I missed the Oprah yesterday? Is there a transcript anywhere? Anything to perpetuate the Assorama hate.

Today the Associated Press is all ablaze with the news that Assorama was fired four times from the Clinton Administration.

Funny how that news coincides with last night's episode which clearly shows Assy to be a liar and a liability on her team. I hope Trump had a hand in suppressing that tidbit for juuuuuust the right time...

Here is the article that refers to that

Whee! It's 6:49 EST and that article is now a featured news story! (i.e. one of the most popular articles.)

E! News Daily is ALL APPRENTICE tonight.
Milanne
I just saw Omarosa on Access Hollywood and she said, about being fired from the four jobs, that the interviewer should call the White House and they'd confirm the story is false.

Amy was also interviewed and said that Omarosa should be self-employed, because no one could work for her, or with her.
Kromm
I just got that AH. Lots of the O "that's ridiculous" giggling she gives when she's trying to deflect/not give info.

You forgot to mention that she was apparently at some stupid Hollywood shindig as a correspondant for equal opportunity employer Star magazine. Equal opportunity between minions of hell and humans, I mean.
Milanne
Oh yeah, I did forget that part. She's one piece of work, that's for sure.

I just saw an ad during TA repeat on CNBC that the cast will be on Dennis Miller tonight. I didn't catch the time so check local listings.
lynettefl
Oh my gosh. On VH1's BEST WEEK EVER, they have Heidi and Omarosa commenting about this week. LOL...the commentators joke about Troy and Kwame's man-love and how Kwame has moved on to Bill.

Then, they talk about O sabotaging Kwame, and the commentators laugh about how nice Omarosa is. Next they show Omarosa complaining to the makeup artist about her facial powder and foundation. Ya'll need to watch it. It's HILARIOUS.
Mike Teevee
Re; Best Week Ever - While I've never been a big fan of Heidi's, she gives a great (snobby) delivery of the name "Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth". Really, she does. And that's me talking, not the eight Coronas.

...And how fucking sad is it that I know how to spell the name of this dirty whore?
cdredhead
I have now sunk to a new Apprentice-addiction low...searching every new database for articles with "The Apprentice".

The more I watch the show, the more I think DT is a genius: Trump Putting His Name on a Credit Card

Is there a way to main line this show right into my brain?
caltrask55
Best Week Ever was hysterical. Omarosa pulling a slight Diva act over her makeup while all the commentators were saying (joking) how nice she was had me rolling. The woman is one big joke.
Kromm
On The Tonight Show Amy wouldn't shut the hell up. To her credit she said most of the right things, and gained some points back... but Nick just sat there like a lump, unable to get a word in.

I just watch that, too. I was sooo annoyed at how much she chattered away. But I found it interesting that Leno actually made the statement that he thought Omarosa was a mole.
sunburst
Kromm I get the feeling she was kinda nervous, just the pitch of her voice seemed kind of high-strung. I tend to babble in unfamiliar or nervewracking sort of situations, so even though she was annoying me a bit I could understand it. Kinda puts some perspective on her spur-of-the-moment interview skills - she got nervous, started to babble, got a little bit louder and came off as "irritating". Which was different from pretty much the rest of the show - she wasn't really annoying to anyone, they all wanted her on their team, and seemed to like her fine. ('Cept for Katrina at the end there, who didn't like people prettier than herself. Meow.)

And Nick did get to put a couple words in there about how catty the women were, and how the FHM girls didn't even get paid, and should have gone to Playboy. Oh, and that he was single. Heh.
anonymous
Just caught America's Most Nausea-Inducing Couple on The Tonight Show too. Amy's comment about Kwame was at best a back-handed compliment; she doesn't seem to have much respect for him. She also strongly implied that Kwame could have fired Omarosa if he saw fit during that task. Other tidbits that I caught:

- Nick was asked to audition by one of the producers he already knew. He also must not watch the show, since he wasn't aware of the Four Horsemen's take on his lack of intellect.
- Amy said that for her audition, she effectively removed her skirt. (During her description of that, she seemed to be complaining about Carolyn, which she clearly is in no position to do.)

