Meghan, the second comment is interesting--Ashley is apparently now going to Howard--Assorama's alma mater. I wonder if she's in the Communications Department, too?
Tashanir
So...not only is Trump hostong SNL tonight...the NBC site says that NOW the show will have "surprise guests." Caroyn? George? Sam? Or maybe....

Two words....

OMA. ROSA.

Man, I'd love to see them do a spoof on the boardroom with all of The Real Apprentices. Voice overs of their thoughts, fighting, hair-pulling.

Weee...I'm giddy. Is it 11:30pm yet?
Wrigley
Good point, BibiBella. New show or not, I wish Jessie would get a stylist for her TV appearances, as I think it would help her be taken more seriously. (Especially if she's really starting a clothing line.)
goobaletta
From ‘Today’ to ‘Tonight,’ Troy loves being fired. Apparently he's even getting movie offers. Oooh, the girls must be so jealous! Especially Katty. Ha!

A couple of articles on the Oregon auditions for TA2:
The Oregonian; and one from AP via the Statesman Journal.

A review for TD's latest book.

Another business owner with a TM dispute with Trump over "You're fired!"
Flying Penguin
The first article goobaletta linked to says that the Apprentice-themed Oprah on Tuesday is new.
BibiBella
Flying Penguin, Oprah's website has the "Apprentice" and Donald Trump show as listed for THURSDAY, not Tuesday.

And the linked article about Troy doesn't say anything (that I could find) about the Oprah show being new, just that
I´ve got a photo shoot tomorrow, and Oprah is talking about having me on the show on Tuesday …”
(from Troy in the article).

So I'm guessing that Troy is wrong about the date...although it might be that they're taping Oprah on Tuesday and it airs on Thursday. She typically tapes her shows a few days before they air. So I'm betting this is what the situation is.

Actually, according to the radio station, Ereka was booked as a backup because Dramarosa was making their lives so difficult with her ever-changing demands, they weren't sure if she'd even show up (and if I remember, she didn't arrive in town until 8:30 that morning; kinda late to drive up from the airport to start the morning radio gig).

Her flight got in at 7:20. They played the call between Sam and Asso the next day, then replayed it during the 9 a.m. hour and I couldn't even listen to the replay. She is so insane! The traffic was too bad to make it in; Sam wasn't on her side, but "that's okay"; you've seen all my offers; and -- my personal favorite -- "I left the luxury of the suite TV Guide set up for me for a week to come down here". Bleh.
Tashanir
Ereka was booked as a backup because Dramarosa was making their lives so difficult with her ever-changing demands, they

Heh...wonder how Eshreka liked being Omarosa's understudy. I sort of have a feeling that Ereka wasn't booked as a fill-in at all. Are you telling me they called Ereka at 4am and said "Okay, we need you to fill in. Can you ne here by 6am?" I find it very odd that Ereka just "happened" to be in Atlanta at the same time that Sam and Omarosa planned to be there. It could have been a press junket, of course, and a group of them were down there......but I'm not buying the "we used her as a fill-in" hooey. That was planned and everyone involved knew it--except for Omarosa. They had Ereka in studio for a reason...and that was to sandbag Omarosa. Or to be present if Omarosa called in. And Ereka, the attention whore that she is, grabbed any and all opportunity to be in the spotlight.

The schtick surrounding it, btw, was an April Fool's thing where the regular DJ's had been fired and were replaced by the Apprentices. According to the station, Asso demanded to be paid twice as much as Sam. She changed her flight repeatedly and late 2 days before informed them that she probably wouldn't be able to make it in until well into the show. At that point (one day before) they called Ereka, who was happy enough to fly in and do it. I don't doubt that's how it went down -- them figuring if she didn't show they were covered, and if she did they had some nice fireworks going on. LOL!

As with all things Asso, it wasn't unreasonble to be ticked about it but the way she approaches it, the diva attitude, and the insane things she spouts just make you wanna discount what little shred of "reaonsable" there might be.
Neko
Are you telling me they called Ereka at 4am and said "Okay, we need you to fill in. Can you ne here by 6am?"

