They have Assy on tape apologizing to Ereka for calling her a racist?!? I'm assuming this is after the pot/kettle/black incident. If Ereka had truly called Assy the "N" word prior to making the pot/kettle/black statement, there's no way in hell Assy would have apologized. I think we finally have PROOF that Assy bold face lied about this one. I really, really hope they show that tape at the finale in front of all 16 contestants and the entire viewing audience.
The quote from Ereka stating that O. apologized on tape was given BEFORE O.'s View Appearance. Plus, if there were a tape of O. apologizing, I'd think That Ereka/Trump/burnett would have aired it to clear Ereka's name. Which leads me to believe that said tape doesn't really exist at all.

Boilergal: I thought George was The Donald's lawyer? Why would an apprentice work under or alongside George, if he primarily deals with the legal side of things?
I'm pretty sure that George was introduced as Senior Legal Counsel
and an Executive Vice President. Though he has a law degree, I think that he probably does just as much if not more work now in his Vice President capacity.
I remember hearing Trump on Howard Stern promoting the show before it aired. When Howard said he was impressed that on this show, instead of a one-time prize you get to actually get a job and run a company, Donald qualified (multiple times), "well, one of my
smaller companies, yes." Though recent articles have Trump talking up how big the salary is, on the Stern show he really painted the entire "prize package" as sort of a starter-exec-job, with a "good" salary.

Just curious, but where did this info come from? It is the first time I've read it, and it doesn't make sense to me -- I thought George was The Donald's lawyer
George himself said it at the beginning. He was introduced by Trump as his EVP and general counsel, and then in one of the early episodes -- can't remember if it was the first or when he was talking about Sam -- he himself stated that whoever won would be working closely with him.

NY Post article on TD's new book. Essentially excerpts, but quite insightful. I hope the next crop of apprentices read it. The current batch could've used it.
Also in the NY Post from today's Page Six column, a snippet on the kinds of perks TD gets is
HERE and in the Sightings portion of the column is a
tidbit mentioning Sam and Heidi.Letter to the editor in today's NY Times from an associate dean at the Yale School of Management about TA. My favorite quotes:
The competitors have consistently resorted to sleazy sex peddling, deceptive selling tactics and sabotage of coworkers. The teams are designed as circular firing squads with the goal of destroying colleagues.
The public watches "The Apprentice" not as an alternative to the recent corporate shenanigans, but to get a glimpse into their origins.

This morning The Donald was interviewed on CNN by Wolf Blitzer and only bits of it referred to the show. I left the room from time to time, and *missed* something about 'Apprentice' -- the slightly after-topic subtitle was saying "charges of racism on Apprentice", but they had already moved on to talking about something else.
Did anybody else see this? I can imagine what the question, but what specifically was The Donald's answer?

I saw it and Tivo'd it. Wolfy and TD were talking about the Omyneurosis/Erika "racial slur" debate. After dinner I will watch it again and post the gist of the interview here.

Yes, I saw the show. The Donald called Omarosa on the carpet for the racism charge. Don't remember his exact quote but if you read between the lines he said she that "O" was full of $h*t. He seemed genuinely angered by the charge.

Actually, this is a common practice -- there's a whole sub-industry in clip services, whose job it is to do exactly that. Publishers, for example, will hire out clip services (or just get a lowly editorial assistant to do the task) to collect every book review, article, or even brief blurb about books and authors. (I work at a large art museum, and we contract with a clip service to collect every review of every exhibition and exhibition catalogue.) The cramped windowless rooms are usually in highrises, not basements, though. :)

I think this right for one reason; this is a new venture and I can't imagine Trump bringing in the winner of his reality show to run an already established subsidiary. I mean, (just guessing) that any company he owns that has been around for any period of time, probably already has a president. And I can't for any reason see someone who has risen through the Trump ranks, by actual real work, just stepping aside for any of these yahoos.
Trump: "Hey president of one of my companies, I need you to move on down to the mail room so the winner of my reality show can take your job for a year."
President of company: "Oh...of course."
Nah - I bet it is Trump Ice.

