I never comment here because I'm a huge dork, but skk670, you can't leave us hanging! UpdateUpdateUpdate (Those are me sending you brain waves to update as soon as possible.)
Also, there are many, many great authors here and that have been recommended. I don't actually get to see VM until they are released on dvd so you guys keep me going. :) Sadiekate, thanks for the hugs recommendations page on your lj, it's going to keep me pretty busy.

So i kept telling
Sadiekate and
Buffyx that if I ever wrote a Rec list, they would be on it... But I figured that's a huge cop out unless I actually go ahead and make a rec list. So I've put together my 30 picks for the best fic in the fandom (and I will add to this, b/c I know I left some great ones out).
So for your procrastinating pleasure:

Thanks so much for reccing me, marylane! I'm about to go scour through your list and read the ones I've somehow missed.
(Oh, and thank you even more for getting the title right-- everyone seems to think it's "Long live the rose that grew from concrete," instead of "A Rose Grows From Concrete," which I guess is what I get for originally putting that line of the poem in the subject title. D'oh.)

Two new fics to rec, both non L/V -
know your onion! by passionflows is a good Mac/Cassidy fic that shows what *might* have happened before ANMMHE aired.
In the Still of the Night by
crackopuff (rachel_shanz on LJ) is an AWESOME Trina/Aaron fic. I know, I know - it's totally creepybadwrong whatever, but it totally works! Explains so much about the Trina/Aaron dynamic. (And I'm not just saying that since the original concept was mine, heh)

Thank you for the kind words about "Cuddling", rowanceleste and summermoon. Yes, there will be more but the story will shift now that Logan and Veronica are out of the bedroom. I’m going to add a mystery for Veronica to solve and Logan to interfere in. Writing VM mystery is what I like best but this will be a challenge for me. I have never mixed a mystery with graphic smut nor written a mystery in anything but script form.
Speaking of which, thanks for the rec, marylane23. There are several stories you recommended that I haven’t read yet, so I am very excited. Yeah for new VM fic!

kur, thank you so much for new LLAED! The interaction between V and Weevil at the beginning was just spot on and had me loudly gesticulating at my computer screen to help him emphasize his points. Yah, my grasp of reality is tenuous at best. Can't wait for more!

I
have been thinking about it. I originally wrote "Prism" as a one-shot and then got the idea for "Violet World" when I kept thinking about the plot-bunny of Veronica dying instead. Ideally someday I'd write one with a different character dying instead of Lilly (Logan, Duncan, Aaron, etc) but I've been so busy with school and my other series that I haven't found time.
So short answer: Yeah, someday. :)
Glad you enjoyed them.

Hello again, all.
Just dropping by to self-pimp. I've finally gotten around to writing a summary for the next episode of my
Virtual Season II. I wrote this so people could know what happens next, even if I don't have time to write the script.
Again, any author out there at all interested in writing the actual episode, or a future episode in my Virtual Season, I would love you forever if you did. No need to stick to script format or any of my stylistic choices, but I do request you run plot decisions by me so I can keep things in line with the season mysteries.
Aaannnyyway....
Here is the (insanely long) plot summary for episode 2.5 "
Broken Records".
Enjoy!
Edited because I originally said I wasn't going to post a link in the LJ communities, but as you know, I am a low-down dirty deceiver...

And a special shout out to both
sadie kate and
marylane23 for including Holding the Curve on their big ol' fic rec posts. You two are wonderfully talented writers, so getting such lovely recs from you just thrilled me. Thanks, dears!
Maybe I should have gotten this out of the way first, but no new chapter of Holding the Curve YET. But...soon. (Really.) Instead, I will distract with you this short little fic I'm here to self-pimp. Written for the

I can't remember if this WIP has been rec'd here or not, but an update went up today so I thought I'd mention it.
I highly recommend
Hollow World (link is to most recent chapter, links to previous chapters are at the top). It's a dark, angsty V/L fic, and it's absolutely killing me.
(Warning: When I say dark I mean it. It's rated a hard R for violence, and deals with some very dark themes. The first couple chapters that set it up can be especially tough to read. But it's so worth it.)

marylane, even that summary was excellent. It was the bright point in a midterm-filled week. Are you going to be posting ep summaries regularly, or waiting until each one is fleshed out into a full script before posting the next?

sadie kate, can we expect any Lamb100 fics soon? Because I am addicted to your Lamb/V table like nothing else.
I have been feeling the teensiest bit burned out on Lamb recently, probably because I've written 62 pieces for the Fanfic100 table. Also, I just finished an epic fic last night - seriously, 12,000 words y'all - that shall be posted once my poor beta has a chance to give it one more good read-through. So, I was planning on taking a break, but then Michael Muhney totally posted about how hot Logan is at rack_of_lamb last night, and now I'm concumed by the thoughts of Logan/Lambfic.
Short answer: I'll try to write some this weekend, but I can't make any guarantees.

Thanks for the compliment,
atropos116, I'm glad I could make midterms seem less evil.
To answer your question, I'm going to go on with the summaries until the last ep of the "season", write a proper finale, then I'll consider going back and fleshing out the summaries.
Unfortunately, I've got a HUGE paper due soon and a few other big projects, so "posting regularly" might be stretching the truth a bit.
Glad you liked it, and hope I can have another one for you soon.

My fic for the 5thingsthat challenge has a mission statement. "Dick gets laid. A lot."
And that's pretty much what this is, Dick having sex with everyone he comes across. Woo! (Warnings for slash and incest, because Dick does not draw the line. Oh, and there are some dark themes, because Dick may not be complicated, but he is an asshole.)

I read sadie kate's "Scattered Scars Like Constellations" and I deeply recommend it. It is fabulously written, of course, and scorching hot. Read, read, read, read!
Then, when you are done reading it, go back and read it again.
Also, anybodysfool07's "Party Girls" is intriguing. I think it should definately be read. It is one of those that you read, but it sort of sticks with you, giving birth to your more 'what if' creative side.

Thanks for the rec on "Hollow World", holly96! I was wary at first due to the warning of such violence and angst( not undeserved, to be sure), but I'm so glad I read it! It's such an amazing, truthful story and really explores the characters brillantly. Anyone who hasn't read it, read now! It rocks.