Nope, I'm just telling you what the article said:

. . .divalike Manigault-Stallworth gave producer Jake Ray such a hard time, Ray booked contestant Ereka Vetrini as a backup. ("I had to change Omarosa's flight seven times, and then she couldn't make it until 8:30 a.m. the day of the show," Ray said.)

I imagine somewhere around the 3rd or 4th flight change, they started making alternate arrangements. I certainly would have (actually, I probably would have told her to go screw a goat, but that's just me). Probably when they started thinking of another female to bring in, the idea of bringing Ereka and Omarosa together had great appeal (you know, in that car wreck kinda way). Or maybe Heidi wasn't available (hard to believe; I thought she and Sam had become BFFs, sharing hotel rooms and everything). I'm sure Ereka arrived on the 31st (or earlier, if she wanted to see the pollen-covered sights).

Now if they had called Katrina at 4am and said "Okay, we need you to fill in. Can you be here by 6am?" she would have said, "Hell yes!" Assuming, of course, she thought there would be a video feed and she could show off her assets in her Proenza Schouler (you know, 'cause he's her favorite designer).

eta: I just figured out why Dramarosa had to leave: the pollen aggravated her concussion. Not because she has allergies; the pollen in Atlanta right now is heavy enough to cause a head injury when it lands on you!)
goobaletta
(actually, I probably would have told her to go screw a goat, but that's just me)
No. I'd have said something along those lines to her as well, as would a lot of folks I have a feeling.

Apparently Moose Warnock and son like to party at the Playboy mansion....

Moose Interview
kattam6175
Richard Branson to emulate Donald Trump's "Apprentice" in new TV show

Woo hoo! TA meets TAR. I'll be there with bells on.

From Moose interview:
Perhaps the most unsettling aspect of the trip for Warnock was that he was wired for sound and was on camera the whole time.

"The only time they let me alone was when I went to the bathroom," he said. "So you couldn't say 'boo.'"
Yet more proof that Ereka couldn't have called Assy the "N" word without being recorded.

"I gave him all the advice he needs about women when he was 12," Warnock said. "Look her in the eye, stroke her forearm lightly, and tell her she's the most beautiful girl you've ever seen. They will immediately fall in love with you."
Yep, Nick's playing Amy all right.
Kromm
Anyone got Trump SNL predictions?

I'll give one. LOTS of Omarosa jokes.
Neko
SNL predictions? Lots of made-up Troyisms (getting more obscure and weird as they progress), crazy-eyed Sam (maybe even the real Sam), one or more interchangeable bimboes dressed in a ho-like (tm ANTM) fashion, and people getting hit on the head by falling objects throughout the entire show.

And, of course, The Hair. Now wouldn't that be great for the monologue: A big production number featuring The Donald singing "Hair"?
Kromm
We may get to see the word "yooge" mocked by the guy who dresses up like Trump on the show. Oh wait... that's Trump himself this week. Also, since they've mentioned it on a previous episode, maybe the tacky apartment gets mocked.
goobaletta
Hooray! Carolyn got to say, "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!" Go Carolyn!!!
Bigwheels1971
carolyn and george were on! She made a double entendre. My day's complete!
BoDiva
Caroline is a goddess!

George: "It's only going to get harder."

Caroline: "That's what SHE said."

Trump: "WHAT!"

Caroline: "Live from NY, it's Saturday night!"

She looked like she had a blast.
JoBu
Yay! Carolyn and George also on SNL. And Carolyn gets to act her age and do a "that's what she said" in response to "it's only going to get harder."
Kromm
It was a lame joke to stick her with so I suppose the "Live from" was compensation to get her to say it. I would say now her kids will think she's cool, but by definition nobody on SNL is ever cool--at least since Eddie Murphy.

