I see the Cheeky one (hee!) posted 401's descripton. Well, JIC you're interested, and I know you are, here are descriptions for 402 and 403:

"402A" "There's No Little 'i' In Team"

The candidates face off in the billion-dollar advertising business and create new campaigns for a luxury sports car. One candidate stalls his team while another copes with a tragic family loss. The winners are sobered by a serious injury and the losers collide in the boardroom where the second candidate is fired.

"403A" "Something Old, Something New"

The candidates tackle the world of high technology and put on dueling expos for seniors. One candidate pushes all the wrong buttons, while another delivers a stale performance. The winners enjoy a priceless reward with children, while in the boardroom, the losers are blindsided by their project manager. The 3rd candidate is fired.
Keupi
Love Bren's blog. And his writing talent (he also wrote the Solstice brochure for his team) - too bad Trump didn't have a snark contest on season 3!
AmberDawn
From Spindotdat

1. Rebecca is seen in Episode 3 having been injured. I understand she was injured during a reward in the previous task. Thus, Rebecca is not fired in the first 2 episodes, and her team wins episode 2.
If the teams are divided by age and and Rebecca is injured while on the winning team, that means the younger team wins the second task.

Somehow, I get the strange feeling that Josh is gonna get the first axe. Call it a hunch, but here's how I answered the Fantasy questions:

1. How will the candidates be divided into corporations?
By gender
By age
By level of education
By income

(Judging from the picture and averaging the ages, this most likely would fit.  Also, as someome mentioned, age division hasn't been thematic on the Apprentice yet.)

2. Once the task was assigned, who will almost run over Donald Trump?
Jennifer M.

(Something tells me that she will turn on her inner Erin and become overzealous.)

3. After the task assignment, what will Felisha say is a "huge advantage" the opposing corporation will have?
Faster transportation
An unlimited credit card
Street smarts
Being New Yorkers

(In the NBCUMV.com description for the first episode, it says that the teams choose between two gyms in demographically diverse areas, where they create and market their class, so I think that being young, hip, and relatable would be considered street smart by the older team.)

4. Who will say "The one thing I never want said about me is that I shrunk from a challenge"?
Markus

(I think he will become the first project manager for the 29 and older team.)

5. Toral will say that this candidate is "difficult for the people on the team to stomach." Who will she refer to?
Alla

(She possibly mentions her past to her team members and Toral will probably frown down upon her.)

6. During the task, Josh will say that this candidate "was frazzled, (he/she) was confused, (he/she) couldn't make a decision." Who will he refer to?
Markus

(A case of blame the PM for the loss.)

7. During the task, Kristi will say that this candidate "sucks and (he/she) needs to be fired." Who is she referring to?
James

(I guessed on this one.  I based my guess upon his selling poo for a profit scam.)

8. During and after the task, who will Mr. Trump say talks too much?
Jennifer W.

(She seemed talkative, I think, from her audition video.)

9. In the boardroom, who will George consider a "disruptive influence" on his/her corporation?
Josh

(Something about Josh reminds me of Michael.  Michael had an attitude of "when things go wrong, blame the PM for everything.  I just get the feeling that Josh would probably do the same thing.)

10. Which candidate will be fired this week?
Josh

(I am thinking that his boardroom argument (if this happens to take place) would probably backfire, causing him to get the axe.)
pinkmamba
The PM for the Youth Group may be Chris because of his NFL background and the task being a Health club gig. As such he may be in line to be fired as a PM! Yet someone else on the team may be fired first as to help encourage contestants to step up to the PM spot. Maybe Adam?
CheekyCricket
I have Alla and Jennifer M. as the first PMs. (Interesting that this question doesn't appear in the first set of Yahoo! Fantasy Game questions.) I picked Alla because she once owned some sort of, ahem, "spa," and she's shown with a notebook or clipboard in the NBCUMV photographs. Jennifer M., I picked on a hunch: I think she will be the one who Kristi says "sucks and (he/she) needs to be fired," and it's most likely that Kristi would say that about the PM. I have Adam marked as the firee, and also the "disruptive influence" cited by George. But I'll admit that apart from the few clues we've been getting so far, it's wide open to me, at this point.
Thanks for posting the other two previews, goobaletta. Here's the longer preview, with one interesting bit of information about the new exemption rule:

DONALD TRUMP GIVES CANDIDATES A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY AND INCORPORATES NEW TWISTS ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF NBC'S "THE APPRENTICE" (SEPTEMBER 22, 9-10 P.M. ET/PT)

Candidates Lose Sweat in Creating Fitness Class for Bally Total Fitness

NEW YORK -- September 15, 2005 -- For the first time in NBC's "Apprentice" history, Donald Trump greets his 18 young entrepreneurs outside of Manhattan and tees up a big twist in the first 10 minutes that will give the candidates a serious run for their money (Sept. 22, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT). After dividing the teams, Trump announces a second twist -- the winning project managers will only be exempt the following week if their team members grant them that privilege.

