Man. I am NOT having a good reality TV night. First Bobby Jon, now Angie. I guess I have nobody to back now.
I acknowledge the fact that Angie and Chris have been on a losing team six weeks in a row. That having been said, Trump's comment about Alex being a star, and becoming a loser by hanging with losers was completely uncalled for. I don't know if I could stay calm enough to keep from tearing into him, if he kept constantly calling me a loser like that. Would it kill him to say "He was a star, but he's been losing ever since joining this team"?? No, I don't think it would.
Alex is a pompous ass, and I'll be glad when he no longer shows up on my screen. I can't believe he's keeping Chris there. I hope Chris does something monumentally fucked up later. They all deserve it.
Trump? You don't want chokers working for you? Then get rid of that COO that choked like hell on TA2 finale last year. Hypocritical ass.

I dunno - I think that was the first firing in TA3 that I totally disagreed with. It bugs me how Chris is claiming that he only could have contributed 45 minutes. Uh, hello dumbass - you were out several HOURS on a project that had a very narrow time frame to begin with. Of course Angie was swamped - you weren't doing dick because you LOST a credit card. You did ONE thing and bombed. And what the hell did Alex do, exactly? I think both those boys are marked. Can't wait for them to be shown the door.
Carolyn did NOT seem happy with that firing, and I don't blame her a bit. I don't particularly like Angie - she's a bit too wimpy, I think - but I don't think it was her time to go.

Wow, is this Mark Burnett's "Kick 'Em When They're Down" night? I had to mute the TV during Net Worth's presentation because I knew it was going to be ugly.
Did I miss the part where Chris got the credit card back? Maybe I didn't watch close enough but it looks like Angie had 10x the responsibilities and thus gets 10x the blame. Maybe that was Alex's plan, delegate so much you can't be held responsible. If that's the case, Alex, you suck.
I can't believe I'm doing this but I will defend Angie. I agree that she was thrown by the last minute changes in the presentation but she wouldn't have been so stressed if Alex did his job as project manager. I thought that Carolyn was on Angie's side and trying to point out how Alex didn't even do what little he was supposed to do. Notice how The Hair didn't confirm his firing with Carolyn as he normally does. Loved Angie's "I can't believe you guys hung me out to dry" as she hugs those bastards goodbye.
Angie got a raw deal!!! (this can be a Now or Never shirt and it goes for both TA and Survivor.)

This is the first episode I've seen where Carolyn is clearly disgusted with Trump. Did you see her stony glare when Trump was talking about how he wont hire "chokers"? Carolyn clearly was gunning for the useless credit-card losing Chris. So good for Carolyn, and it puts to rest the canard that she's harder on women, because she defended Angie very strongly tonight.
Trump? I despise him. "Losers"? "Chokers"? His hard-on for Alex?

Thank you for that refreshing moment of self-awareness Chris! Lots of points for that.
A task that isn’t all marketing. Yay! I can even forgive the product placement...
People want cheeseburger pizza?!?! Are you kidding me? That sounds gross. Maybe it’s because I am imagining eating a McDonald’s cheeseburger with a slice of Domino’s pizza. Grease galore. Ew. If they called it pizza with ground beef on top it wouldn’t be so gross.
Uh oh, Kendra looks a bit weepy. First sign of real weakness.
No “backup clothing.” Hee hee!
Chris, you’re hanging out at Best Buy all day doing nothing? Dedicated sure, but what are you going to do with that credit card when you march in with it 15 minutes before the presentation? I just don’t get why Alex ordered him to do this and why Chris agreed to follow that order. Maybe he appreciated the chance to rest. :)
Watching the apprenti do fashion design isn’t half as fun as Project Runway. Possibly because on PR they show a lot more of the actual task.
Angie does such a bad job of defending herself. She really needs to point out that she is so stressed because her To Do list is three miles long, while Chris is hanging out at the Best Buy on Alex's orders and Alex did ... not much that was filmed.
I kind of hated that ending. First, Trump lectures Chris on his temper on a task where he didn’t lose it. Then: “Do you agree that you choked? Yes, sir. Angie, you’re fired.” Clearly, honesty is not the best policy in the Trump organization. On the other hand, I might have fired her just for the hang-dog expression she wore during the task and in the board room - it just yells “I’m defeated.” So ultimately, I think Trump made the right choice, just for the wrong reason.

