I'm sure there's at least a few Bills and Kwames in the group. The Donald does have a stake in the outcome; so he'll pick at least a few people that he feels he could hire. However, you also need some amusing characters and backstabbers and cheaters, so we can watch them self-destruct and get fired.

I don't think spotting George and Carolyn will be that easy. IIRC, the only time the two of them were ever outside with the group was when they were selling lemonade and the pedicab competition. Maybe they'll just have to meet the group at certain locations versus following them around as they did in season 1.

Fuzzylogic, there were a few other times they were out in public with them -- one time was at the flea market with both teams (you could see Carolyn standing next to the table with all the t-shirts on them, same with George).
And then Carolyn and George AND Trump himself were with all the Apprentice folks (those remaining) in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art when they were given one of their challenges...and that's such a public place, you could see folks just walking around, so they will likely be out and about where they can be spotted.

I tuned in to the Red Sox Blue Jays game today, and one of the New England Sports Network guys was interviewing Nick who apparently threw out the first ball. This was in Toronto and there appeared to be, like, 3,000 people in attendance. It was a sad, lame interview, and he gave the same tired spiel about how he and Amy had only a brief "showmance," and how his career is taking off with all these new opportunities. Well, obviously, because they don't let just anyone toss out that first pitch when the stadium is filled to about one eighteenth of its capacity.

The tragedy is that I think Omarosa would whole-heartedly agree with the writer. She would assume that the writer understood how she was
portrayed didn't come close to showing how she really
behaved.
At the end of the day, I don't think the editing process could possibly manipulate a person's character to the point that Omarosa claims. As
Miss Alli mentioned (a long time ago), if race is involved, it would be in casting a stereotypical Black woman. It's like a reporter who goes to the toothless Black dude with a gheri curl to ask "what happened." The reporter knew that the toothless guy would give a much more interesting account for what happened than say the older straight-laced guy just a few feet away. I don't think it's a stretch to assume Burnett picked Omarosa because he knew she'd be a headache and a half for anybody stuck with her loopy ass for more than an hour.
If the articles upthread are true, next season we'll have 2 Black women on the show. I bet their backstories will be completely different. And if one is anything like Omarosa, she's going to make life for the other one a living hell. If they're both like Omarosa...we're all in trouble.

I was hoping this was some weird error (Tom Arnold is on tomorrow, and O's original appearance was with him, so I was hoping for a major screw-up on the website), but Jay just said that she's on tonight. It was funny, though. He said Rodney Dangerfield is on the show; wild applause and cheering. And Omarosa; you could hear crickets chirping. Seriously, no noise whatsoever. I'm just hoping Rodney has some serious snark for her. As I recall, Tom made some remarks (didn't he say that he met her husband backstage and he could tell that guy was terrified of her?).
eta: I'm definitely going to see if the website for The Tonight Show has a feedback link, because I want to let them know just exactly how much I do not want to see this bitch again on my TV. I don't care if she has a cure for cancer. I don't care if she actually achieves World Peace. Go. Away. Forever!
eta: Looks like Rodney's not going to be bringing any snark; he just ended his segment and walked offstage. He must have something better to do than sit next to her and listen to whatever bullshit she's spewing tonight. Like maybe a high colonic.

Glad I'm not the only one to have sent feedback to The Tonight Show. I told them how disappointed I was that Jay was pandering to her ego and how they completely avoided the only issue that's relevant. Until and unless she is willing to publicly address the issue of Ereka using the n-word (admit that she lied and apologize face to face; take a lie detector test; bring some evidence to support her claim), there is absolutely no excuse for the media to allow her to profit from this attempt to ruin someone's life. The crap they did discuss was competely irrelevant and a smokescreen; she's hoping if she can keep everyone's attention on this stuff, we'll forget about the n-word claim. All they did last night was feed her ego. No, Jay, she's NOT a nice person; she's only trying to play one to extend her 15 minutes and hope we forget what the real issue is. I had hoped for better.

