There are a couple of threads in the TK forums organizing bids for Star Trek shows. One for Voyager and one for TNG.

My personal preference is for Voyager, particularly "Threshold", but the Trekkers 'round these here parts should head over and decide for themselves. After all, what better way to uphold the legacy of Gene Roddenberry's ideals than giving to charity. I'll leave you with this:

Nog: "It's not my fault that your species decided to abandon currency-based economics in favor of some philosophy of self-enhancement."
Jake: "Hey, watch it. There's nothing wrong with our philosophy. We work to better ourselves and the rest of humanity."

Bump. Tubey's Kids is starting again soon and I think it's just shameful that Farscape has gotten a TK recap and Trek hasn't. Shameful.

That's probably because we got a DS9 recap for free from keckler. And, let's be honest, as good as all the recappers are, if Trek did win a Tubey's Kids recap, keckler would be chosen to do it. So what's the point of paying for a recap when we get the same snark for free? (Yes, yes - there's the "helping the kids" thing, but I'm not so much into helping.)

True, but we might not get the snark for free forever. Personally, I think there's enough interest out there for regular Trek Classic recaps a la Twin Peaks or My So Called Life, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. If I could get a promise that keckler would recap "Threshold" someday, I might back off of Tubey's Kids, but until that day comes I'll keep at it.

BanjoSteve is correct. I only get to do one more Extra this summer and it might not be DS9.

BanjoSteve, I am all for a Voyager recap, too. For a nanosecond I was tempted to throw my lot in with the Semi-Homemade bidders, because man, that would be funny, but Voyager is my favorite Trek (yup, along with about .002% of other posters here...) so I am sticking with it.

Because I moved it from Enterprise to the more general thread (here) and then locked the one that had less posts.

I always thought that recappers could do pretty much what they wanted. So the HoP's assign a quota, and they don't want you to exceed it?

Voyager's the only ST series yet to get the TWoP treatment now that a DS9 recap's been written. Not sure if Keckler's seen much of Voyager though, but for fairness' sake...

It's a time thing. The HoP's are busy this summer and I was able to squeeze two Extras into their schedule. I might be able to do some Extras in the future, but I'm not making any promises.

A keckler recap of pretty much any VOY episode would be a dream come true for me, so I'd have to say that it's worth money to me.
