Amy, wherever she is currently, must be DYING to say something to the press over the past few weeks and can't. As much as many here have grown cold on her... how unfair is that? She's nothing but a target until she can talk, and likely by then (unless she goes this week) nobody will be listening anymore.

Amy has been talking quite a bit. She did a spread in this month's Cosmo magazine (go back about 10 pages in the Media Articles thread to see her quotes--pretty horrifying) , was interviewed for this week's USWeekly and did FHM and a few other newspapers whose artucles were picked up an run nationally.
Miss Alli
For those of you who have already been heard on the Omarosa/Ereka thing twenty or thirty times (literally), it's time to get off it. This is taking over the boards right now, and it needs to not do that.

If you've said your piece, ease up.
Meghan Jill
You know, I was kinda sorry earlier today that I was going to miss the Apprentices on Oprah. Boy, have I changed my mind. Sounds like they just would have had me pulling my hair out. Again.

If she makes a fool out of Assy, she hears from all the African American organizations, all the "strong, black women", etc and Assy just turns around and says Oprah's jealous of her, blah, blah, blah.

Nah, I respectfully disagree with you there. Omarosa has made many, many, many public appearences, and has been cited or quoted in many, many, many articles, and I have yet to hear of any African-American group aligning with her on any topic. What poison would it be to choose Omarosa over Oprah Winfrey?!

Getting back to the Post article...I don't really think that article was supposed to be about the Apprentice specifically. The guy seemed like a columnist, a Dave Barry type that was writing about his unique New York experiences. The Apprentice just happened to be a part of that.

Kromm, am I sensing sympathy in your words? I, personally, have no sympathy. She got herself into this, and acting like a freak in Atlantic City really ruined her, in addition to being saccharine to others and then bashing them to the cameras.

Maybe it's just that women don't come across as well on TV in competitive environments, but I really found it hard to like any of them for more than a few episodes (and some even less than that). But I liked several of the men right up until they were fired.

I'm a woman, by the way. I hope that keeps me from getting flamed.
Raggie
I just finished watching Inside Edition earlier, and they showed the photo shoot with Amy, Ereka, Katrina and Krista. It was for the other magazine, not Playboy (FHM?). They were dressed in slinky underwear, etc. At the end they showed George commenting that anyone who poses for this type of magazine will not advance far within the Trump organization....Obviously Amy does not win if shes doing this.
Natalita
Raggie, there is a link to that FHM article about 5 pages back or so.

On the Amy issue. Yes, she has had interviews, but she's had no TV or radio appearances yet. So its not like she can directly address Katrina's allegations. Doing a story on Cosmo, or being featuredon Austin monthly, is more of a general feature on her, and of her experinces before the show. They are get-to-know-articles. She is not adressing any specifics from the show or other's allegations. Ditto for the underwear spread.

I suspect though, that this recent wave of Amy articles might mean that she's getting the boot next. Could it be that the magazines will be on print the week Amy is all over the media because she get fired and is therefore free to appear on TV? This blurs into speculation, I know.
Quite Nutty

I would agree, but I think it has more to do with the casting. I think other women would make us feel differently.

Some of the women on the show, though, I've hated MORE once they've been fired (Katrina comes to mind immediately), so we'll see what happens when Amy can say her piece.
A Big Potato
Hello.

Does anyone know if there's a decent recap or transcript up yet? Or where to look for one?
Maire
Now I really don't like Omararosa becasue she is a shit-stirrer (Why bring up that Ereka was unemployed?).But she came off as bat-shit crazy today on Oprah.
Jaded Cat
Ereka called Omarosa a liar for her statements accusing her of using the n-word; but you know she was lying about calling her that because she simply evaded the issue, and tried to distract us from the truth.

No, I don't KNOW Ereka was lying and I don't believe she was. I do believe Ohmyheadhurts would say anything to the media to keep her name before the public.
JulesP
I laughed my butt off when they were showing audience reaction to Osama's yapping right before going to commercial and one woman was clapping, and the woman to the left of her was sitting there like a statue, mouth agape. Word, Agape Lady.
This cracked me up, too. If looks could kill, Omarosa would have been in serious trouble.

As crazy as I think Omarosa is, she definitely kept her cool during Oprah even though she was annoying because she continually talked over everyone else. It's almost more infuriating to have someone smugly and snidely state their case when you think that what they're saying is utter horseshit. I also hated how she kept saying that she wanted to move on, implying that the "N word incident" should just be dropped. Yeah, it's easy for her to say that because she isn't the one being accused of saying something racist.

