I just wonder why NW would pick Alex. I guess we'll find out on Thursday. I know they can't pick Craig (since he couldn't be fired if they lose), but Tana or Kendra make more sense to me than Alex. Stephanie and Alex don't get along that well anyway. Maybe she thinks Alex can help her gang up on Chris, or she thinks Alex will be an easy firing pick.
Who is warned about being fired as they leave the first BR? Probably Chris.

Episode 14 will also be announced soon, and I believe it filmed on November 13-14, with the boardroom on Monday, November 15. The timing of this task was crucial - it was carried out on Sunday, November 14 - in front of tens of thousands of people. I'll post more later (have to leave something to keep everyone coming back). But I have given enough clues you can spoil it based on my spoiler. Probably airing April 28.I know the finale took place November 17-19. So that leads me to believe that there were interviews on November 16, narrowing the candidates from 4 down to 2.
If that's the case, then there will be a task for the final 4 and the interviews will only apply to the final 3. Consider:
Episode 10: Eight candidates left filmed Nov 1-3
Episode 11: Seven candidates left filmed Nov 4-6
Episode 12: Six candidates left filmed Nov 7-9
Episode 13: Five candidates left filmed Nov 10-12
Episode 14: Four candidates left filmed Nov 13-15
Episode 15: Interviews for final three filmed Nov 16
Episode 16: Finale filmed Nov 17-19

Dang y'all. This is getting as bad as the first two seasons when they'd post photos at NBC(U)MV that would totally spoil the episodes. But then, I'm a total spoiler whore, so I'm not really complaining. And I don't have to come in here. . .

The Yahoo! Preview is up.
It's titled "the tension between Craig and Kendra heats up"
It's basically Craig interrupting Kendra in a jerky way while they're trying to figure out an idea for their topping. Bren appears to be PM.
Alex, as we now know, is no longer on Magna.

Amber Dawn, you may be on to something. On the other hand, I may really have screwed something up. I'm withdrawing the Episode 14 description until I can confirm it with my source, that they have a task for the final 4.

So Craig IS the one who is criticizing Kendra. I guess they're playing up some kind of tension because in reality, Magna is kicking all kinds of butt, but they want to keep viewers in suspense that perhaps NW can win something (besides a rabies shot). This will also explain why Magna has such a hard time getting along with Craig.
Someone said that last season had two clip shows. I only remember the one, when they were at final 6. When was the other clip show? And wasn't the final 6 clip show aired in the same week as a new episode? I think it aired on Wednesday and then the regular episode aired in the usual Thursday timeslot.

Well technically they'd have been closer to correct if they'd had tu mangi (you eat). The verb is mangiare which means to eat. Their mistake is in leaving out the 'i' in their flyers and on the big sign and generally using, so far as I can tell from looking up Italian grammar in the wee hours, incorrect conjugation, but I won't swear to that because I'm more familiar with French and took Latin a gazillion years ago.

To add to the linguistic geeking out, the imperative form of mangiare is "mangia." I bet the gaffe gets called out tonight.

Hi all,
I just wanted to point out, that the Fantasy Game still has 17 episodes up for The Apprentice. As said before, this could still be an oversight because of the Verna firing. But, it is very peculiar to me that they would keep this up. And, it also seems weird that we would have to answer two blocks of questions for one extra long episode. And, what about the spoiler that the finale will be on May 19? The only way for the finale to be on the 19th without a clip show is for 17 episodes to air. Does anyone have any inside info on this, yet?

Blueskies, as a former beauty queen who had to study Italian for a year for my totally useless (but, still a degree!) B.A. in Music, archer1267 is correct: it's mangia, not manga. I'd be willing to bet that whomever entered the word into the slang dictionary was trying to spell the word phonetically ... and failed. Miserably. Or didn't hear the word correctly. New Yawk Italian can be pretty F'ed up. (see: Artie Lang on the Howard Stern show.)

Tonight Bren is the PM and Stephanie is the PM for the Domino's task and she is absolutely a disaster and is fired. The rift between Alex and Chris is legit, but that is NBC trying to hide the fact Stephanie is going to be fired. It is my understanding that both Bren and Alex are chosen by Net Worth, not moved by Magna.
The reward is breakfast with Trump at his place.
Bren goes in episode 13, then Alex in 14.

