I think the rule with websites is, if an active cast member has an active website, that does NOT mean they'll be fired soon. However, if a cast member does not have an active website, then it's pretty safe to say they WON'T be fired yet! Right now Erin, Tana, Michael and Alex are the only candidates with active websites. Unless Stephanie's website goes active shortly, I'd peg tomorrow's firee as one of those above listed four, most likely Erin.

On the bright side, it looks like Tara will be getting some speaking parts tonight, since she was featured in a question on the Yahoo Fantasy game. Maybe she's PM tonight.
CheekyCricket
On the bright side, it looks like Tara will be getting some speaking parts tonight, since she was featured in a question on the Yahoo Fantasy game. Maybe she's PM tonight.

I had decided against that, because of two things: the first NBC preview blurb (the short one) which mentioned a risk-taker who puts it all on the line, and the banner/headline on the NBC Apprentice site that promises an "outrageous idea" from one team. Since Magna's idea (the mobile spa) doesn't seem outrageous, I figured that it must be Net Worth's idea, and reasoned that Tara didn't come across as a risk-taker, hence she wouldn't be PM. But, it could be possible, since the fantasy-game question featured her in a negotiation.

However, I'm intrigued by the Yahoo! preview video: it looks like Audrey will cause some turmoil within the team, either in tonight's episode or later in the season. This is some new information. Interesting that Angie seemed glad when Audrey returned from the boardroom but didn't seem sympathetic to her outburst. Nor did John or Chris. Evidentally Audrey has been more of an issue within the team than we've been aware of so far. Some of her fellow-teammates seem to have drawn a bulls-eye on her forehead. If Net Worth loses, she may be the one fired.

Personally, I agree with spindotdat in that the "up and running" theory is not an indicator. I said "IF" we are to believe . . . I really don't think we will see a Chris/Craig F2. Chris is ready to self-destruct and Craig has not been very visible (perhaps because of editing, but more likely because he is not very competitive.)

I was hoping to disprove the website theory. It could be about when they were registered, but I'm not sure I buy that either. Has anyone gone back and tested that hypothesis with the previous seasons Apprenti?

After seeing the Yahoo! preview clip this morning, I have come to a conclusion about the teasers we see at the end of an epsiode, previewing the next. ALL IS NOT AS IT SEEMS! Last week we caught the part about Audrey screaming "That is NOT how you do business!" In the teaser we were led to believe it is in relation to this week's task. Clearly from the Yahoo! preview we see that it is part of the return to the suite. Makes me wonder again about the 'lovey-dovey' comment by Mr. Trump. I don't think it is an indicator of who ends up in the final boardroom.

I also wonder if Audrey's outburst in the suite is an indicator of who gets fired this week. It seems that Kristen's assessment of her being a "loose cannon" was correct. (Ooooooh! that's just rich! Kristen being right? Aack!)
spindotdat
Audrey's immaturity on the Yahoo clip just leads me to believe that one way or another, whether this week or 10 weeks from now, she's toast.

ITA with CheekyCricket that Networth's idea must be the outrageous one. And Tara does not seem like a risk-taker from what we have seen of her so far. But who knows? She is dating Matt Dillon. That has to be a good sign of a risk-taker.
CheekyCricket

I haven't tested it, but it occurs to me that Kwame had an active website early in Season 1, and as we know, he was one of the finalists. I think it has as much to do with the aptitudes and interests of the candidates as with how they fare in the competition. It's tempting to try and find a pattern, but I feel it will be an unreliable indicator.

It's a harbinger, I think, but I'm not sure about the timeline. The same with Michael: when I saw his thoroughgoing assinine brattiness in the Yahoo! preview clip for the Nescafe task, I thought that jackass was going to get the big boot next. But, it hasn't happened yet, although I think he will land in the taxi to the Loser Lodge fairly soon. I'm now thinking the same with Audrey, especially with the lovely threat she made during the interview. What team spirit! Don't mess with her, guys and gals! Though when she'll get the boot, ???

Good snark!

I completely agree...Bill also had a web site early on (although that could have had more to do with his own cigar business than The Apprentice), as did Nick, Katrina and Amy...
Leetchnut
Just wondering here, but do these people have to have a website? Is it part of the requirements for the show? I saw the first page of Erin's once and all it showed was her with her fugly hair and fuglier dresses.
spindotdat
Michael? Created October 20, 2004. By the WHOIS theory, he's GOT to be next to be fired, or episode 6, at the latest. So we'll soon test this theory. I'm going to change my Yahoo fantasy answers now based on the WHOIS spoiler theory.

