Makes me realize how classy Kristie, Bowie, and even Jessie were in their exits.

And let's not forget ole Sam. It makes me realize that Sam was a really good sport and a class act. He was basically ridiculed by all the men on the show, but he's been very gracious and quite humorous in defeat. He even had some very kind words to say about Omarosa of all people! He found her "very charming" and still keeps in touch with her:

Sam's Last Words

And notice Katrina loves the guys. Notice that? Argh. She isn't bad-mouthing Troy as badly as Amy! Notice she warned the guys in her exit interview?

Word. Women are the most vicious to other women. Why is that???
Wrigley
Proenza Schouler is not a "he," it's two guys whose names are not even Proenza Schouler (a combination of their mothers' maiden names).

I would love to see this on a banner across Trump Tower.

If you're petty, goldenphoenix, then I am too. This is quality info.
goobaletta
Well this is the same eejit who says casted every chance she gets. (I loved what the TV Guide Online reporter did w/that btw!) The designer info is funny. I bet she never gets another outfit from those guys. Too bad!

And spice, I'm glad you mentioned Sam. Who'd have thunk we'd be missing him so much now? Well, I am anyhow.
erinjsnark
I've seen a documentary on the Proenza Schouler creators and it was very interesting. However I missed the Today show interview and can't seem to get the nbc.com video to download correctly... can anyone send me a link to a pic of the outfit she was wearing? Everyone's making such a stink about it and I have no idea what it looked like (well, I can imagine...).
TessieCee
I certainly don't expect everyone to know that, but if you're going to go on record and act like you're so in tune to what's hot/trendy/cool etc., you should at least get your facts straight.

Word-o-rama. I contend there is no way even to be aware of Proenza Schouler without knowing who they are. (I didn't, and I googled.)
jjohnson78
Katrina: I was wearing Proenza Schouler, actually. He's one of the hottest designers in New York City; people would die to wear his clothes.

Well, Katrina sweetie, maybe you and Assorama should approach them and see if they would market women's suits where one shoulder pad is larger than the other - it would help both of you hide the "yooge" chips you sport.

Seriously, what a bitch. And even though I'm not fond of Amy particularly, kudos to her for the non-spiteful response to Katrina's unbelievably petty remarks.
goldenphoenix
Well Wrigley, Katrina's response to the clothing question really bugged me because the guys behind Proenza Schouler just started out a few seasons ago, and normal people outside of the fashion industry wouldn't necessarily know who they are. So her comment of
Ask any woman on the street if they're given an outfit from Proenza Schouler, are they going to say no to it? Are you kidding me?

was so obvious. The average woman on the street would answer, "Who's Proenza Schouler?" to which Katrina would respond with mock astonishment, "What? You don't know who he is?" and think to herself, "I'm so cool!"

Ugh. She's actually making me transfer some of my hate for Omarosa onto her, and I didn't think that was possible.
kattam6175

Looks like Katrina and her fat mouth have really done it this time:

This couldn't be an actual spoiler. I mean, it could be true purely by coincidence, but Donald Trump doesn't pick the winner until the finale on April 15th or whenever it is.

Plus, can any of the current "fire-ees" really know who goes next? I mean, they're not there... do they talk freely after being fired? I mean, how would they know for sure who goes next? Just from chatting amongst themselves?
miaK
Yeah, it could be a red herring, especially considering the original source. I still stand by the slag on Katrina's fat mouth though.

ETA: Rats! Must have read through a batch of postings so fast that I missed the original discussion on this. It was a wardrobe malfunction! Sorry.

Oh, quite right. That's a given.

I think this was de-bunked in the Media Articles thread, as well as by Katrina herself. She states that this is not a true story, and that the PR person from the nightclub in question made it up to get press and was subsequently fired.

While I'm not sure about the "PR person" part of the story, I don't think that Katrina would have commented about the winner. Mainly because the winner simply hasn't been decided yet, so how could she (or anyone else) truly know?
Tashanir

After each firing, the fired apprentice is sent to a hotel where all of the other fired apprentices are being sequestered. Many of them have spoken in post show interviews about how they went on trips and attended seminars togetehr durign their time sequestered.

So it's likely Katrina knows exactly who was fired after her since she would have seen them at the hotel.
erinjsnark
So it's likely Katrina knows exactly who was fired after her since she would have seen them at the hotel.

Yes. But I'd bet my mother that's all she knows. Plus, that article has indeed already been proven false.
AlmondEyes
Can someone slap a muzzle on this chick?? I mean, what is wrong with her?? I'm sure Katrina thought she sounded all profound with her distinction between FHM and Playboy. She must be the absolutely least self-aware reality show famewhore I've ever seen. Why do I care that Amy allegedly slept with two cast members? How is that anyone's business?