Yeah, I really started to feel bad for Chris and Angie. I still don't understand the "Alex is a star" business, what has he previously done that would excuse him from being a pretty bad leader now? He made bad decisions. Angie just had the most pressure, to pull it all together publicly.
I know I can't be the only one who thought, during his "I can't stand people who choke" speech, "Soooo, he fired that COO then?"

I wanted Chris to go. Did yall see that long a$$ list Alex had for Angie. If I was Angie, I wouldve saved it incase they went into the boardroom to show Trump. I mean did Chris do anything, but stand around. I dont think anybody brought Alex down, Alex brought himself down. And why wouldnt Angie be under pressure, Trump should have given her a break. I mean they was ALMOST late and like less than a minute b4 the presentation, there was no jacket for a model. And their designs were pretty stupid too. That laptop looks kinda heavy to be carrying on someones back.

What did Alex do? Was he around? I mean, Chris shopped for technology and Angie was helping design the clothes and screw up the presentation, and we saw Alex do what exactly?

Alex should have been fired. How is different that he had no hold of the team before going to the presentation from Audrey's --and not get fired? The models were a mess, they were late, and they forgot a JACKET--all of which was really Alex's responsibility. As PM, he is allowed to delegate responsibilities but that does not clear him of overseeing things are done timely and right.
As for Angie, I love her farewell interview. She was just exasperated and was in good spirit to root for Tana.

I haven't been this annoyed and enervated by a firing since that of Stacie J's in Season 2. Trump routinely displays his lack of class, but tonight we witnessed his apartment, but verbally. If he called me a loser, I'd politely say I quit.
Angie should have said that the reason she gave such a poor presentation was because she had too much to do. Alex had 1 item on the to do list, and she had 19. Chris was gone, because he had lost the credit card, and one person cannot do everything. She could have used the analogy of Trump needing viceroys to assist him each week on the show. One person can't do it all, and maybe she was the one who was surrounded by losers.
Alex is a do-nothing little bitch. When he started bitching about Angie in the binterview, I seriously wanted to smack him. All 3 of them probably should have been fired; I don't really see great things from any of them. Angie is the best of the 3 though, but she still should have taken a stand, and said she could not be responsible for so much.
Trump is a sexist jackass. Alex is white and male; therefore, he is given a pass on so much that others would not. Trump has had it in for Angie for a while, because she is a strong woman who does not flash her cleavage at him. I hate this man with a passion. He doesn't like chokers? Well, Melania probably doesn't have to worry because Trump probably doesn't have enough to cause her to choke.

At this point they might as well stitch the letters "HIRED" on Tana's forehead, because it's looking like a foregone conclusion that she is gonna win this thing.
Which is ok with me, I suppose.

Trump is a sexist pig. (No news, I know.) Angie did more and better than either Chris or Alex. Trump just doesn't like strong women (I'm still angry about Pamela last season), and I honestly feel that if he doesn't pick either Craig or one of the women this time, he's really going to feel a backlash. I think Trumpy is seriously losing decent candidates in order to make a better TV show. (Why is Chris still on my TV? Or Alex for that matter?) And therefore losing a bit more of my respect weekly!

I came into the show fifteen minutes late and just assumed Angie was the project manager. I wondered why she wasn't delegating more! I was shocked to find she was being delegated to.
I think if Angie had just made a clearer argument in the boardroom against Alex, he could have gone. Alex should have done the presentation himself since it was so obviously important, just as Tana handled the presentation on her end. If Angie had said that, and made it clear that Alex completely abdicated responsibility on the task, then maybe she'd have had a chance.

Yes. It showed me once more why I love her so. Her attack of Mr. Golden Boy Alex was wonderful. What exactly WAS he doing? To me it looked like nothing. Angie should not have been fired because the project manger gave her all the responsibility! The only thing I fault her one is a poor performance in the board room. She shouldn’t have admitted to chocking—blame it on lack of preparation time, and then point out if Chris had been there she would have had to do less and therefore had time to prepare. “45” minuets is the difference between shit and a great presentation.

