced and promoted crunk (think Lil John) before anyone else. The man has pioneered a number of methods to market rap that free artists from the record companies. To be honest, he probably made more money producing that album and movie in Baton Rouge than anything Dancing With the Stars can bring. The man's a multimillionaire with his own label and multiple businesses. He also has a pretty good fan base (his son has no talent, and he's successful only because of his father, for example).

That said, he should NOT be here if he is not going to practice. He never was a dancer in his videos, so I really doubt he has dance talent. I doubt his fans are watching this show, either. He'll probably get voted off next. That will be good, because the video was excruciating to watch. I'm pulling for Jerry Rice. He's got the ethic, he knows how to move, and I expect hot flashes from the samba and the jive.

I just re-watched last week's dances and caught what I assume was Len saying, "That was just wonderful," in the seconds between Drew and Cheryl's dance and Tom speaking. It gave me a little thrill, because you know when Len gives unsolicited praise, it must be good. I'm surprised I have a favorite so early.

I'm reserving judgement on P because it looked like his greatest flaw was that he was so flat-footed throughout the dance. He needs some real dancing shoes. And a coat that fits. And some practice.

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to Barry Manilow's appearance. My love of the Barry is completely unreasonable (and kind of embarrassing). I assume it's going to be another performance with a pro couple dancing. I hope he does "Weekend in New England."

BTW I totally credit this show with the fact that this Sunday on Spanish Television some Latino Stars (my mom says they are mostly actors from Spanish soaps and movies but I don't know if there will be celebrities from other venues too) will be partnered with professionals and are having a dance competition. The title translates loosely as "Dancing for your Dreams." They haven't given a lot of details so I don't know whether it will be a one ep deal or not. Having just seen the commercial I am now trying to find out more. I can say that my mom knows everybody shown so far and is guessing that the one actor she thinks will do the worst will still not suck. The dance montage in the commercial looked good.

I think the popularity of the show has been made obvious to the people who put on Spanish television because today a talk show showcased a 7 year old boy from Colombia who according to them has been named "World Dance Champion." I can only guess they meant in a kids devision but still he must have outdanced some older kids. He demo'd the mambo and I have to say he has incredible footwork. Made me die inside a little more to think that MasterPathetic was seen by so many more people.

ETA Can you waltz to Weekend in NewEngland? Because that is the only one of the dances used here that I can imagine goes with that song...then again the musical director on this show is nothing if not inventive.
ziglettospal
Yes, you can Waltz to "Weekend in New England." It's going to be lovely if Barry plays it.

I would have loved to have seen that kid's mambo. I get about 20 Spanish stations on DirecTV, can you tell us the network name and the Spanish name of the show so I can try to watch it? Thanks!

ETA: Thanks for the information on the show. I Googled WXTV and found out it's Univision, which I get. I found the show with my TiVo, so I'm all set!
MDKNIGHT
I've learned a bit more. It is "Bailando por un sueno" (that isn't acutually an "n" it is and enye the n with the squiggle on top but most computers don't have that letter) in NY on my cable it is channel 6 in my market but the call letters are WXTV and starts at 8pm eastern time starting this Sunday . It will be 8 couples made up of a "celebrity" and a "regular" person that have been coached by professionals. Each week one couple will be eliminated but I don't know how that is determined. I'm definately going to have to watch despite the fact that I don't know a soul on this...then again I realized this season I only knew 3 people on DWTS so it isn't a big stretch.

ETA the first ep runs more than 2 hours.

My sister came home today and surprised me with tickets to the show tomorrow! I get to watch DwtS live! I get to enjoy watching the trainwreck that I just know Master Pathetic will be firsthand! Weee! Hehe... I feel sorry for Ashly 'cause I love that girl, she's so cute! But, boy, her quickstep with Master P is actually what I'm most excited to see tomorrow.

