BTW I met Tony Danza today randomly. If you wanna hear a sorta funny story about it, feel free to email me. I resisted the urge to ask why the slutted up Ereka even more, though.

Goodness, Trump is laughing all the way to the bank and is truly trying to take over the entire world. Looking over these media articles, I expect to truly see the "Trumpon", gold lined tampons with Trump's headshot on each one with the inscription "for the professional woman with demanding tastes". Ewww.
But, his ego is already out of control. Lord help us all now that he has two more successes and all the product tie ins and spin off marketing ventures.

I'm watching Stacie J. on The Today Show ... I have to run carpool, but first let me say ...
What a grown-up. And she said that her firing was "a wimp move" on Trump's part. Calm, cool, collected, honest ... very impressive.
She also pointed out that she had to take personality, psychologocial and IQ tests to get on the show ... if she truly were crazy, they should have picked it up beforehand.
I liked her. Trump is an idiot.

ITA, Mswestern. She came across very well; she wasn't defensive, and didn't ramble without making a point. I did think her outfit was a little loud for 8:20 in the morning. Matt gave her the opportunity to suggest that she was targeted because of her race, but she didn't go there. Was disappointed because she thought she'd be judged on merit, not brought down by an angry mob. She thought her firing was "more facial than racial." Heh.

I just came from the website to apply for the 3rd season of
The Apprentice and found this stipulation:
Any offer to become a player is conditioned upon your submission to physical and psychological examinations to be conducted in Los Angeles, CA, by medical professionals selected by and paid for by the Producers and the certification of the medical professionals that you meet all physical and psychological requirements.
Also known as the
Omarosa stipulation. I wonder how Stacie got missed.

I'm glad they showed the 8-ball clip on Today. The first time around, I didn't realize how positively terrifying Stacie was. Boy, that li'l StacY is quite the actress. For someone who was having the most frightening moment of her life, she sure hid it well behind that "Huh?" expression.
I was disappointed that Matt didn't ask more pertinent questions like "Why didn't you defend yourself in the boardroom?" Well, there is a reason I never watch these morning shows.

I'll say this for Stacie J. - she came out of that interview looking better than many of the women last season did during their Today appearances. I'm very glad she made the point that she had to pass psychological and IQ tests to get on the show. I feel that Matt should have asked harder questions, but he was still better than Katie IMO.

It was "facial not racial" (tm Stacie) ya'll. Interesting interview on Today. I agree with what everyone said about how she came across to me and I agree with Stacie that it was a whimpy firing and I've lost positive regard for Trump because of his boneheaded decision. I'm glad she didn't just kiss his butt.

From the
Edmonton Sun article:
And let me tell you, sisters and brothers, after seeing last night's episode of The Apprentice, I've never felt quite so lucky to be a man. See, guys can be real jerks to each other, set each other up, knock each other around, steal each other's toys and cars and women and what have you. But when it comes to being mean, to being venomously, profoundly, unapologetically cruel - man, we got nothin' on women.
Wow, that is totally correct. I view the ganging-up on Stacie as just that - venomus and mean. Not that I think she wasn't a little kooky, or that she had a shot at winning, but they were just
mean to her.

Don't know if this has been covered much before, I just read Sammy S's recap of Episode 3 on the Yahoo! site and he's not only absolutely hilarious (the Roman Empire comments had me laughing right here at my desk) but insightful too. He probably saw parallels between himself and Stacie and made those points subtly--and I also think that Apex is going to be in trouble if they assume they're on the winning track just because they got rid of the team outcast--and with flair. It makes me wonder another thing: how come no publisher wanted to take a run with his book that was called A $1,000 CUP OF LEMONADE or something like that? If it was as much fun to read as his recaps, someone missed out on a good tome to publish.

And this would be really funny if it weren't so true. Oh, who am I kidding? It's still plenty funny:
Ivana, the unsuccessful project manager in Episode 2, should have been fired. If Ivana were a traffic cop, there would be gridlock everywhere. She would deserve to be fired if she were self-employed.

MSNBC.com is running ads for Crest, or is it for the Apprentice, letting you submit your own marketing plan for Crest Vanilla toothpaste. The winner gets to go to the Apprentice Finale. In a move too-close-to-be-a-coincidence, they placed the ad on a page with a review for NBC's Emmy broadcast written by Linda Holmes (aka Miss Alli).

Heh. That ad campaign/contest just tells me that P&G was roundly unimpressed with the results of *both* teams.
The sponsors don't expect to get real/successful campaigns from the candidates. P & G paid the show $50,000 for product placement, so no matter how either team decided to promote the new flavor, the contest would still have been held.
NYCynthia
Sep 24, 2004 @ 9:26 pm
Obviously that wasn't going to be the whole ad push, but the fact that people at P&G probably were sitting around going, "damn, everyday Americans could do better than this!", thus the contest which is thinly veiled as "Do something better than The Apprentice Wannabes" was born. That's what I was getting at.
Plus, I bet the folks at Mattel are still hoarse from yelling "neener, neener" in the general direction of P&G.

Hey, kids! Guess which fat-headed billionaire is on the cover of TV Guide (October 3-9)? Sadly, even though the show may have jumped the shark, Trump made the cover, flanked by two mental patients in Maria and Raj. Like Raj would be on the cover if he didn't have the cane, the bow ties, and the warship fetish. Plus side? It's not a mogul wank cover like last time with Trump and a not-quite-dressed-for-The Boardroom Omarosa and another Protege lady (Heidi? I don't remember).

Oh, my dear Lord ... that's just ... geez. The first thing I thought of when I read this was the Star Trek cruises. You buy a ticket and get to rub shoulders with John de Lancie ("Q"), Grace Lee Whitney ("Yeoman Rand"), and a lot of other second- and third-stringers from the show. That's one way to keep your "career" alive, I guess. I'll have to keep up on this one; I'm guessing that Jason, David and Bowie pass, Katrina and Ereka make "special guest appearances" at particular ports of call, and Assorama knocks over Tammy and Kristi in her haste to get on board -- even though she wasn't invited.