For the first task, Trump instructs the candidates to jump into the $13 billion fitness industry and create a new fitness plus class for Bally Total Fitness. Teams choose between two gyms in demographically diverse areas, where they create and market their class. The winning team is treated to a lavish lunch with Trump at The Friar's Club and the losing team is sent to the boardroom where the first candidate is "fired."

Trump's loyal lieutenants George Ross and Carolyn Kepcher return for a fourth season and the original "Apprentice," Bill Rancic, returns for several episodes filling in for Ross while he is away on business.

As previously announced, a Rhodes Scholar, NFL player and an inventor are among Trump's "hand-picked" cast of young entrepreneurs on the fourth season of NBC's "The Apprentice." "For the first time, I hand-picked an 'Apprentice' cast and I'm thrilled with the results," said Trump, executive producer. "This is the most talented group we've ever assembled. They have it all: beauty, brains, and big bucks." Ranging in age from 22-41, these candidates boast degrees from Oxford, Wharton, MIT, and Georgetown and several of the candidates are already millionaires.

"We at Bally make it a priority to customize our services and stay on top of the ever-changing needs of our customers," said Jim McDonald, chief marketing officer for Bally Total Fitness. "And during their first task, the teams from 'The Apprentice' proved they understand the importance of this as well. Their ideas for a new group exercise class were smart, innovative and right on target with what today's consumers want. The result of their work will bring an exciting new offering to Bally clubs nationwide, which we feel will be a big hit with our members."
Ranging in age from 22-41, these candidates boast degrees from Oxford, Wharton, MIT, and Georgetown and several of the candidates are already millionaires. In other words, they combine the worst of Season 2 with the worst of Season 3? I'm just hoping that I find at least one of these candidates mildly appealing, because from what I've seen so far, yuck!
AmberDawn
I guess a lot depends on whether the teams pick their PM's before they find out what their tasks are, like in Season 2 or after they find out what their tasks are, like in Season 3. I agree that Chris and Alla would be the logical team leaders for a fitness task if the teams get to pick their leaders after the tasks are announced, but they may not get to do that.
atlantis81
Okay, so I just got done changing my answers, again.

1) Definately picked by age, because everything else seems entirely uniteresting to me, and I want the Andys of the world to show the Tanas of the world whats up.

2) Once the task was assigned, who will most likely run over The Donald?
Ummm... At first, I picked Clay, because, WTFAlso, he seems easily overexcitable. Now I'm thinking it has to be a PM... So... for the older crew, either Alla or Josh makes more sense to me, and I think either are capable of running someone over (but Alla is not an option). For the younger crew, Chris makes sense to me, and he could run someone over as well. Jenn M. may be the PM, but I don't think she can run any body over... So. It's between Josh, Jenn M. and Chris and Clay... I'm still going with Clay.

3) The "huge advantage". OK. First, I went with "transportation" but, and maybe I'm reading too much into this, >> tees up a big twist in the first 10 minutes that will give the candidates a serious run for their money << and the phrase "run for their money" makes me think one team got an unlimited credit card somehow.

4) I put Rebecca. Because... how should I know?
5) Alla.
6) Decision... Markus?

7) I don't think Kristi and Adam will get along, so originally, I put down Adam. But I think Kristi is someone who will say this about everyone else... so... Jenn M?
8) I think Kristi talks too much.

Anyway. The huge advantage question makes me think that the youngins win, because they are the team with the huge advantage (though, I'm back and forth on this -- it's probably just some ploy to make us think they have a chance).

Yeah. Ploy. Younger team is in the boardroom: 9) Adam 10) Adam.

Older team is in the boardroom: 9) Alla/Markus 10) Alla/Toral
tiggeril
Good lord, that's a lot of previews. Are they trying to keep us from watching?

I am leaning towards ghettofabman's answers. Good job!
Except for # 4.

4. Who will say "The one thing I never want said about me is that I shrunk from a challenge"?
For some reason, I like Brian for this one. He is 5'1 tall, and this answer seems somewhat funny. I am probably wrong.
YourNightmare

After dividing the teams, Trump announces a second twist -- the winning project managers will only be exempt the following week if their team members grant them that privilege.
I think the obvious choice in the game would be to never grant them exemption? And how will it work? Majority rule? I wonder how that works towards the final 5 through 3.
The winning team is treated to a lavish lunch with Trump at The Friar's Club and the losing team is sent to the boardroom where the first candidate is "fired."
Any thoughts on why fired is in quotes?