The cab of doom bit with Jimmy Fallon was okay, but it seems we also had to be punished with Lorne Michaels. Yuck.
Mama Tiger
Carolyn is FABULOUS! Have fun when you're having fun -- you go, girl!
Kromm
I called the yoooge jokes! I called the yoooge jokes! (Real Trump and fake Regis repeat the word "yoooge" to each other about 10 times).

Okay, I guess it was no great feat to guess there'd be "yoooge" jokes.

Haha! They are currently making a HUGE cut on Omarosa... as predicted. "You can't believe a word Omarosa says" is the punchline when a fake Star Jones talks to Trump about running into Assy at the Image awards and learning the winner.
SerendipityCA
Ugh. On Extra tonight (I think it was Extra, they all blur together), they were doing a story about "reality TV losers" - from American Idol, Survivor, the Bachelor, etc. The idea being, sometimes the also-rans hit it bigger than the winners. And when they got around to the Apprentice, some woman purporting to be an expert on such things opined that Omarosa is going to be the big breakout star of the firees, expect her to be a huge success, "she's talking about a book deal, and a TV show..." yeah well, she's also talking about the N-word and her concussion so....grain of salt time, I would HOPE!
kattam6175
TD, George and Carolyn have been great so far. TD: "You can't believe a word Omarosa says." Ha!

Troy's back. Wee!

TD's dancing. Hee! White boy's got some rhythm. Oh, and I think I love him. Who knew he could be so much fun?
BibiBella
Watching Trump is a hoot - mainly because he's so bad at reading the cue cards so that it doesn't look like he's reading cue cards! You can see his eyes stuck to the cue cards when he's supposed to be talking to a person...
Kromm
New "OMA-ROSA" commercial. But wait... now Troy is too? Huh?

Oh man, look at Trump in a cream colored cowboy suit. Eww. Isn't this some lame continuation of some horrible unfunny skit SNL ran months ago without Trump? Although his lame white man dancing is the one funny part, I'll admit. Even he can hardly keep from laughing.
goobaletta
OMG. Trump's House of Wings. Loved it up until David Crosby showed up. JTS time for that skit.
BibiBella
Kromm, my TV showed Trump's suit to be yellow - like the chicks. Whatever it was, the funniest part was watching him do the lame white man dance - oh my god, that was too funny! Just watching his facial expressions was a hoot (and was it just me, or did it look like Trump had packed a bit extra down below?!).
RhondaGC
New "OMA-ROSA" commercial. But wait... now Troy is too? Huh?

Yep. I actually screamed when I saw it. One, because it was a surprise. And two, because I lurrves me some Troy and I wasn't ready for it to be over yet.

Some speculating going on the Spoiler thread already as to what it means if anyone is interested.
Earthmover
I am totally loving how they pronounced Omarosa's name as Ah-marosa, rather than with an O. The funniest part is that it's probably unscripted, and just shows how little they care about Omarosa.
jcpdiesel21
Ha ha ha, Maya Rudolph was Omarosa during Weekend Update and they dropped a ton of stuff on her head! Hee!
goobaletta
Somebody toss me a bucket coz I'm laughing so hard I'm peeing! BWAH!!!!!!!! I wonder if they let TD toss some of that stuff on "Omarosa's" haidbone? Hee!
kattam6175
OMG. That was the BEST thing I've ever seen on tv. When that yooge piece of drywall fell on faux Omarosa's head, I had just put a spoonful of cereal in my mouth. It took everything I had in me not to spit it all over the room. Thank you, SNL!!
gymtastic
Ohmigod, can't breathe. It would have been even funnier if they looked up and TD, George and Carolyn were throwing the stuff.
RhondaGC
That was jawsome! I had almost turned off the TV to go to bed, because frankly I hadn't been impressed up to that point. Sure glad I kept it on!

I was wondering when they were going to skewer Omarosa! They got her but good.

"I am a strong, African-American woman" *Plaster falls on head* "Ahhhhh! Ooohhh! I'm dying, I'm dying." Hee hee hee hee hee!

