tundrachik, the closest I can think of is dark roast's excellent Christmas sequel to Fish out of Water. It has the jerking out of bed and the dislocated shoulder, at least. Is that it? (I'd provide a link, but I think dark roast requested it not be linked to.)

While I'm at it, I'll go ahead and join the (large) crowd recommending Fish out of Water to anyone oblivious enough to have missed it. That story may be the best fanfiction I've ever read, although theohara's second season is a close contender. Wowzers.

Kur's new fics are awesome! It makes me sad but also a little excited that LLAED is wrapping up. I love that WIP to bits. And the Logan dream fic is so trippy and just cool to read.

There is a new WiP this summer. In a glorious experimentation in collaborative writing, 19 fanfic authors have combined to write a 22 chapter (plus a prologue) epic. Chapters will post every Saturday from now until early November.

I'll just quickly and shamefully self-pimp and tell you all that a new chapter of my fic When Angels Speak is up. It's an AU where Veronica does die in LitB, but she watches from Heaven (somewhat based on Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones). It's in Veronica's POV, Lilly's there, Logan's emo, Keith grieves, etc.

Speaking of self-pimpage...I have a new fic. Okay, it's not chapter 2 of Bright, but this one just hog tied me and forced me to write it. Someone a few pages back was looking for V/L hurt/comfort...this might qualify, in a twisted sort of way.

A Feather's Weight

Disappoint? kur, there is not a single line of this fic that has disappointed! I feel all spoiled with 2 juicy chapters released so close together. Now to live in agony until the epilogue can give me that beautiful feeling of resolution.

Check under the part talking about "Drabble" for a general idea of crack!fic... Of coarse I'm new here so... I've got to make up stuff I don't understand. That is my best take on the subject. If you look at the Wiki article on "Drabble" you'll find what some people call "Drabble" is more likely not... So a little "what's in a name" might be needed here. Good Luck.

A definition for crack!fic? Hmmm....

Crack!fic is a kind of crazy humorous story that contains plot points that are wildly implausible but somehow work. You suspect the author may have been on crack while writing it.

Fics are labelled as crack!fic to warn the reader that anything goes in the story they are about to read.

It can be a crossover with another TV show or a book.

However, not every weird, funny, crossover fic is crack!fic. It depends on how the author writes it (tone is very important) as to whether it is really crack!fic.

Crack!fic is very hard to define ;-)

I read a fic titled, "The King of Neptune High," but I can't remember where I found it and I want to see if there's an update. Does anyone know which one I'm talking about?

You can find it here, but there's been no update since December. The author also has another WIP that hasn't been updated since February. She also has her own board where she posts her fic (more than just VM), and she hasn't even logged on since February. She used to be really good about updating her fics or at least letting people know she was working on it, etc. But now she seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. Hopefully nothing is wrong and she's just busy.
