Where was this cited?

InStyle magazine. Someone posted an excerpt on Warnock's website. The article was discussing the "love triangle" aspect with Amy, Bill and Nick. Apparently there was a picture of a big heart with the 3 of them and Nick torn off.
lordofthemanor
My understanding of how we get from 5 to 2 by the finale is that there are 3 at the beginning of the two hour episode April 15. At the end of the first hour, one more is fired and the last hour shows the last 2 candidates in the final task and then the live announcement of the winner.
isabella19
Globe and Mail tv guide this morning has a blurb on next week's episode that says 'a romance goes sour'. So either Nick and Amy have a major falling-out, or Bill takes a fist to the mirror.
goobaletta
isabella19, hee! "...or Bill takes a fist to the mirror." Well typed!
SerendipityCA
The ultimate winner of this competition will be whoever Trump picks on April 15th.

MommytheK, that was priceless!
RhondaGC
wouldn't that mean that she knows who the final two are?

I've wondered this also. Most of the booted contestants have speculated on who wins at some point, and, although I haven't scientifically studied it yet, I haven't noticed a pattern (like I haven't heard all of them citing the same person or two) so I wonder if some of it is smokescreen. Or maybe each is choosing the person they wanted to win whether they actually did or not.

I know in an interview with Troy I read a couple weeks ago he talked about how he is "cautiously optomistic" that he would win. Unless that was smokescreen, it seems to indicate he is in the final two also. Why else would he be optomistic? But I have to think that MB is playing with our heads. He didn't get into the reality TV business yesterday. He knows what we spoiler whores are like. So I don't think we can read much, if anything, from things that the booted contestants say.
Circling Shark
From AOL/Netscape TV listings, regarding the April 8 episode:

The candidates are subjected to a grueling round of one-on-one interviews with Donald Trump's trusted advisers.

Hmm...hope there is still a task as well.
Wrigley
I think that would be far more interesting to watch than a regular task, especially if footage is inserted to illustrate or contradict the answers of TA's, or as background for George and Carolyn's questions.
spice
Word. Watching George & Carolyn grill the candidates would be far more interesting than a task, especially at this stage in the game. It would be like an extended BR session about their entire performance and conduct. Since the viceroys have been observing them throughout, I'd be curious to see what kind of questions they'd fire at them. If it's anything like Carolyn's decimation of Heidi, I'm sooooo there!

I agree, so long as the "flashbacks" aren't done in a "hokey sitcom rehash episode" manner.

Carolyn: Bill, do you think you've helped teammates when they were underperforming.

Bill: Yes I do, in fact, if you recall from the Trump Ice task... (CLIP)
lynettefl
If Kwame is still in the game, he will do well on April 8. He is a good speaker and analyst.
RhondaGC
Hmmm. I wonder, assuming that the decision about who to boot that week will be based on BR performance, if that is the week we say goodbye to Amy. Because although she performed pretty well in her first BR appearance, I don't see her being able to take on the likes of Troy, Bill and Nick in the BR, especially if they are out to get her. They all have the benefit of much more BR experience and (even though someone will undoubtedly throw eggs at me and call me sexist) I think that type of situation *tends* to favor men's strengths rather than women's. (*Ducks*)

I'm not saying no women do well in those situations (I could see Carolyn kicking butt, for instance) but I don't think Amy has what it takes.

So, my predictions:

Next week: This one is hard, but based on the above and the fact that I, unlike many around here, think Kwame will be in the top three, and possibly the winner--pick Nick for the bootee.

April 8--I predict Amy is a goner

That leaves Troy, Bill and Kwame. I think Bill will be gone after the first hour of the show and the showdown will be between the male BFF.

Of course, I could well be talking out of my ass.

I could well be talking out of my ass

Besides the obvious reason I hope that's not true, I really hope you're incorrect. I'd love to see Bill and one of the dynamic duo make it to the end. They have such differing styles, I'd rather see that happen.

