I thought I heard Kwame say $35,001 not $35,100. It seemed that he was looking for that Price Is Right one dollar difference just in case the other team settled on $35,000 even.

Did I miss hear it?

Preview: "Oma... Rosa... is... back!"

I only hope it's as good as the hype!

It was mentioned about a month ago that Omarosa was seen with Kwame at a Jessica Simpson concert. They were organizing it back in October. According to the source, Kwame wins the competition that night.
whip1
I hadn't heard that he won the competition, only that he was spotted with Omarosa at the concert, and I do believe I read the blog where the Omarosa picture was posted originally.
columbiatch
I don't know if Kwame wins, but I heard a fanstastic spoiler today. Apparently, Kwame's final task is in Vegas and he comes up with some idea that is so incredible and amazing that he has many many offers in the gaming industry if the Trump thing falls through.

I finally got on the guest list for Kwame's viewing parties (you'd thing a very cute, double ivy venture capital lawyer would have some pull!!!) and I got stuck at work. I'm hoping to make it next week and hoping that it provides good stories.
spice
Wow, a "guest list"? How do you find out about these viewing parties? Does Kwame have a website with info on time&place?

Oh, Jay Leno said that Troy will be on the Tonight Show tomorrow night.
Tashanir

or is Wrigley Ms. Wrigley?

It is indeed Ms. Wrigley, SerendipityCA. You get points for not jumping to conclusions!

Was your source there? Interesting info.

Why is Kwame hosting viewing parties?
columbiatch
My source has a relative who is involved in casinos in Vegas and was asked to be involved in that task (I think she declined though).

The viewing party invite I got from a friend who is a friend of a friend of Kwame's. It was at LQ tonight. Not sure where next week.
lynettefl
Thanks.

BTW, the photo of Omarosa and Jessica is on Page 14 of this thread.
goobaletta
Thanks, lynettefl, for reminding me about that. I found the website for that keyboard guy's band that has the pix from the Jessica Simpson concert. HERE find a slide show of the concert at the Taj Mahal. Apparently TD intro'd Jessica and Omiseria appeared on stage during a charity auction of some fugly hats. Not sure if the hats belonged to Jessica or what. Nothing new, really, but for the pic of TD.
lynettefl
You are welcome.

I watched Trump introducing Jessica on THE NEWLYWEDS. It was at Taj Mahal, so the last task must be in Vegas.

I actually went to Kwame's viewing party last night and it was fun and I saw a lot of people from my undergrad and grad school. It's like a mixer for young professionals. That guy who got fired first was there and nobody paid him any mind. Kwame, on the other hand, was pretty popular. You could tell he knew a lot of folks there and he was always surrounded by a handful of women. I love the Apprentice and watch it at home all the time, but watching it in that group atmosphere was so much better. Granted, I missed a lot, and chatted with folks for much of the show, but at the end, when Kwame and Troy were facing Donald, it was silent. The energy was great and I plan to go to the remaining viewing parties. I'm not sure if there's only one or two, as I figure Kwame needs to be at the last one since it's live and in AC.

I'm still surprised that Trump picked Kwame over Troy based on the education factor. I just didn't know it carried any weight with him.
Maxwell
" Do you have to have an invitation to join the vewing parties or are they open to the general public?

Troy was just on the Today show having his morning after interview with Matt Lauer. The comment that caused me to pause was when asked by Matt who he thought would win, Troy said "Kwame...I hope Kwame goes all the way".

At this point, don't you think Troy would know who the final two are (or at least the final 3, if the final works that way) ? Is this a bit of a leak, that Troy may be saying Kwame is in the final 2?
Tashanir
Hi....I do some work with the guy who coordinates the viewing parties here in NYC. Feel free to e-mail me (just click on my username link) and I'll get you on the guest list.

I don't really think it was the lack of a formal degree that did Troy in as much as it was his lack of business polish and the somewhat 'used car salesman' vibe that he gave off. That just wouldn't cut it in Trump's organization, much less in a cut-throat, hard-core corporate business environment in NYC (JMO), even if Troy did have a college degree (and having grown up in the Deep South around a lot of 'good ole boys', I knew plenty of them with degrees, even advanced ones, that didn't have the polish needed for a top-flight organization like Trump's).

I was thinking this, but the answers have vaired. Omarosa said Bill. Katrina said Nick, and Troy says Kwame.
GranolaMommy
I think that they probably answer based upon who it would make the most sense for them to support based upon who is "left" when they are fired. For example, if Troy had said he hoped Nick would wil, we would KNOW it was a spoiler, because based on what we have seen of the relationships, he would be pulling for Kwame all the way. Katrina then would pull for Nick because she wants the guy Amy thinks she's playing to turn it around on her.
Lykke
Maxwell, I got invited b/c I know someone who's friends with Kwame, but I gather that the invites are not that difficult to obtain.

The Taj Mahal is in Atlantic City as was that episode of Newlyweds.

