Chapter 7 of

Agent Laura, thanks so much for the shout out. I'm tickled beyond measure to be included in that illustrious group of authors.

Ah, TrueMyth, you beat me to it. ;)
Sorry I didn't get the chapter posted earlier, Agent Laura. Hopefully, you'll have internet access soon! :) And thanks, RedFlora and mutinousmuse for the love. I appreciate it and hope you enjoy the new chapter!
So, like TrueMyth said, the next chapter of Holding the Curve IS up. Thanks again for all the feedback! :D

Help! I read a fanfic awhile ago that included a new character Mark Manning, twin brother to Meg. But I can't remember where it was posted? Does anyone know where I can find it? There were two different stores with the Mark character....

Wow, I just started reading some of the fanfics here and they are *amazing.* I'm hooked on a few and dieing for you all to update them.
TrueMyth, I have to say that I *love* Holding the Curve. I was amazed at how well you write the characters. I've never seen anyone write a fanfic character so true to the actually character. Wonderful job, and PUHL-EASE update soon. :} Chapter 7 isn't the last one is it? :(

foolofeveryone,
TrueMyth announced the new chapter of Holding the Curve because she's way faster than me and well, she's just a sweetheart! :) I am the author of it and I really appreciate your comments! I am always obsessed with keeping fanfic characters in character, so your compliment is a wonderful one to hear! Thanks for reading. :)

Me too,
JenJenL. The last chapter really left us hanging. I couldn't remember who the author is, so I went and looked for it. It is
jwynn over at livejournal. I don't know if she hangs out here or not. But if you do, jwynn, new chapter? Pretty please? *flutters eyelashes*

Heh, as I said, I'm very very sorry. :)
It always bothers me the tiniest bit when the characters are... well... completely out of character, so I was thrilled to read your fic. :D
ETA: Oh, and Chapter 7 is definitely not the last one. Not by a long shot. ;)
Ooh, goodies! I didn't think it was, but then when I reconsidered the title "Game Over." I was afraid that you might have been ending it. Glad to hear you're not and I cannot wait till you put up the next chapter!

Hey, no big deal!
TrueMyth was just enthusiastic about me posting a new chapter, which was very nice and flattering, and posted a link so the other posters here would know. I'm a little slow on self-pimping. ;) But it's no problem - don't be embarrassed! :) I'm glad you liked the fic so much!

Ahh, I see. I should put the old 'To Be Continued' at the end of each chapter to prevent such a thought. ;)
Thanks again for the enthusiastic response!

Sorry for the confusion. I wish I wrote "Holding the Curve." UST is so juicy. However, Logan always seems to want to take his pants off in my stories. So frustrating.
And mutinousmuse, I can't update the countdown without, well... the passage of time. That's kinda the point. But the drabbles are fun, aren't they? Thanks for the pimp.

You mean it doesn't work backwards, truemyth? Like, if you do the post for, say, 15 days left right now, then there's suddenly only 15 days left. I thought that's how it worked. Grrrrr.
I have idea for a fanfic for someone to write: Veronica Mars and that geeky science kid with the scary gangster Dad from episode *mumblemumble* invent a time machine, enabling thousands of VM fans to be transported forward in time to 9/28. Try to make it one of those post-modern, space-time-continuum-warping, "I write it and it happens - how odd!" kind of things.
The winner gets a cookie.

JenJenL
Sep 2, 2005 @ 9:52 am
etrnlscribbler, I think security guard, seriously!, and work his way up (if his boss can get over his arrest record). He has the leadership skills, street smarts, and knows when things are fishy. Other ideas: mechanic, bounty hunter, salesman in a motorcycle shop, maybe a handyman/construction crew.

Head of a construction crew may be too advanced, if he's just starting out of community college. Maybe just part of the crew?
JenJenL
Sep 2, 2005 @ 2:13 pm
How far in the future is this set? I can see his job as salesman at a motorcycle shop leading to many funny, snarky moments with motorcycle posers, like guys who are trying to be cool and/or tough and just aren't or guys trying to recapture their cool but need to be buying a minivan instead. That might be fun to write and definitely fun to read. Since I have no idea what you're writing, I don't know if that is what you are going for.

Okay, so now I am daunted, but I thought I'd try again with two more fic challenges, even though there haven't been any responses to my first two. These are both AU challenges: the first is, what if Logan had confronted Lilly at the carwash on Oct. 3, 2003, rather than just leaving her a note? The second is, what if Logan and Veronica had found Lynn alive at that hotel in RB, instead of findng Trina masquerading as Lynn? I thought it would be cool to read stories exploring those two possibilities, so hopefully someone will think it would be cool to write one.
Woo-hoo! Thanks sadie kate.