I seriously doubt it is Trump Ice. Instead, I bet that it is something like this: Trump says the company is not created yet, etc. I will bet that it ends up being something Apprentice related, i.e. merchandising, branding, negotiating product placements for the suite, public appearances, etc.
From the
South Coast Today article
Soon, he'll have a famous apprentice with a $250,000 salary, an agent, and a huge TV fan base. "Yes, my apprentice will be a superstar."
And it isn't like Trump not to make the most of what he has been given. So whoever The Apprentice turns out to be, I doubt it will be a rise to the top of corporatedom ala Melanie Griffith in Working Girl. More like a "you are famous and you can make Trump Inc more famous. And all we have to do is pay you at most $250,000"
And of course there is the "if you make the 1st year" clause that could withold the 2nd $125,000. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find that the winner is offered much more from someone else and takes whatever money they can and runs.

I kind of doubt that LLalltheway. Trump has the final two but the decision won't be announced until the live show. Why would any of the rejects know? There is no winner yet. He could be one of those two. I hope not because he hasn't demonstrated any leadership the times he was PM and instead of laughing off Heidi and Oma's lunch fight he should have actually done something about it, like oh, a leader. Is that how he's going deal with interpersonal problems in a company? Plus I'm still disgusted by that stunt at Planet Hollywood.

Realtor Magazine does a "Top 30 under 30" feature every year. i found out Katrina will be on the cover. Ick
This makes me very glad I work for a realtor. Last year's feature was actually pretty interesting to see how these people sold the amount of houses they did...one guy promised his clients he would sell their house within 90 days...if it didn't sell by then, he bought it himself...and then sold it off to someone else.
I would love to see how Katrina sold the houses she did...she's in high-priced real estate, right? So are we. The market fluctuates, obviously, here on the south Georgia Coast, our season is just starting and will run through October. I would assume that she has a fuller season being in Miami, so it is possible. But it also depends on her description of "High-Priced". In our case, we sell Luxury Homes that range from about $900K to usually $3-4M. But "High-Priced" could technically start at around $350K. And it is a lot easier to sell several houses at $350K then several at $900K. It's one of those economic equations, that say you can generally sell many more products at a lower price than you can at a higher one. But now I'm confusing myself, probably b/c I didn't pay attention in my highschool Economics class b/c my teacher was an idiot who figured high school students couldn't possibly have enough "life experience" to know anything, and that was the reason I walked out of her class.
Ok, my ADD rant of the day is now complete.

The dates in that article don't really add up. Isn't she supposed to be 29? If so, then she

Quite a frightening personal statement by Omarosa. She says she's filming a sitcom pilot tomorrow.
I can't say this with absolute certainty, but I'm pretty sure her timing is way off, making this another one of her out-and-out lies.
If I understand the process correctly, ideas are pitched to the networks in January. They ask to see pilots of certain concepts, and they start looking at those right about now (which means the pilots are already filmed), with final decisions about the fall season made in May. No one knew who Assy was in time for the January pitches. And even if someone said "Hey, I'm inspired by Assy -- I want a sitcom about a delusional bitch who thinks she's really a strong black woman," I suspect they'd go for a real actress. Someone with, like, training and experience? And, let's face it, someone who's prettier. Plus, Assy's too deliberate in her speech and has a staginess about her that wouldn't cut it on any kind of scripted series. I don't believe she could overcome it, either.

Well, she didn't actually write the article (there is a by-line at the very bottom) but it did sound rather disjointed, I agree.
When she first mentioned having a role on a sitcom I just assumed she meant a guest-starring role on some current sitcom, which I could almost (*almost*) see. But then she went on to talk about it so it did sound like she was saying they created a sitcom around her. And I also don't buy it. For one thing, we'd surely be hearing more about it in the media if it were true.

Is it really possible she could be filming a pilot already?
A pilot could be filming now for a possible summer series.
As
DariaG notes (and as I mentioned in the Omarosa thread), pilot season is in full swing right now in L.A., which is one of the reasons why it strikes me as simply impossible that either A) a new sitcom was fabricated for Omarosa for which she would be filming the pilot "tomorrow" (!) or B) that even an existing sitcom would be able to be rewritten to incorporate a fairly well-defined role such as the one she describes. A walk-on cameo? Sure, she could technically be doing that "tomorrow" (or "today," if she actually spoke to the writer of the article yesterday). But I am positive she does not have her own show, and has not been given a real role (in her words, a "fun, educated woman who’s married to a really conservative dentist") in an existing show. The industry just simply doesn't work like that.
And there's no mention of this development from what I can tell in the trade dailies -- i.e,
Variety and
Hollywood Reporter -- and believe me, if one of the most talked-about reality TV participants
ever was filming a pilot in L.A. right now, it would be front-page news in this town.