ETA: Is this 215,000 applicants a real thing? I just don't believe it; I put as much credence in it as I do the "200+ IQ" claim. Not that it's impossible, just something about the way they talk about it in their interviews... it seems exaggerated to me.
AlmondEyes
The only thing worse than that is when Oprah asked Assy point blank, "Did Erika call you the N Word?" she did cartwheels around the bush by saying "Well, I have moved past all of the horrible things that were said, and some things worse than even that were thrown around."

Word, Hollygolitely, to all of the above. Double word to everyone's complaints about Assorama touching TD every 2.5 seconds. All Oprah did was pour unnecessary fuel on the Assorama publicity train by putting her center stage with Oprah and TD. Sure, it probably made sense to separate her and Ereka, but still . . . it was yet another example of how Apprentice has become all. about. Assorama. Couldn't the producers just put them on opposite sides of the stage?? Or better yet - put Carolyn and George up there!!

I have to give it to Assorama - she's got a gorgeous face. Girlfriend would be a truly beautiful woman were it not for the fact that she's a total bitch. She did a total backpedal IMO on the Ereka n-word issue, saying that she wants to just move on from all of this ugliness. That's what kills me about Assorama; she backs off when shit that she creates blows up in her face. In a sick, twisted way, I'd almost kinda sorta (major qualifying here, folks!!) have more respect for her if she just picked one of her various and sundry lies and ran with it, kind of like "that's my story and I'm sticking to it." She's just so fake and so phony it's disgusting. At this point, I'm done with the Ohmydrama show. Just done.

Those FHM pics - they project such professionalism!!! I guess these "ladies" are trying to extend their 15 minutes by - hmmm, let's see, what time is it now?

On The Tonight Show Amy wouldn't shut the hell up.

Kromm, not to be repetitive, but when you only have 15 minutes . . . well, what can you do? But seriously, this bugged me too. To his credit, Nick handled her camera hogging very well. Didn't think it was possible to despise her more than I already did, but I sank to a new low when Amy drew us into her core of self-absorption.
Kromm
I know. I'm actually feeling sorry for Amy. She's never going to get the life she so obviously wants with a weakness like that. I mean, thankfully she's actually smarter than lets say... Ereka or Katrina... but she's a less natural fame whore. It's too artificial on her.

She needs to go back to efficiently running something out of the public eye and banging ever increasingly higher salaried boyfriends.
Tashanir
One other thing that Amy mentioned was that , out of the women, only one of the women agreed to do a Maxim spread.
Kromm
That was her dumbest statement. There is little effective difference between Maxim and FHM.

The Residences at Trump National

Just in case y'all are interested. I wanted to see what the model home was that Bill and the gang were stuffing their goody bags into before being kicked out since the home had two viewings that day.
choco
On The Tonight Show Amy wouldn't shut the hell up.

WORD! She babbled so much, I felt supremely irritated. Maybe she was nervous, but she also came off as bitter and defensive.

* She started rambling right off the bat about how she does own long skirts and professional suits, but that the producers wanted the women to dress sexy.
* She made excuses that she didn't have time to prepare for the job interview so that's why she performed so badly. Ahem...the entire show was a 13-week job interview. Amy clearly should have researched Trump's organization if she wanted to be a president in it.
* She made quite a few digs at Kwame. She said he was to blame for Omarosa lying and he should've fired her. She also said he's all talk, whereas Bill was a man of action.
* She also dodged Jay Leno's question about how she felt about Omarosa lying. It made me remember the time that she also lied in the BR about the rental car.
* She said her nickname for Omarosa was "EnoughaRosa". Though she did quip that she liked her too.
* She yelled out a warning that women should not audition for Apprentice 2 if they know what's good for them.
* She pimped Nick a lot and told women he was single and looking.

She talked alot about FHM, the showmance etc. She talked A LOT. She also flirted and talked to Quentin Tarantino during the break. Poor Nick was stuck in the middle. Amy was literally leaning over him to get to Quentin.