And how sad is it that I'm actually more giddy about seeing the professional dancers than the "stars"? I'm not gonna be rooting for any of the celebs tomorrow (though I do have my favs), but more for the professionals. I hope the other half of the suxy! will be in the audience tomorrow. A glance of Alec Mazo in the flesh is all I ask. :)
barkley
How cool! You have to give us the dish when you come back.

Alec was there last week, so I'm pretty sure he'd be there tonight. Upon further review of the show last week, that was him next to the curtain behind Tom.

Hey, Waltzing to a song that was actually written in 3/4 time? How novel would THAT be? (Yes, I'm still grumbling over what they did to "What A Wonderful World" so that it could be passed off as a Waltz.)
MDKNIGHT
Yes, I'm still grumbling over what they did to "What A Wonderful World" so that it could be passed off as a Waltz.

But you hide it so well;)

Where do they hold the competition? And do they sell tickets or give them away like for RockStar INXS? And add me to those who want you to report back every little detail.
ziglettospal
They are doing the show at CBS Television City in Hollywood. For ticket information, see the On Camera Audience page for DwtS. (This info courtesy of ABC's web site.)

ETA: According to the tickets page, Jesse McCartney will be Friday night's guest performer.

Also: Go open that thread, legaleagle44, at least three of us will be watching!

Thanks for the info, MDKNIGHT. I already knew about Bailando por un Sueño (the Mexican version of DWTS) thanks to the forum that I frequent regarding the Italian version of the show, and I've already bookmarked the show's official website. I will definitely make a point of watching, since I didn't know that a new season was about to begin or whether we could watch it in the States. I just may see about opening a discussion thread for Bailando--from what I've seen on the website, it looks to be as good as the US and the Dutch versions combined (and talk about the "suxy" potential!)

Charlotte is doing just fine.

That was great to read. Also thanks for the info about John O'Hurley and Charlotte putting out an instructional dvd soon. I hope they'll do a lot of promo for it so that there will be an opportunity to see Charlotte more. And hopefully DWtS might have her come on during some of the Result Nights and participate in the pro dances.

Saw John on several talk shows during the holidays. He looked terrific. Really fit and full of energy. He was probably already in rehearsals for Broadway. He happened to be wearing really great clothes, too. They made an impression on me for some reason. The first time he had jeans with a blazer and boots. I didn't figure him for a jeans guy but they suited him a lot. Long legs and all. And the second time he was wearing this orange sweater type of thing that was probably from his catalogue. I know it doesn't sound as if it would be particularly attractive but I bet he had a lot of people trying to find out how to buy one like it. He looked that good.
MysteriousKitty
Jesse McCartney as guest musician GAG!!! I can't stand him. Why can't they get someone else decent? I am so excited to see the dances tonight. I hope for Ashly's sake that Master Pathetic dances better. I am excited to see how Tia, Lisa and Giselle will do as well.
Cynthia187
I can't wait for tonight's show. I only caught a bit of last season and this season's potential train wreck is keeping me glued to the tv on Thursdays...

Snarkilicious article about the latest episode exactly what I was thinking.

I’mma have to hand Ashley a copy of “ The Code of the Streets” . She clearly didn’t read up on streetology. NO snitching! You better ask Lil Kim. ANYWAY. You not snitching if you stating the obvious.

Percy and Ashly - Poor Snitchly. Ashly you gone need security girl. The streets aint safe for you. Its ballroom dancing not drug dealing. And she didn’t snitch, she stated the obvious. Its THAT kind of thinking that sent your brother to jail. You tell him LIN. There is a time and a place for everything! WOUld you smoke crack with a cigar pipe? Hell NO!, you would get a proper crack pipe. You do a drive by shooting on a a Segway? Hell no! Would you use titanium to cap your front teeth? Hell No! Well then wear the friggin dance shoes man. You too old for that mess. I am just glad Ashly wasn’t injured.

Lisa and Louis - What the hell is up with this song for the freaking rumba. I am a woman but I want Louis’ outfit. Lisa’s boobies looked distressed, ouch!. I love the pants. I thought the pole dance class clips were hysterically phallic. I love Louis. I want my very own pocket gay guy.

