And Kelmette, I've never posted on fanfiction.net, so I can't give you any advice on that realm. Sorry.

I have a challenge idea. I'd write it myself, but I just haven't been in the mood to write at all. I still have the second installment of my fluff series to write ... and that is all completely plotted out and won't even take long if I'd just sit down and write it. But anyway, this idea came to me last night and I'd love to see someone (sadiekate?! maybe) tackle it.

It's sorta AU, which I generally don't go for it, but it's more of an AU spin-off of a plot point. What if Veronica hadn't been the one to tell about Logan/Yolanda, but someone else had, and so she hadn't been the cause of the Logan/Lilly break-up. Because of that, with Duncan and Veronica broken up and Logan and Lilly broken up, Logan and Veronica find themselves falling into something.

Just an idea. I dunno. Off to attempt to write my fluff piece -- 2nd in the "Life on Mars: Sunny Side Up" Series. If anyone is interested in reading the first -- TOTAL fluff! -- here's the link: 'All For the Love of Veronica'

I got burned out. I've been reading a lot of it, and a lot of it? Has not been very good. I'm just ... overinundated with them as a couple.

Aww, thanks all of you. Just letting you know, I'm editing it to take the "Ronnie's" out as it bugged a couple of people enough to comment on it and if a light piece is getting that negative a reaction, it doesn't belong.

Arabian yay on taking out the Ronnies. Let that part of the canon die a slow, painful death.

SK the spigot will be stopped as of next week. I have a review course M, T, W, R and then it's study for the boards like a crazy girl. No time to sit around and torture some guy named Rob Thomas' characters. Alas.

FWIW, arabian, I think it was less a reflection on you, and more a reflection on the ponderous amount of really OOC and nonspellchecked fics, where people were using "Ronnie" to excess. It's gotten everyone burned out. I even went our and changed a 'Ronnie' (the one time I used it) in one of my early fics, because it bothers me so much now.

I am a former member of the Ronnie club. I kept in a few used sarcastically and either removed the rest or changed them all to Veronica.

Is there a 12 step program for Ronnie abuse?

thanks, sadiekatie. See, I start a fic and if it's good, I continue reading, if the bad spelling/grammar/ooc kicks in, I'm outta there pronto. I'm too much of an elitist, I know, so I was completely unaware that "Ronnie" proliferation was occurring. Although, admittedly, I think I used it two times too many in my fic. I didn't realize that I used it three times! Egads! And in the second line, no less! Ah well.

Now, I just need a plot bunny for another installment in the series. I think I have one, but I'm not sure yet. Needs to percolate a tad more.

There should be. And hopefully, it will be incorporated into the VM Fanfic University.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one bothered by all the Ronnie-ing. God, it was driving me nuts. And I don't mean this directed at any of the great writers here, just in VM fanfic in general. If Veronica is Ronnie, then I guess Wallace can be Wally and Logan can be Logie? It's demeaning and juvenile, and I can't imagine Veronica would ever let someone call her that. Ick. It makes my skin crawl.

There is so much bad stuff out there that I really appreciate the recommendations for the great stuff here. (Why oh why can't people learn the difference between "too" and "to" and between "your" and "you're"? Or at least ask a friend who knows something about grammar and punctuation to proofread for them? Just askin'.)

Sophia Bee, Sadie Kate, and arabian, all your stuff is awesome. And I am loving those s2 scripts by theohara. Good times.

I have never in my life liked fan fic of any kind before, but you guys finally have made me understand its appeal. Well, you guys and VM in general -- that goddamn cliffhanger of Logan on the bridge is probably the only reason I sought out fanfic in the first place, so I could imagine a scenario that didn't end with him jumping or getting his brains bashed in by Weevil. It's been interesting to see all the different scenarios that people have come up with in fics.

Does anybody know what happened to the fanfic site on ezboard (LoVe)?

If you mean a bunch of the fanfic disappearing? That would be because ezboard had an attacker go in and spread some nasty viruses and we lost a lot of stuff. We're just rebuilding right now. I'd love to get some of the older fanfic that was there, but a lot of early authors posted their stuff and then just kinda left. If anyone here wants to post their L/V fanfic on the board, it's more than welcome! (We do things a little differently with feedback -- a feedback link needs to be set up at the bottom of the latest chapter or end of the story so that the story is just the story and the feedback is separate). So, yeah, we're trying to rebuild all of the forums and hoping that we've got rules (no netspeak, teenybopper stuff, proper grammar, deep thoughts) that were established, we're trying to keep that going. I need to start some "deep thoughts" posts, but haven't gotten to it yet.

Anyway, if that's what you meant -- and again, any LV fanfic is welcome there! Oh, I'm JenniferH at that board, it's actually my board that's why I know all of this stuff about it.

I started to write a fic, but the subject wasn't in my style, so I decided to throw it out as a challenge to all of you...I was thinking a bar-b-que with the Kanes and Echolls. It would be when Duncan and Logan were 12 or 13, to see how the young characters would interact, like how Trina and Lilly would get along, and also it could be Lilly and Logan's first kiss...I know the challenge is pretty detailed, but if anyone is up for writing it, I would love them forever!!

sadie kate rocks my world! Since they're gushing in LJ, I thought I'd come gush here. Excellent, clever, insightful, etc, etc. Great idea and cool AU execution. At first I feared (although I don't know why I was afraid, since you knock it out of the park every time) that it would be kinda like that **Dawson's Creek** detention episode.