It sounds like Katrina really has a knowledge of college football, and football in general with a passion for it. If she really does and wants to do it, perhaps the folks at ESPN ought to consider bringing her in as a sideline reporter, perhaps at least on a limited basis doing such on the lesser games on ESPN2 (perhaps the Noon/9:00 AM PT Saturday games there) or ESPN Plus (ESPN's Pay-Per-View arm that also televises such games on over-the-air stations and regional sports channels in some cities) to see how she handles it. Omarosa has a very lengthy Q&A in this month's Sister 2 Sister. It was weird, in the beginning, her responses to questions were so normal. But as soon as Jamie (the interviewer) got into The Apprentice, Assy started talking crazy again. It's mostly the same stuff you've already heard, so I'll just drop the new stuff:
1. Trump's a coward for saying that Kwame lost because of her. The real truth is that Trump does not want any of "us" running his company.
2. She, Bill, Amy, and Kwame are very good friends now because they're smart enough to understand what happened to her and the rest were not.
3. She's writing a tell-all book...even though 2 questions later she says she's not allowed to speak on certain things.
4. She refused to respond to the Ereka N-Word thing
5. She also refused to expand on the 2-story building that fell on her head while the cameras were turned in the other direction.
6. The living quarters were very cramped and 8 women had to share 2 bathrooms. And they (the White women) were not as clean as "we" are (either just her and Jamie or Black women all together, you decide).
7. Trump offered her a job for 125k a year. But she refused because that's not enough money to live in NY. And of course, she couldn't give details of the job offer because...well there were none. But her excuse is that "she's moved on."
I can't remember much else. Oh, she kept talking about this talk show in the works. Maybe it'll be on TV-1 or something because I can't imagine an established network taking her seriously. A show on that network would just replace 1 of the 30 "Good Times" episodes that air every day.

The View yesterday? That ex-Survivor chick, Elizabeth, was talking about how she lives in a Trump building and that she's convinced the TA2 folks are living there too. Anyhow, she described them as being very paranoid, unwilling to make eye contact, dressed oddly for "real" business jobs, waiting until elevators are empty before using them and so on. So this Elizabeth person has sworn to be a spy and to keep The View's audience updated on what she discovers. I wonder what her good friend MB has to say about that?

Until and unless she is willing to publicly address the issue of Ereka using the n-word (admit that she lied and apologize face to face; take a lie detector test; bring some evidence to support her claim),...
Omarosa doesn't have to say anything about the allegation. The damage is done and she knows it. Both she and Ereka were tarnished because of this. The only way Omaorsa will ever respond to these questions is if she's hauled into court. Which leads me to my next point....why hasn't Ereka taken legal action? I would think, if there were definitive proof that this whole allegation never happened, that Ereka would have sued Omaorsa.
Miss Alli
May 19, 2004 @ 4:14 pm
It's impossible, essentially, to prove it never happened. Omarosa has already said (sometimes) that it happened when the cameras were off, when nobody else could hear it, blah dee blah. It's not really possible for Ereka to prove that it never happened, unfortunately. It's part of what makes it a convenient way to try to trash somebody's reputation.

$125,000 a year for many people is NOT enough to live in Manhattan, unless you want to live in a cubicle for an apartment without a roomate. The rents in New York, especially in Manhattan are extremely high, and some people are paying as much as 90%(!) of their income towards rent in New York.
The way things are in New York, that is very true, especially if you want to live well. Heidi (whom I'm using here as an example) I believe lives here in Philly for instance, and even in Center City (the most expensive part of Philly) probably could easily live well on about half the $125,000 that Trump was supposedly offering Omarosa.

I'll add on the praise to goobaletta for all the links. And agree with Wallyhorse that Katty did seem to have solid opinions regarding college football. I've always been a Sportscenter and NFL fan, so I can keep up, but if those were off the cuff answers, and you picked the right venue (as in, sports show where the women are there primarily as eye candy), I think she'd do a half decent job at some correspondent job.
Also, Omarosa called into my local country station this morning (Northern California). She giggled a lot, to avoid answering everything. The bashing started once she hung up, but during the call, she would not give out any information. In response to the question whether she would be involved with TA2 she responded that she couldn't talk about it, but that her face did seem to be in a lot of the promos. She said she couldn't mention the title of her upcoming book. She did talk about her new website and her 900 number, and said the latter was for people to "vent" for $2.99 a minute. When the DJ asked if she was answering the calls, she giggled and said yes. When they pressed her on any of the questions she avoided answering, she said, "Call the 900 number and I can tell you!" Ugh, hate.
eta: I went and checked the link a page back and it is $3.95 a minute. Damn! Plus, the "hear my side of the story" statements make it sound like a pre-recorded statement from Omarosa, possibly explaining her giggles during the radio interview when asked "if the caller would be talking to her." Venting? Only after you've listened to a recording of Omarosa's lies for 5 minutes and realize you've given her $20. I'd be able to show you some venting.

This is a HUGE issue in New York, and has been for some time. I grew up in Manhattan, but was among the first wave that moved out of New York in the mid-1980s when the rents began to increase to ridiculous levels (in this case, when investment bankers and stockbrokers earning a then-unheard of $1 million a year suddenly were able to pay whatever they could for apartments).
Many people in Manhattan are paying on average 40-70% of their net income towards the rent, and in some cases as much as 90%!
Omarosa probably in this case is NOT lying, as much as we do hate her.

Trademark sought for "Apprentice" villain clothing line. The Smoking Gun. It would just be too funny if someone beat her to this TM.