Amber, You planning on topping the Fantasy game again this season? Good luck to us all!

It's good to be back and great to see so many familiar faces.
atlantis81

Any thoughts on why fired is in quotes?
Maybe Randall realizes how low he's sunk to be on the show and quits, so Trump fires him.
AmberDawn
I'm wondering if any spoilers for Trump's Apprentice can be found in Martha's version. Similar firing patterns perhaps? If tomorrow's show goes anything like Martha's first firee, the first firee will be someone quite obnoxious. I'm saying this because on the first three Apprentices, the first firee was always kind of bland. Anyway, I picked Adam for the fantasy game.
AmberDawn
Spoiler Speculation Time: Okay, so it's men vs women, not young vs old. If Rebecca is injured during a episode 2 reward, that means the men lose task 2. Spoilers say Markus, Josh and James are safe, so that narrows the possible firees down to 6. Adam got an invisible edit, so it probably won't be him. The only men we saw a fair bit of were Randal, Chris and Brian. All three have websites up.
johnnyfive
More spoiler speculation: Since Clay seems to despise Carolyn, as seen by his response to that question on the nbc website, is it possible to assume that he could be the one that gets fired or called out during the period when Carolyn is "in charge" in the boardroom? It's a remote chance, as there is plenty of other chances for it to happen, but it's one more thing to consider anyway.
CheekyCricket
Well, I was humbled by the first round of fantasy-game questions. I haven't checked yet but I think I got one, maybe two right. Who would have thought that Trump would go back to the man/woman teams?

For next week, good point, AmberDawn: if Rebecca's injured during a reward, then the men lose. Right now, I see Josh as the most likely candidate for Excel PM, given his pushiness. I don't have an inkling of who will be Capital's PM. From the brief preview:

One candidate stalls his team while another copes with a tragic family loss.
We know that Randal is the candidate who copes with the death of his grandmother, so the team-staller could be ???? The team-staller is male: I'd say it was Markus, only he will not be the PM, and since he doesn't have an exemption, he doesn't have the incentive to lay back and slow down the team. We also have a spoiler telling us that Markus isn't fired.

As far as possible winners, from what little we've seen so far in the first episode, Jennifer W. and Randal look like contenders to me, maybe Rebecca and, yes, Alla, as well. (Provided that Alla doesn't reveal herself to be a nutcase.) Josh made an immediate impression, but, using the winners from the first three seasons as my model, he's too aggressive and in-your-face to be the overall winner. The other men haven't made an impression on me yet.
RhondaGC

Who would have thought that Trump would go back to the man/woman teams
Actually I did, and I almost posted it yesterday, but you guys convinced me with your rationale for young vs. old.

The reason I suspected it would be again is because the TV Guide article said something about how the teams would be divided in a way that would "help Trump's memory." I knew that that meant he couldn't remember who was on what team when they were mixed up, so male vs. female was the obvious choice. And besides, Trump hasn't gotten to watch a good female team catfight since season 1.

Perhaps knowing from the preview that Carolyn takes over for Donald one week explains how we get rid of more than one person at a time: Carolyn just gets mad at a whole team, or part of it, and just fires the whole lot. Honestly, I wouldn't put it past her.

If this happens, I with just have to upgrade my membership on the Carolyn Adoration Train to lifetime status. It would be the highlight of the season to have Carolyn just call a bunch of them out on their crap and send them packing.

Did anyone notice on the today show segment with Melissa that she said she "didn't get to know Kristi all that well as a person"? could that mean that Kristi didn't spend too much time in sequesterville?

Edited because names should be spelled correctly.

Did anyone notice on the today show segment with Melissa that she said she "didn't get to know Kristi all that well as a person"? could that mean that Kristi didn't spend too much time in sequesterville?
Possible. But I'm guessing with Melissa's grating personality that no one ever stuck around her long enough for her to get to know.
Magsi2
Is the sports car a BMW car this time around? I don't know if I've seen it anywhere, and sorry, I didn't recognize the car in the preview. I'm just going by the "There's no little i in team" comment. Doesn't BMW have "i" in their car name/numbers?
goobaletta
I think it's a Lamborghini this time. Or driving same is the reward. But I distinctly remember Lamborghini being mentioned.