Drew and Cheryl - .“The Neutron dance.” I loved how he tried to lower expectations in the pretaped portion. Three 9’s are you kidding me. They are only the second people to perform and the first quick step.

Tia and Maksim -Maksim is a male stripper on the DL. Thank you Tia for wearing age appropriate clothing. Tia seems flat footed. Somewhere Beyonce and the brothers Gibbs are having a freaking fit. Background singers keep reaching new heights of hackery. They are jacking up the scores 8 plus 8 plus 7 equals 23 right? OH okay they fixed it. How hard can it be to pick up the right paddle? It the only thing you have to do the ENTIRE night!

George and Edyta- I I don’t care if it wasn’t actually quickstep. ‘Imma vote for him. Sorry Tia. The people in the hood would be proud. They were sooo much better than Tia and her partner. Why they hell is he in this competition again? He’s falling apart.

Tatum and Nick - The vomit green dress is worse that the construction cone orange No excuses please Tatum.

Jerrilicious and Anna- I loved it I loved it. Jerry wore the hell outta that tux. And who let the Jerry Springer audience members in? “Jerry! Jerry!”

Stacy and Tony- I got a little “tingly” listening to Tony talk dirty to Stacy He should seriously consider a career in audio erotica. Yeah and the dance was good too. Well deserved score.

Gisselle and Johnny - I guess Imma have to vote for her ten times because she probably needs the votes and seems more deserving. Not that she did better than the other two, but she probably is less popular than Drew and Stacy. They don’t need my help
neciamorris
Drew and Cheryl are amazing. That was wonderful.

Tatum really is of crazy. I can't imagine what the McEnroe household was like when those two were living together. Those poor kids.

I thought Stacy was good, but not better than Drew and Cheryl. Maybe it was too subtle for me. While I enjoy watching ballroom dancing, I don't know anything about judging it.

Master P still sucks, but he sucks much less than he did last week. He wasn't dancing, but at least he moved around.

Good show.
ohclaire
Tatum is a nutjob.
hendersonrocks
I am a straight woman, and not ashamed to admit Stacy was absolutely smoking hot this evening. Wow. (And the fact that her partner looks exactly like my boyfriend Mark Ruffalo doesn't hurt.)

I missed last week's premiere, so I was pleasantly surprised by Jerry Rice. I hope he sticks around. Drew Lachey is fantastic, too. I'd be pleased as punch with a Jerry, Stacy, and Drew final three.

Percy, Percy, Percy. I don't even know where to start. Tatum may need to go back on the smack, if this is what she's like sober. It can't get much worse.
polyester
Please... put Ashly, Master P and us out of our misery. Kick his sorry ass and his Ronald McDonald feet off my show. And him kicking those shoes across the floor after getting them as a gift? Apart from snitching, they apparently don't do class in the hood too. Vile.

I expected Lisa to do much better. And, give it two more episodes and we'll see a total Tatum meltdown. That's some good TV.
MysteriousKitty
Tonight was intresting. Lisa and Louis I actually didn't like this week. They did too much sexy posing and little dancing. Tia was the only one who I thought moved her hips best. Also speaking of that what is WRONG with these women and moving their hips??? It's not that hard! I liked Giselle and her partner. George cracks me up and he danced beautifully tonight. Didn't feel that Stacy and her partner deserved such high scores. Master Pathetic just needs to go home he annoys me and he cannot dance! I feel bad for Ashly.
Aredhel
Wow. Tatum is buttfuck crazy. I feel sorry for Nick.

But I don't feel nearly as sorry for Nick as I feel for Ashly. P won't even wear ballroom shoes? Get him off the dance floor. Although this week was better than last--at least he was moving.

I liked Drew and Stacey the best, and also Giselle and Jerry.

