I was turned off by a Buffy-vid once, as it really was really horribly cut and made no sense whatsoever, but this was very well done. Kudos!

Yeah, I hate it when vids are cut bad and the music doesn't fit. I'm not much of a fan-fic girl for some reason, but I love music vids set to movies and shows (because I love music to a disturbing degree). I do hope Charmax makes more VM vids - her other vids (Buffy, Angel, The L-Word, movies etc) are all excellent.

If anyone ever finds or makes a VM video to Lonestar's "No News" it would make my day. I'm one of those people who vids in their head all the time but lacks the technical resources to make them real, so I'm always on the lookout for people who have done the things I wish I could.

As long as we're making suggestions (I'm another of those that vids in my head but has no software)- Character Study of Weevil (and possibly his relationship with Lilly) to the Twisted Sister version of Leader of the Pack. I think it be perfect. Even down to the line "the tears were beginning to show" when Weevil wipes his eyes at the Memorial. It is great in my head.

Naty_ on LiveJournal has posted an excellent vid she categorizes as Veronica/Logan. While it has some very nice V/L moments, it plays more as a character study of Logan. A really well done character study. The technical aspects (vid source, timing, choice of cuts) are excellent, but the way she uses them as a tool of characterization, the way she tells a story, is just fabulous.

I'd like to second mswyrr's recommendation; Naty's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" vid is the best VM vid I've seen and one of the top five vids from any fandom that I've seen.

Ditto - it's unbelievably awesome. One of my favorites ever done for any fandom I've been in. I can't wait until she does more!! (Her "Questions in a World of Blue" is good too, but I think TEOTH is stronger.)

It's a beautiful music video; I actually liked it more than Total Eclipse of the Heart, which was also incredible.

naty is a star. After the brilliance that was her "Total Eclipse of the Heart", comes A Better Son, also Logan centred. The music is by Rilo Kiley (warning for lyrics) and she has yet again matched lyrics and images beautifully. And thanks to this thread for turning me onto something I had no idea existed before.

Total Eclipse of the Heart is amazing!

I *loved* Naty's Total Eclipse & A Better Son vids, but Questions was very blaaah. Maybe it's just that I found the song annoying (though I don't think it fit very well, either) - I tend to like vids to songs I like, though certainly not exclusively. Anyway, TEotH & ABS are still the two best VM fanvids I've seen.

"A Better Son" is good shit. Rilo Kiley is great, and I hadn't heard that song. And the lyrics match the images like whoa.

I didn't think much of "Total Eclipse," maybe because the song does nothing for me.

Is anyone going to do a vid of the epic LoVe kiss? Please? Someone, anybody?

meggygurl, that was a GREAT video. Loved it! The picture needs work, but I think the scenes you chose were wonderful and well put-together. Nice putting the kiss last!

alexp17, you chose good clips I wouldn't have thought of - like the rape, Logan waiting at school, pre-Lilly clips - nice work! I really enjoyed it. And your transitions were very smooth and good. Only, one made me realize just how much way taller Logan is to Veronica!

I was wondering if anybody has made or will make a video that draws a parallel to Veronica's rape and Logan's abuse (something I had never realized before). I just watched one that made that small connection near the end - is anybody interested in making another that shows that?