Katty's jealous that no one tried to hook up with her, and she's pissed that Amy got the boys' attention. It should be all about Katrina, guys, doncha know that? She's one of those girls, cuz I can't put her in the category of women, who hates when another girl in the room takes the spotlight away from her. She implodes spectacularly on national television, then goes around making stupid excuses about not wanting to be manipulative and conniving. No, we've never seen that from you, Katty. Not at all.

If the thought of a gazillion dollar fine for violating confidentiality issues doesn't give her incentive to keep her trap shut, well, I guess nothing will. Maybe her yooooge success in real estate will enable her to pay it.

And again, Katty, with the talk of being "casted?" Sigh . . . yes, your 4.0 GPA in Int'l Finance and 200 IQ are on display for the world to see. I'm so jealous.

All it does is reinforce what I always thought - she's a bitch. And a stupid one, at that.
Tashanir
Yes. But I'd bet my mother that's all she knows. Plus, that article has indeed already been proven false

The snippet about her in bar saying the winner's name has been proven false. Her TVGuide/Today Show appearances where she says that she wants Nick to win, the women were fired, etc. have not been proven false. At the very least, she probably knows which of the final five are in the final running for the job and which of the final five aren't.
HeavenLy
I thought the TV Guide interview was pretty funny. I liked how they made fun of her choice of "casted." Apparently grammar isn't important in the international finance world of real estate.
portergirl99
All it does is reinforce what I always thought - she's a bitch. And a stupid one, at that.

AlmondEyes I've worked with quite a few women like Katrina. My motto has always been "You can be stupid or you can be a bitch, but you can't be both. Choose."
TessieCee
After each firing, the fired apprentice is sent to a hotel where all of the other fired apprentices are being sequestered. Many of them have spoken in post show interviews about how they went on trips and attended seminars togetehr durign their time sequestered.

Why would they not still be sequestered?
MaryWebGirl
I love how the TVGuide interviewer tried really hard to get Katrina to squirm, but she was too stupid to know that she had something to squirm about.

TessieCee, the final two were sent home at the same time as all the firees so they'd all return to their normal lives simultaneously. Unless they talk, there'd be no way to figure out who was fired when.
RhondaGC
Why would they not still be sequestered?

Tessie--I assume you are referring to why they aren't still sequestered now. The show was filmed last Fall, and having them cooped up together, away from family, friends, gainful employment, etc. for that long would obviously unrealistic.

So after they are narrowed down the final two, they are all sent home to resume their normal lives (as much as possible) and will all come back to NY for the live finale. To keep them from talking until that time, they all sign confidentiality agreements, and TD has apparently threatened them with a $5 million fine if they blab.
TessieCee
So after they are narrowed down the final two, they are all sent home to resume their normal lives

They were narrowed down to the final two long before the show even aired, right? So they've all been out and about the entire time the show has been running, even though it seems we only hear from them after they're fired from the show? Is that part of the contract? No media interviews until after they're fired on TV? But we've already seen a quote from Amy ...
RhondaGC
Tessie, in short, "yes" to all of the above.

Yes, they have known who the final two are since last Fall. And yes, each contestant is flown into NYC to do the first "post-firing" interview on Today on the Friday after his/her "firing" is shown. After that, as I understand it, they are free to do other interviews (and there may be others contractually required, I don't know). (It seems to me that suddenly having to take a quick trip to NYC on a Friday might be a major give-away to family and friends, but maybe they do it in the guise of something else.)

As far as the interviews before they are fired goes, it certainly doesn't happen a lot, but as you noted, Amy has put out a statement refuting certainly claims by Katrina, and I personally read an interview with Troy in USA Today a few weeks ago (and I think there have been others). So I'm not sure what the rules are for that.
Rabrab
That's exactly it, Tessie. We're not seeing the show live, even though the voice-overs and promos give that impression. And they're prohibited by contract from letting anyone even know that they're even on the show until the cast is officially announced (two months ago,), as well as from giving any media interviews until the episode they're fired on has aired. At that point, there's a whole round of appearances that TPTB has lined up: Today, Leno, I think Howard Stern, but they have to do those interviews as though they had actually been fired the night before. They aren't supposed to talk about anything that happened after they were fired, because the conceit is that it hasn't happened yet. Make sense?

Amy was probably allowed to respond because it was limited to allegations Katrina made in that interview, not on the show.
RhondaGC
True, rabrab. But I'm still wondering about the interviews that Troy has done. It's interesting because I don't recall having read (or read about) Nick, Kwame, Amy or Bill having given any interviews yet. Hmmm. . .
nowandlater
We're not seeing the show live, even though the voice-overs and promos give that impression .... they have to do those interviews as though they had actually been fired the night before.

