Hey, guys. I'm so glad to read that you all enjoyed "Weird Science". All this research to keep the scripts accurate is tough. But I'm on the last script now. The research is done and I'm onto the fun part - dialog! So, with a little luck, and a lot of time, "Games People Play" will be up for your reading pleasure this weekend.
Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback.

queen hag, I'm working on it as we speak and then it goes to skk for beta. So, fingers crossed, it will be done by Wednesday.
As for right now, I have something new to be posted shortly... after I finish 14B, of course :)

Hi all,
I HAVE to pimp
TrueMyth's seriously fantastic entry for the TWOP challenge.

I will second that pimp. True Myth's new fic is fantastic. I read it and just went guh.
Sometimes I forget how wonderful non-L/V fic can be.

A Love-Hate Thing is awesome. I need another update.
skk, as usual your script was amazing. I can't wait for the next one. You do research for your scripts; that is so cool.
TrueMyth, I almost didn't read your fic since I hate Madison. But I am so glad I did. That was incredible. The last line....I had to go and read the whole thing over again. I did not see that coming.
Y'all are so talented here.

A crossover fic with Las Vegas. Will be a series of an undetermined number.
2.01 - Drawing BloodAs always, major thanks to skk, who will also be a major contributor to the scripts.

Thanks, Sophia Bee and CookieChica! But now what am I to do with my lovely self-pimping gold chains and purple fur?
Laurgan, I'm glad you took a chance on my fic. I love shallow Madison, but I dedicate my fic to Amanda Noret and her lovely bit of subtle acting in ATttD, which inspired me to wonder what exactly she was thinking when Veronica claimed she'd been drugged.

Ethereal65, I am truly, madly, deeply head over heels in love with your VM/LV crossover script. Your script (and of course the promise of more) has made me insanely happy. Danny, Mike AND Logan all together?!! I just might spontaneously combust from the hotness!
I would go on about more but wouldn't want to inadvertently spoil anyone here that hasn't read it yet...

I want to rec this awesome Cliff fic by
InigoMontoya (Veronica, Logan, Keith, and Lamb are also featured). It's for the vmfanficutopia challenge.

Ohh, a rec. Thanks ladevotchka, that's so kind.

Very entertaining fic InigoMontoya, but alas no cookie for me. I didn't get some of the references. Damn.
You write Cliff really well and I enjoyed the verbal sparring with the Mars.

When I think about me, I pimp myself. And thus, I am pimping my new fic. It's a little A/U diversion, set partway through WoCD, conjecturing what might have happened if Logan had stopped Veornica from leaving the Camelot.

Thanks for the nice comments on my fic - both here and in my LJ - sadie kate! I really appreciate them! Loved your latest. It's a nicely worked out 'what if?' scenario and I clearly enjoy those quite a bit. ;)

Aug 16, 2005 @ 7:55 pm
I'm going to indulge in a little bit of self-pimping. I just posted a new piece. It's from Connor Larkin's perspective and shows his reaction to the events of LitB.

Thanks, nikki. I think it's just a one-shot, but one never knows.
Heh, tiana. I'm a big fan of the "what if". I'm actually kind of jelaous you thought up your scenario before I did.
And everyone, definitely read the piece by CookieChica. It rocks.

I'm a big fan of the "what if". I'm actually kind of jelaous you thought up your scenario before I did.
Many of my BtVS fics were/are either episode rewrites or 'what if?' type fics, so it's definitely a thing with me that is continuing in the VM fandom. ;) I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees a fic posted and kicks myself for not coming up with it first! It's especially hard when I've written part of the same idea, but not posted it. I write it off to 'great minds think alike...' and all that. Makes me feel better. ;)

I have a couple new ficlets out.
#1: Deliciously dark V/L Logan POV fic
101 Ways#2. An unfortunate (or fortunate, if you are
SadieKate) incidence of LambSlash and the abuse of the perfectly decent english word, manhole.

CookieChica, I enjoyed your story. It's interesting to me to read POV's from secondary characters, opens up a whole new world of perspective.
This line
Well, it really matters very little what you think. We need to think whatever eighteen to thirty-four year olds think.”
is hilarious. I can see a publicist saying that.
sadie kate, nice story, as usual. The "what-if" fics are my favorites right now and you described it so well, I can see everything in my head.
I'm never going to get anything done in rl, if I keep coming in here looking for fics.

I've dabbled with fanfic before, but only recently started up on my VM craze so I'm going to shamelessly pimp my two one parters:
I'll Be Upstairs... or something - It's a Lilly snark fic.
Crimson and Clover - Veronica doesn't learn about the GHB and makes it to her date with Logan.

I've been tearing through the fic posted on this board (in typical obessessive newbie fashion), and I am overwhelmed by the utter and complete fabulousness people have produced. Recent posts that have particulary blown me away include School Daze by ethereal65, It's Always Business with You by kur, pretty much everything ever posted by sadie_kate and Sopia_Bee, skk670's scripts, and Holding the Curve by tiana.
There are many more, but I feel like I just over-shout-outed, so I'll stop now. You guys are amazing!

I have not posted a in awhile but had no choice after reading School Daze.
ethereal65 I do hope you have plans for future fanfics. PS. I loved Agent 908 too!
Also, A big Thank You!!!!!!!!!! to all you talented writers. I don't think I have ever read a bad flic from this thread. This is the place to find the best VM Fanflic!!!! Well, maybe LJ but, hey they even get a bad one once in a while.
I am sending cyber New York Cheesecake to all. Enjoy!

No one showed much (any) interest in my previous fanfic challenge, but, undaunted, I have decided to post another one. Take any one of the encounters between Jake and Veronica during season one and write about what was going on in Jake's head during the encounter. It can be as major an encounter as their confrontation in the Echolls' study in AEFC, or as minor as when Duncan was inaugurated as student council president; Jake presumably noticed Veronica in the room snapping pictures when Duncan announced the expansion of the Pirate Points program. If anyone does try this out, there will be prizes (not of any actual value) to the story I like best.

glitter, I just read that, and I loved it. I really like reading "missing scene" fics. Good job!
I was also elated to see an update for Forty Miles from the Sun, even though it broke my heart into itty, bitty little pieces :)
I've been reading everything that gets posted, and there's so much good stuff out there! So kudos to all authors!
ethereal, I just read the Las Vegas crossover fic and absolutely loved it! I've only seen one ep of Las Vegas, so I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it was great. More?
And Tiana, I'm anxiously awaiting more of Holding the Curve. You're doing such an excellent job with it. I passed it along to ny best friend, and she keeps asking me if I know when there will be more :)