Plus, when Trump and Oprah asked Omarosa what word was worse than the N word, she said she didn't know. Yet, two seconds before that, she said she was called worse things than the N word by the other girls. Bat shit crazy is too complimentary of a term for her.
deadpanwalking
This is the first and last post I’ll make about the Oprah show. First, Assy claimed that she was called the N-word and worse by her suite mates. Upon being asked by Trump what could possibly be worse than the N-word, Assy does some shuffling and finally says that she could not even use her imagination to think that low (or something equally stupid). Interesting, in that one would not have to use one's imagination if they had actually heard such words for themselves.

And "bitch" = "n-word"? Please. The word bitch does not come from a place of extreme hate (as Assy would have us believe), it comes from the fact that if it talks like a bitch and walks like a bitch, then the chances are really good that its a BITCH.

I don’t think Assy came off well at all on Oprah, and the audience eventually (slowly but surely) called bullshit as well. It’s funny how it seems exactly two people (out of like 500 give or take) from every audience on every show where Assy has been a guest will applaud for her. Perhaps it's the same two that she was seen with backstage on Oprah? Her only two friends in the world?

CydW:  I haven't watched The Apprentice since the first episode.

Sacrilege!!!!
CydW
Bwah! We'll take it up tomorrow, fangums. :)

Has anyone heard whether or not Nick and Amy will be on The Early Show tomorrow morning (Friday)? I'm off work tomorrow, and it will be the first opportunity I've had yet to hear from the newly fired apprentices the morning after. Damn living-earning!
Marlh
I saw the FHM and all I can say is I wish I had thought of wearing lingerie and taking pictures for my last resume. It would have been so much better than selling myself on my skills and intellectual capabilities which have something to do with the job I was applying for. Wow, maybe I should apply for Apprentice 2 so that I can pretend that I really want a job but in fact I could be setting myself up to never get a job again - unless it's as a hooker. I'd feel really confident going into an interview knowing that my potential boss has seen me in my bra and underwear.

NBC just ran a promo - both Nick & Amy will be on The Today Show tomorrow morning.
Bubbacat
Thanks, dcgal. I had my networks confused. It's probably Lex that will be on The Early Show (yeah, I watched Survivor tonight, too).

Ereka upset with Oprah. Omarosa's publicist fires her.
kattam6175

I suppose it's presumptuous of me, but I still think there would be some type of backlash from the African-American community if someone as powerful and respected as Oprah totally trashed Assy. The same way there would have been backlash if Oprah had gone on air and said she thought O.J. was guilty. She can imply that she thinks Assy's full of it and that O.J. did it, but I don't think she can attack them publicly or come right out and say it.

Regardless, I don't think any respectable interviewer can trash someone publicly for fear of never booking a controversial figure again. If a person thinks they'll be attacked, they'll simply refuse to do your show and that's bad for ratings.
SusanahDean
Remember when Katrina and Amy were talking about how they didn't need thier sex appeal to get ahead? Bwahahaha! That FHM spread is by far the most rediculous fallout. The men competed to get a job. The women competed to get attention.
BibiBella
Just heard a blurb on Leno that 'the newest fired Apprentices" will be on his show tomorrow night...wonder how short Amy's skirt will be for that appearance!
ottoDbusdriver
On Oprah's show today, I wish 'The Donald' had introduced Omarosa to Oprah in the following Letterman-esque way:

Oma ...... Oprah. Oprah ..... Oma.

Sure it didn't go over well on the Academy Awards telecast that Letterman hosted, but it would have been funny.
Kromm
Conan just had a GREAT Apprentice bit. He took footage of Condoleezza Rice testifying before congress today and intercut it with Trump's POV of a boardroom firing. Whichever person got the comment about neither being a good leader nor a good follower, although their shots were edited out and Rice's in.

BTW: If you are in the NY market, the Oprah rebroadcast in on NOW. This very moment. Channel 7.
SerendipityCA
For those who saw Oma on Oprah, what was your impression of Oprah's reaction to her?
Kromm
Hard to read. Scorn and tolerance at different points. The audience obviously favored Ereka, then again, they also applauded wildly when Assy made sweeping statements like "I have moved on" and "I was portayed as the Angry Black Woman".

One thing I just noticed. Another contradiction. Assy declares that she loves all four people who are left, and names Amy by name. Since when does she "love" Amy?
choco
Oprah stared at Assy like the freak she is. It's not every day, you sit across from a stone-cold sociopath. Actually both Trump and Oprah looked afraid. Very. Afraid.
Kromm
Trump tried to indict HEIDI for suddenly playing nice with Oma? Weird. But maybe another indication that he notices more than he sometimes lets on. Then again, he turned around then and complimented the psycho on "defusing things". And that just sounded SO like he was desperately reaching for a compliment.
Girlysogroovy
For those who saw Oma on Oprah, what was your impression of Oprah's reaction to her?

