Wow. Two episodes before 2004.

"The Cloning": Explaining the dangers of overcloning, with a demonic TV, and money. Weirder than usual.

"The Last One": As in the last episode? Ever? Basically, the Mooninites invite damn near every ATHF villain to waste our heroes. I think it's healthy I don't know all the names. We got the Mooninites, the Brownie Monsters, the moth guy, M.C. PeePants (reincarnated as a worm), the frat aliens, Ol' Drippy (nice as usual), Happy Time Harry, the Ghost of Chirstmas Past From The Future, the Rabbot...damn, somebody needs to make a complete list. The trees and leperchauns make an appearance ("Feet!"), and the Plutonians are not invited. Basically, no real plans are made, since they're all as dumb as dirt. Oh, and Err breaks his legs attempts the Quad Glazer. Sadly, no spanking of ass.

Oh, and don't ask Meatwad to reenacting scenes from "Pulp Fiction." He's got a toliet paper roll and an apple, and he'll scar you while doing it.

I think it's the last ep of the season. Waaaaaaaay at the beginning of this season, I recall a bumper mentioning that the season finale only had the Aqua Teens in it for about 30 seconds.

And Quentin Tarantino theatre? Meatwad is more psycho than Zorak.

ETA: Who knew? Frylock is Thundercleese's dad.
Smeg
"Thundercleese?"
"Father!"

That was FANTASTIC. I'm kicking myself for forgetting to record the whole AS block. I missed "The Cloning," but did get "The Last One." It looks like the shows are rerunning on Sunday- does anyone know whether the bumps will also be the same? I remember the same bump from earlier this year, the fresh maker, they said something about how each Aqua Teen only had one line or so apiece.

My SIL's sister knows the voice of Shake. I think that's so damn cool. She got me a Master Shake airfreshener for my car. I had to air it out, though. "Overpower the enemies of your car with the pleasant aroma of Master Shake's vanilla innards." Pleasant my ass. SO STRONG. And of course, during the airing out, it got damaged, damn it. Still kicking myself over that. Did we know Shake was vanilla?
Kaboom
"Thundercleese?"
"Father!"

Damn, talk about being floored. I think I can see it though. Both of them can kick major ass.

damn, somebody needs to make a complete list.

That green square was there too, wasn't he?

I thought it was mentioned very early in the series that Shake was pistachio.
Smeg
There's a good deal of crossover in the Adult Swim cartoons with voices. (Also, I like to state the obvious.) The whole George Lowe thing, and then the Frylock-Thundercleese connection. This is why I'm hoping they're going to rerun the same bumps. I wonder if any more connections were made, like Dr. Weird and Zorak or something.

Pistachio, huh? I can dig that. I had thought that he would end up being some sort of annoying flavor, like strawberry or banana or something. Pistachio works with that theory (at least to me). My brother thought he was chocolate.
Hasbro
In the Rabbot episode when Shake squirts out his ice cream it's green which supports the pistachio theory.

Now that that's out of the way, best episode ever FORIEGNER BELT! "I don't need no instructions to rock!"
Navin
Do what now?

I'm getting the second dvd from Netflix in a couple of days.

This show is so bizarre and abstract I feel like it was created with my sense of humor in mind.

Carl's my favorite character. "Whappened to my freakin' car?!"
skyegazer
Carl: "Yeah, lets Iron it out, there. I'll go get my Iron...My Tire-Iron". lol

Anyone know the lyrics to this show? I checked online, but couldn't find them.
djeber
I found these lyrics online:

My name is Shake-Zula, the mic rulah, the old schoolah,
You wanna trip, I'll break it to ya.
Frylock and I'm on top rock you like a cop,
Meatwad you're up next with your knock-knock.
Meatwad make the money see, Meatwad get the honeys G.
Drivin in my car, livin like a star, ice on my fingers and my toes and I'm a Taurus.
Cause we are the Aqua Teens, make the homeys say ho and the girlies wanna scream.

skyegazer
:lol Thanks dj I thought the part about Meatwad was something like that. He gets the best rhymes.

Why is this show only 15 minutes long? Harvey Birdman's the same. 'Cept they show 2 eps over here, of Harvey. But with ATHF it's 2 episodes of Clone Wars then 15 minutes of Auqua Teen. Both shows are good. But, I'd prefer 30 minutes.