Maybe another apprentice goes to Vegas? The spoilers put Kwame in Atlantic City. In a lot of ways having them split up would be a lot better test than the dueling promos in last week's episode.
lynettefl

No, what I meant is that since the second to last task is at the Taj Mahal, then the last challenge must be in Vegas.
MandolinViola
I don't know what Trump did in Vegas last fall, but he's certainly planning on doing something in Vegas in the near future. This article was dated March 1:
Donald Trump officially has a gaming license in Nevada, after the state gaming commission gave him unanimous approval last week. What "The Apprentice" mastermind is going to do with that license is still in question, and the Donald is not letting any cats out of any bags.

So something like a concert or promotion wouldn't be out of the question, but I don't think they could've do anything like the gambling task from 2 episodes ago.
luminaire
OK. This was from way upthread, but someone posted that they saw The Apprentice people filming at the Taj Mahal, and that Omarosa "ran" the Jessica Simpson concert, and that the episode they were filming was supposed to be quite important to the series. I think I saw posted somewhere else that Kwame was also spotted at this concert with Omarosa. So can we conclude that Kwame does not get fired within the first 20 min of the next episode, and is one of the final two?
Tashanir
Okay...I'm confused. Next week they fire two people. Then the following week (the finale) the 2 remaining candidates each maange 2 seperate tasks?

So, then, if there are two tasks, and the two remaining contestants are competing against each other, and one is more successful than the other....then would n't that person who is more successful be the winner?

Ad if this is true...then why would Trump continue to say that eh doesn't know who wins yet if he has a definitve winner to the final task?

I don't know that they've announced the format of the final other than there will be two finalists, the first hour will be taped and the second live.

I don't think it's been determined that there will be a final task with a head-to-head element, or that such a task, if it takes place, will have a "winner." But if there is a final task (just speculating here), then like the regular shows, it's possible that the winner (of the task) will be revealed in the second (live) hour, and even DT doesn't know who it is.

Be that as it may, DT would never allow the final decision to come down to who won a single head-to-head competition. He and he alone will select the final apprentice based on who he thinks would be best. Maybe the final task will come into play - maybe the two finalists will have to defend their strategies on that task in the final BR - or maybe it will be a fuzzy task without a clear winner - or maybe there won't be a task at all, but a series of job interviews with tough questions about season-long performance.

{edited to change "serious of job interviews" to "series of job interviews"}
RhondaGC
Yep, yep. The finalists are definitely Kwame and Amy. The only two MBAs left.

I'm guessing they are assigned separate tasks, Kwame the concert and Amy the golf tourney (didn't someone earlier say they had seen pics of Amy in golf clothes?) How Donald will choose based on the tasks is a mystery, but I'm guessing he will just use them to give him one last look at the candidates before making his choice. In fact, it may be that there won't be any objective standard of measurement (like how much money each event brings in or something--which would be difficult to compare anyway). Instead, TD can just watch how well his finalists perform under the pressure of something so high profile.

I'm wondering if each of the finalists is assigned a person from the past that they have had conflict with to work with in coordinating the events so Trump can get a better idea how they deal with difficult people. (Like Kwame is assigned Omarosa just to see how he manages her). I don't know if this is what will happen, but I think it would be interesting if it were so. I've been having fun speculating about who each person would be assigned (or who I'd like to see):

Amy is assigned--Katrina (heh)

And, although I don't think they will be finalists:

Bill --------- Troy (double heh)
Nick--------Sam (or maybe Jason, that could be interesting)

Just some fun speculation now that we know O is coming back.

Seeing Kwame deal with O will be very interesting. Maybe Trump wants to get an idea of exactly how much it takes to break that calm, composed, unruffled exterior.

I am so MB's whore.

ETA: OMG!!!!! I just saw the "new" preview, at least one that was new to me. It starts out exactly like the old one, but after saying that Omarosa is back it says, "But so is Troy!" and shows a shot of Troy sitting with Kwame and both laughing!

So, that may or may not support the theory above. Or it indicates that all the contestants are coming back in some capacity (I just noticed that the original preview said, after revealing that O was coming back, "and that's just the beginning". I don't know if that last part was referring just to Troy, or if it means many, or all, of the firees will return. I. Cannot. Wait!)
jcpdiesel21
I just saw in the latest commercial that Troy will be back in the next episode. So, RhondaGC, you may be on to something there.
RhondaGC
So, you think O is back to torture Kwame and Troy is back to harass Bill? Ah, more Bitchy Bill to come. Just imagine.
goobaletta
Woohoo! Troy's coming back! *happy dance*

Rhonda, that's EXACTLY what I thought.
RhondaGC
May I join you in your happy dance, goobaletta? I was so not ready to let go of Troy. Especially after his adorableness on Leno last night. *Sigh* and *Woohoo!*

So maybe, just maybe that means the lovebirds (I use that term loosely) are gone after the BR next week? God I hope so. Amy is grating on my last nerve.
Words
Those were old clips of both Kwame and Troy.
jcpdiesel21
Those were old clips of both Kwame and Troy.
That doesn't necessarily mean anything. They may show older clips in the commercial instead of using new footage.
Cat Lady
I know that there are pics of Kwamee and Omarosa at the concert, but to me, it doesn't make sense as to why they would pair him with her if it is a test of how they handle difficult people. Kwamee doesn't get rattled about ANYTHING and to tell you the truth, I would think that Sammy would get under his skin more than her. Katrina would be a good match for Amy, but Omarosa really rattled Amy more.