Also loved it earlier in the really bad Star Jones section when Donald said to "her", "You can't trust anything Omarosa says." Heh. Wonder if MB paid him to add that line?
JoBu
Gawd, I would love to see Omarosa being interviewed about Fauxmarosa. That was frickin' funny.
AlmondEyes
Goobaletta, wasn't that House of Wings skit hilarious??? Those dancers were a scream! I love how Trump is totally willing to laugh at his tacky Versailles-esq decor, horrible hair and his overuse of superlatives to describe everything. And I loved the sleazestache in the janitor skit.

"I'm building a new Trump tower - on top of the original Trump tower." Hee hee!! I can so hear him saying that.

I loved Carolyn and George in the beginning! She looked like she had a great time saying that dirty line.

Not so much liking the Ohmydrama spoof. Like most SNL skits, it started out funny but just went way too long.

But damn, I haven't laughed this hard watching SNL in a long time. The Donald should host more often.
Ty
Fauxmarosa being hit over the head by not one, but two dictionaries killed me! Hilarious.

The image of DT dancing with his white man's overbite will forever linger in my mind.
kattam6175
I'd love to see hidden camera footage of Assy watching that skit. She's gonna be madder than a wet hen. She was lookin' up the ass of a dead dog with fleas if she thought they'd let her get away with trying to make them look bad.
Wrigley
It would have been even funnier if they looked up and TD, George and Carolyn were throwing the stuff.

I kept expecting to see that, or faux versions of the other candidates. Plenty funny without it though! Between Carolyn, Trump's House of Wings, and this, I'm happier than a pup with two peters.
priscillarw
Sweet crap, the skit with everything under the sun being dropped on Assorama's (were you expecting her to use that name? I was!) head had me doubled over laughing. Oh. My. Goodness! Maya Rudolph's "Call me by my full name, Omarosa Mangi...-whatever, Tina Fey" was frickin' high-larious!!! I'm gonna have to go watch that again! The small piece of plaster...the YOOGE piece of plaster...a bowling ball...the dictionaries...then (the best) a FAX MACHINE!! BWAH!!!! Too funny!

The Don doing the "white man's chicken dance" was funny too. It's good to see that he doesn't take himself too seriously.
rose99
Mayas entrance as the Assoroma Queen with the wave was perfect..I wonder if she had a hard hat underneath that wig...I am sure that stuff was foam or something lightweight..but I wondered if it would start to hurt.
goobaletta
Kudos to TD to keeping his composure during that father/son travesty of a skit. Somebody slap Jimmy Fallon!
rose99
I predict the talk next week will be him doing the chicken dance.
goobaletta
I'm...dyin'....OMG. Trump and the Viceroys in a garage band! Choking. Laughter. OH GOD NO. Not Katty as lead singer. I am imagining more delusional interviews now. "They used me in that sketch coz I'm the sexy one and lead singers are always sexy."
rose99
After all is said and done, Trump was willing to sing, dance and mock his excesses... Kudos to Trump.

He should show up again next week :-)

George and Carolyn should have been in some more skits!
AlmondEyes
I am imagining more delusional interviews now. "They used me in that sketch coz I'm the sexy one and lead singers are always sexy."

Goobaletta, don't you mean Kattyrina would talk about how they casted her? Heh.
Mmm... Free Goo
Yooge-ly hilarious. From now on, every time I hear "Jump" i'll start singing "Trump In!"

Omarosa was classic. Hee.

Wow, I didn't know that was really George and Carolyn. I recognized her, but he's seriously lost some hair since the last time we've seen him.

I also liked the opening boardroom sketch, with Jimmy Fallon getting fired and leaving with his wheelie backpack.

Finesse Mitchell: "You can't fire me! You've only got four black people on your network: Me, Kenan, Kwame, and Whoopi."
SerendipityCA
Donald Trump apparently went to the William Hung School of Dance.