Hee! I loved that episode.

Skyegazer: In the US, this is part of a block of 15-minute shows that fill an hour on the Cartoon Network, along with Sealab 2021, The Brak Show and Space Ghost Coast To Coast. The idea is that a 15-minute show is chock-full of comedy goodness, whereas a 30-minute show would be padded. I wish MORE shows were only 15 minutes long, frankly!
Brossa
I just got the DVD from Amazon. I laughed till I cried. My new favorite episode: Dumber Dolls

"Hey, backwoods retard."
"Sooo, we jigglin' here, or....."
"He's kinda dark."

I thought that the first couple of episodes were pretty rough, but once they got the 'detective' stuff out of their systems it got better and better.

I was actually in Suncoast, and found a stuffed Meatwad. Of course, I purchased it immediatly and it now sleeps on my bed with me.

If only it could talk.

I am so going to Suncoast this weekend!

Did anyone see the bumpers the other night about the ATHF Volume 2 DVD? I think Volume 2 ships June 15/16 and I cannot wait. :-)
Nflux Forever
Anyone see Sunday's episode? Frylock invents a new toilet for Carl. The toilet proceeds to grind up Carl's body from the neck down. So frylock spends the rest of the making all these crappy new bodies to attach Carl's head. Meatwad steals the only good one out the lot and uses its weapons to blast Shake to Hell.
triggerhappyjack
I rented the DVDs and spent the past weekend turning all my friends onto this show. I'm also taking a web design class and my final project website is going to be an Aqua Teens fansite.

My favorite line, from the Leprachaun episode: "Look, when we started this thing, I told you that I wasn't a leprachaun, that I'm from Rhode Island, and that I'm half-Korean, and you said it didn't matter!"

Also, "Plutonians are teh suck." Like...he pronounced "the" as "teh"!! Brilliant.
The Pez
I just finished my DVD. I just love this show!

When does the new season start?
pigcops
This is the best cartoon ever! It needs to be longer, and I hope they come out with season 2
JimsBride
Beginning April 19th, two episodes of ATHF will be shown Sunday-Thursday at midnight. They're starting off with Rabbot. Yippee!!
Hasbro
I rented the Young Ones DVD and was struck by how simular the dynamic was with the Aqua Teens.
  • They are never seen participating in their chosen professions. The Young Ones being students, Aqua Teens detectives.
  • They're broke
  • They both live in a dump.
  • They don't do shit.
  • The plot always finds them.
  • The plot is typicaly very absurd.
The Young Ones and Aqua Teens also have character paralels. Meatwad and Niel are both the put upon idiots, Frylock kind of occupies the same role as both Mike and Vyvian, the leader, brain and badass, Bukovski and Carl the wacky neighbors and Shake and Rick are assholes.
LTG
Hmmm... same dynamic in Girls on Top, '80s Britcom starring some female compatriots of The Young Ones. We may have hit upon a comedic archetype.

I just imagined Shake yelling, "Hands up, who likes me!" It could work.
zotofmu
It would seem that the costumes shown during the bumper last night have jumped from $30-ish to $170.
Vermicious Knid
Bidding ended with that. Plus $78 shipping.

I thought it was hysterical how they were making fun of all the mistakes in the listing. The seller should send them a personal thanks for getting them a much larger amount they should have.
arachne
I'm pretty new to Aqua Teens, but I'm already infected. Can't wait for the new schedule to kick in.
Just curious: I see Shake has hands (sort of), but does he ever use them for anything?
Kaboom
Just curious: I see Shake has hands (sort of), but does he ever use them for anything?

He seems to wave them around for extra emphasis every now and then.

Shake is tempting me. Every time I walk past the Suncoast at the mall I see him in the store window, and I feel the need to buy him. Except that I want Meatwad and Frylock, but they're always sold out!
Vermicious Knid
Funny, I had to ask at the Hot Topic and found out they had been selling so poorly they were taken to the back room and I got a Meatwad for my friend's son at half price clearance.
Kaboom

I'd like to know who's hoarding the Frylocks and Meatwads in Maryland since I can't find them. No fair!