Ca-ching! I'm on fire! The WHOIS-spoiler rules. For my next trick, I'm going to saw Chris in half.
AmberDawn
Drat!!! Erin survives another week! At least Michael is gone. I had him pegged to go in episode 6.

spindotdat !!! I'm totally impressed! Brilliant spoiling technique.

(btw PLEASE saw Chris in half! Now I'm really worried that he is in F2 since we can't even find his website. Any brilliant tips on a creative search to run for his?)

Here's a though re: who gets their website up earliest as an indicator of who wins the game:

Perhaps those who understand their non-disclosure agreements the best, or are the least inclined to famewhore for "speaking engagements" are the ones who put the websites up last. Also those who returned to good jobs and have actual work to catch up with, and couldn't care less if the show gets them fame and motivational speaking jobs.

I have not proven this theory, as I want to have fun and do cool stuff in life rather than test half-baked theories.

And not to be a rainer on the parade of the theory. I do think that even reality show contestants might have better things to do with their time.

I heard Boyfriend Bill on the radio yesterday. He said that we would all be surprised as to who the final two people would be. He said that even HE was even surprised as to who they were. BB is rather buddy buddy with this particular DJ, so I don't think it's to throw anyone off the scent.

Food for thought.
November1947
Stephers - Do you know if BB is still employed with the Donald? Did he mention anything about it?
goobaletta
I'm not Stephers, but I'm pretty sure Bill's still working for Trumpy at the moment. Dunno how long it will last, however.

I think his time with Trump ends in April. A few weeks ago, the NBC affiliate in Chicago ran a story about him. He's planning to move on to "something else" when his Trump time expires.
AmberDawn
He could play Darren in a movie version of Bewitched!
skim
My local radio station talks with Trump on Friday mornings to discuss the firings. Trump said something about Erin being a DJ for something on the show. He wasn't specific, but he said he was impressed with her DJ skillz and joked with her that she can change careers. I am assuming in a future task Erin will DJ something.
stephers321
Boyfriend Bill was asked during the aforementioned radio show if he was staying on with Trump (he's done in a few months). He said they were "in negotiations."
AmberDawn
Getting back to the subject of spoilers, Trump hinted in the last boardroom that there might be a restructure coming up soon. The last two seasons, the restructure took place when the teams were down to 12 people. Do you think there will be a restructure next episode and who do you think will get sent over to which team?
spindotdat

I doubt that 306 (Sony Playstation/Graffiti) or 307 (Mini-Golf) involve DJ'ing. So Erin's sticking around for a while.

As for the restructuring, I'd be surprised, and disappointed. It would defeat the purpose of the whole season. Maybe they find out about Tara's 4 years at Virginia, and ship her over to Magna. That's the only thing that wouldn't spoil the premise.

Edited to Add:

The winners are treated like supermodels

That's the reward for the next episode. What, they are trotted out to be ogled at the loser lodge by Michael? No, even better, I know what it is. They get head shots from some hot-shot photographer.
goobaletta
Are we sure Trumpy didn't mean BJ? It's Erin after all and if the rumors of her being in the final two are apt . . .

From NBCUMV:
THE APPRENTICE --(9:00PM-10:00PM) --(TV-PG)
.
"No.308"
.
"Bling It On"

Both teams meet with five popular musical artists to help raise money for charity. Their negotiation skills are exposed as one candidate tries to act a little too "hip," while another becomes star struck.

So 306 is the video game graffiti and 307 is the putt-putt course. At least the tasks are kind of interesting.
AmberDawn
http://www.stephaniemyers.net has gone active. Promises that the gallery and links page will come next week. Tick, tick, tick, tick!

Episode 308 sounds like it could be the one where Erin plays DJ, that is if Trump isn't just pulling our leg as he did when he called Danny "clever and deceptive."

Bling? Zip it, NBCUMV people. It was tired when Tammy said it back in Season 1; now it's definitely deceased. Not resting. Not pining for the fjords. Dead, dead, dead.

