Anyone remember a fic called No Longer That Girl? It was one of those Lilly-lives fics where Veronica 1.0 moved to Neptune and proceeded to pull a Yolanda on Lilly and Logan. But it hasn't been updated in, like, AGES and I can't remember the author. Anyone remember who wrote it so I can hunt them down, snap some incriminating shots and blackmail them into continuing?!

Darn. I was hoping I'd find something here to distract me from my 10 page paper on democracy in China but alas, not so. Now I'm actually going to have to write it tonight.

Rickashacka, I'm pretty sure I know which one you're talking about. Or at least one very similar. Veronica and Logan were making out/kissing at the party, and Lilly was the one leading the crusade against Veronica, and eventually Logan realizes that Veronica killed Lilly. Although I suppose that isn't really "Lilly lives"...and is a oneshot.

Home Is Where The Heart Is is a lovely tale written for the Twisted Tales challenge by Shealynn88. The story primarily features "mini-Lilly" and is a wonderfully evocative modern fairy tale. It's endearing, a bit heartbreaking, and a nice glimpse into the future for those who harbor positive feelings towards Duncan and his kidlet.

I almost cried like a big sap...which, to me, earmarks it as something highly reccable. :).

Also, thank you, sadie kate for your rec of "I Only Have Eyes For Ewe" and "I Herd it Through the Grapevine." I had entirely too much fun writing both of those.

For those who like "If Lilly didn´t die" stories, there is one REALLY good WIP at the Love shack called Divided Loyalties

It takes kind of different approach to this subject than many others, because it acknowledges the fact that the FabFour where going sour BEFORE Lilly died ... and at this point in the story Veronica has to make a decision about to whom of her friends to stay loyal to and who to cast away. So if you like those stories that change the events pre-series this one is golden :-)

I second that rec for Divided Loyalties! It's a really wonderfully written fic and you guys should definatley check it out if you haven't.

Over in the Guarentee a S3 thread, misschinabeth brought up the blog that Keith was joking about Veronica having (you know, when the "escort" came by) and it gave me an idea. Why can't Veronica have a blog?

A blog would be great for catching converts up and promoting the show in general. And they don't have to be solely "episode guides" like the Veronica's Diary entries over on UPN dot com. As Arsy remarked, "The Office has Dwight's...people email me lines and links... all the time. They aren't blogs about the show (that only watchers would get) but are instead commentary on things going on in the real world. Thus, anyone could relate."

Problem is, people who work on the show have their hands full writing the show and I think writers' assistants barely find time to write said Episode Guide for the UPN site. Maybe we can get some of our best fic writers together and start a "Blog from Mars" (working title, of course). Who writes the best Veronica voice? (Or maybe a few people could alternate...)

After 10 years of writer's block, VM has stirred the creative juices, so I've written two fluffy fics on Mac/Cassidy. They're both futurefics, written in the same universe, but can be read separately. Given what I've been hearing about the rest of season 2, I assume this will be AU rather quickly.

Speaking of, I wrote a fic with a very experimental structure the Vehicle Smutathon. It's set in 1942 and I had a great time with the noir slang. I'd really like to hear how people like it.

Parallel Tracks

TrueMyth, I just read your fic and wow, it is awesome. The format was experimental ( just like you said). I love the way the story was written from both POV in parallel, and how they meet on certain important points of the storyline-visually. I love the way you swapped their surnames ( Reynolds-Lianne's surname, Lester-Lynn's surname) and how you recreate the setting and character backgrounds on 1942 with different names and situations but still easily relatable to the characters in VM world. Logan as a mafia-hee!
I love the abrupt ending-how the mood changes from the brooding, sensual, 'adult' mood of the 1942 setting to the young, (relatively) innocent VM world. If only Rob&co had a lot of money& time to spare to make a special episode like this (with the costumes! and the train interior! and Logan in those old hats!) to be put as a bonus in the VCD, that would be awesome,hehehe.
*I know my English is not that good, but I feel compelled to give a review, so...*

Five Letters that Lilly Kane Didn't Get to Write
Written by blackandwhite02, this fic is a series of letters written for the 5thingsthat challenge. All of them are incredibly well written and very in-character.

And then an exercise in persuasion:
My newest fic is Full of Grace, an angsty, fun, morbid, and slightly twisted take on what could have happened if Veronica had died instead of Lilly. It's told from Grace's point of view, and I had a blast writing it. It's my favorite story that I've written for VM, containing a plot (!) along with dialogue. Any comments, be they feedback, concrit, snide remarks, or random babbling would be absolutely loved.

And, as per usual, your fic was excellent, TrueMyth.

I know wortel already said it, but TrueMyth's story, Parallel Tracks, is fucking amazing. No holds barred, the best I've ever read. And I've read a lot.

TrueMyth, the format was mindblowing, the writing was breathtaking, and the last line was...I have no words.

If you haven't read this already, please, please, PLEASE go read it.

ETA: I just read Five Letters that Lilly Kane Didn't Get to Write and Full of Grace. Both of them blew my mind (especially the last letter). goldstars, I loved the way you wrote Lilly in Full of Grace--great voice.