That? Was crap. I'm not a big Angie fan, and she did blow the presentation, but what the heck did Alex do on this task?? So he skates by because he wasn't a "loser" before joining Net Worth? And I'm too lazy to look it up, but didn't someone in a previous season get fired because they lost money or something like that? Chris gets lip from Trump every week and he's still there. I just don't get it.
And who the hell applied the overheated flatiron to Carolyn's hair?? Good god, she looked awful in the boardroom.
I now officially love Tana. She really is good.
I'm beginning to think that all those phone calls Trump makes from his limo are bogus. I'd love it if he was just talking to a dial tone each week as he thinks up some line in an attempt to sound tough.
ETA: You know what, Trump? Just because someone loses a task doesn't automatically make them a "loser". If I ever worked for anyone who spoke to me like you speak to your employees ("You BETTER make sure it's successful") or your employees-to-be, I'd tell them to fuck off and quit. Asshat.

Trump is not a likeable guy, but he came across harsher than usual this episode. Was it necessary to humiliate these people by calling them losers to their faces? And how is Alex a star? What did he actually do on this task?

Did anyone else think that Trump's little speech about Domino's marketing was a voice over? No one sees him during the entire soundbite. You only see his hands gesturing. That was a throw away to dominos for getting beat on last week's task by Papa Johns. That might have been what happened to the Rona-Phone clip also.

Count me in with all those who don't understand why Alex is a star all of a sudden - I suspect some sort of mischief to get him into the final four and/or two.
Angie seemed a bit too bitter in her taxi interview, but I suppose if I were her, I would also have a hard time believing that I would be fired before Chris.
Trump, quit keeping around Chris because you're hoping he's going to provide good tv by freaking out. It's just not funny any more. First? Trump saying that crap about the NotGeorge: "Don't be fooled by her looks"- about a lawyer! In front of her!
I knew the writing was on the white board when I saw Alex's "delegation"; how thoughtful The Star was.
Then for the continual 'loser' and 'choked' insistences- Don, you didn't see the presentation so you don't get to say that. Even if you saw a tape later. He was so obviously going after Angie this week I yelled, "Don't fight back" at the tv because I didn't want her to possibly get (verbally) hurt more.
So Trumpie has almost completely gotten rid of all the yucky girl cooties this season. How proud he must be.

Initial thoughts:
- Sad that there was no Phona. I love her.
- Sad for Erin that she got fired before the design task!... Only. Not really.
- What exactly did Chris buy that cost $4000?
- I'd really hate to be the ghost on the receiving end of Trump's yelling during the lesson of the week.
Okay, so why did Chris spend three hours at Best Buy getting his card back? Tell them your card number; they'll call you when they've found it. They know their asses are on TV. They'll come through. I promise. There was no reason for him to waste that time -- time that could have been better spent preparing for the presentation.
Y'all, Angie would like you to know that she DIDN'T. CHOKE.
I've liked Angie (mostly) till this point. I mean, I didn't like how she'd taken to bad mouthing EVERYONE ON HER TEAM. But whatever, she was working with morons. So, I guess I can't completely fault her. However, she dug her own grave. Right from the gate, she admitted she couldn't stand the pressure. "We were late." "The model lost his jacket." I'm the first to admit that I'm not that great under pressure, but that's why I don't do presentations. I can make pretty decent decisions, but I can't get up on front of people and think on my feet for the life of me. Angie should have just acknowledged that. But she said from the start that she fucked up because of the pressure. Then she contradicted herself by not saying that she choked. Though, to be fair, her contradiction isn't what did her in.
Okay, now for Alex. Trump really needs to stop exaggerating. I defended Alex last week. I think he's done a good job on most of his tasks. But to call him a star is ridiculous. I wasn't so offended by the "loser" comment, but to attribute greatness to Alex by default felt slimy to me.

That didn't make much sense. If Trump wants someone who can handle pressure, why wouldn't he fire the guy that explodes every time someone says anything vaguely critical to him?
Also, the one contribution I remember Alex making - the laptop that goes in the back of the hoodie - was pretty ridiculous. Imagine trying to unzip a zipper on your upper back and pull out a laptop. That seems so awkward.
I love Tana. I didn't like her at the beginning, and I think she's pretty out-of-touch with a lot of pop culture - but adorably so. She just seems to have a great sense of humor about everything, including herself - and she's good at the jobs she's had to do!

Damn, Chris is a Survivor.
Some folks have argued that he is being kept around for dramatic purposes and perhaps there's some truth to that. But in spite of his flaws, one thing I like about him is that he "gets it" more than most contestants on this show. He actually hears the criticism he gets from Trump and the Viceroys and takes it to heart. He struggles with the feedback, sees what they are saying to him and actively tries to change. I like that quality in him. (Contrast that to Pamela who, in episode 2 was told by Trump that she had some very rough edges to her style, and her response was basically.....that's who I am and I ain't gonna change).
To me, an Apprentice is someone who is open to mentoring.