Who tries to act too hip & who becomes star struck? It might be too early to try & figure this out because two more people will be gone by the time this task rolls around, but of the candidates who are left right now, my guesses would be

Too "hip" - John or Erin (almost put her in "star struck," but she's such a poseur drama queen that her star struckness would manifest itself in trying to impress the talent with just how cool and unaffected by fame she is)

Star struck - Angie (gets overly hyper and obsessed while working, might not be able to control herself) or Audrey (nearly had a fame-gasm when talking about Nipples, of all people).

In other news, I will be watching Stephanie very closely this episode (if she's still around) to see if she utters the phrase "well, how about a musician and YOU?" a la Tammy.
AmberDawn
Too Hip? I'm pretty sure Alex will still be around! By episode 8 the teams will be down to 10 people, so we should be seeing more of him.

Starstruck? Audrey seems like the obvious choice, followed by Angie. But let's not discount Kendra. We still don't know what she's all about so we can't discount her. All 3 of those women should still be around.

One trend I've noticed this seasons is that candidates get a negative edit two episodes before they are fired. Then they get an improved edit one episode before they are fired. Consider

Danny:
Episode 1: An indecisive disaster
Episode 2: A hero
Episode 3: Fired for being and indecisive disaster

Kristen:
Episode 2: A nasty bitch
Episode 3: invisible
Episode 4: Fired for being nasty bitch

Michael:
Episode 3: A lazy jerk
Episode 4: A voice of reason
Episode 5: Fired for being a lazy jerk

If this pattern continues, Episode 6 will mark the demise of either Erin-poor decisions in Episide 4, or Chris-boardroom outburst in Episode 4. Episode 7 will mark the end of Stephanie-negative attitude in Episode 5! I know I was wrong about Erin last week, but those are my predictions for the next two weeks.
druish princess
I know that many of you are praying for this to be a red herring, but does anyone think that Trump complimenting Erin and the relatively favorable editing, that is getting progressively flattering, gives credence to the story that Erin makes it to the final 2?? Please tell me your thoughts about this.
MediaGenius
Looking through this week's Star I came across an "exclusive" interview with TA3's Audrey Eveans. Which is odd...because she hasn't been fired yet. That's making me think she gets fired next.
goobaletta
That is odd, MG. Anything noteworthy in the interview?
spindotdat
Both teams meet with five popular musical artists to help raise money for charity.

I have this one covered!

What's Burnett's favorite charity? The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. What's this task about? Music. When did it happen? Late October 2004 (see below). So a Google Search for "Elizabeth Glaser..." "music" "October 2004" led to this October 26, 2004 announcement:
Rock Star for a Day! Get up close and personal with some of music's biggest names - including Eve, Barenaked Ladies, Lil' Kim, Moby and Gene Simmons-while helping the the Foundation. The Foundation has partnered with Fuse TV, America's hottest new music video channel, to hold a LIVE TV auction of one-of-a-kind personal time with today's biggest music stars.

That's right. I count five popular musical artists, the timing is right, the charity is right. This is a rock auction for charity, folks. It happened on October 27, 2004, from 6-7:30, Eastern Time. Other google searches yielded tons of messages on fan boards, etc., urging people to come bid. Looks like the Apprenti were busy online. I wonder who KISS SUPERFAN is who posted here?

I now have a timeline for the entire season, and I can tell you what 310 will be.

