I've been OD'ing on L/V fanfic as of late and really getting into Casey/V fanfiction. So I thought I'd share some of my favorite Casey/V fics (and plug one of my own) - and see if I'm the only one who would be in favor of a Casey/V, V/Logan triangle. Probably only something that would happen in fanfiction, but a girl can dream, right?

The first one is mine (and I have to admit that I'm amused by the close-proximity they have to each other, in terms of alphabetizing ... but I'm a nerd like that, I guess), and I really love the last 3. Heat Wave is actually the first one I read, I think, and that was the one that got me to really even consider Casey/V in the first place.

I have fanfic related questions. Not sure if this is the place, so sorry if it isn't.

I have been reading a lot of fic and am wondering if some of the character traits are from the fic writers or based on something from the show, that I apparently missed. It is mostly about Logan.

Is he a literature buff? There was that scene where he and Eli are supposed to reorganize the English teacher's bookcases, and he quoted something "Ye olde...". Some fics have him as an authour and/or movie screenplay writer.

He has mentioned older movies in conversation. When Troy's car was "stolen" he mentions Brigadoon. Is he a Hollywood classic movie buff? Is that why some fics have him as an actor in the future?

I know in the show credits, his sketch is doodling. Is that supposed to represent him being artistic? There is a fic where he is an artist in the future.

Welcome to the world of fanon. Which usually starts as taking a really trivial thing from the show and expanding it into a character trait in fic. Then other fic writers sort of crib off eachother and there's a whole hive mind effect. And before you know it something is just taken for granted in fic even though it's not particularly well justified in actual canon. That being said, I think some things are better justified in canon than others. For instance Logan is the child of to actors and he's a giant drama queen so it doesn't seem to big a stretch that he might one day be an actor. And he did mention being good "at these things" when he offered to make Lilly's memorial video. So maybe he could be a director. But really who the hell knows. As things go it probably has slightly more canon support than fic!Logan's love of eating girls out. And it's certainly more justified than Logan calling Veronica 'Ronnie' as an affectionate pet name because he called her that snarkily in the Pilot.

Dude. "I'll impress you with my diving skills" - totally canon.

I want to know why no one ever gives Logan a career that goes along with his math/science geekiness. Calculus as a junior and all, the "Nature" type pictures in his bedroom. (As opposed to English where he was in Weevil's class - not that Weevil isn't bright, but he doesn't seem very school oriented, so to me that says it's probably not honors.)

sadie kate love the snippets of Veronica and Logan, I think you found their voices perfectly. And I so wish we could have had a flashback of the two of them playing scrabble on the show. You wrote that scene beautifully.

Can someone help me? I'm trying to remember the name of the AU fic where Logan asks Veronica out before Duncan. And then later at Shelly's party, Lilly slips Veronica the roofie.

In my marathon of fic reading this week, I read one where Logan is at Veronica's apartment, sitting and reading on her couch while holding her hand. It was such a nice read - of course I can't recall the name or site to go back and re-read it. Anyone have any idea? Thanx.

tiana, Stay is now one of my favorite fics ever. You have their banter and heart exactly right.

I'd like to recommend the darkly twisted, "arguably AU" fic by Crackopuff. It's Duncan/Lilly. Yeah. But the smut has just the right level of hotness and wrongness and it lays out the relationship in a believable (to me anyways) way.

The old story (Truth) and one of the new stories (and she laughs) are all about Veronica. One is third person, one is second person. Falling Stunts is a Meg POV story about Veronica and all the people around her. Bitchy Meg is so much fun. In the Sunshine is second person and alternates between Meg, Veronica, and Lilly.

Do any of you know of any good Logan/Veronica friendship fic, pre Lilly's death? I'm looking for anything that shows what they were to each other, when she was in love with Duncan and he with Lilly.

Thanks for all the great feedback on my recent fic, everyone. I've had a crap-ass day, and it's so nice to come in here and read such nice things. I appreciate it more than I can say.

Everyone else was being subtle. I thought that it would require less skill to be blatantly obvious, and I was right.

I read a fic a while back that I loved, and now can't remember the name or author. It was sort of Veronica/Logan prior to Lilly's death. It had Veronica, Duncan, Logan and Lilly watching movies at the Kanes', and Veronica and Logan go into the kitchen to make sandwiches.

Clearly, I am terrible at description, because I am making it sound like the most boring fic ever, when it was awesome, I swear. It has a lot of sublte, subconscious sexual tension between V&L. Does anyone recognize this and know where it is?

Muppet, I totally know that fanfic. But I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. Sorry. Hopefully someone else can refresh my memory.

I just got my internet back a few weeks ago (hurrah!) and have been lurking and loving all of the wonderful fic here. This board is like, my bible for good fan fic recs. I've written a few pieces back in the day, but I'm stepping out of the LoVe now and I'm looking for a beta. Any ideas on how/where to get help? Thanks in advance!