Really, I can't get over how again and again these candidates forget to do something so basic as fundamental market research. It's not that Tana is so great; it's just that she did the obvious (she is great, IMO; I'm just saying that her performance on this task is what you would expect from a reasonably competent human being), but because the candidates around her are quite poor, she looks even better by comparison.
I think Tana will win, because Kendra resorted to the Erinesque "I don't know nothing 'bout birthin' no outfits" crap. I guess a detail like that doesn't matter overall, but I wasn't as impressed with Kendra tonight.
Kendra isn't even going to know where to go if she has to ever go to the boardroom :)
And yes, I admit when I am wrong: I've previously critizied Carolyn a lot for being so hard on women and not so much on men, but tonight I saw a different side to her. This season, actually, she has been much better, so last season, I guess, it was because the women were an insult to our gender everywhere.

Yeah, she's pretty smart and that sunny disposition is a real asset. Not sure whether that's in the genes or if it can be cultivated to a significant degree, but it allows her to handle adversity with a sense of humor. I kinda called Angie's firing based on the previews from last week. But, after watching the show, any of those three could have been fired. All Chris really did was buy $4,000 worth of electronics & then spend the rest of his time at Best Buy searching for the card (I wonder who's name is on the card anyway). Could you imagine if it really was Donald Trump & how the cashier would react when given the card? Alex delegated too much & Angie just couldn't handle the pressure in the end (although she did what was needed to be done).
Trump's "loser" comments were just too far over the line, though.

Off topic, but did anyone else think that Carolyn seemed to have got ready for the show in Seinfeld's shower? The one with no pressure?
Hee, and yes!
Topic - I really felt for Angie. I was talking to my mom on the phone and couldn't pay attention to the first half of the show, but just how did she get tasked with virtually all the responsibilities this week?
Trump's question 'did you choke' reminded me of 'are you still beating your wife' - so unfair and no good way to answer it. If she denied choking, she'd be a liar, and TD would say he didn't want liars working for him. She admits her part in the failure, and gets canned. Carolyn was so rooting for her, too. But I knew he'd fire her the first chance he got, so there ya go. Too bad she wasn't a younger, "cute" girl capable of catching Trump's eye. I actually think she's cute, but she's not Trump's cup of tea.
I don't understand why Angie is surprised at being fired before Chris. Am I mistaken, or wasn't she in the BR last week when TD told Chris he was a disaster but had potential and needed to get his shit together? Didn't she see this coming? Especially since Chris got the endorsement of Alex, for the second week in a row. Speaking of which . . .
ITA with everyone who thinks Alex is coasting at this point. I haven't seen him do anything exceptional except bitch and complain. Why exactly does TD think he's a star? Alex had better make sure he doesn't see the BR again. Magna hasn't seen the BR in weeks. If he's seen in the BR again, along with Magna members who would be considered winners, he's toast. But not before Chris gets fired, though.
MB's really on a roll tonite - first Survivor, now this.

Alex should have gone. Chris might have gone but once again he defended himself well in the BR. All the hype about how "crazy" he is, but they never bother to tell us what their idea of crazy is. I saw a few sinister moments from him tonight, but he wasn't punching out walls, and that is what this show's idea of crazy is.
I actually thought Trump was less harsh to Angie than I expected him to be. He didn't yell at her, he didn't call her a total failure...I think that he was planning to really tear her apart (based on the nasty "losers" comment beforehand) and Carolyn may have said something.
I'm going to miss Angie. :( Can we make her an honorary Ulong and get her on the Survivor jury??
Alex's team lost nearly 5 tasks in a row. That is a pretty big loser. And the saddest part is that as much as I hate Alex, I really did feel bad for him when Trump said he'd gone from a winner to a loser. I don't know why, but I did.

Boy, Trump really blew this one. Chris lost the credit card, practically spent all day at the store trying to retrieve it, shows up 5 minutes before the presentation, and then escapes like a weasel. He's got to have more lives than a cat.
And I also didn't like the fact that after Angie responded with "I could have done better" after Trump asked if she choked, he BULLIED her into admitting that she indeed choked.