Oprah's is a mediator not a confrontator. It would be out of character for her to directly address any Omarosa-isms. If Ereka, Heidi or Trump weren't going to be assertive in getting to the truth, why would she? Of course, I would have loved her to death if she had!

Oprah's decision to put Oma on the stage with Trump and herself just fed into O's ego and delusions. Big mistake on her part.

By the way, on Oprah After the Show, there is a video clip with Donald, Sam, Kristi and Jessie.
archer1267
It's unfortunate that the Oprah gathering occurred before last night's show was aired. Even Omarosa's defenders can't blame "bad editing" or "threatened by a strong black woman" for that. The episode showed a *definite* credibility issue as far as Omarosa is concerned.
Tashanir
On the Today Show this morning, Amy expressed regret over doing the FHM shoot, saying it wasn't a wise decision.
Words
I got a kick out of the fact that at the beginning of her program, Oprah continually mispronounced Assorama's name. She kept calling her "Omaroso" and The Donald just sat there and didn't correct her. She did it at least four times. Oprah is usually so careful about names, so you have to wonder....
cdredhead
Oh, my...apparently she's been evil for a while...

Omarosa Fired From Four Jobs in Two Years

Best line... "One woman wanted to slug her."
Kromm
She kept calling her "Omaroso" and The Donald just sat there and didn't correct her

I heard "Ah-mah-rowe-sah". And that wasn't far from TD's pronunciation either.
Wrigley
cdredhead, it appears that the story is being picked up by tv news outlets as well . . . others have mentioned it in various forums, and it was just on in Chicago. The blurb I saw started out about Bill and how the local boy might win the big prize. It goes on to the Omorosa bit as a voice over while showing various video clips. What I found most telling was the comment the anchor made afterward, something to the effect of "which begs the question, why was Omarosa rehired 3 times?" Why indeed?
kattam6175
I caught Nick & Amy on Today. They both looked good and got along really well. Amy was dressed pretty conservatively in a powder blue suit with knee-length skirt. Nick was in his usual dark suit. You can tell they really like & respect each other. I thought Nick was adorable (of course!).

Amy said she thought her firing came down to the fact that she just wouldn't fit into a conversative environment like the Trump organization. She also said they had no idea they'd be doing interviews, so they hadn't done as much research as she would normally have done. I found that to be a pretty lame excuse. She should have researched her ass off before the show. The concept of the show was that it's a 13-week interview, so she should have been prepared since Day 1.

Nick said he was surprised the interviews were so brutal and was also surprised that he was fired for not being a good leader since he was 3-0 as PM. He agreed that he made a mistake by going into the interviews as an aggressive salesman and should have toned it down.

They asked who he thought would win and he said both Kwame & Bill have a lot to offer, but have 2 totally different personalities. Therefore, he agreed with Amy that it will come down to whoever TD thinks would be the best fit for the organization.

Matt asked about their relationship and how they would classify it: a romance or showmance. Amy said showmance. Nick said they liked each other, worked well together and had a sort of alliance (not in those words, but that was the gist). He confirmed that they dated briefly once the show was over, but they're just friends now.

Amy was asked about Bill and she laughed off the rumors that it was anything more than a friendship. She said something to the effect that, as a celebrity, Matt must know what it's like to have false rumors floating around about him.

I thought they both came off very well and likeable. Amy definitely toned down her self-aggrandizing and Nick definitely toned down his ego.
Vermicious Knid
I caught part of Regis & Kelly and Kelly was flipping out over Oma lying. She was amazed somebody would do that while knowing she was being filmed. They brought up the possibility it was orchestrated by the producers. Then they showed a picture of the FHM spread and Kelly said "It's the Apprentices, and their eight apprentices, if you know what I mean." She gets a hee for that.
archer1267
They brought up the possibility it was orchestrated by the producers.

Great, the more media people say that, the more Omarosa's going to use it as her alibi. "The producers told me to do it!" Just as she said she was summoned back to the boardroom for a private discussion with Trump, that Ereka called her the n-word, that she was physically attacked, that she had a serious head injury. Why give this woman further grist for her "I'm a victim" routine?
isabella19
It appears from this article that Asso has two cats: Beaty Queen and Prince Charming. I don't know why this bothers me more than the sociopathic stuff and the lying. But it does!
MSat
Amy expressed regret over doing the FHM shoot, saying it wasn't a wise decision.