301: BK Task: 10/4-10/5 (confirmation from Networth poster). Boardroom probably 10/6.
302: Motel 666: 10/7-10/9 (confirmation from spoiler re: film crew). Boardroom probably 10/10.
303: Nescafe: 10/11-10/12. Boardroom probably 10/13.
304: Dove: 10/14-10/15. Boardroom probably 10/16.
305: Airstream: 10/17-10/18. Boardroom probably 10/19. Confirmation from Michael's WHOIS posting on 10/20.
306: Playstation/Graffiti. Probably 10/20-10/21, Boardroom 10/22.
307: Mini-Golf. Probably 10/23-10/24 (this is a weekend, which is absolutely necessary to get the kids to play - otherwise, they would be in school). Boardroom probably 10/25.
308: Fuse TV Rock Auction. 10/26-10/27 (confirmation above). Boardroom 10/28.
309: Unknown. 10/29-10/30 (must be, due to 310 - plus, they wouldn't film on Halloween). Boardroom 10/31. DT dresses up like Danny.
310: Domino's. 11/1-11/2 (confirmation from Outside Food, who posted on 11/2 that they were filming right NOW in front of her office). Boardroom 11/3. It's pretty clear that Tana makes it here, which is the final 8. Maybe she gets fired, thanks to Outside Food.
311: Unknown. 11/4-11/5, Boardroom 11/6. Final 6 exiting this task. Since Stephanie registered her website on 11/6, she's probably fired by here.
312: Unknown. 11/8-11/9, Boardroom 11/10. Final 5 exiting this task.
313. Unknown. 11/11-???, Boardroom ???. Final 4 exiting this task.
314. Interviews. Probably all in one day on 11/16
315. Final task. I thought we saw a spoiler that pegged the dates as 11/17-11/19. In any case, I know these are the dates. I can't remember how. It makes sense they would have finished by Thanksgiving.
goobaletta
The final task might be a bit later (by a couple of days) only because I remember TD and Carolyn both having media gigs around that time. Carolyn's in particular was in question and the organizers of the event were afraid she wasn't going to make it, but she did. Gah. I may go back and scope the media thread from that time to see if I'm remembering correctly, but feel free to do it yourself. I dunno when I'll feel like doing it.

ETA: The thought of getting "up close and personal" with Gene Simmons just makes my skin crawl. Ewwwwwwwwww!
AmberDawn
Heads up, folks! We may have a spoiler for the final two!

http://www.jokersupdates.com/jarticles/article.php?id=573

Kristen picks Tara to win it all. If all the spoilers are to be believed thus far, it's Tara vs Erin in the final. Mind you, that's a big IF!

Also, in the Yahoo Fantasy Game, Raj had Erin picked as the eventual winner, but around the time the Erin spoiler came out, he changed his pick to John. Raj's picks are interesting. He got three of the first four firees right, but missed out on Brian, which had been spoiled by Harold. He also missed on Michael. Maybe he's gotten the word from higher up to provide wrong answers so as not to give away too much.

Are you friends with any of the other Apprentice cast members?
All of us talk all the time... Except no one really talks to Audrey. hmm.. Why is that.

I think there must be alot about Audrey that we haven't seen. From the Yahoo clips it seems she has made alot of mistakes. And i think Kristen pretty much confirms that Audrey is not a finalist.

That or she does and everyone hates her for making it that far. Interesting interview indeed.
Accygirl
Yeah, but considering that some of the people in TA1 and TA2 picked the wrong people to win it all even when they knew who the final two were and were on the final tasks, I wouldn't trust Kristen. However, it wouldn't surprise me if Tara were to win it all; she has a pleasing personality and goes out of her way to not make enemies. Plus, given The Apprentice's track record concerning minority women, having a sane, competant one win it all would be a big positive for the show.
ghettofabman
Ok, it's official. Alex's website is now up and running. Methinks his days are also numbered along with teammate Steph.
spindotdat
Edited because Miss Alli said it better than I did just below. In my opinion, Alex makes the final 4. Don't forget we have an actual article way upstream, where Alex's sister said how proud they all were of Alex...
Miss Alli
Please stop acting like putting up sites is a spoiler. It isn't. Kelly had a site up all last season. That is NOT a spoiler.
Outside Food
spindotdat, thank you, thank you for the detailed timeline. I smooch the hem of your garment. Now we can plan our office viewing-party for episode 310. Pizza will be served, of course!

Yeah, and I'm feeling vaguely guilty now about sending out the wolf--er, I mean, Coworker Barry. Then again, if the teams are being judged only on revenues, it might not matter, unless they lost more than one customer by forgetting they'd actually need to get pizzas to customers in order to get paid.

I must hold off my regrets by reminding myself that they were doing their usual lame job at marketing (stand on streetcorner occasionally giving someone a flyer). Even though there were balloons on the Domino's truck, once George had left the area, there was no way to tell whether the pizza was something you (average person on the street) could buy, or a private promotion, or a movie-set caterer, or a Domino's commercial in progress, or what. There, I feel better already.

