I've narrowed it down to the last few pages of "The Corbomite Maneuver" or bits and bobs of "A Night in Sickbay." One has horror, the other has vitriol.

Thanks for all your help, people!

Any chance of a recording being made? I'm horribly jealous of anyone who can make it to your performance (stupid work).

Another vote for opening with excerpts from Space Seed, if you're still looking for suggestions.

Why? Most everyone will have either seen the episode, or at least will remember the movie with Ricardo Montablan. And if not, everyone knows who Mr Rork is, and his acting is as easy to lampoon as Shatner's.
McGivers calls their attention over to one of the chambers, and Scotty checks it out. "Beats me what's happening," Scotty says helpfully. McGivers stares transfixed at the occupant -- a raven-haired Ricardo Montalban draped in 24-carat chain mail and polished with several layers of Bain de Soleil -- as The Hot Chick In Love Lighting is softly activated behind her head.

Have a good time with the reading!!

I'm with you on the horrible jealousy, ma'am.

We are with you in spirit (or spirits, given the nature of the evening), even if we can't be there physically, Boss.

I remember - that line cracked me up. "Space Seed" is probably a good choice. But I also loved the "Amok Time" recap as well. Sigh, it's like trying to choose between your children!

I'm going to say "The Corbomite Maneuver". I'm having trouble typing this because I'm laughing so hard from just the memory of the Clint Howard frightfest.

Dammit. At our Mummer's Day Parade party (it's a 100+ year Philly tradition, kind of like other New Year's day parades on crack) I met a guy from San Fran, and I was supposed to email him with the info on when you were doing this and now I can't find his card anywhere and it's coming up this weekend.

I like the Clint Howard idea. I remember rolling at your descriptions of him. The little freak. Wish I could be there.