It would be interesting to see Kwame and Troy turn on one another when they haven't been forced to... like when there are just three left, imagine Troy's suprise if Kwame says "Well, Mr. Trump, I'd have to say that between Bill and Troy, Bill certainly is the better prospect." Cue the "duh" look on Troy's face.

Now that would actually make more sense, seeing as either of them would probably rather go up against someone else (if they truly view one another as their greatest competition), and might try to bail on the partnership before the final task to narrow their competition.

Actually? I have no clue. It looks like I'm the one talking out of her ass now.
Grifter
Not that I don't like a good ass-talking-out-of, but I think we are building up to a Kwame-Troy finale. The editing, especially in the last three episodes or so, is really making them out to be a single unit while Nick and Amy already has plenty of cracks in its foudation. I guess this is more speculation so maybe I should head over to that thread.
minxmarx
It looks like two are getting cut in the 4/8 episode. link

I think I might have to die after the final show. Life just won't be the same anymore.
SerendipityCA

Awww, minxmarx, there's always Apprentice 2. Though I don't know how they're going to top this bunch. I sure hope there's somebody (or more than one somebody) we'll love to hate. If they cast another Sam and Omarosa, I'm there!
eatingpaste
I. CANNOT. WAIT. to see Carolyn grill whoever's left.
HeavenLy
I bought the People magazine with "The Secrets of the Apprentice' on the cover. (I don't normally do that. No. Really. I don't.) I noticed that Bill, Troy, and Kwame do not appear in any of those posed photos. Is that a spoiler? Or are these the least famewhorish contestants? Hmmmmm....

As for the Nick/Amy relationship, they looked OK in the pictures. Like bygones...

According to Katrina, Nick is in the final two and she predicts he will win it all. (I heard Heidi also favors him to win). She also says that Amy does get fired along with the other women:

Katrina Spoilers
YourDensity
Wow, just when I thought Katrina was a little young, now I think she's completely horrible on top of it. Why, why, why would any businesswoman say such things about a coworker (Amy) in an interview? I mean, doesn't she realize how she is coming off in the interview?

She seems delusional "Amy's skirt was shorter!" well, bully for you. But Amy at least used her verbal skills and her intellect to get things done. Argh. Sorry, that article is ridiculous.

I think Katrina has a problem with women. Really, I do. Rather than elevating her game when faced with female competition (she liked Heidi because Heidi was not a threat to her) she just finds a reason to dislike them.

Shudder. Thanks for the link. But... ack!
erinjsnark
From that TV Guide article:
(bold emphasis mine)
TVGO: It's been downhill for the women since the sexes merged. What the heck happened?
Katrina: When we switched teams, the whole dynamic changed. I don't really know why, but it did. And ultimately, the women were fired.
Sounds like an inadvertent spoiler to me! Of course, you could probably read it differently, but that's what it sounds like IMO.
goobaletta
That's how I interpreted it. What else could it be? She's just so skanky. I think I hate her as much O now and that's an accomplishment!

Word. I actually think she liked Heidi because she found her face non-threatening. It's easier for her to like less attractive women, but if they're prettier....then WATCH OUT!!!

Had to share the following spoiler/spoiler speculation from last night's E! television chat with Kristen:

From vickime: Who do you think wins The Apprentice?
I'm guessing Nick. Both Heidi and Katrina picked him as the one they'd "like" to see win, in interviews last week. And that whole thing about him being "spotted" at work smacks of Gervase-like Survivordom to me. I'm guessing it's a false rumor. Also, according to Page Six, Katrina told a bunch of club-goers in the wee hours last Saturday night that it's Kwame. Given their insane confidentiality agreements, I'd say it's anyone but...

Not concrete information, but worth throwing into the mix!

I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. I found this week's episode to be edited in such a way as to be a "set up" for next week's episode. Amy and Nick will fail at the task, and Amy will be fired because Trump sees "yooger" potential in Nick.

Question for everyone: there's been tons of talk of the Bill & Amy romance after the Nick & Amy fizzle... do Bill & Amy get involved romantically on the show? Katrina said Amy got involved with a guy after the show (Bill) but is there any romance during the show (when Katrina wasn't there?)