Nick just sat there like a lump, unable to get a word in.

Poor Nick! I actually felt quite sorry for him tonight. You can tell who the bitch was in that relationship - and I don't mean Amy. He kept mentioning that he was single and looking for love. I think he wants to be the next Bachelor. It was funny when he mentioned how catty the women were about everything, Amy looked surprised and gave him the evil eye.

She yelled out a warning that women should not audition for Apprentice 2 if they know what's good for them.

Actually, I think she yelled out a warning that all the women auditioning for Apprentice 2 shouldn't pose for FHM/Maxim/whatever girly magazines.

And I think the point she was making about no one wanting to do Maxim was that they really regretted doing FHM, in their instant-fame haze, so after they came to their senses, they were put off doing another shoot.

So, they're only mildly stupid. It would seem.
Tillies Hat
* She yelled out a warning that women should not audition for Apprentice 2 if they know what's good for them.

I actually thought she was warning them off of getting carried away with the publicity and posing for revealing photos after the show, rather than warning them off the show itself.

She didn't bug me that badly. I thought she at least showed some self-awareness that she was coming off badly with the headband-skirts. I thought that was where the "I brought all these knee-length, appropriate business clothes, but the producers kept wanting shorter skirts" talk was going.

I was actually surprised that both she and Nick were being so cagey about who they wanted to win, since Leno didn't ask them who they thought actually did win but just who they were rooting for. I couldn't understand why they wouldn't have just said something like "well they're both great guys and really smart, but of course, since we were on Bill's team, we're naturally a little biased toward him." Maybe it's just me, but I thought that would be a perfectly acceptable answer. I think I'm getting a little tired of all this coy crap. I wanna shake some of these people and scream "enough corporate-speak---no one's asking you for national secrets or even to violate your confidentiality agreement ---just tell us your *&("% opinion!"
SusanahDean
Saw the Not So Dynamic Duo on Leno and this morning with Matt Lauer... Both times Amy spok emore although Nick did a little bit more talking in the morning. I actually came away with a better like for both. I don't think Amy hogged the conversation as much as Nick sitting there passively and Amy having to answer the questions. She would look to him for input and he'd maybe offer a little something but not much. Still both were fairly charming. The interviews put me in the mind that perhaps Nick isn't that sharp.

The US Weekly article rocks but it could have been two more pages long. Can't wait til Wednesday's and Thursday's shows!
caltrask55
Amy said that for her audition, she effectively removed her skirt.

Huh?
Rabrab
And then she wonders why the producers kept urging her to wear sexier clothes?

D'oh.

And d'oh again.

ETA: Thereby establishing that she really didn't give a rat's furry little ass about looking professional, and she was all about getting the camera time, not the job. I stand by the earlier part of this post

goobaletta
Amy said that for her audition, she effectively removed her skirt.
Huh?

What Amy said was that in one of her callbacks she wore a skirt with a hemline that fell well below her knees. The producers/casting folks weren't enthused at all with her conservative appearance and so she stood up, pulled the skirt up so it essentially became a strapless dress that was very short and thus she was chosen for the show.
DMW_SFU
I thought they both came off very well and likeable. Amy definitely toned down her self-aggrandizing and Nick definitely toned down his ego.

kattam6175, I totally disagree. She still called herself a "superstar," which is completely annoying. I couldn't stand her in this interview.

Matt asked about their relationship and how they would classify it: a romance or showmance. Amy said showmance.

I also would like to make it clear that Amy said the word "showmance." Matt did not use that in his question.

You can watch the interview here; just scroll down to where it says to see today's Video.

I found it interesting that Leno actually made the statement that he thought Omarosa was a mole.

The only reason I don't find that interesting, Tashanir, is that it's so obviously true.

He also must not watch the show, since he wasn't aware of the Four Horsemen's take on his lack of intellect.

anonymous, he knew about it when he was talking to Matt Lauer on Today, so I don't know how he could not have known about it at night (unless they film The Tonight Show in advance, which I didn't realize if they do.

No, The Tonight Show, in LA is shot at least 10-12 hours after THE TODAY SHOW, in New York.

