Saunter Vaguely Downward is a brief, haunting look at what might have made Don Lamb the asshat he is today. This is Shealynn's interpretation of his fall...and how it all could have started with the fall of an idol.

It took forever but I finally finished my fic for the Cheesy Love Song Challenge over at lj. I got A-Ha's Take On Me (sooo cheesy!) but if anyone wants to read its here.

And I know most of these have already been rec-ed but these are seriously good pieces of fiction.
Whenever I'm Alone With You by tastylilgifty - Part of the Cheesy Love Song Challenge. It's written in beautiful vignettes and reading Part VII was the first time in a while that a fic made me cry.
Tilt-a-Whirl by ladydisdain225 - Part of the Loveathons Vehicle Challenge. A beautiful haunting look at Logan/Veronica. Achingly angsty and deliciously hot.
Hollywoodland - or Bust! by shangri__la - Also Part of Loveathons Vehicle Challenge. A future with with great L/V interaction/relationship that makes me love the characters all that much more. To me, that scene where they have sex while Logan is driving the Porsche is one of the hottest things ever. Yay for moving car sex!

kur, I loved The Part of Me that Can't Let Go, and thought the first person was beautifully done. Really great Veronica voice and snark. The ending was so unexpected and heartbreaking - such a great job.

Hi all. I'm wondering if I could pick the brains of those of you who write fanfic. I'm writing a creative essay on fanfic, and I'd like to get a couple of different perspectives. My two biggest questions:

- Why do you write fanfic? What drives you to borrow the universes created by others, and what do you get out of it?
- What draws you to Veronica Mars fic, and, if you're active in other fandoms, to those?

I've written a decent amount of fanfic myself, so please don't think I'm just dropping by to scoff at you. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

I don't really keep up with VM fic, but I suddenly had a hankering for a good story that fills in the blanks of the Lilly/Weevil relationship. Any recommendations? Smut is okay, but characterization and plot are more important.

So, after years of reading fanfic, I decided to take a stab at it myself.

This is my first ever attempt at writing anything fictional so my hands are shaking as I type this post. I'd love feedback but I have to warn you that this fic hasn't been beta'd, so be gentle if you can.

It's a Logan/Veronica fic about the day of Logan's testimony at Aaron's trial. Anything you read is purely speculative. Also, it's a very mild R, to be on the safe side.

Chapter 2 of Neptune in Death is up! Go here please It does contain spoliers up to the most recent episode, along with my opinion of what probably happened. Oh yeah it is crossover fic with the 'in death' series by Nora Roberts/JD Robb.

After the previews for next week's episode, I want to rec Only You by eqyption pixie. Its a prom fic, and some of the ships have ended up to be non-cannon, but it is lovely!

ashleigh12, here is a post of VM fanfic links, separated by what episode they spoil through. It's current through the end of S1, but you can wade your way through those without being spoiled. I don't know off-hand if there are any V/Weevil ones in there, but I'm pretty sure that there are some V/Duncan ones. (personally, I'm not a big fan of either couple, but ... yeah)