I saw the spread, and it was totally obvious in the pictures that she was uncomfortable with it. Out of all the ladies, her pictures were the least "sexy." And she was the only one of the woen who didn't answer the question "what is your best asset." Or, at least they didn't publish her answer. I can just imagine her looking at the interviewer with a "WTF?" experssion! Anyway, if she wasn't comfortable with posig for it, and was doing it strictly for the money, than yes, that was an unwise decision. I have to say,I thought Katrina's spread was gorgeous.
DariaG
The USA Today panel of 12 was asked who they thought Trump should hire from the entire pack. Bill got 5 votes, Kwame 4, Troy 2, and Amy 1. Amy's was from the Yale B-school dean, so there's no job in that. Troy's were from the Ameritrade CEO (good!) and an Avon VP (it's a predominantly female company from top to bottom, but I could see him fitting in). Most of the others said that Troy had the most potential but needed some polish; several said they thought Trump should hire him at a lower level and groom him to work his way up. I totally agree with that. The comedian/businessman picked Kwame because he, too, went to Harvard B-school and "that's what we do."
FeverDog
I really like the way the Apprentice finale/lead-up is formatted. This way the Final Four all get equal media time. I remember complaints after each Survivor when the 3rd and 4th place finisher don't receive much time or talk on the morning talk shows because all 4 of them are there (winner already announced). It never made sense to me, becasue the 5th and 6th place finishers would get so much more attention, comparatively.

So... nice format, Apprentice! I like being able to watch Amy and Nick all over the place for a week, then I can watch Kwame and Bill next week.
archer1267
It appears from this article that Asso has two cats: Beaty Queen and Prince Charming. I don't know why this bothers me more than the sociopathic stuff and the lying. But it does!

If Omarosa rescued those cats from an animal shelter, I'm willing to overlook it...the names are gross but not surprising. This woman, after all, has created a perfect fairytale for herself (Cinderella rises from the projects and Goodwill clothing to become the sought-after, powerful belle of the ball, wrongly mistreated by her evil stepsisters).

Anyway, if she wasn't comfortable with posig for it, and was doing it strictly for the money, than yes, that was an unwise decision.

But she didn't get any $ from it. None of them did. I think she regretted it afterwards. Who knows, maybe she got swept into the whole "hey, this will be fun! We'll never get a chance to do this again!" attitude in the beginning and didn't think of the consequences.

Re: the FHM spread:
I have to say,I thought Katrina's spread was gorgeous.

Definitely. She looked much better there than she ever did on the show. On the other hand, Kristi looked much worse; very awkward and mannish in her solo pose.

Between the things Trump's advisors said about her last night and the FHM spread, Amy's going to have a lot of negatives to explain away the next time she looks for a new job.
Grace_Dimitri_fan
I disagree. FHM spread, big deal. How did the advisors justify her firing? She annoyed them? Funny, but the people who worked with her week after week on the show all liked her (until Katrina had her jealous fit) and kept choosing her for their team. Even Omarosa liked her. I would hire Amy in a second and then congratulate myself for stealing her away from everyone else. To me she was the strongest competitor, then Troy, but Troy walked the gray line sometimes, whereas Nick, despite his faults, stood by his ethics and I admire than tremendously. Now if he could tame that petulant stubborness of his, we might have something. Kwame I'd hire for public relations and I would not hire Bill.
Wrigley
If Omarosa rescued those cats from an animal shelter, I'm willing to overlook it...

I'm with you archer1267. And yet, the cats are "Japanese Miniatures" or some such . . . probably not found at the SPCA, but who's to say.

Jaded Cat
I think the cats Omaheadhurts has are Singapuras.

http://www.singapuracatclub.co.uk/

Not Japanese mini cats and very expensive. The fact that she might have some is frightening to me because they are fragile. There is a lot of work going on with responsible breeders to improve the breed but it's not perfected yet.

Obviously no ordinary pound kitties for the pageant queen. Bleh!
RainIsBeautiful
I just saw the Oprah After The Show clip, and really? Sam's still a psycho...

I'm like an extra credit question on a test.  Most people don't get it, but when they do, they score big.

Weird, weird, weird.

Today the Associated Press is all ablaze with the news that Assorama was fired four times from the Clinton Administration.

Funny how that news coincides with last night's episode which clearly shows Assy to be a liar and a liability on her team. I hope Trump had a hand in suppressing that tidbit for juuuuuust the right time...