I just voted for Frylock. It's that voice, baby.
pockettheroach

Agreed. I am slightly disturbed by the five people who voted for Meatwad, though. He's adorable, but probably ridden with e. coli. Not to mention the chicken infection. He should probably be refrigerated.
Kaboom

hee! Also, the poor thing has just the one tooth. Ew. But I still love the 'wad. He and Boxy Brown can come stay at my house whenever they want.
The Pez
I voted for Meatwad, because I'm straight...and he is the closest to a girl.
Hasbro
Not that I'd vote for anybody on this show, (there have been 2 women?) But how can there be a poll without Karl?

With him at least you know you'd be getting paid in pennies.
Schwartzvald
I voted for Meatwad, mostly because he looks like an Italian meatball, which is part of my four basic food groups (Italian, Chinese, American fast food, and cookies).

New episodes on the 25th and 2nd!

Fear the awesome power of the quad laser!
Kaboom
New episodes on the 25th and 2nd!

Whoo hoo!

I am so loving the ATHF commercials I've been seeing on a lot of channels lately. It showcases some of the best scenes as it advertises the upcoming new eps of the show. Carl telling the teens to get the hell out of his pool will NEVER get old. :-)
arachne
Saw the ep with the moon people last night. I wracked my brain wondering who they reminded me of, then I flashed on Space Invaders.
Pre-Reagan video game tech - hee hee! Nice.
MrCecil
Just discovered this show. Love it. I stay up to watch it at midnight now. Saw the Mooninites in their 8 bit glory coming down to steal Carl's pornography and his dresser drawer (which bored them, so they promptly burned it). Must be seen to be appreciated.
the fresh maker
I voted for Frylock cuz he's a playa. Meatwad seems underaged, and Shake is too gooey.
Lantern7
It's not a good sign what you can't remember the plot right away. Or maybe replacing Dr. Weird with the two aliens (no, the other two) threw me. Anyway, Shake kills himself in order to haunt Meatwad via a video game. Frylock corrals Meatwad and Carl into trying to bring him back...but the socks-wearing witch doctor is too stupid to pull it off. The crying baby was a little sick, if you ask me.
kate2
My brother recently got me hooked on this show. It is fantastic and funny and strange, all rolled up in one. Though I find myself feeling so bad for Meatwad. I know I shouldn't get emotional about a silly cartoon, but Master Shake is so mean to him, and what is the deal with his toys? Anyway, great show. That is all.
Kaboom
and what is the deal with his toys?

Do you mean Meatwad's toys? Have you seen Happy Time Harry yet?

Shake kills himself in order to haunt Meatwad via a video game. Frylock corrals Meatwad and Carl into trying to bring him back

I was hoping Frylock would just turn the video game off once he saw Shake appear in it.
Navin
Meatwad doesn't have toys, he has dolls!
kate2
Meatwad doesn't have toys, he has dolls!

You're right, they are dolls. (Sorry!)

Do you mean Meatwad's toys? Have you seen Happy Time Harry yet?

No, I haven't - but I'm afraid to after seeing the other dolls! I have only just finished the first DVD. How ridiculous to feel so bad for a cartoon character - I never really felt bad for Kenny in South Park. Meatwad just seemed so helpless. That won't stop me watching though. I am truly addicted now.
Navin
Not only does Meatwad have dolls, but some of them are homemade. Pretty pathetic, but he seems to be the happiest of the three.
kate2
Yeah, you're right Navin, Meatwad does seem to be the happiest of the three.
iluvrupert
That's what happens when you can remove your brain.

Okay, I think I've figured out this show elementally:

Master Shake = Fire (Will). He's the most headstrong, most determined to act.
Frylock = Air (Mind). He's the thinker and problem-solver.
Meatwad = a mix of Water (Emotion) and Earth (Physical Sensation). He's the most emotional and sympathetic to others, and the most desirous of material things (playing with toys, going to the mall). Besides, didn't he mention that he's a Taurus? 'Nuff said.

For more on the subject, go here and scroll down to "The Magick of South Park."

Haven't found a character to represent the fifth element - Spirit - yet. Dr. Weird?

Anyway, I found all elements in play in tonight's episode about the mummy.