I think Tia and Lisa are in danger of being kicked off this week, Tia because she just doesn't seem to much if any audience support (notice the silence when her score was announced) and Lisa went first both weeks, which is a tough position to be in, and her routine wasn't particularly memorable.
mtlchickie
Stacy and Tony- I got a little “tingly” listening to Tony talk dirty to Stacy He should seriously consider a career in audio erotica. Yeah and the dance was good too. Well deserved score.

I felt plenty of suxy going on in the rehearsals. But for some reason, I was a bit meh on the dance. Great lines yes, but I was like "Rachel 2.0 is on the same course." 29? I was expecting a tad lower, but at least they're dishing the 10s out early this time

Only got to see them, Jerry (whee! love him) and Master P. Or Master "Dancing Shoes are Beneath Me! Uhhhh!" P. Ashly betrayed him? No, just calling him on his crap and yet he STILL makes her cry. Bah!
sgupta4
I voted once for each team except for Tatum/Nick, Tia/Maksim, P/Ashly, and Lisa/Louis. I still have my online vote to give one team the advantage. Stacy/Tony, Drew/Cheryl, George/Edyta, Giselle/Jonathon, and Jerry/Anna were all very good with Stacy/Tony, Drew/Cheryl, Giselle/Jonathon, and Jerry/Anna in particular very impressive to me.
kelzoo
And him kicking those shoes across the floor after getting them as a gift? Apart from snitching, they apparently don't do class in the hood too. Vile.

He did what now?!

Unfortunately, I was flipping to figure skating and missed P's quickstep. I did turn in just in time to see them after the judges scored them. Was it my imagination, or did I catch Ashley mouthing "help me" to the camera?

I think I'm developing a crush on Jerry Rice.
Stinger97
I really can't stand Master P. When Ashly gave him the gift and he opened it and dropped it on the floor because they were dancing shoes, I wanted to kick the dude in the junk. So friggin rude for no apparent reason.

And did anyone feel like Ashly was a bit disgusted with him tonight? I mean I know she had on a smile and all, but I still got the feeling that she really didn't want to be standing next to him. I also find it extremely awkward when P talks to the judges, so I really hope he goes home tomorrow.

It seems as if Jonathan turned up the homo-meter to an 11 tonight. Dude was seriously letting his flamboyant side out in the video before the dance.

I like Tatum, but even I think she's a little crazy. But to be honest, I think in order to be a good actor/actress, you have to be a little nuts. I won't hold it against her, though. In fact, she got my vote tonight. I did find her dance a little boring, but I thought all of the rumbas were.

George and Edyta were fantastic, especially with all of his injuries. I appreciated that he kept the dance fun and interesting, even though it was difficult for him to do too much quick step. I thought his score was fair, and I'm hoping it'll be enough to pull him into next week.

Stacy and her Legs (which are another contestant all together) were extremely hot tonight. That's all I can really say, mostly because I stopped paying attention to the dancing and more attention to her body.

Jerry's quick step was really well done. I was very impressed.

Drew's left something to be desired, though he did okay. I'm not sure what it was, I just found it very boring. That said, I'm sure we'll be seeing him next week.
notinbtnet
Man, poor Tia. When they announced all the couples at the end and they announced her, it was dead silence. Damn. Master P might be staying another week if you consider the roar when they announced his name at the end. But its painfully obvious he doesn't want to be there. It cracked me up when Ashly elbowed him in the gut to try and get him to show SOME emotion after they announced their scores.

Stacy is hot.

And I got to root for my boy Jerry to, being that I've been a Niners fan since forever.

Finally Gisselle got some abs.
Cearbhaill
Jonathan's hair is so not real.
Either a rug or Hair Club.
BrainyBlonde
For me, the dance of the night was Giselle and Jonathan's Rhumba. That's what I call sultry and sensual. I felt their "passion." Jonathan choregraphed the dance beautifully and Giselle brought it. Kudos to them and screw the judges for only giving them a 23.

I didn't think Tatum's Rhumba was that bad. I was impressed that girlfriend can do the splits at her age.