Embarrassingly enough I am posting this link from Star Magazine. See what RealityTV has turned me into (or is that just my excuse)? Nevertheless, some interesting *tidbits* assuming they are true. The scoop on several of the contestants seems plausible enough... Good Saturday morning reading :-)

Don't be embarrassed, NorthShoreJane! Since I became obsessed with TA I spend the first part of every morning online doing Google News searches and looking in major newspapers from all over the country for articles. Thanks for sharing!

My favorite tidbits from the article:
The Donald seemed very fond of contestant Amy Henry, 30. "Whenever she was in the room with him," says the source, "they'd exchange glances." The source says Trump often called Amy's cell phone to chat with her. "And whenever he did," adds the source, "she immediately boasted to her friends, 'He just called me again!'"
Amy was married to a dentist for three years in her native Texas, notes the insider. "They had the perfect marriage -- he was totally handsome and so much in love with her. But Amy told us she broke it off because she was bored!"
On a recent night at the Manhattan club LQ, according to an eyewitness, "Kwame juggled three girls over a couple of hours, dancing and rubbing up against two of them separately -- and exchanging phone numbers with a third." Jackson even had eyes for Donald Trump's girlfriend Melania Knauss, says the insider. "He was always staring at Melania in her lowcut dresses, and once said, 'She's the prettiest woman I've ever seen in my entire life.' More than once, someone on the show had to pull him aside and say, 'What are you trying to do, commit career suicide?'"
lynettefl
The Omarosa one is *very* interesting. I wonder why no one mentioned it in their post-show interviews.
Miss Alli
Wait, Kwame danced with THREE GIRLS on ONE NIGHT?

Scandale!

And he said Melania was pretty?

Unbelievable!

Stupid Star Magazine.
lynettefl
Yeah, the only interesting ones were Omarosa's and Ereka's, even though I knew about Ereka's already.
AlmondEyes
Guys - does anyone know what time TA's 2 hour finale starts next week? I'm assuming the first hour won't clash with Survivor. Because MB won't let the network do that to his minions (read: all of us) again, right? Say it ain't so!
Knick
I just saw Omarosa on Access Hollywood and she said, about being fired from the four jobs, that the interviewer should call the White House and they'd confirm the story is false.

I will bet you any money from my poker winnings that Omarosa was not "fired". She was likely reassigned or otherwise moved to a new workplace after irritating the hell out of her co-workers.

I can't speak for the U.S. federal government, but I am sure it is little different from a Provincial Public Service. It takes a special talent to be fired. People might be asked to retire, or resign, but firings are very rare. Omarosa was never fired. She was simply moved from Department to Department as she poisoned each successive workplace, allowing he to save face and ridding her Supervisor of a huge pain in the ass-o-rama.

[I]Edited because leaving the "L" out of "Public Service" is just dirty.
isabella19
Dateline NBC are doing a two hour special on The Apprentice next Friday 8-10pm EST. Should be interesting...
choco
It's actually a lot harder to fire people in real life. I only wish you could just point to them and say, "You're fired!". I've had to fire two people before, and it took weeks of preparation. We had to meet with lawyers before hand, gather hard evidence of misconduct, get statements form other employees, etc. Omaorosa is the typr of person who would not go quietly. She would file a wrongful dismissial suit, She would try to sabatoge the company, She would do anythingin her power to exact revenge.

Firing was the absolute last resort. Most likely, in real life, she would have been bought out, or shuffled to a different department. That's why hiring is such an key decision. Because once you have that person, you're likely stuck with them for the long haul.
DariaG
My SO fired someone from the federal government. It took several months. This was someone who'd quit showing up for work without calling in or anything months before and during that time had spent $8,000 on his government credit card on a Saturday night in Baltimore at a hotel (inquiries indicated he'd thrown a big party). So if someone is merely irritating the shit out of you to the point you go into a murderous rage, a federal government firing takes quite a bit more effort and documentation.

