sadie kate - I just realized I was reading your fanfic on the LJ community...I've never really gotten into fanfic before but your characterization of Veronica (her quips, snarkiness) is amazing. I just read a very, very good fic at NeptuneHigh, Hemotology (Blood Tells) . Of course, it's by Juliette (so far, she's been the only one with the power to blow me away with every. single. awesome. fic.). It's not a relationship one, per se, but it's about Duncan, and Veronica, and she's probably his sister in it, so you're a bit warned. But it is FANTASTIC.

ETA: And Sophia Bee, loved your fic. I agree, the second part was wonderful, the best of the two. Feel like going on to Part 3?

Newbie here. I had finally broken free from fandom and then VM happened. I'm looking for fic recommendations (of the non-slash variety) and was hoping I could get some here. Be warned- I am a bit of fic snob (she says meekly). I like my fic well-written and, for some odd reason, slightly macabre. Although I can't resist well-written fluff either.

That said, can anyone point me in the right direction? I'll bake you cookies....

Dude, for cookies I'll happily point you in sadie kate's direction - everything she posts is going to dig around in your heart and your head and make you very happy about it. (A bit much? Still...) Most things linked here have been quite good, and generally people list qualifiers so you can stick with the areas you like. There's lots of good stuff out there! LiveJournal and Neptune High have some neat-o pieces...