Hang in there, Tia. I thought you did great and I love the chemistry between you and Maksim. Maksim, honey, grow back the facial hair and no more gigolo costumes please.

Jerry Rice's Quickstep was awesome. I loved his footwork! And he's got such a great attitude. Kisses, Jerry!

At least, Master P tried this week, so I'll give him that. But he's got to go tomorrow night.

I really enjoyed George and Edyta tonight. Their routine was fun and entertaining even if there wasn't a ton of Quickstepping going on.

The music reached new levels of suck tonight. I hated all of the Rhumba songs
TrixieFirecracker
I still enjoy Lisa, and I'm glad she got her hair under control this week. She'll get my internet vote. (It's really a vote for another week of HAMLIN in the crowd!)

Drew is fantastic. And I totally spotted his mistake, which either means that I'm learning about dance, or that it was an extremely obvious mistake.

Tia's not the best dancer in the world, but I like her attitude. I think she's really trying.

George is adorable! I hope that he gets to stick around a while.

I don't care about Tatum, but I'm enamored of her partner! I like that Tatum really, really seems to care about doing this, but I won't miss her when she goes. Nick? I'd miss him buckets.

Jerry is rapidly becoming my favorite man. Drew's amazing and all, but watching Jerry is just pure joy!

I was hoping Stacy would be awesome this week! I love her partner's comment that the Rhumba should be danced in a way that makes the viewer think that maybe they shouldn't be looking. Hee!

Len asked P the exact thing I was thinking when P came out. "Would you play basketball in dance shoes?" Which sort of scares me, cause I don't want to be in a mindmeld with Len. But whatever. P did seem to be trying at the start, but by the end, it seemed like he was just walking again. Whoever saved them last week will have to save them again this week, but I'll sure not help.

Giselle makes me smile. As much as I want Lisa to stick around, I think Giselle and Stacy are pretty much the two best women. And I love that she's putting the most hours into this! Aww.

I'm using my 9 phone votes to vote once for each performance I liked. One vote to Lisa, Drew, Tia, George, and Giselle with Jerry and Stacy each getting two votes.
MysteriousKitty
I have to say that Giselle has a great little body on her! Her flexibility is hot as well. George cracks me up though when they are all in the little room together and when he kind of made fun of Master Pathetic when he said he was doing it for his Peeps.
amityisland
Lisa and Louis - What the hell is up with this song for the freaking rumba

I was so confused - they're doing a rumba to "Your Song"?! I think I watched that whole number with a look of "huh?" on my face.
I ended up voting for Jerry, but I also really liked Stacy's dance too. I'm torn between wanting Tatum or Percy to go. I hope Tia gets to stay, I liked her this week but I think she's too hard on herself.

On a fashion note, I loved Samantha's dress this week - very pretty.
sgupta4
I noticed the silence too when Tia and Maksim's names were called in the end. Ouch! I really hope P goes home tomorrow night. He doesn't deserve to be there and obviously doesn't want to be there so let's give him what he wants.
Stinger97
George cracks me up though when they are all in the little room together and when he kind of made fun of Master Pathetic when he said he was doing it for his Peeps.

Ah, that reminds me! What the hell do the victims of Hurricane Katrina have to do with Master P's dancing. He babbles on, telling everyone that that's why he's there, to show the victims and the kids in the hood that they should try their hardest and blah, blah, blah, ...

Makes no sense to me. If his ass stays tomorrow and another contestant that really wants to put all their effort into this competiton goes home, I'm going to be pissed.
kelzoo
I'm torn between wanting Tatum or Percy to go.

Tatum has to stay. She hasn't gotten to "full crazy" yet.
TheMadOptimist
Tatum is buttfuck crazy
Quote of the night! *goes to recover and post later*
MDKNIGHT
I had a hell of a time getting through to vote and when I did they said I'd used up my votes at 5. Isn't the max per phone line 10? The computer line is one vote right? Can you vote more than once online if you have more than one email?
I spread my votes basically trying to support everybody BUT MasterP. Obviously couldn't as they told me I ran out of votes but I tried.

