I'm starting to fault Nick for some of Messicka's behavior. My husband would never let me act that way. And I don't mean in a "I'm the boss" kind of way. I mean, he needs to tell her "Look, start acting like an adult. The cutesy ditzy act isn't working. When I'm talking, have some respect and listen to me. This is a marriage, and we need to communicate." He lets her treat him like crap.
I don't think he was wrong in the restaurant. I think I remember reading something about it somewhere else. The waiters were being rude on purpose, and that pissed him off. Does anyone else remember reading something?
I wonder if Mess realizes that she's not the prettiest girl on her show anymore. KaySee is gorgeous. Really beautiful.
Word on the Jamie Lynn thing. She looked so out of place.

Which is even more reason for Jessica to quit putting up with Cacee's flirtatous behavior towards Nick. Jessica is not fulfilling his needs, and we all know Cacee is more than willing to give him whatever he wants. One of these days...

I had no idea what JL Sigler and her husband, eyebrow, were doing there either but okie. I thought it was pretty hilarious, if they're supposed to be friends, how ... uncomfortable and clueless Sigler seemed about Jessuck's behaviour. Eyebrow also looked at her a number of times like WTF? As would I god knows, but I don't pal around with her.
Hilarious they cut out the majority of the booing and that Jessuck seemed to think Ashley sounded just great!

I spotted JLD's hubby on the episode where Nick celebrated his 30th awhile ago.
I find nothing attractive about Cacee. And when she opens her mouth to talk it just reinforces my feelings. She sounds like a dumb fuck hilbilly. No disrepect to the hilbilys (sp) out there.
I like Nick but for some reason he was grating on my nerves tonight.

ColdGreg, your posts always crack me up.
Did they ever mention the restaurants name? I'm suprised any decent restaurant would let their employees be rude on purpose to patrons, especially on camera. I can't fault Nick for being an ass about her getting her dress spilled on. I'm pretty sure my fiance would do the same thing; either that or wait for me to quietly call the manager over and let him know that not only will my meal be free, but he will be footing my drycleaning bill as well. The waiter laughing about it actually pissed me off. Just go do it back in the kitchen, guy.
An extremely annoying moment for me was Jessica's gum rolling around in her mouth on that boat. She was also chomping away on about 3 pieces of Bubbalicious when the show started to. It was almost enough to bring my Jessica tolerance to a complete stop. I really just cannot stand watching people chomp away on gum like a piece of food they will never ever swallow.
::shakes it off:: Ahem. Anyway. I'm with
nique---I don't think Cacee is pretty either. This is probably based on the fact that she has zero personality or likeability, and I think she's dumber than Jessica. Because I think Jessica's plays up the dumb act, but that Cacee is the dumb one. YMMV.
Geez, do you think since she married a sports nut she might be better about his passion for it? If Nick were my husband, I'd think his....exuberance while watching a game is adorable. He's practically glowing when he's into a game. He had pure joy on his face. Damn, can she give him
that?! Listen, I like Jessica for no real reason. I just do. But she seriously needs to grow up and be a fucking real wife to Nick. I hate the way she belittles him or blows him off in front of their friends, usually taking another person's side. If I can see it in his face, why can't she? She doesn't seem to appreciate what she has. Shit, I'm engaged and I have a baby, but I'm tempted to offer to give Nick some kids and treat him right. So long as those cheating remors aren't true, that is....
I miss season one, when they actually hugged and kissed and spent actual time together. I miss trips with Drew and Leah. :frown:

See, I think Cacee is also gorgeous and out of the two, definitely the brains. I think Cacee, last season, played dumb as well. But in this recent one she just seems fed up and like, rolls her eyes at Jessica, like even she's tired of it. And for that, I love her.
But I actually thought it was cute of Jessica to praise Kelly & then defend her little sis. That was an actual genuine moment for me, as contrived as some might believe. I know my older sister was always pulling for me and wanted me to do well, and I honestly believe that Jessica was pulling for Ashlee.
And how freaking adorable was Nick during that game?
Oh, another look of death from Jessica over dinner - did y'all catch him muttering about it being the most sex he's had all week when he was wiping the butter off her ass? HA. But hey, I'd be pissed too, that dress was GORGEOUS. I was surprised she was as calm about it as she was.