Maybe the women's team goes on a winning streak and Kristi avoids the boardroom altogether. We know they win episode 2. Plus the blurb for episode 3 says

The winners enjoy a priceless reward with children
Given that men aren't always of fond of children as women, this might be interpreted as an indication the woman's team wins task 3 as well.

Or it could be Kristi simply avoids the boardroom like Ivana did in TA2 tasks 3-8, even though she deserved to be in the boardroom for tasks 3 and 4.
gapkid

Or, Trump could go on a project manager-firing spree again. Kristi won't try to PM again until at least after the reshuffle, so she might last over half the season. And if she manages to win as PM then, she could make the final 6.
ghettofabman
Something tells me that since she bears an uncanny resemblance to Stephanie Myers, Kristi will go the same way that Steph did.
AmberDawn
I forgot to reply to this

I doubt that Markus is the vindictive type
I think it's too early in the season for us to judge who is a good guy and who is not. Remember what people thought about John Gafford, last season, after episode 1?

Also

Something tells me that since she bears an uncanny resemblance to Stephanie Myers, Kristi will go the same way that Steph did.
Which means she'll go tenth in a season where there are 11 tasks. I get this kind of Stephanie/Ivana vibe from her, too. I think she'll last longer than she deserves to.
nilknarf
Ghettofabman, I disagree that Kristi looks like Stephanie Meyers.

If she looks like anyone, it's actress Reese Witherspoon. (IMO)
RhondaGC
Yeah, and she's perky, and cute, and was a champion athlete and overcame "adversity" (isn't she the one who had the child very young?), etc., so I have a feeling Trump won't fire her too soon, unless forced to. He tends to like the cute, plucky type.
nilknarf
Not sure if this is the right place to put this but....
If the girls win (based on a previous spoiler) and Markus survives the Boardroom this week (based on another spoiler) you gotta figure that whoever this week's PM is will be the firee.

And that he does something so inept that The Donald is forced to ignore the blathering Markus, even though I bet he really wants to fire him just because he doesn't know when to shut up.
AmberDawn
Maybe the losing PM gets fired for not bringing Markus to the boardroom.

Edit:posted in the Media Articles thread.

Good lord! Are they talking about Randal again, or do we have ANOTHER dead relative?
In Episode 1 we learned that both Randal's grandmother and grandfather lived in the same rest home. It could be that his grandfather dies not long after his grandmother. It's not uncommon for elderly married couples to dies one right after another.
spindotdat

I think it's a Lamborghini this time. Or driving same is the reward. But I distinctly remember Lamborghini being mentioned.
Lamborghini it is. But it's the task, not the reward. Hockey with New York Rangers (or is it Islanders?) is the reward. Women win, men lose, someone other than Markus and Josh gets fired, amazingly (I can't believe Markus isn't fired if the men lose. I'm going to try to confirm with source. Someone else must have really stinked it up or pissed off Carolyn, as mentioned upthread.). Rebecca injured during task.
BuonGiorno
In one of the post-taping interviews, Jennifer W. said she could not say more, but hinted that she had a good chance to win. Opinions?
AlexD
UPDATE: The front page of The Apprentice-Donald Trump site at Yahoo asks, "Who will be fired next? Kristi, Josh or Marcus? " Only those three, so if we know the women win, and someone saw Josh around week 7, then I guess Marcus gets the cobra.
Jacob
Hi, guys, I moved all the Fantasy Game posts to their own brand new thread, over in Creative Bookkeeping. Enjoy!

Brian Mandelbaum's website is now fully active. I wonder if he is the "little I" the nbcumv preview synopsis is referring to.

Markus also was seen after week 2. Unless our spoilers are inaccurate, none of those three will be fired this week.

In her exit interview on the Yahoo site, Melissa talks about the other Apprentices she likes and she has nice things to say about:

Josh, Chris, Randal, Jen M, Toral, Mark, Marshawn, Rebecca

Sooooo, since she spent just 3 days in the Suite and then 5-6 weeks in Sequestersville, how could she have gotten to know any of these folks well enough to consider them buds if they wound up being in the Final 2 and never spent more than a few days with her?

A previous post also referred to the comment at the end of a TV interview Jen W did. When asked how she did, she couldn't say, but did say something like she thought her chances were pretty good. It wasn't even so much what she said, but how she said it.

I would appreciate thoughts on these 2.
atlantis81
When are the exit interviews conducted?

I think that Melissa may just be picking out people who demonstrate good leadership qualities -- Randal, Marshawn, Rebecca and the others are some of the more impressive candidates. Also, Toral, in her Confessional about Melissa, was pretty diplomatic, saying that Melissa may be right, but was just saying it the wrong way, so maybe those two did get along. Anyway, I don't think I'd read too much into it.