This is when I think we'll see the part where Craig and Tana are having champagne and toasting themselves. It doesn't have to mean that they're the "only two" of anything (for example, the only two Net Worth players left, as we've discussed upthread). Instead I think it's just reward footage, and since it's been shown that they've become good friends - and two friends would definitely toast themselves like that, even if they were amongst other company.

If all the tasks were set up before the season started as opposed to ad hoc, they would have set up 14 tasks thus expecting the final four interviews to take place in episode 15. However with Verna quitting, they would be left with a choice between cancelling one task or giving the last task to the final four, then only subjecting 3 people to the interview process. Since it would be awkward to back out of sponsorship agreements by cancelling a task, it would make more sense to push the interviews forward to the final 3.

The final two Kendra/Tana is going to be a tough choice. Kendra is a partner in a company where she was an employee, screwed the boss, then became partner. The problem is that his WIFE did not like that and filed for divorce. She is listed in the papers to be deposed, and that is a matter of public record, but I don't have the energy to do the research. The pro is she does have the degree and DT is big on education.
Tana is a total potty mouth, with no degree, but she gets along and works well with every one. She is more respectable between the two. She needs a little polishing, but that can be taken care of.
NBC wanted 1 female from each team, so they are the best choices

My Italian family always says "mangia" when we eat. I knew how to spell it because there is an Italian restaurant near my house with that name. Also, my grandfather always says "mangiate" - not sure about the spelling - but I assume that's Portuguese (his first language) rather than Italian.

I don't know if it will come out in the show or not, because I do not work for NBC. Maybe the DVD but that is just speculation. DT did have the Ivana/Marla thing going on and may not care, but I don't know how he could hire someone who is currently or about to come under fire under those circumstances. Well...this may or may not be a spoiler, I'm uncertain.
Here at the Yahoo Apprentice page, they have the weekly poll asking "Which fired candidate would you bring back?"
Do you suppose that means we can expect them to compensate for Verna by bringing a fired candidate back into the game? Those polls have generally been of the "which candidate would you have fired" sort...this is the first time I've ever seen on that could indicate anything like reinstating a candidate.

Well shooting has long been over, so why would they do this poll? It's not like what we voted on would matter, but it could be a little wink at the smart fans.
I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be able to cut the episode order in order to suit Verna, but they've never brought anyone back before...hmm...How would they react to someone coming back? Could be cool. My vote is for Danny btw.

Little surprised about the Kendra tidbit, but maybe I like her too much, but I don't care. If she were a man and did something like that, nobody would think twice about it. If she were to bring that behavior into The Apprentice and try and sleep with Trumpy to get to the top (a la Erin), I would care. What she did in the past should not effect the outcome here. I'm sure many of the Apprentice candidates have some shady pasts, that doesn't mean it should come to light of day. As long as she didn't commit any crimes, I still support her.

Okay, I missed last night's episode but hope to catch one of the CNBC reruns tonight. What about the preview for next week? Any good spoilerish tidbits there? I haven't seen any posts about that yet.
I'm really disappointed to hear that Coworker Barry's scene didn't make it past the editing floor, especially since it puts Golden Girl Tana in a less-than-flattering light (don't get me wrong, I like Tana, but she's a poster girl for Candidates Who Benefit From Flattering Editing).
Also, I can't find the poll asking about which firee to bring back, only the standard post-episode "Who would you have fired" poll. Maybe it's already been taken off the site? Shoot . . .
ETA Thanks for the American Eagle link, truffleshuffle! There's Verna, right in front, and Brian, and good old Erin, so this must be the Return of the Firees episode. I'll have to watch again and see who else I spot.
I also see John, maybe Todd (or it could be Alex). Too bad I can't freeze-frame the video. And Tara. Definitely not grouped in the original BookSmarts/StreetSmarts teams, so the scenes must be a preview of next week, not clips from past episodes.
Okay, two scenes: one shows Verna, Brian, Tana, Craig, and Alex or Todd (the image is blurred, probably deliberately, but looks more like Alex); the other shows Chris, Tara, John, Erin, Kendra, and Alex or Todd (probably Todd). They're grouped to look as though they're in teams, but that could be a decoy. There's also a new NotGeorge, this one being a woman who at first glance I took for Kendra.