They know that we know that it took place a long time ago. But to explain that every time on TV would just be too complicated -- and make it seem old. It's easier on the viewer to say it just happened. Because to us, it just happened.
Meghan Jill
IIRC, the producers of Survivor had originally forbidden ANY of the castaways from making any sort of public statement or appearance until the last episode, when the winner was announced. However, the show was such a huge hit that they relented and let the final five or six do a big spread in People Magazine a few weeks before the end. Perhaps the same thing is happening here? I think all the Apprentices except two or three were quoted in the People article a few weeks ago.
Rabrab
I don't know, Rhonda, I haven't seen any interviews with Troy. I may have missed them, though, if there are some. I have seen articles about him that incorporate brief quotes. Also, way back at the beginning of the show, there was a sort of "joke" interview with Bill on some radio station mentioned. He never said anything, apparently, but responded by pushing the buttons on the phone. I'll look and see if I can find a reference to it.
Grifter
We discussed this a little further upthread, but Katrina has gotten even more blatant and ridiculous in TV Guide than on Today. It's really disturbing she is pegging Amy for being a slut, but then playfully says she won't reveal who the two guys are like it's just all fun.

I'm hardly a feminist, but it really disappoints me to see supposedly successful business women acting worse than when Puck got booted off Real World. The saddest part is it's strictly the women. Can you imagine if Nick gets fired tomorrow and then tells Matt Lauer, "I can't even believe Bill's still in there. He's so pathetic. I mean after the show was done taping, he went after my sloppy seconds... but I won't say with which female candidate..."

It almost seems Katrina was not only jealous of Amy's success during the game but also of the attention Assorama got after her firing. No press is bad press, I suppose.

Did the writer of that Hollywood Reporter even watch the show? I hope not, or else Nick might be a little miffed at being referred to as being on "the girls' team."
Tashanir
Hire a publicst and listen to him or her. Not that I give a shit. But, get thee out of the media.

See, that's what makes me question all of Katrina's (and Omarosa's and Ereka's) claims to be getting all sorts of offers for endorsements and entrtainment related jobs.

The behavior exhibited by these 3 girls has been a publicist's nightmare. They get worked up, fire off their mouths, say stupid, stupid, STUPID things with absolutely no regard to their public persona. The are impossible to reign in. They don't seem to have anyone advising or guiding them. The first thing they'd be told is "Shut the fuck up. You don't want to come across like a petty, bitchy lunatic."

If they are such idiots in interviews, then they have GOT to be complete nit wits when meeting with agents. There's only so much that an agent can do to spin a person...and these people are just ....way past being spun. They have a window of time to capitalize on the attention. Maybe 2 weeks after being fired. Ereka wasted her time bitching about Nick, Bill and Omarosa. O...well...ummm..yeah she blew it, too. And now Katrina with her obsession with Amy. They have all come across as bitter, angry, juvenille, petty bitches.

I don't think any of these 3 women have been offered squat, taken meetings, etc. And if they were it was while the show was on and they were still somewhat "likeable" or "understood." But any offers they had will mysteriously disappear. But Kat and Ereka will hit all the NYC parties desperately looking for attention. Why is it I can so easily see one of these girls pulling a temper tantrum when they find out they aren't on a guest list, screeching, "Don't you know who I am???? I'm from The Apprentice!"

Am I the only one chomping at the bit for that reunion special? Good God....
I can't wait to watch this showcase of Dueling Bimbos.

Amy article in a south Florida publication. Hee! I imagine Katty's seething over this one.

You know, maybe Amy is "playing" us all. She might very well be a scheming, manipulative, psycho bitch, but, at least in this article, comes across as humble and likeable. "I'm not really that nice," -- that's humility and a sense of self. "Just a normal Austin gal." Again, humility.

I would not be blown out of my socks if the whole thing isn't an act, if she's just "playing nice" to seem likeable. Even so, she seems to have a much, much better understanding of human nature than, say, Katrina.

How do you get people to like you?

Katrina: Call other girls sluts, talk snotty about designers, use poor grammar, and do a lot of complaining

Amy: Act humble, laugh at yourself, have fun.

Hey, Katrina, it may be an act, but it's anything better than you've tried!
YourDensity
My impression is that Amy *is* a nice person. I mean, we all have our ugly sides, but many of us are very nice people. Chances are alot of the folks on the show are really nice people in real life. Troy, Bill, Amy, Kwame all seem like nice people. I also thought that it was cool to hear that Amy & Kristie are really good friends now.

Those are my two favorite women on the show, who seemed the most "with it", professional and drama-free.

I really liked that article. Amy seems like a great person.
spice
Henry says she has kept in touch with some of her Apprentice-mates, including Troy, Kwame, Heidi, Ereka and best-friend-on-the-show Kristi.

Interesting.... No mention of Bill. The article says she is still "friendly" with Nick but she really downplays their relationship as just part of the show.