I don't think I hated anybody other than P. You'd think they were asking him to be a slave rather than wher a pair of damned dancing shoes. Tell me P...if the kids in the hood study hard and get an interview at a medical school would you tell them they weren't representing if they wore a suit? He just doesn't fail to make me feel disappointed. I also thought ther was something wierd in the expression he had while Ashley was trying to be perky and upbeat at the post dance interview. He looked I don't know angry? with her and the interviewer. It certainly didn't look like disappointment at not doing better. I swear Ashley would look jazzed at a wake. If MasterPathetic wants to do more for New Orleans why doesn't he pay to send Ashley there for a couple of weeks to put on exhibitions at homeless shelters. She could chear up the comatose.

George gained my love forever at making fun of MasterP. I guess he knows how bad it would look for P to beat up an old geezer, so he just doesn't care.

I felt bad for Tatum. I've come to believe she's not a bad person merely a deeply troubled one who doesn't know how to act normal. I bet people made fun of her behind her back and I totally buy into the speculation that she's really shy and hides inside acting so she doesn't get hurt. Unless somebody is giving her direction she is lost.

Tia I thought looked lovely and I thought she deserved better marks than she got because I thought she did bring the suxy. However the suxy championship went to Giselle who I could not believe is not a dancer given the dancer body she has. Runner up to the Suxy crown was Stacy. The woman has legs a mile long and is very graceful esp for one so tall.

ETA Also felt bad for Lisa. I gave her a vote for trying and wanting it so bad.

Loved George tonight - he's light on his feet even though he can't do all the quick stuff anymore. He did fantastic. Edyta was looking really pretty - she's gotten softer looking this season. I think it might be better makeup.

Drew and Cheryl were awesome. Is that his basement they are practicing in? Since his wife is a dancer/choreographer, it would make sense that they would have a big dance floor in their house. It must also make it fun trying to dodge the poles.

I don't know why, but I love Lisa and Louis. They got me with the pole dancing. Lisa is really trying and I think the judges were way too harsh on her.

Tatum really pissed me off when she slapped Nick. I love him, but she's crazy. I thought their Rhumba was pretty good though and Tatum has a lot of natural acting ability.

Stacy and Tony were good, but I think Stacy came in with a huge advantage of all that dance training and did what I expected of her. I don't think they were better than Drew and Cheryl.

Hey, P Idiot - get the hell of my TV now you asshole. Evander Holyfield needs to come down and smack some respect into him. Evander had more to lose reputation-wise than P ever did and he went out there and proved you can dance and be cool. The same goes for Jerry Rice. I wish they had shown Jerry ripping into P and telling him to suck it up.

Jerry and Anna are too cute for words. I loved how he's showing off how fast his feet are and she says "do you have to do that with that posture?". That costume, however, should be burned.

I just can't get into Giselle. Those were the tightest hip rolls I've ever seen. It's almost like she's tightened up her body so much from working out that she can't get anything soft to come out. I totally agree with Len. I half expected her to get out the leather and bullwhips.

On the land line I voted for Lisa, Drew, Tatum (only because I'm afraid that her scores won't be able to overcome Ashly's popularity), George and Tia. On the cell phone I split those between Lisa and Tia because I think they are in the most danger.

For me, the dance of the night was Giselle and Jonathan's Rhumba. That's what I call sultry and sensual. I felt their "passion." Jonathan choregraphed the dance beautifully and Giselle brought it. Kudos to them and screw the judges for only giving them a 23.

I agree, they were smoking. A lot of the judging was screwy tonight. That George got only 1 point less the Jerry is just wrong.

I think that Drew has an advantage from having to learn choreography with 98 degrees, different kind of dance, but still learned choreography.

Stacey's lines when she dances are gorgeous.

Tatum is buttfuck crazy

But I'd still hit it...

...with a restraining order.