Well...this may or may not be a spoiler, I'm uncertain. Here at the Yahoo Apprentice page, they have the weekly poll asking "Which fired candidate would you bring back?"
That would be interesting. They should choose two firees to be project managers, and the winning PM is back in the game.
ETA: However, it would mess up the fantasy picks for everyone if a fired candidate ends up winning it all, since you can't keep a fired candidate as your choice.

I'd be surprised if this were the case too...she seems to be one of the most competent, resourceful contestants and I'd just assumed that her success had come about via merit.

Who are the PMs going to be next week? Alex and Tana?
That's what I'm thinking. Although if they're thinking strategically a la Kelly, they will try to be the PM two episodes before the final four, since the winning PM of that task will be assured of being in that chosen few, which would mean the episode two weeks from now, if I'm counting correctly.
Thanks,
Zagad, that's what I've concluded. On the bad side, that could mean that Tara doesn't come back. (As a fellow government bureaucrat, I have a soft spot for her.) But, on the good side, that means that maybe Brian won't come back. Although at this point, he'd be a diversion.

Currently, Magna has won 5 straight. The spoiler said they would win 7 in a row. That means Networth wins task 13. Bren is supposed to be fired in task 13 according to the spoiler, so that would mean that he stays on Magna, while somebody else, possibly Kendra goes over to Networth for task 12.

Apr 1, 2005 @ 10:09 pm
However...in Yahoo! Fantasy clip...."Midseason recap" i've drawn some conclusions.
Chris and Bren are seen walking down the street together holding papers in their hands. So it appears Bren is sent NW in week 12.
It would be...Alex, Chris, and Bren on Networth. Now since it is only Chris and Bren in the shot...that could mean that Alex was fired. (Though he could just be somewhere else).
In another shot..we see Craig,Tana, and Kendra leaning over a computer. (This couyld be AE's task next week or one of the later tasks when Bren is no longer a member)
So:
Episode 11: Angie fired.
Episode 12: Bren sent over to NW, Alex fired.
Episode 13: NW's finally wins, Either Tana, Craig, or Kendra are fired. Craig is likely to be PM...so it would seem to be him.
Final 4:
Tana, Kendra, Bren, and....Chris!!!!!!!

I can't see any way in hell Trump would let Chris slide into the final four. He may not have been fired yet but Trump is already gunning for him and of the remaining players he has the biggest target on his back. He's survived thus far based on the fact that others have always screwed up more and Trumpy and co. aren't going for the scapegoat theory this time around. Right now Chris is just being strung along until his firing.

Stephanie-8 ---now Alex moves to Net Worth
Angie-7--now Bren moves to Net Worth
Chris-6
Bren-5
Alex-4
Craig-3
Tana/Kendra 1/2
I'm assuming Bren moves after Angie's firing.
With Chris' firing, Magna would've won 7 in a row and the teams would be down to -
NW: Alex & Bren
Magna: Kendra, Tana, Craig
If Bren is fired next, then that would make it 8 wins in a row, or 6 post-restructure.
Or, there could be 14 tasks, and post-restructure Magna is the one that wins 7 in a row.
If Bren is fired in Episode 13 (i.e. he finishes 5th), then someone would have to be moved over if there are 14 episodes.
Hmn...
I doubt Bren is fired in that episode. After all the episode description mentions "an opposing pair finds creative bliss" and in the past 2 seasons, when it's down to 2-vs-3, the team with only 2 members always wins.
Anyway, I love to speculate on spoilers. I don't think anyone should be telling others to stop speculating.

Someone is supposed to "lose their mind" next week, aren't they? Is that supposed to be Chris or Angie? The easy answer would be Chris, but in several different preview shots Angie seemed to be unhinged. But I'm not sure if she's the one who lost the money. If she was then she can't have lost her mind.
