tiana, just got into the fanfic thread now (even though i've been obsessed with VM since last season) and LOVE Holding the Curve! I'm so glad I had 12 chapters to read all in a row...of course it sucks now that I have to wait for lucky number 13. :) Keep up the great work though!!

I'm a new convert to VM and thus, even newer to VM fanfic and so I started at the very beginning of this forum for recs and was beyond thrilled to see this fic by Yahtzee. Obviously this has been recced before but it is brilliant, as usual. I've read my fair share of fanfic and I have never actually commented on them before but I was compelled to do it for Yahtzee who, if you've read any of her Buffy, Angel, or Alias fics, you would know is literally the best fan fic author ever.

Heh! Zod, you are never going to beleive this, but what a coincidence. I got the urge a couple of days ago to read this fic again - I was thinking about it, and remembered really enjoying it and more and more wanted to find it again. So, after a hard TWoP search, I did! Just, like, yesterday I finally reread that fic, "The Vanity Fair Profile" and of course loved it. I was actually thinking about re-recommending it on this site! So, the point of my story....cool.

This is an exploration of what things might look like if Duncan were to finally experience that psychotic break we've all been hoping for. Or maybe that's just me.

I don't really post in the ep threads anymore (not fast enough), but one thought that leapt at me during this (Awesome) ep and the (Awesome) Lamb scene at the Manning's, was "Damn, those guys are good!". No, for once not just the writers, but sadiekate and all the other fanfic writers who NAILED the Lamb backstory, apparantly on the nose. I pick sadie especially, because I am so enjoying your 100 Lamb fics, and again, you guys - nice call.

mutinousmuse, have to say I loved Inauspicious Stars.

Heh. It is a little freaky, having spent all this time creating all this Lamb backstory off the top of my head - and then actually being right, or so it would seem. I am obviously psychically entwined with the show.

queen hag - Thanks so much for posting the two fics I had requested. I read Quickest Way... first since it was late and Alive looked so long. Loved it so much that I decided to just sample a little bit of Alive before going to sleep. I couldn't stop reading and got very little sleep that night. I don't normally like AU fiction but it was awesome. I'm still draggin' for lack of sleep but it was worth it!

I just wrote a short fic expanding the "no ski mask" scene with Duncan, Veronica and Logan. Not how the scene really went but a different take on it.

Speaking of NC-17, Sophia Bee? Seven Courses rules. I can feel the temptation and Veronica's pathetic need for normal. And may I add something, I love how Duncan's character seems so unaware. You know, for fics like this, when Duncan is the boyfriend and L/V having an affair, I like to think that Duncan is in fact aware of everything, and yet he chooses to stand idly by. He gets hurt and he kinda enjoys that. I like to imagine him like this, and you gave me the chance. I'm loving you more.

Of course, psycho Donut is as good as Robot!Donut. skk670, I loved A Thin Line. That's totally the new Veronica (vomit), which isn't ours and definitely not Logan's V. But, this Duncan, I like. Hey, thanks to you, now I have to kill myself.

Alive is done. I'm crying now. Good, old times. Oh, queen hag, don't worry, these are tears of happiness. It's not because I'm glad it's over, because I'm totally NOT, but my Logan's happy, I'm happy. Goodbye, Alive, and thanks for the fish!

I'd like to add my admiration of "Hypothetical" by Marylane23. I adored that, and I thought it perfectly captured the problems inherent in the triangle. Since the show is largely told from V's POV, it's hard for us to get that same feeling from the episodes.

And, in a bit of self-pluggage, I recently wrote a short, smutty AU post-LitB future fic for the Loveathon's masquerade challenge. I had fun with it, at least.

There's so much good fic out there I hardly know where to begin! Which is why this thread, as always, is so much appreciated.

I'd love to know what people think of the prologue to my newest fic effort, You Have the Right, available @LJ. It's sort of a new style for me - an attempt to write like the hard-boiled fiction writers I adore - and I appreciate any and all feedback. It's a future fic, AU after the first episode of S2, and centers around Logan and Veronica, though most of the cast is featured. I'll be updating it hopefully before Thanksgiving, too, so keep an eye out!

queen haq, I had a Logan/Meg dream after I read Equilateral Ch:4. They were an item and it was like VD vs ML. I even saw that they were eyeing each other on the hallway. Like in some frigging duel. And, yes, there was some kissing involved. Well, in my heart Logan belongs to Veronica (and me, obviously) but it was kinda...nice. That's all your doing!

Questions:

Is there some place that has a summary of all the facts regarding characteristics of each character? Rather than having to watch numerous episodes over and over to find a detail.

Example - Other than in the latest episode, where does the concept of V not liking onions come into play. I read a few fics that mentioned that she does not like them, but I don't recall seeing it in season one.

What does canon mean in the world of fan fic? Is there a glossary out there somewhere that has all the fic lingo?

Months and months ago I read a wonderful Logan/Veronica futurefic set in college. They ate waffles or pancakes or something and he gave her a ring. I can't remember the fic...I think sexycereal, sadiekate, or sophia_bee wrote it, but I could be completely and totally wrong. Anyway, it was really good. Does anyone know what it's called?