If Amy & Bill did get schmoopy during the show and we knew this it'd pretty much let us know Nick went before them (assuming they wouldn't get involved with Nick there, considering Bill's alliance to Nick, Amy's friendship/schmoopiness with Nick).

Do we have any documentation/articles about their romance and when it started up? And did they start up a romance? I've yet to see any magazine articles saying Bill & Amy are involved.
aquagirl2
TVGuide: "So when you were, um, casted on the show..."

Ha! Someone's too stupid for TV Guide...
Jill
E's Kirsten is never right on reality spoilers. I would pick anyone but Nick for that reason alone!

Another reason I would pick against Nick is because Heidi and Katrina picked him. I think they tell to pick anyone but the final two. Heidi did that because she hated the other two bitches and he was a safe pick.
Katrina keeps picking him as the winner so she can bad-mouth Amy some more with how she thinks Nick is playing Amy for a fool.

No way Nick wins.
RhondaGC
I don't know if I can give Katrina credit for being intelligent enough to engage in intentional misdirection. Heidi, maybe. But Katrina? She doesn't even know the past tense of "cast." Heh.
ChillinTheMost
from Katrina's interview:

...[Amy] slept with one guy on the show and then she had sexual relations with another guy after the show….That's left to the imagination. I'm telling you that she slept with a cast member, but I'm not saying who that might be.

Does anyone find the wording of this a bit CYA? Amy "slept" with one guy, but had "sexual relations" with another guy. Well, Amy "slept" with Nick on the bus...

Or, rather, that's "slept" without the quotes.

Seems like she's able to say later that she didn't say that Amy had sex with both guys...

oh, yeah, and this...

Someone asked me whether I'd rather live with Omarosa or Amy. I'd rather live with Omarosa because at least I know Omarosa's a bitch.

So, she doesn't know that Amy is a bitch? Seems that's all she's been saying for quite a while now.
RhondaGC
All that "I'm not going to say who it is" crap also makes me doubt her claim. I hate it when someone does that. It is so cheap. If you are accusing someone of something, be upfront about what it is. If you can't or won't go public with the evidence to back up your claim . . . then shut the hell up!

I don't think any of it is true. I think she and Nick engaged in a light flirtation during the filming and that's all. She may be sleeping with Bill now, I really wouldn't know, nor do I need to, but I hardly see how that has anything to do with the show.
lynettefl
Omarosa was seen with Kwame during the Jessica Simpson concert. Does this mean that Kwame is eliminated on Thursday's episode?
NicoleMN6
I can't imagine that it's Kwame who "should have kept (his) mouth shut." Of the five remaining, he seems the least likely to have provoked that particular bit of DT wisdom.
sabbie6
Yes, but whoever should have kept his ( or her) mouth shut is not necessarily the one fired. As in, Katrina ( heh, almost typed Latrina) did not make the youuuuge mistake last week. But I hope it's not Kwame!
HeavenLy
The AOL clip is up. Trump takes the apprentices, along with Carolyn and Bernie (no George! again!), to the top floor of Trump Tower. Apparently the top floor is available for event rentals only. The task is to see which team can rent the space out for more. The minimum rent for the evening is $20,000. The reward is a trip on the Trump private jet to his estate in Palm Beach for lunch. Trump posits it would be a romantic date and uses this as an opportunity to ask about the Nick and Amy relationship. Nick deflects the question by saying it's a business relationship with the occasional meaningful conversation. Trump compliments Nick on the nonanswer.
spice
I guess that confirms that Nick&Amy win this week since we do see them on the Trump Jet.

So if Bill, Troy and Kwame go to the BR, who will get the ax? Kwame would be the easiest to pick off, but we all know how much Bill hates Troy. I'm guessing that Troy is the one to go. "Star candidate falls from grace". Also, in the preview clip he says how sad it would be to come this far and not go all the way. I'll miss ole Troy and his Troyisms. (sniff)

I'm guessing it will come down to Nick vs Bill for the final two.
clp
I posted a link to Heidi's site a few weeks ago, but since we are in the home stretch I thought I might bring it up again.