I have no doubt Assy was moved around to get her out of the way. I knew of one guy, also in my SO's office, who was inept with a bad personality but never actually committed a firing offense. They moved him into a cube in a noisy, high-traffic area (he's an attorney; attorneys get offices, even if they're tiny offices), and gave him no work. Literally, no work. A year later, they offered him a buy-out, and he took it. There's also an agency I won't identify where inept workers are sometimes transferred to not do any harm and job hunt. That agency has a disproportionately high number of layoffs and buy-outs when these things happen, and they somehow manage to keep the competent ones, so it's clear who really works and who's in the lane for the exit ramp. Everyone knows what's going on there.

Anyway, yeah, I'm convinced Assy was moved around until she was made miserable enough to quit on her own, or until someone had an opportunity to fire her without challenge. "I'm so very sorry, but our agency has to let x number of people go, and you're new here, Assy. We must keep the workers with seniority, after all."

On another note, the Star article indicates that Katty has dumped the fiance, or put him on hold (because she lacks the integrity to let him go while she plays around and wants the security of having him there). Why am I not surprised?

Based on the number of people that showed up in Portland, OR, I don't doubt the number was over 200,000 nationwide. It probably isn't possible to underestimate the lure of famewhoredom.

I might cut figure by 25-30k but not much more than that.

I'd apply for Survivor but I can't eat gross foods and I'd apply for The Apprentice but I'm too old. I mourn the loss of my ability to be a TV famewhore!

I just linked to this in the Assorama thread, but here's a story from Zap2it on TA.

Enjoy!

Apparently, Assorama is in her "place of forgiveness" b/c MB wrote her a cease and desist letter!

Jaded Cat maybe you're on to something... Burnett and the minions... listening? We have yet to see the "misfit" genre... too old but not old enough (i.e. 36-50)... cute but neither too cute nor too ugly that you warrant someone medically tinkering with your exterior... adventurous but neither enough to ruin your family by inane embarrassment nor enough to permanently interrupt your internally workings by eating the testicles of something still living.

I, too, will sit in mourning <sic>. :-)
goobaletta
If you're female there's always the next rendition of The Swan. They've got at least one woman over 40 participating. ;-D
isabella19
Didn't they talk about that accusation on Oprah? (I didn't watch it so can't be sure.) So when was the C&D issued?
Wrigley
Since Trump fired them, both women are weighing career options. "It changed my life," Omarosa says from her Washington, D.C., home. "It has given me a wonderful platform to talk about all of the wonderful things I am involved with. In spite of how I was portrayed, I now have a platform."

What she doesn't tell you is that her platform is surrounded by 4 walls, of the padded variety.
Tashanir
Also for the record, Ereka Vetrini, who is white, did not call Omarosa, who is black, a vile slur, according to NBC, Trump, Burnett and Ereka. Omarosa is not talking about it, since receiving a cease-and-desist letter from Burnett. Had it been said, Trump and Burnett maintain they would have aired it, adding there are always 28 cameras on contestants.

This makes no sense. It's also pretty shabby reporting on the website's part. If Burnett issued a cease and desist letter (and I'm assuming that the cease and desist instructed Omarosa not to discuss this allegation or make further allegations) then:

1. Why would Trump allow Omaorsa and Ereka to go on Oprah to discuss this particluar incident?

2. Why didn't any other newspapers or media sources pick this story up?

Also, if the point of the cease and desist was to prevent further public mentions of this allegation, then Ereka would have received one as well.

I think this is a rumor that the website picked up and ran with.
Miss Alli
Omarosa's still a great big liar. *yawn* It's getting so you can't even keep up.
Limber Bimbo
Is there any chance that Trump and Burnett intended Oprah to be Assorama's last chance to give even a partially honest account (or the chance to take enough rope to hang herself), and now that the show's almost over, they've got the time, inclination and most importantly the ammo to absolutely blow her out of the water?

*And no, the analogy of giving someone enough rope to hang themselves is not a racial slur. Just in case she's lurking.
BassetHound
It's sad, really. I enjoy snarking on these reality fame-whores, but Omarosa is just mentally ill, IMO.