ETA: Holy CRAP! That was Jamie Lynn Discala?! How did I miss that?
My thoughts exactly! I consider myself pretty pop culture literate, but I totally missed her.
Clearly they were trying to emphasize that Nick is a USC fanatic, with all the whooping and hollering, but we already knew that. I didn't mind him getting excited during the game one single bit. He's passionate about his sports and his team. Jessica should just accept that.
For all the talk about only being allowed 18 people in the suite, there didn't seem to be even close to that number in the suite at any time. Where was Ashlee's entourage? I would have liked to see the post halftime performance meltdown. Perhaps it'll be in her own show?
Jessica driving a car...how very boring. Where's all the candid funny moments on the set?
Nick's been labeled as frugal in the past. Yet this season he's been spending money left and right- the halloween decorations, the christmas tree and decorations, the Miami house and trip, and now the in-house studio. That studio easily must have cost at least $10,000, and that's without the equipment.

I believed he threw in the word drunk as well. Now, maybe it's just me, but when I'm drunk I'll sing along to just about anything in the world. Loved Jessica's comment about AssCrackLee "hitting the notes" like it's unusual.
Not caring about her dress? Didn't surprise me, I'm sure she'll never wear that dress again anyway, given the state of her closet.
The recording studio? Was a depressing scene. Everytime Nick does something and gets excited and says he can't wait for Jessica to see it, she turns into a bitch. Does anyone else remember reading something [about the restaurant]?
I certainly do remember, and I was actually glad that Nick’s attitude was justified. Although, judging by the place being out of almost everything and the restaurant being almost empty, they probably went after it was closed. Wait staff was probably not thrilled to have to work late to accommodate fucking Jessica Simpson.
I wonder if Mess realizes that she's not the prettiest girl on her show anymore. KaySee is gorgeous. Really beautiful.
When CaCee was sitting on the Duke’s set, I thought she looked just like 8 years ago Posh Spice (before she got leathery and skeltor). CaCee does have some great hair and bone structure.
Jamie Jamie Jamie. I like you, I really do. I think your marriage (while quite Celine Dion creepy) is pretty cute. Please don’t make me hate you by association. Get some new friends.
And Simpson family: just because you say something over and over, that doesn’t make it true. “
Ashlee sounded great! She hit every note! Our marriage is fantastic!” I call bullshit every time.
Also, I hate Jessica with some real passion, but I adore her casual wardrobe. That red blazer, red/white scarf belt, cute jeans, and white flower she was sporting at the set was amazing. I will give her props for having some pretty cute style.

Agreed. Even if the restaurant was closed, I'm guessing MTV paid the staff a fat tip, and there's no excuse for laughing after you spilled butter on one of your customers. I would have opened a can of beeeotch if that had happened to me. And the food looked terrible! It looked like Nick had half a cow, and nothing else, on his plate.

I didn't particularly care for the ring, but I think the whole reason why she wore it was because it matched her dress. How many carats did she say it was? 8? I don't know how much an emerald or whatever that was must cost, but I'd be semi-pissed also if somebody looked at it and then proceeded to drop it on the floor. What if it was scratched or damaged?
It seemed like they were in a private dining room at Smith and Wollensky's. They are a notable steakhouse, so I would expect nothing but great service. I'm kind of surprised that the head waiter wouldn't come over and apologize for their sloppiness.

Emeralds cost more than any other stone, even diamonds. Emeralds without inclusions are extrememly rare and worth a TON of money. A TON. (we have jewelers in the family). They are also really really soft and crack very easily. So I can understand why Jessica freaked a little, but it was *too* reasonable for her. I'm surprised she even cared since she things money grows on trees. I thinks he did it just to be a bitch.
I hate Jessica, and I can't believe I am defending her in any way, shape, or form.
I have a feeling that the waiters didn't think Nick was too serious because he kept saying "who spilled the butter on my wife's ass?" instead of something like "who spilled the butter on her DRESS" or something a little less rude. Not that Jessucka doesn't deserve it. But I can't believe Nick didn't push the matter or get up to go speak to management. I have to wonder if there's always stuff like this happening when the cameras are off and he's just tired of it all.
The fact that the steakhouse was out of almost everything on the menu points to the fact they probably stayed there extra late for the Jessica/Nick dinner, but it was still completely rude of the waiter to drop the food.

I am sad to say that I missed the Orange Bowl this year. I was still trying to recover from my Hawkeyes and their AMAZING win over LSU (/end of pathetic shout out). But you know, their expensive suite didn't even have good seats. They were in the corner and appeared to be fairly high up. We were in the fifth row, 35 yard line at the Capital One Bowl and I think we only had to pay $60 a ticket. Score: 1 for me, Rich people 0.