She does come off as rather nice though. And she's friends with the nicest people of the show, imo: Troy, Kwame and Kristi.
SerendipityCA
On the NBC web site for The Apprentice, if you take the poll, you'll come to an entry page to "receive the same Chrysler vehicle as awarded to the winner of The Apprentice."

This is my impression also. I'm just saying that even if it's completely false, it doesn't matter -- we'll only "know" her through the media, and from what I've seen so far, she's winning the media game hands down.
Tashanir
Katrina in this week's Us Magazine...

"Amy had relations with Nick. They did it everytime the camera people took a break. It was also convenient for them to go to the bathroom together at the same time--cameras can't go there."

Now...wait...wasn't the whole camera crew thing much ballyhooed during the Omarosa/Ereka scandal? 27 camera people, camera on them at all times, constantly miked...blah blah blah...so...now we're supposed to believe that the camera crews took break and therefore there weren't cameras on these people at all times?

Do any of these half-wits ever check with each other or ..say..READ A NEWSPAPER...so they can get their bimbiotic stories straight?
portergirl99
Amy had relations with Nick

Had relations? Is it 1958? This made me laugh out loud. I guess the image of Katrina fudging the terminology and using "relations" in an attempt to sound classy just cracks my shit up. It's s.e.x. Katrina. Say it with me.

I guess Amy was doing it in the bathroom in between shoots while BFF Erika was calling Assorama the n-word and Sam was sleeping on the floor. Maybe he should have lent Amy and Nick his bed so they didn't have to do it in the crapper. Holy shit these people are deluded.

Oh Katrina. You are so very very sad. Still dropping bombs on Amy in an effort to draw attention away from your own dismal performance.
erinjsnark
Yeah well, I "had relations" with the UPS guy when he came in yesterday and asked me to sign for a package... in the literal way. Hardly constitutes a relationship or sex. Give me a break, Katrina.
archer1267
It was also convenient for them to go to the bathroom together at the same time--cameras can't go there."

Come on! We've seen numerous shots in people in towels brushing teeth, primping, shaving, etc. in the communal bathroom. And since it's the only bathroom in the suite, Amy & Nick would be hard-pressed for privacy...unless Katrina meant they were actually in a toilet stall (possibly the only place cameras weren't allowed).

Let's assume for a moment that there were trysts in a toilet stall (ewwww). Wouldn't the camera have picked up the lovebirds sneaking into the bathroom together, or following one another in there? I'm surprised there wouldn't have been at least one shot of that, given how juicy the hint of it would be for viewers.

Seriously, I don't know what Katrina is hoping to accomplish. Painting Amy as the "class whore" is sooooooo high school. It wouldn't surprise me if Katrina is scrawling "Amy Henry is a slut" on the walls of public bathrooms everywhere - with her tube of black eyeliner, of course.

If Amy & Nick did the bone dance every chance they got, so what? They're both consenting adults. I'm guessing Katrina thinks that their relationship is the ONLY reason she was in the BR last week. Guess Omarosa's self-delusion was contagious.
kattam6175
If the rumors about Amy and Bill hooking up after the show are true...

There is absolutely NO WAY Mr. Ethical and Upstanding Bill would be with Amy now if he had watched for weeks as she & Nick went off to "have relations" every time the camera crew wasn't around. Bill doesn't seem like the type who would lower himself to taking someone else's sloppy seconds.
Miss Alli
It's particularly horrifying to me that Katrina, having seen Ereka attacked in the media falsely and seeing how upsetting it undoubtedly was to her, would then turn around and try to destroy somebody else's reputation out of pettiness, much as Omarosa did to Ereka (though with a less damaging, and not as obviously false, smear).

These people are really setting a new standard for tacky-ass behavior in their post-appearance media appearances.
Blondie
OMG! I just "had relations" with the UPS guy, too, Erin.
I feel so dirty!
bettyfinn
ITA Miss Alli!

I do not at ALL condone Omarosa's attack on Ereka. It was horrible, and inexcusable. That said, I think she was attempting to explain her conduct in the context of the pot/kettle remark. Of course, it didn't work, because it was a lie, and a gross lie at that. Still, she was (very poorly) attempting damage control.

What in the world is Katrina trying to accomplish by smearing Amy?

It's one of the only reasons I think Amy makes the final 2. It seems that Katrina's smear campaign may be an attempt to influence DT.
portergirl99
What in the world is Katrina trying to accomplish by smearing Amy?

bettyfin IMO it's a classic attempt to divert attention away from her own shortcomings and failures on the show. Typical move of a deeply insecure person. Must first point out other people's shortcomings while at the same time playing up her own supposed 'successes.'

As in the fact that she was casted as the sex symbol of the show because she's just so hot. Yeah, right. Right up until she opens her mouth.