In Heidi's gallery, there are some pics of her and other apprentices that seem to be a the firee's hotel. The only ones not pictured? Amy, Bill, Kwame, and Nick.
sabbie6
Yes, but the picture with Troy isn't from the firees hotel. It's somewhere else, in a car or something. So I thought it was from when they were on the show and not in the firees hotel.

Anyone else see this?
miaK
Christ! Did anyone else catch the photo in the upper left where Heidi is doing an Erin Brockovich impression? Now that's class.
Tashanir

I noticed this, too. But I don't think the candidates are allowed to take any pictures while they are still in the competition so as to avoid any leaks about the tasks, who gets fired, etc. I think taking pics after are okay.

Or.....

The pics are from an Apprentice screening party from back in January. Kat looks like she's wearing a heavy winter coat. They finished filming in late October here in NYC. It wasn't THAT cold here in late October. It was actually still pretty warm for fall.
spice
I like her website! Lots of shots of her with Ereka & Katty & Sammy. Did you see the one with Sam in the center with his eye closed? Heidi is doing her best Xtina pose, and Katty sure looks tall. Bowie's pretty huge. I remember him being big, but damn, that boy is well-nourished.
txsunshine33
The reward is a trip on the Trump private jet to his estate in Palm Beach for lunch.

Say it ain't so. Why would they clip the winner like this and actually ruin the tension of the show of not knowing and agonizing about it. I'm holding out hope that they were faking us out. Please, please pretty please let it be Amy and Nick. I want to see that smackdown in the boardroom....although seeing Amy in a grueling one-to-one interview with Carolyn might be satisfying too. I'm soooo conflicted!
Wrigley
Nick deflects the question by saying it's a business relationship with the occasional meaningful conversation. Trump compliments Nick on the nonanswer.

Gotta give Nick credit for this one.

The reward is a trip on the Trump private jet to his estate in Palm Beach for lunch.

That could explain why Amy and Nick seem to be on a plane. Would it then follow that Troy is the one to get fired, as it was his dream to work with DT (as stated in his high school yearbook)?

Yes, but the picture with Troy isn't from the firees hotel. It's somewhere else, in a car or something.

Could it have been in the Trump-copter before/during/after the reward?
Tashanir
After seeing the commercial for Thursday's episode AGAIN....

Is it me, or has Amy always worn her heair straigh during the task day...but curly for the rewards?

If this little trend is true, and she has straight hair in the boardroom, then curly on the plane or where ever she is when she screeches like a banshee....then that could be more evidence that Versacorp wins.
sabbie6
Wow, Tashanir, you're a hard worker in the spoiler department! I like the hair theory, and think you just might be on to something.
JanGator
Is it me, or has Amy always worn her heair straight during the task day...but curly for the rewards?

Will have to look into that, Tashanir - but IIRC, during the Trump Ice challenge, I think her hair was curly as she and Assorama were making sales calls. Sometimes it was up, sometimes down... but always curly, I think.
Miss Alli
Amy's hair has very rarely been straight. She's left it curly most of the time, with a couple of exceptions. I don't think there's any correlation between her hair and what she's doing.

Snewser says:

Hmm... that means Amy is safe this week. So Trump won't fire 8 women in a row.

I doubt he'll let a redneck run his company.
Grifter
Since Snewser is talking, I'll steal a page from Rabrab's book and post my own Snewser style prediction:

You were number one, but now you're almost out of gas and your long trip will be cut short when you disappear. Your name is at the top of the list, but soon they reminice over you.

Not as good as Rabrab's, but I tried not to repeat any of the elements from that one (like Troy weight).
Tashanir
Snewser says:

Hmm... that means Amy is safe this week. So Trump won't fire 8 women in a row.

I doubt he'll let a redneck run his company.

Well...we know it's not Bill or Amy....redneck either refers to Troy or Nick. And the "That means..." implies that Versacorp wins. (i.e. What means Amy is safe? Versacorp wins. That means Amy is safe...) So it's likely not Nick.

Buh bye, Troy
