Hire Bradford or fire him? CNBC

Inc.com's blog review of TA2

Gael Interesting article. I might agree with some of your assessment of Bradford if this had been, say, week six or seven. But it's only been two weeks! I just don't think that's long enough to determine that someone basically thinks his s*** don't stink. (My paraphrasing there.)

Also, maybe I'm wrong, but if Bradford had worked for Trump in real life and done well (as he did in his tasks on TA), and then he went on to make a mistake, I have a hard time believing Trump would have fired him. A good worker who brings in the business? Nah, I don't believe it. Now, maybe he'd have read him the riot act for waiving immunity, for taking a risk, however minimal. Put the fear of God in him. But fire him when there were weaker links in the organization? Just me, but I didn't buy whatever Trump was selling in that boardroom.

You're not the only one who agreed with the firing, clearly. A lot of folks felt that Bradford was the right choice. But for my money, the length and breadth of Ivana's suckitude was awesome to behold, and she should have gotten the boot.

Besides which, from a programming point of view, we all know now that inept Ivana's days are numbered. (Not to mention Stacie's.) There is no suspense or interest in watching her, since we know it's just a matter of time. Whereas wondering what Bradford was going to bring to the table each week--in terms of ideas and skills--and whether his sometimes inappropriate (read: sexist) remarks were going to land him in hot water, and just *when* exactly his number might be up (week three? seven? twelve?) would have been vastly more entertaining, at least for me. Even watching him after TD's yooge reprimand might have been more interesting than having to watch an ineffectual Ivana continue cluttering my TV screen.

Ah well, different strokes and all that!
txsunshine33
Thanks goobaletta...thought you hadn't seen it. Should have known better. Hee.

What was Bradford referring to in the NY Newsday link below from goobaletta

"I was feeling the electricity between us and I just called her Caroline," Cohen said jokingly. "I had an ex-girlfriend named Caroline once."

What electricity? He made it sound like she had the hots for him or something. Or was he mistaking that for venom?

Many more people know the name Omarosa, the noxious villain of the first season of "The Apprentice," than Ericka Dunlap, last year's Miss America. Reality TV shows are the country's new pageants, it's just that they winnow the field of competitors to one and turn them, very briefly, into semi-celebrities by rewarding treachery and naked ambition instead of manners and curves.
From an article about the Miss America pageant in today's Washington Post. The best part? You know O, and all her former colleagues, etc., will run across it when they read their paper this morning. Heh. My despising of this woman never lessens.

Hilarious segment on Best Week Ever- generally asking why someone would want to work for Trump. Said that he's not the best example with the multiple bankruptcies and all. Plus a really funny "My bankruptcy was yooge, it was the biggest bankruptcy ever!" snark.
archer1267
Out here in greater Boston we have a freebie newspaper called the Metro, and there was a brief article on Ereka in there...special to their Real Estate section. Ereka bought a condo with her boyfriend in Bronxville, NY; all those comments by Omarosa about Ereka "living in her parents' basement" were for naught. There wasn't really anything of value in the article - just things like "I was tired of watching rent go out the window with nothing to show for it" and "improvements add re-sale value." I'm not really sure why they interviewed her other than for the local ties.
goobaletta
archer1267's mention of the Metro reminded me of the Boston Phoenix, a paper I used to read when I lived up in New England. Anyhow, I found some stories dating back to the DNC convention in their archives that I missed before. I did check and don't think they've been posted previously. If they have been, please accept my apologies.

Second-best celebrity sighting of the night. Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, the political-consultant-turned-villainess of the popular TV program The Apprentice, caught my eye after the real-deal celebrity encounter relayed above. I wasn’t especially impressed (as soon as Omarosa lied to Kwame on the show, I lost all respect), but plenty of kiss-up reporters were hounding Omarosa for her autograph. As I passed the horde, I heard one snappily dressed female reporter coo, "I got Omarosa’s email!"
Ew.

Can someone clear up this mystery?

Today there was a small blurb in my local paper saying that the new issue of Star magazine is reporting that a Stacy Ferreira from the new season of The Apprentice was at a party in the Hamptons. One of Victoria Gotti's sons was also at the party and Stacy (or was it Stacie?) supposedly made a scene by yelling at him that she was going to be a bigger star. She said something like "Your show only gets 3 million viewers, my show gets 40 million. I'm going to be the biggest thing on The Apprentice!"