I've decided it was Michael, Chris, and Brian brought out of mothballs to help Tana, Craig and who-knows-who-else on this task. But we all know how the memory adds in false details later. I can remember seeing a man talking and laughing with a shorter woman, both of them in Domino's drag, but only hypnosis is going to get anything clearer out of my head about that. I've found the camera I had with me that day and will try to get the film developed tomorrow, to see if there are any other clues to be found; but given my shyness plus my lack of skill with still images, I don't think there'll be much more than blurry shots of the top of George's head (ah! George! so svelte in his teal trenchcoat!). We shall see.

Re: websites

Have there ever been any apprentice candidates that did NOT have their websites up and running prior to the episode of their firing being broadcast?

I would say that the absence of a website is a much better spoiler for who stays than the presence of a website is for who goes. For example, unless Chris Shelton's website appears over the next few days, I would not expect him to get fired in Episode 6. The appearance of Kristen's website a few days before the broadcast of Episode 4 proved prophetic. At present, 4 active candidates have their websites up and running, Erin, Alex, Stephanie and Tana who has an exemption next episode. Maybe some more will go active in the next few days. Audrey's is poised to do so. I would be shocked if someone who doesn't have their website up and running gets fired next episode.

One more thing. Given the nature of the Episode 6 task, IBM employee Stephanie would be logical project manager for her team.
spindotdat
Why is an IBM employee logical for a project involving graffiti and video games?
Miss Alli
I swear to God, knock it off with this pointless speculating about web sites. THAT IS NOT A SPOILER. Yes, there have been candidates without web sites up at the time of their firing. Enough. It's like reading Tarot cards and calling it a spoiler. It's goofy. Quit it.
AmberDawn
Why is an IBM employee logical for a project involving graffiti and video games?

When the other two members of Magna who have not yet PMed are a real estate agent and an assistant district attorney, the person who works for a technology firm would appear, to me, at least, to have the experience most closely related to marketing a technology based product like a video game.
gapkid
The only time that I might possibly be persuaded that a website might be a spoiler would be if it was created during the time of filming because candidates still living in the suite were not allowed to use the internet for non-task-related surfing. Even that has loopholes, so I definitely do not buy this website theory.
BlueSkies
Weren't they being monitored when they were in the suite? So how could they use computers to get online? Even during tasks, I imagine someone was watching what they were doing online. I can not see registering a website after filming or not having a website to be a spoiler, but I can see registering it during filming to be possibly one. They had a chaperone in the loser suite but they weren't being babysat. Plus I don't think registering your website is one of the things you are thinking about while inside the suite with so many things on your mind, like sleeping.
yadayada
It's like reading Tarot cards and calling it a spoiler.

but...but... I thought reading Tarot cards accurately revealed the truth about the future.

Raj's picks are interesting. He got three of the first four firees right, but missed out on Brian, which had been spoiled by Harold. He also missed on Michael. Maybe he's gotten the word from higher up to provide wrong answers so as not to give away too much.

That assumes that Raj knows the outcome before he provides his picks, and if that's the case, then his commentary, especially his power rankings, and participation as the "expert" in the fantasy game is pretty much meaningless. And I don't think we should assume that because the fantasy-game staff knows the answers, that Raj does too. So I doubt he knows the outcome before he votes. His overall win-loss record is okay, but nothing outstanding: he usually gets roughly half the the answers right, but for the second week's game, he got two questions right, and for last week's game, he got one answer right.

ETA Yahoo! fantasy game questions are up. And whaddaya know, the first one is

At the beginning of the episode, Stephanie returns to the Suite and does what?
1. Thanks her team and cries
2. Heads for her room

Question #8:

In the boardroom, which candidate will be referred to as "the weakest person on the team"?

a. Audrey
b. Chris
c. Erin
d. Stephanie

Given that Audrey, Chris, and Stephanie my three picks to be fired in the next three weeks, this is no surprise. What is a surprise is this question:

3. During the task, Craig will say that Tara has which of the following:

a. "a lack of motivation"
b. "a selfish perspective"
c. "weak leadership skills"
d. "no clue"

Things are not looking good for Tara. At least she and Craig appear to be getting air time.

I think the producers are snarking on the possibility that Alex is gay. For I think the third week in a row, there is an answer that one can choose to imply that. This week's is question #4: Which fellow candidate will Alex refer to as a "Barbie-doll, college-girl slash Hooters waitress"?

a. Bren

ewww. I'll stop right there. Must gouge eyes out.