What am I missing that is making the audience not like Tia? I like her. She's not the best dancer, but she's not the worse either. I think she's really sweet. I wonder if they saw something we didn't.
BeingNicer
Wow, Jonathon sure does like to look at himself. Is he checking the camera angle and monitors to see if his hair is still in place?

FormerOlympian , how are you healing?
Insomniac
He babbles on, telling everyone that that's why he's there, to show the victims and the kids in the hood that they should try their hardest and blah, blah, blah, ...

Yep. So if they should try their hardest, isn't it easiest to at least wear the appropriate attire. Nice message, P Brain. The man is really ticking me off. If he's not trying his hardest, why should they? I guess that logic eludes him.

George Hamilton was fucking A funny. Didn't know he still had it in him.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm pulling for Tatum. Not to win, but to hang around for a bit. My big pull is for Jerry. The man is cute. Period.

Are the bottom 3 celebs the only ones in danger of being kicked off tomorrow night? So, that means Master P, Lisa, and Tatum are in jeopardy?

ITA that the judges' scoring was all over the freakin' place tonight. They all said that Drew made a mistake in his routine then, they gave him 3 9s? I think it's funny that they disagree so violently sometimes. I swear, one of these nights Bruno is going to slap Len in the face with a glove and challenge him to a duel.

Looking forward to the pro exhibition dances tomorrow!

ETA: I don't understand why Tia's having trouble getting support either. I really like her and she's dancing her heart out. I, for one, thinks she moves very gracefully and I enjoy how she portrays the character in each dance. I just wish that she had more confidence in herself. I hated that she judged herself poorly tonight before the judges even commented.
TrueBlue
Ah, that reminds me! What the hell do the victims of Hurricane Katrina have to do with Master P's dancing. He babbles on, telling everyone that that's why he's there, to show the victims and the kids in the hood that they should try their hardest and blah, blah, blah, ...

Seriously. So, he's showing them how they should try their hardest by, uh, not trying AT ALL and just generally acting like an ass????

George really skewered him with his "I'm just doing this for the people back in the hood ... Hollywood, Palm Beach" comment. Guess George is old enough to recognize an egotistical hypocrit when he sees one.
MysteriousKitty
I have to say I don't like what went on with Carrie's little error in Tia and Maxims score tonight. Seemed a bit fishy to me. I like Tia as well and don't think there is anything not to like about her. Here's hoping Master Pathetic is gone this week.

Tatum is buttfuck crazy

Perhaps, but we should leave her sexual preferences out of this.

Thought everyone but P did pretty well, and loved George's shout out to his peeps, even though most of his peeps were likely already asleep or playing Bingo.

Just kidding. I will say that I am very partial to Stacy and Jerry right now. She's lovely and talented, and Jerry is just too cool. Drew might technically eb a better dancer, but Jerry is the man, as he was for two decades in the NFL.

The way P threw the shoes on the floor and kicked them - that was just horrible. So mean-spirited and rude. Poor Ashly. I wish she had just refused to dance with him after that. To berate her for her honest response to his sucky attitude, and then literally throw her gift back in her face -- what an ass.

Why on earth did Anna wear that gunnysack? That's all I could think about during Jerry's dance.

Louis is hysterical. He and Lisa must stay.

Poor Tia - we are voting for her. She was trying so hard.

I think these dances are too difficult for the 2nd week of competition - last season's 2nd week effort were equally lackluster.

Did anyone catch any of Tatum's ramblings? I had a houseful of screaming children, so I missed most of what they were saying. And why did she slap Nick? More importantly, why did the producers decide to show her slapping Nick? I think Tatum came on to Nick, and he said no, so she's all pissy. She probably wanted to be the Kelly/Alec so-hot-they-must-be-doing-it couple this season, and it's just not happening.

As a mature woman, I like it that Giselle dances with a boy toy. And did you hear him ask her if she wanted a cigarette at the end of their dance? (Do you smoke after making love? I dunno, I never looked.)

George shouting out to the "hood" is the reason he needs to stay.