Someone in the Stacie topic answered this question. This Star article was about Sandy, the bridal shop owner. However, my local paper apparently got the first name wrong and identified the woman as Stacy Ferreira. Anyway, this sounds like something Sandy would say because she comes across as a snobby bitch on this show.
Vermicious Knid
I did? I'm so sorry goobaletta, I look at everything you post but I don't always click on every link.grovel, grovel

I was trying to search the Bergen Record and the Newark Star-Ledger, which are NY Metro/NJ papers but they give my browser fits and require registration. I don't think you've posted anything from either of those...
goobaletta
Oh Vermicious Knid. No need to grovel. I hadn't had my chocolate for the day yet when I typed that. I'm all better now.

As for the NJ papers? I don't think I have used them since Nick was on last season. I think the Bergen paper had at least one or two articles on him about his HS days but it may have been another. After a while they all run together. Wait....it's possible one of them had something about Ereka when she was tossing out baseballs last spring, but I can't recall which one.

The registration thing is a total pain. I'd say at least 1/2 the sites that didn't require it last season do now. I have to keep a file with a list of them to keep them all straight.

vvvvv DMW_SFU, you make a good point. The writer's presentation makes all the difference. And as for loose vs. lose? My Canajun writer pal knows the difference, so I'm thinking that was an editing or typographical error done while inputting the story.
DMW_SFU
goobaletta, maybe the writer just chose not to focus on the school thing. It didn't sound like he was hesitant to talk about it, but that the writer crammed it all into one paragraph, which isn't that surprising considering the writer also can't tell the difference between lose and loose (and neither can that paper's line and/or copy editors, apparently) -- or am I missing something and lose is spelled like loose in Canada?

... They can literally loose their identity,” says McClain ...

Poor Kermit! It's bad enough he's stuck interviewing folks on the Emmy red carpet with Miss Piggy, but to have to deal with Omarosa too? Gah. And of course, Miss Piggy lurves O. Except for her Kermie love, that pig's taste is all in her mouth. Well, obviously...

Typing of Emmy, turn on your TV to ABC if it's not on already. TD is a presenter tonight and TA is nominated for Best Reality Show.
txsunshine33
Ewww, I needed warning that Starr Jones was the lead off of that Kwame link! Hee. Can't stand her.

I saw her on E! on the Red Carpet and just couldn't stomach her at all. And I was even more disgusted when she started talking to Omarosa. She asked Starr something like "isn't he hot?" And obnoxious Starr uses this to flaunt her upcoming marriage to her gay fiance. Yep gay. It's like these two nasty women use their normal looking and relatively nice looking men to prove to the world that they are desirable and should be envied.

Looking at DT and Melania. She sure looks high maintenance to me. I hope TA wins. It's a good show.

Just saw someone named Maria interviewing DT and Melania on the red carpet. You'd think there'd be at least one English major among the MBAs who could edit their press release. Ah well. I find such in many of the press releases I read each week. I'm beginning to think it's an industry problem among PR folk.

Did anyone catch the utter lameness that was TD and Simon from AI as presenters? It was just so baaaaad.

Can't tell from the website. It's under re-construction. "Lady O" appears to be revamping her image. The big shock--the title bar at the top says "THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE." She must be really desperate to say 'thanks.' In any form.

Black Enterprise recap/review by Alfred Edmond I'm thinking he didn't watch the added footage and I'm also beginning to think he has something against Stacie J. He seems to have missed a lot of relevant information. Overall, I find it to be the most disappointing review of his that I've read thus far. Hate that, I do.
txsunshine33
Thanks goobaletta. I think Edmond isn't fully appreciating the whole story here. I promptly sent him an email about the Saturday show. One thing I have to give to him...he didn't hold back last year or this year in criticizing the African-American candidates if warranted. Which I like because it shows he's fair. This time, I think he's a bit off because he's not fully appreciating the biddies.
NYCynthia
Not only that, but how has she "repeatedly" stated that she didn't want to be friends with these women? I only recall hearing her say it once, and that was in a private interview. Then, of course, actions speak louder than words. For the most part, she's arguably acted fine with them, participating in the charades game (Yahoo video) as well as the other "bonding" moments we've seen when both teams are together.
I emailed him.