Nick originally thought the suite he was offered was for him and Jessuck and their friends, and was then told that the suite owners were planning to have Ashley and her party in the same suite.
That's why he wanted to know how many people Ashley was bringing, so that he could find tickets for anyone he'd planned to have in the suite that would be displaced.
However, we never saw Ashley show up, iirc, and Nick said he'd procured some tickets for people to make room for Ashley and her entourage, which is why I think it looked so empty. If Ashley and Ma and CreepyPa showed up, with some friends, it'd fill up. Which was a blathering way of saying there was only one suite.

Nick's own series will be starting in a few weeks, about recording his new album. It's possible MTV kicked in for the studio.
Somebody said she loves stories about Jessica on coke? Direct from one FT poster:
To further add to the speculation of Jessica doing cocaine, I was in a waiting room today chatting with this woman for a while. She was telling me about how her daughter wanted to get into acting, but she doesn't want her to, because too many of them get into trouble with drugs and all. I didn't even say a word, and what does she tell me? One of her friends owns a bar in New Orleans and told her, in reference to many of the celebrities in town recently for movies, etc., that "They were all asking for it ("it" obviously meaning cocaine). Lindsey Lohan and Jessica Simpson included."

I don't have any clue why, but I have a hard time believing the stories about Jess doing coke. I can totally see Lohan and her crew doing it, but I'd be surprised if Jessica did. Again, I don't know why. (In fact, I've attempted writing down a couple loose theories, but deleted them all. I can't even make one up.)
Watching this episode again, the dinner seen REALLY disturbs me. It almost seems more genuine, or something. Jessica comes across as slightly less ditzy (squid talk not withstanding) and Nick (and Jess's reaction to him) gives off slightly creepy, abusive-boyfriend vibes. (I'm referring to when he gets more upset about the dress, and she keeps saying "it's okay". ) All in all, a little unsettling.

I think Jessica is too stupid to do coke- not that doing coke is smart at all, but it does take some organization and planning, neither of which she seems to know how to manage in any way, shape, or form. Her doing coke reminds me of when Woody Allen did coke (was it in Annie Hall?), sneezed, and blew the whole stash into thin air.
Plus, since she has no grasp on how to behave, I could see her blurting it out and giggling about it.

At first I agreed that Jessica wouldn't do coke, but then I remembered her alcohol binge before Nick's grandma's wedding. She was on a bender! And I think she drank a lot at her birthday party, too. Of course, those are social occasions, but she seemed to be pretty into drinking a lot and partying. So the next step would be to try a drug, especially if it's offered to you by "cool" celebrities like Johnny and Lindsay. I think she had stronger values when she was younger but she's gotten so into the Hollywood lifestyle now. And of course, coke will help her stay super-skinny.
But then, what would Nick do if he found out she was doing coke? I can't see him tolerating that. Beer is his drug of choice and I get the feeling he would be very anti-drug, for himself, his wife, and his family, at least. Yet who can say?

I was surprised by Jessica at the dinner and think she handled it better than Nick. For sure, I thought that she would be the one carrying on and maybe even having a cry over it but she was the one saying that it's fine and to try and get to Nick to not carry on. It was Nick who was the one causing a scene. I have to say the look that Jessica shot Nick when he said that it was the most sex that he had all week, that would be the exact same look that I would have shot my husband as well. I don't know if it's friends or not but you don't talk about your sex life or lack of sex life to your friends like that, whether or not you are joking. That I am on Jessica's side.

If you've been watching from the beginning, you'll remember that no topic is off limits or too intimate as far as Jessica is concerned. She is the one who was always blabbing about their personal lives to everyone around and the cameras, too. Remember when she said she would kiss hairy Nick's ass if he wanted her to? She wasn't talking about kowtowing to him, she meant sexually. So if he's revealing too much she certainly set the precedent.

Juliaz3, I have been watching from the beginning and remember that conversation and even through I felt it was way too much information, it was done in front of Drew and Leah. For me, even through I don't talk like that in front of my sister and her husband, it would be something that if me and the husband had to joke about our sex life, our siblings would be the ones that we joke in front of. Not in a resturant where you are around a dinner people full of people. I don't know but just the look that she gave, made me laugh because it's something that I would do myself.
As for the half time performance that was jessica geniuely concern for Ashley and I have to say it's the first time that I have seen her like that. As soon as Kelly was having problems, you saw Jessica get worried and she even said I hope this is fixed when my sister comes on. She was just sitting there with the jacket over her mouth looking so worried.