It's going to be interesting! I'm really sad to see Troy gone though! :(
Wrigley
Don't worry CatLady . . . Troy will be back on Thursday!
Cat Lady
Can't wait Wrigley! ;)
lynettefl
Hmmm...could it be that Kwame is fired during the first 20 minutes, and he and Omarosa team up to organize Jessica Simpson's concert for Bill, Amy, or Nick?
Jill
I'm wondering if each of the finalists is assigned a person from the past

Katrina was on the radio here in Miami last week and she said
Keep watching... We're ALL coming back

Meaning, more than likely, the final two get to pick their teams 1-for-1 (like when they split the girls and guys) to work on the final task.
goobaletta
Gad. I wonder who ends up with Tammy, David, the slumlord, and Babytalk? Not to mention the HeatherBFFs.

I wouldn't mind having Bowie, Kristi, Heidi, or Troy on my team. Or even Sam if he'd follow instructions and I'm thinking he would because it would be his seemingly last shot at impressing Trump since I'm supposing this occurred long before Sam donned drag for the Miss USA commercial.
Gruven
Oh no they finally got rid of him, why please why is he coming back? (troy)
Accygirl
Because he's funny, an underdog and alot of people like him
RainIsBeautiful
Also, they're bringing everyone back...not just Troy.
tracyinqueens
Also, they're bringing everyone back...not just Troy.

So this means we have to look at Jason's sniveling face again? Ugh.

Wonder if it's going to be a Survivor-esque jury thing? I can't wait to see.
kerrey92
That's my thought too, TracyinQueens, is that the bootees are coming back to vote on who the winner will be, which also plays into Trump's claiming that he doesn't know who the winner is.
YourDensity
See, I'd like it better if each of the remaining people had to PM a group of formerly fired "castmembers". Four different teams. And I think it'd be best if they had to negotiate their teams. Like with kickball, leaving Omarosa last picked (ha!)

I think this would show if they know what team-building is, what people's strengths are, how to lead a team of people they've worked with before, and how to work under stress.

Of course they'd have to have some sort of something in place to insure that no one would try to sabotage any of the final 4. (coughOMAROSAcough).

I think it'd be great to see how the final 4 delegate specific tasks and hold a team together, rather than just have people vote. I think the whole team should go to the boardroom though, and the team members should be interviewed about their experience with the PM, specifics etc.
archer1267
There won't be any voting. Donald's making the decision. He'd said "no juries." I suppose people can say "I think so-and-so should win" but it's going to be Trump's decision and his alone to make.
MissStella
I think it'd be great to see how the final 4 delegate specific tasks and hold a team together,

But isn't this what all the tasks so far have been? This has been the PM's responsibility all along - though at least until now, all the team members were (supposedly) motivated to win their task. I'm not sure what it would show us that's new, though I admit I would like to see the kickball team-picking with Omarosa standing there lonely at the end, and the final PM pleading to Trump "do I have to have her?" And eventually the PM would hang his/her head, kick the ground, and mutter "okay". And Omarosa would join the team with a big pageant smile, and later she would interview that her team picked her for her special expertise with the task in question. Yeah, I'm quite enjoying that image.

Truly, yes this has been the objective from the beginning. But back when we had the huuuge clusterfuck that was BIG!GIANT!TEAMS! rather than only 2 PMs, we could see 4 PMs, separately working on 4 different tasks.

Plus now that we know who to focus on: final 4, the viewers can sort of watch them in action, rather than being fixated on specific quibbles and dramatics. Plus, with all the water under the bridge I'd love to see how the PMs handle potential conflict amongst their suboordinates.

Ok, I want to put bugs in a jar and watch them fight.

Seriously, I'd like to see how Kwame works WITHOUT Bill or Troy.. how Nick works WITHOUT Amy, and vice versa. I'd like to see the teams shuffled. And I'd like to see no one able to duck PM this time.
luminaire

Exactly. Burning bridges is the most dangerous thing you can do in business. Some of those people went out on very bitter notes. It would be interesting to see how the PMs handle their teams when their past nemesis comes back to haunt them. Amy gets Katrina, Nicks gets Ereka, Kwame gets Sam, Bill gets Troy. Hee hee...

Seriously, I'd like to see how Kwame works WITHOUT Bill or Troy.. how Nick works WITHOUT Amy, and vice versa.

That would be the real test. They really need to mix things up a bit. I want to see how Kwame performs without riding Troy's charisma and motivation. I'd like to see how Nick performs without riding on the coattails of Bill and Amy. I hope it goes individual soon.