I think Jennifer W's comment was just meant to be cute -- you know, who is going to say they don't have a good shot?
Keupi
Melissa may be brought back later. In S2, the first 4 eliminated were brought back to renovate a house (team challenge). In S3, it was in the final (Kendra vs. Tana) that the 'most difficult' were brought back. So, she could be brought back later to participate as a 'twist' to a team or individual.

I guess Dairy Queen is jumping on board this year. Let me guess, the flunkees are going to have to create a new flavour. And I bet, I just bet, the winning flavour will be selling at DQ shorty after the airing. What are the chances that I am wrong?

Here you go tone . The deadline dates on the DQ site for their apprentice promo is October 11. Good Find! Does anyone know anyone who works there who will have signs to promote this winning (and maybe losing) blizzard? If we know ahead of time, we could know who wins by their choice!

"Ice Cream of Genie"  10-13-2005 9:00PM
Relationships turn chilly as the candidates create a new promotional character for a blended ice cream drink. One candidate amusingly gets in touch with his feminine side, while another lets down their team in a big way. The winners spend the day with big leaguers, while the losers find themselves back in the boardroom.

Hmm, no mention of Markus. That can mean one of two things:
1. Markus stays in the game until the near end.
2. Markus attempts at conversation with Melissa were a failure because neither could stop talking long enough for the other to get a word in edgewise.

Seriously, though. When are those yahoo exit interviews taken? My impression was that they come shortly after the candidate is fired.
Cooler
I know the exit interviews for TA3 were made almost immediately after the candidates were fired. They were shot close to the time they are filmed getting into the taxi and giving their backseat opinions. For example, when they are fired, they do not actually leave right then and get into the cab. They go and get into a car with the NBC shrink who has been on set the entire time, and go to dinner (if they want) and destress from the situation, then go to The Ponderosa (as they call it). It is usually the next afternoon when they are all on the next task that the candidate goes back to the suite and packs the rest of their things, and they finish their final shots.

As for spending time together, the candidates are usually together for about 5-7 days before the first boardroom to meet Trump. They do photos, press work for NBC, etc. BUT the catch is they can't speak to each other---not a word. NBC/Burnett handlers are around to make sure they all comply to their rules. Not until they meet Trump, and they are sent to the suite, can they converse. Also, they all have to stay about a week after it is down to the final two for more press, interviews for NBC, etc. The only exception to this that I know of was Verna. She was sent home the next day.

So that's how Rebecca get's injured. Ouch. That was brilliant, arranging for having a bunch of supermodel slim girls play hockey against big burly NHLers.

I wonder if this will be Markus? We know Markus survives.

We know from the commercial that Chris is the losing PM. If he brings just one candidate to the boardroom, do you think Trump will give him the Bradford treatment to make an example of him?
goobaletta
Well if he doesn't bring Markus in there, even if he doesn't deserve it, I think that will tick Trumpy off as he clearly is NOT a Markus fan.

I wonder if the disappearing PM disappears in one of the Lamborghinis? I hope not, because if I were the client? That would surely piss me off no end.
Magsi2
Yahoo has this week's preview up. It just shows Randal getting ready to leave and saying that he thinks his team did a good job the day before. The team's problems must come on day 2 beause he thinks all is well. Nothing too spoilery. I believe it's Clay in the preview with Randal. He looks like he just got out of bed, so the team must have been able to get some sleep (unless they pulled a Craig & Tana!)
spindotdat
It seems to me that Chris brings back Markus, and Chris gets fired for it. In this case, I think Trump/Burnett just want to keep Markus around for entertainment value, because he is so annoying. Kind of why Danny didn't get fired in Ep 1 last season. Could also be that someone other than Markus f'd up, and Trump thought Chris should have brought back that candidate.
Housewonder
We had a sighting of Rebecca making her way around in cruches during one of the tasks. So i think it's safe to say she will not quit. We're not that easy to fool Burnett!
AmberDawn

Josh, Chris, Randal, Jen M, Toral, Mark, Marshawn, Rebecca

This list of names matches up quite well with whom the editting featured prominantly in Episode 2. On the other hand, several names Melissa failed to mention, Jennifer W, Felisha, James, Brian, Adam and Clay were almost invisible during episode 2. Perhaps Melissa's exit interview has some spoiler potential.

Edit: Preview pictures are up at the nbcumv site

One picture shows Marcus giving a seminar. Maybe he's the candidate who gives a stale performance. Another shows Alla and an old lady struggling with something. Maybe she's the one who pushes the wrong buttons.
